New York Pizza in Centrum

The fatbike delivery drivers regularly scare the living daylights out of pedestrians and families along the way with their irresponsible riding behavior in pedestrian areas. Inside, the atmosphere is particularly uninterested. The service fits in perfectly with that. It is nice to see that they are so consistent in taking potential and existing customers into account. An experience to keep in mind when ordering here.

Lacks atmosphere; we had a pizza for 14 euros but she filled in 16. We weren't treated normally either, like the service in a normal restaurant. In short, don't go there.

I ordered a pizza tonight. At one point, I received a call from the delivery driver. He refused to ring the doorbell. He told me I had to come downstairs to pick up the order, otherwise he would leave it outside the door. I called the restaurant later: 'That is not good to hear, sir, apologies...' and they immediately hung up. Bizarrely bad customer service

That manager is a really annoying, disrespectful bitch. She hung up irritated in the middle of the phone call. Terrible customer service. The website listed Steltz cans that turned out not to be in their assortment; they don't offer refunds and we were compensated with Red Bull, which cost less, so we ended up spending more money than necessary. I find it disrespectful that the manager hung up in the middle of the conversation. And she had a very big mouth and a passive-aggressive attitude. We had paid for delivery and ended up having to pick it up because they couldn't find it. The food is cold.

I recently ordered from New York Pizza in Arnhem and I was really impressed! The pizza was deliciously fresh, the taste was superb, and everything was at the perfect temperature. A special thank you to the team, because everything was really warm and well taken care of, even though it was so busy. Truly top-notch service!

1 for food because I never got to try it. 1 for service as I never got my food. 1 for atmosphere because they will mock you and shut the call on your face. They lack of professionalism and lack of respect.

They scammed me 2 times already. There will not be a third one. Place managed by cocky kids who argue with you instead of finding a friendly solution.. really bad service.

Had a delicious loaded pepperoni pizza and it was so good that I ordered another one; after a few beers that really hits the spot. It's just a shame that I couldn't find the tasty sauce that was on it when ordering, but definitely recommended.

Ordered for 4:30 PM. They called to say they didn't have any delivery drivers, so I'd have to wait until 5:00 PM. It was a bit annoying, but okay. They promised me it would be delivered right away at 5:00 PM and would be with me by 5:15 PM at the latest, so I accepted. I called again at 5:30 PM and was told all the delivery drivers were on their way and my order wouldn't be delivered until the next round. I really don't think this is acceptable. I ended up getting my food 6:00 PM, and guess what, it was completely cold. Poor service, they don't keep their promises, and they take advantage of you. Very disappointing.

Not good. The caprese pizza was sour and really not good. The double pepperoni pizza turned out to mean you get 6 pepperoni pieces instead of 3. Not going back.

Worthless. I placed an order on a Tuesday evening at 9:00 PM, and it was supposed to be delivered between 9:45 and 10:02 PM. I called the store at 10:10 PM, and they said they were very busy, and it was going into the oven... another 45 minutes later, the order arrived. But 15 minutes before it arrived, the website already showed "order completed," and the store was closed in the meantime, so I immediately went to voicemail, after which they hung up. I can understand it being busy on weekends, but on a Tuesday evening at 9:00 PM?

***EDIT*** after posting this review I was contacted by the branch and they have refunded me. Ordered €50 worth of pizza, never arrived and no refund. Contacted customer service and no one replies. Support your local pizza places instead.

Limp, overpriced, dry pizzas, with a dry crust and lots of dry flour. Changing orders (before they were even being made) to a larger size was no longer possible. The place was uninviting, definitely not a place to sit. It got cold quickly. Yuck. I could only eat 3/4 of a small 10-inch pizza, even though I hadn't eaten all day. Dry food. Cheesy bread on the side, also freezing cold, even though the pickup service is a three-minute walk from my home dining location, and I was the only one in the store being helped. Terrible pizzas; you're better off going to the Piramide.

I regularly eat at New York Pizza, it's super tasty, they deliver well and are friendly in the store too, they do everything they can to get your pizza ready as quickly as possible and it never takes too long.

I think most people only write here to complain instead of showing that they also provide good service and products. I mean, look at this beautiful pizza I received! Sometimes it can take a little longer than 15 minutes, but at least I get a hot pizza :) Definitely recommended :) Don't be fooled by the old reviews because I've been ordering from here for years, and it's almost always been good.

