We’ve ordered from this restaurant maybe three times and literally every single time something’s gone wrong: once we waited an hour and then the order was suddenly cancelled (it was just a standard pizza ordered about 2.5 hours before closing time, and it’s a four-minute drive to our place), another time the wrong pizza arrived, completely cold; and again yesterday we ordered desserts – there were supposed to be three boxes, ice cream and cheesecake – everything was mixed up; instead of a brownie, they gave us a biscuit, and instead of the lava cake (which was supposed to be in the box), only the ice cream was the right flavour, but the portions were large instead of small. However, that didn’t help, because we still only received one box instead of the two we’d ordered. We went there in person and the manager said, “We didn’t have what you ordered, so we gave you something else” XD I’ll overlook the fact that they don’t update what’s available, but since literally the whole order was wrong, they do have a phone number after all – all they had to do was give us a call and sort it out… A total disaster and the worst, most disorganised restaurant in the whole of Waalwijk; we gave them three chances and we won’t be giving them another.

Very disappointing experience. Our order was delivered more than half an hour late. Upon arrival, the pizzas were cold, we received the wrong pizza, and the wrong crust to boot. As if that wasn't enough, the dessert turned out to be faulty as well: the cinnamon bun was delivered without cinnamon powder and without sauce, making it essentially just a plain bun. A mistake can happen once, but with this order, absolutely everything went wrong. For the price you pay, you expect an order to be delivered correctly, completely, and hot. Unfortunately, that was absolutely not the case. Therefore, we cannot rate this experience positively.

The delivery time has never been this bad, and what I received did not meet my expectations at all! After waiting 2.5 hours, the replacement product didn't even arrive! I came here for a quick snack, ordered a hot dog in the pizzeria,it took em 15minutes to serve a freaking hot dog I got served my hot dog in a box ,no enjoy your meal or anything. I don't recommend ordering delivery from this place at all. I ordered through the Thuisbezorgd app, waited for 2 hours, and my order never arrived. I kept calling the restaurant, but they didn’t answer because they were already closed. In the end, I had to cancel the order since it was clearly never going to arrive, and they left me without dinner when it was already almost midnight. New York Pizza showed absolutely zero professionalism.

What a hopeless situation this is... ho ho ho, not the pizzas!! The pizzas are amazing, but the staff is so incredibly lazy and they really don't care at all... whether you have to wait 3 hours for your food, or end up receiving no food at all, it makes absolutely no difference to them... total no cooperation or even any interest in the fact that you want to be served... it has happened to me so many times now that I'm really not going to order there anymore... I had a terrible experience at New York Pizza in Waalwijk today. I ordered at 5:02 PM and it wasn't delivered until 7:40 PM. That's a wait of over 2.5 hours. In the meantime, I called twice, and both times I was told the delivery driver would be there within 10 minutes. That turned out to be untrue. When the delivery driver finally rang the doorbell, I asked if the pizzas were still warm. They weren't fresh and were still a bit warm. He himself said that wasn't possible and that he would let me know. That speaks volumes. Time management is clearly a major problem here. Promises aren't kept, and the wait time is truly unacceptable. Reason enough for me not to order from them again.

Never order from here again. We waited over two hours for our pizzas. We called fifteen minutes after they were supposed to arrive to ask if they were on their way, but no, the pizza was on the counter and was on its way. After forty-five minutes, I called again, and no, they were actually coming. As you can probably guess, everything was cold and tough, and then you try calling, and they just don't answer or cut you off. Waste your money elsewhere!

The guys were incredibly patient despite our indecisiveness and really lovely with the children – they even got a little something extra. 😊 The pizza was delicious and the wait time was absolutely fantastic considering the amount we ordered! Probably the worst pizza I've ever eaten. It arrived completely cold after two hours. The sauce was a total disaster. I don't recommend it.

I've always been satisfied with this New York Pizza branch, but the last few times everything has been wrong. From lukewarm pizzas to extremely late deliveries, etc. This last time was truly the last time I'll order from here. I ordered the pizzas quite early for early delivery, as we know deliveries have been taking a bit longer lately, but unfortunately, they didn't arrive on time. We were patient, but after two hours we called. There was no delivery van, but it was coming and they said everything would be delivered within 20-25 minutes. Unfortunately, they didn't, and after half an hour we called again... they had made a mistake; it was about a different order. Our order was supposed to leave in 10 minutes... We called again and told them we didn't want the pizzas and wanted a refund. Of course, no problem... it took so long... you'll get the pizzas delivered and your money back. Unfortunately, the manager wasn't allowed to give us a name, and of course, we won't get our money back (it's already been two weeks). A big, fat 1 rating for New York Pizza Waalwijk! I hope the brothers (the owners) read this sometime!

Something is always wrong here. Either they are at least 30 minutes late and when you call the delivery person has "just left," the order is incorrect, and/or it is cold. It has been like this for years. It is about time they hired decent staff/leadership....