I find the service very pleasant and friendly. The bakers and delivery drivers are always enthusiastic, cheerful, and friendly. That's what catches my attention, and certainly that of others. I think it's a great place, and they certainly have delicious pizzas. They make every effort to ensure you receive your pizza hot and as quickly as possible, so that's why I give it 5 stars.

We placed our order at 4:00 PM for 5:15 PM. Around 4:45 PM, I received a call asking if they would arrive at 5:45 PM. Of course, no problem. At 7:00 PM, still no pizzas. Don't make promises you can't keep.

I called this place days before ordering to inform them about my order. The phone call went smoothly, and arrangements were made. On November 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM, I actually placed the order for 80 pizzas online, and a colleague of mine was scheduled to pick them up at 9:00 PM. I thought I'd call around 8:00 PM to see how things were going. The woman I spoke to the day before picked up the phone, and she had no idea what I was talking about. After scrolling through the online orders, she finally saw it, but said 9:00 PM wasn't feasible because no one else was working. 9:30 PM was feasible. I sent a colleague over, and the pizzas weren't loaded until 9:55 PM. They tasted fine, but this experience means we'll never order from them again. Unreliable regarding appointments, and on the phone, I didn't feel they appreciated me providing an update on an order of 80 pizzas (which, in my opinion, requires ingredients, manpower, and planning). This business doesn't want to make money!

Where is my money, NY pizza?? On March 27 (!!) I cancelled an order of 83 euros at NY pizza Turfstraat. To this day I have not seen a cent of it back. I have been told six times by NY pizza that the money will be refunded. And I have not received anything six times. I also went to the branch to get the story. There I was told the same thing: "This time it will really, really be fine." That was 5 working days ago. Still nothing. And I still want my money back. If I order something and pay for it, and then cancel it, I expect NY pizza to honor their side of the deal. After all, they also expect me to pay for my pizzas properly as I did.

Even one star for this place is to much!! People are angry and not polite at all!!!! I ordered two pizzas by promotion and received only one!! When I called to the customer service they told they don’t have it while on the app they do! Insane.

Don't order your expensive food at New York Pizza Turfstraat Arnhem anymore. They deliver frozen, unbaked and unfinished products right in front of you. I had the flu and didn't feel like cooking so I ordered Cannelloni. It is then delivered deep frozen, without being baked and finished (see the photos). And I have also transferred a tip for the delivery person in advance. The sad thing is that when you give New York Pizza Turfstraat Arnhem the choice; or money back or compensation in some other way they promise everything but deliver nothing. A completely unreliable company that New York Pizza with completely unreliable products and quality. Be warned folks. I will never order from New York Pizza again.

Everyone hears about the delivery and the staff, but did you know that they work with products that are out of date?

Terribly bad service! Ordered via home delivery, it first took 1.5 hours before they could deliver. Then called, they arrived... 20 minutes later still no call, called again. Apparently we didn't write down our address and telephone number correctly (not true!) so we had to come and collect it ourselves. Once there, you are given cold pizzas, no compensation for the nuisance they cause. Nice, being able to eat the cold pizzas after 2 hours. Extremely bad service, not even worth a star rating.

Ordered 2 pizzas, 1 hot chicken and a chicken spinach. I had to wait more than 2 hours for this and had to call twice. Then the hot chicken pizza was lukewarm, but I was still able to eat it. However, the chicken spinach pizza had clearly fallen. Still put it in the box because everything was in one pile in a corner. and just like the hot chicken, lukewarm to cold. It's scandalous that you even dare to ask for money for this. Service still 2 stars because the employee also thought NY pizza was a bad company, she admitted during delivery and she is not wrong about that.

Upon arrival, 2 uninterested girls were on the phone, sitting on the plate where the pizzas are prepared. Didn't look at us and didn't say anything when we (the only ones) came in. We stood in front of the cash register for 3 minutes to order and they didn't look up or turn around. Then we had to ask if we could order. Toilet also very dirty. I never post reviews, but this time it's really necessary. Highly recommended!

I ordered 2 potato wedges and I received them both in 1 box without sauce. For the rest it had arrived on time.