The pizza was delicious, it arrived a few minutes after the promised time, I haven't had any major problems yet (especially on Saturday, when I'm waiting at home in rainy weather), although the cookies weren't brought (but later a courier on the way replaced them. I can understand that if there are problems, I would continue to order from here, although it rarely happens. I wish for improvement in accuracy and speed as soon as possible, because I didn't experience any mistakes in manners.

Tonight I placed an order at this restaurant. Everything that could go wrong did. I ordered at 4:40 PM, but the order didn't arrive until 6:27 PM. Just smelling it, I noticed something different, and after tasting one piece of shawarma, it was immediately clear that it wasn't vegan shawarma. My friend tasted it to confirm. As annoying and unfortunate as it is, that can happen too. I called the restaurant about the above. I explained that several things had gone wrong with the order and immediately received a curt and sharp response, "What then..." I couldn't even manage an "oh, how annoying." That's fine, you're probably busy, so it's taking so long for a reason... I've had several service jobs myself, so I always try to come across as reasonably cheerful. I'm very aware of that because I know how tough it can be on the other end of the line. But when I started talking about the cans, even mid-sentence, I was met with a grumpy response: "I'm going to print the receipt." I asked, "Can I continue?" and was met with the first layer of raised voice, followed by a reiteration that he was going to print the receipt, and then he put me on hold without waiting for my response. Quite overwhelmed and surprised... But okay, I understand the stress, the tension; a lot can go wrong on nights like these. And that can be overwhelming. The gentleman called me back from the hold and allowed me to continue my story (that too was rather strange, but oh well). I tried to make a joke by laughing, "Oh well, thank you!" After I explained what else had gone wrong (especially the "no vegan pizza shawarma," which was a real bummer, because after waiting almost two hours, I didn't even have anything to eat), I was initially met with a sneer: "Is that it?!" Um, bizarre... The solution was to send a new shipment. There was absolutely no understanding, no response, only curt, grumpy responses. I explained that wasn't what I wanted, I didn't want to wait for my food again, I wanted my money back, but I kept getting interrupted and couldn't even say it... Then, in a rather raised voice, the man accused me of interrupting him, of being disrespectful, and of yelling at him. I even tried to apologize for coming across as angry, because actually, I wasn't (though I can imagine that if you get a customer on the phone where everything has gone wrong, you can quickly interpret it as angry, and that's how I came across). But in response, the man raised his voice dramatically and kept accusing me of interrupting him. This also made my emotions run high, and I tried repeatedly (eventually raising my voice) to explain that he was constantly interrupting me and that I couldn't even say what I wanted. Finally, I hung up after he started reacting more and more violently. Literally yelling down the phone. I find it bizarre. Truly bizarre. That everything that went wrong was reacted to like this. My friend was sitting next to him, and his phone was on speaker. He, too, was extremely surprised at how they reacted, how they treated me, and confirmed that the man had already been very heated in the conversation (right from the start).

We ordered two pizzas, which took over two hours to arrive. One of the pizzas was gluten-free, but it was delivered with the wrong toppings. After calling, they couldn't guarantee whether the pizza was gluten-free or not. They did, however, confirm that it contained lactose. But gluten and lactose are two different allergens. They were able to deliver a new pizza, but they couldn't tell us how long the delivery would take. We had to contact customer service for a refund. It was incredibly strange that the issue couldn't be resolved immediately. They even offered to go to the location for a refund, but that proved impossible. It's outrageous that allergens are handled this way. I will NEVER order from them again.

If you can't guarantee that you can deliver "hot food" and "on time," stop delivering to that region. When you order food through Thuisbezorgd, it says 20-55 minutes, and then after ordering, you're given a timeframe of 1:15-1:30, which they then miss by over 30 minutes. Two hours for cold food!

Never had such a bad experience with Thuisbezorgd. I waited outside for an hour because they said over the phone that the delivery driver would be there soon. Wednesday evening, and I waited two hours?! When he arrived, the food was freezing cold (and his car was still completely full of other (probably cold) pizzas). The guy on the phone said he couldn't help the delivery driver being so slow... apparently, way too many orders for one driver!!

Yesterday, I ordered a half-and-half pizza with half tuna. When it arrived, it turned out to be chicken shawarma. I called the store and was told they were busy and had run out of tuna, so chicken would be the replacement. It was absurd that a completely different pizza was delivered without consultation. The delivery was outrageous, the food was outrageous, and the service was outrageous. Think 100 times before ordering from here. First of all, the wait time was 50-75 minutes (possible), but unfortunately, the food wasn't delivered until 105 minutes later. Anyway, when we received our food, it turned out they'd forgotten our sauces. When we called to report it, we were asked, "Do you still want the sauces?" Ridiculous. Even when they delivered the sauces, they'd forgotten another sauce... To top it all off, we received a cold pizza after 105 minutes and had to fish for the tuna (I wouldn't even consider the price for 6 people).

Last time, there was no sauce on the pizzas, and they didn't call about it when I ordered through the app. So I called after the pizzas were delivered, and they offered two free pizzas of the same size next time as compensation. They claimed they were out of dough for the largest pizza (I think this is the exact same dough, just rolled out thinner, so I think they were blatantly lying)... I agreed to two 35cm pizzas instead of two 40cm pizzas, and they said it would be delivered within 20 to 30 minutes... After an hour, I still hadn't seen anything, so I called to ask where they were... Apparently, they couldn't find it, so the delivery driver drove back, and that was it... I didn't get a call; I had to find out! I explained that this was strange and asked how that was possible, since I had clearly indicated that the neighbor's address should be used for navigation. After a very strange phone call, I discovered that the street name was misspelled, but I didn't hear any apologies on the phone! Okay, so another attempt at delivery, another 40 minutes later, still no one, so I called to ask where my pizzas were. I got an irritated voice on the phone saying they were still on their way... I think 5 or 10 minutes later, the delivery driver finally showed up and also indicated there had been a miscommunication... I just opened the pizzas, and I'm 99.9% sure they put meat on my vegan pizzas that should have a meat substitute. It doesn't look like a meat substitute, it smells like real meat, and after a quick taste, it clearly looks like meat to me. I eat a plant-based diet, so I could get really sick from this! (Luckily, I'm not allergic!) You've lost me as a customer!

Ordered via Lieferando on July 17, 2025 Our order wasn't delivered at all. I ended up standing on the street from 11 p.m. and waiting for 1.5 hours until the next morning to see the driver... But to no avail, no one came! No one answered the phone for 2 hours until the restaurant finally closed... We simply want our money back... We waited for our food for many hours (in vain)... Because it's not nice to go to bed hungry... Because at that time of night, there were no other alternatives to ordering from! Just a refund, and that's it!

I didn’t get my food they just took my money and they didn’t even bother calling me. After 2 hours i called them they just said that the delivery guy was there but noone was picking up and that i gave them the ,,wrong number”.

The food was super tasty but for the third time we got a cheesy bread instead of the garlic bread we ordered. This is the third time this has happened and no one calls us or asks if it is ok to use another bread. It is not even finished because when we sent it back we did get the right bread.

There was a woman behind the counter who was not aware of the current promotions. The order was entered incorrectly and too much money was returned. (so don't put it online, you would think) I've already called 5 times to get my money back, now 14 days later I still haven't received any money... ridiculous!

Preparing pizzas all by herself, answering the phone and speaking kindly to pushy migrant workers. Not very efficient this way. But the pizzas were excellent. Thin base, not greasy, perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Give this lady a raise very quickly.

Waited until 11:30 PM, called again but got the answering machine. Pizza never arrived. Which had already been paid for. Really a bad tent.

I ordered a pizza with 5 types of cheese, but I received a pizza with tomato sauce and very little cheese.

New York pizza has also fallen to the Halal invasion. Shame. So I won't order from them anymore. Really getting tired of the amount of restaurants / delivery restaurants that are switching to halal. First of all, it is meat from poorly treated animals (the former broiler chicken) and secondly, it is not permitted for Christians because it is meat sacrificed to idols...

This is the most worst place ever I see it. It is takes forever to delivery the pizza the people work there is not helping at all they are lying they took your money and not delivering anything never ordered from them.

Ordered pizza, waited 2 hours. In the application, they say that the order was delivered, but they never received it. Just horror. I do not recommend. Such institutions should be closed.

Sitting for 2 hours waiting for something to eat! In between I called where they were...but no, they were on their way, in the end I never got anything!

Very sad... waited 1.5 hours for our food and then got the wrong pizza. Ask without onion and pepper, and get extra, it seems. Too bad because this is the last time we order here. Next time old and familiar with dominoes.

The worst food in Waalwijk! Avoid and don't order! Next time I'd rather eat junk than this cold pizza! We waited 3 hours for it, it arrived cold and with old ingredients. I would be ashamed to give such a pizza to a homeless person, let alone send it to a customer! They should all be fired, including the delivery person who doesn't even know the difference between building 1 and 2

After 15 minutes of waiting inside as the only customer in the store, I watched as the staff did everything but what they were supposed to do. There was gossip about customers while we were in the shop, they were just distracting each other that they hadn't even put our pizza in the oven yet. When I said that this is really not possible and that I did not need the pizzas anymore, a girl from the staff literally said with an attitude: what is your problem. Well how about you guys didn't even start my pizza? And I think she is the problem because she distracts all her colleagues that her colleagues even had to say Ssst to her continuously (I have even heard private conversations from them, her father is Polish). From reading the reviews that people have to wait a long time, it is clear that not because of the crowds but because of the youth that 'works' there. I don't understand why there is no adult or manager present or supervising on the work floor because they literally don't do anything!

Never order here, it always takes at least an hour longer than indicated and then things often go wrong when you order

Very bad experiences. I have ordered several times and each time there is an average wait of 2 hours for lukewarm pizzas. And when you call you get a lame comment that they didn't expect it to be busy (on a Sunday!!) and that they couldn't do anything about the fact that the expected delivery time does not match the time you see after your order . Also with the comment I made that I would have understood if they would come later if they had just called politely, they indicate that they are not going to do that because they will not be productive if they have to call everyone.