So very disappointed in New York Pizza Velp... Ordered pizza several times and had problems almost every time. Then the wrong pizza is delivered, the order is delivered incomplete and not everything has been delivered during the follow-up delivery. And then the icing on the cake: you order pizza and salad at 8:30 PM to have it delivered at 9:30 PM. At 10:00 PM I had not received anything, so I called the branch to ask where my pizza is. What then turns out is that the branch can no longer be reached by telephone after 10 p.m. The pizza was finally delivered at 10:25 PM, but the salad was missing. So this became yet another delivery. Just done with this misservice and definitely not worth a try...

I pray to god that this place will go bankrupt, or will be burnt down. The people working there are mentally disabled. My last order was 6 months ago and it was for the million times a disaster. It came after 4 hours!!! And now after I got the courage again to order these mentally disabled people text me and said that my order will come 2 hours later and when I called them after still not receiving my order these mentally ill people told me that the pizza was already on his way, but I asked are you sure? And then she asked me my address and said on no! I will make it right away. How sick can you be! Just be homeless or sell yourself on the streets. I was a bit worried about my order because of the reviews, but in the end it went relatively well! Unfortunately, we have experienced several times that delivery times are very long, often between 1.5 and 2 hours. The pizzas usually arrive cold, so we have to reheat them in the oven at home. When we contact us by telephone, we are treated unfriendly and there is no trace of customer friendliness.

I ordered a salad and it was all brown. Some pieces were rotten. When I called them about it they said they were busy and couldn’t do anything about it. They also said that I was wrong because the lettuce got in this week so it was new.

I have an allergy to onion. When I ordered Nachos, I indicated in the comments that I did not want onions and peppers. Unfortunately, I received my order with onions and peppers. When I called NY pizza Arnhem Turfstraat for this, I got Seraya on the line. She could tell me without empathy that it was not their fault that things went wrong. It was too much to ask to recreate the order. It was also not possible to give my money back. So I have now paid 9 euros for Nachos with onions that I am allergic to. Ridiculous service.

It always takes too long here and then you get a big mouth on the phone from some idiot. If you look on site it is a dirty, greasy mess. Then you immediately don't feel like it anymore. Especially when you see the fat people who work behind the counter and prepare the pizzas.

Excellent pizzas in themselves. But we ordered two children's pizzas with a gift and we did not receive them. The delivery person promised he would come back for the gifts but that never happened. The phone was not answered for the rest of the evening. Result: two disappointed kids.

I'd like to give New York Pizza a chance, but I think this is really bad. - EDIT: I just got a call that I think it's taking ridiculously long, with the tip that they might have to close orders if they can't handle the crowds, I got a very smart comment back that I don't have to give tips and if I do it that way I would also like to be able to pick it up. We ordered 2 pizzas and a bottle of Fanta at 6:30 PM. The pizzas took an hour and a half to be delivered. They had forgotten to deliver the Fanta bottle. It was finally delivered 2.5 hours after ordering. One pizza was tasty, the other pizza was hard in the middle and not tasty.

Orders are often late, cold or cannot be ordered at all.

Last night my husband and I were really looking forward to pizza, it was already a bit late and we hadn't eaten anything yet. Saraya and Giovanni were on duty and were working super chilled. There was such a good atmosphere. Thank you for the wonderfully prepared pizzas (they were delicious) and the coupon processing. We will continue to eat the ice cream today. Top team!

**Complaint about Thuisbezorgd.nl and New York Pizza** I recently placed an order via Thuisbezorgd.nl at New York Pizza with order number MTCNLO for a "Downtown Döner Pizza" without onions. Unfortunately the pizza still came with onions. After contacting New York Pizza, I was told that the problem was with Thuisbezorgd.nl and that they had to solve it. Thuisbezorgd.nl's customer service only offered an unsatisfactory solution in the form of a 15% discount voucher for a next order. I am disappointed with the incorrect delivery and unsatisfactory customer service. A discount coupon is not enough to compensate for this disappointing experience. I hope that Thuisbezorgd.nl and New York Pizza will improve their service and take complaints more seriously in the future. *1 star* ⭐️: Unsatisfactory service and incorrect delivery. No appropriate compensation provided for the error made.

Don't order from them! I ordered my pizza online and they said it would arrive in maximum 40 minutes. I called 70 minutes later and they lost my order. They offered to remake it and deliver it in 20 minutes. I called 30 mimutes later only for them to say they cancelled my order because they were too busy. They didn't even apologize
