Tasty, for a nice price, good coffee, with a snack. A combination of 2 dishes was no problem, very tasty! I will come back!

Once again we had a delicious meal with friends who were pleasantly surprised. We again opted for the chef's menu, but because I announced at the very last minute that lactose is no longer my best friend, the menu was adjusted and I did not have to be inferior to my table companions. (Don, next time I will let you know with the next reservation because we will definitely be back! 🙏🏼)

French speakers, at the entrance, we ask for a table for twee. At the same time, we ask if he speaks French. You never know and the language barrier would be less present. The response was strange but hey, we understand that it will be English. “Here we are in the Netherlands. We speak Dutch or English.” Well accentuated with his finger pointing towards the ground!! We are the only ones in the restaurant and we are asked to sit down. We choose a table sheltered from the cold coming from the door. We are told that it is reserved.... We choose another table .... it is not very clear. Grease stains. We end up sitting on a table near the front door. A person comes to take the order... No menu for drinks and the menu is limited to midday (lunch). Good to know, there is no real meal for lunch (dinner for the Belgians). Two other people come in, the door remains ajar with the accompanying cold. It's up to us to shut up!!!!! We order a bottle of water and two dishes. The dishes are completely acceptable. The salad is good. The bottle is a pitcher priced at just under €6. A little expensive for water whose origin is unknown. We go out at 1:30 p.m. and the reserved table has never been occupied. We were 4 customers in this fairly large restaurant. Mixed experience. Are we welcome? Normal not to know the price of drinks? Isn't it a legal obligation to indicate this?

The food is varied. Sometimes good and other times less so. Service is attentive, but sometimes you have to wait a long time.

Looks old-fashioned, but will be renovated soon. Food is great and staff very friendly and attentive. Asked whether they should take theater visits into account.

The Oase is slowly becoming our favorite restaurant! Great quality and variety of dishes (kudos to the owner/chef!), good advice regarding matching wines, excellent service, attractive interior. Kudos to Roos and Donny for the quality they offer. We hope to enjoy it for a long time...!

Good quality with even better service

The name of this beautiful catering facility was chosen very well by Don & Roos. An excellent location to enjoy a delicious meal. Predominantly French cuisine but something for everyone. A more than good menu and an excellent drink selection. Enjoy the dishes that the chef conjures up. Extremely friendly and hospitable service. Also very professional. Oase is located in the historic city center of Bergen op Zoom. Parking spaces nearby. A visit to this much-famed eatery is highly recommended. Reservations are recommended due to the crowds.

It is nicely decorated, but the food and service were poor. After 2 hours we had only had a starter and when I asked if we could have our main course because my elderly father was tired and we still had to drive a long way, they responded with 'nice and convenient' and that we had been too slow with the appetizer. The food seems to have been saved on all sides, carpaccio without parmesan or pine nuts, mediocre quality and much too salty meat and all plates are the same with cooked vegetables, only the piece of meat is different. The only positive thing was the friendly youngest employee, Mr and Mrs, on the other hand, were grumpy.

Had dinner at Oase on Sunday September 22, 2024 and had a really great evening! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and is nicely decorated. We had sufficient privacy. Had the carpaccio and tataki (beef) as a starter, followed by the tournedos with port jus and the steak au poivre. Really delicious, compliments to Don👌🏻 The service was also great! Good advice and real, genuine hospitality. After dinner we had a nice chat with Don and Roos, which ensured that we really had a TOP evening. This restaurant is highly recommended!!

Indeed an oasis of peace and delicious food. A big compliment to Don and 🌹 Roos. We will definitely come back.

We found the hidden gem in Bergen op Zoom! Small backyard but oh so attractive!! Add delicious dishes, good wine, friendly service and you get: Oasis!

If you are not in a hurry and want to enjoy yourself, take the chef's table. Be surprised and enjoy the delicious dishes and matching wines.

Ate at Oase for the first time on June 2. It was delicious! Starters Ravioli with celeriac, truffle and gorgonzola sauce TOP. Asparagus velouté with salmon and shrimp TOP! My wife had the tournedos as a main course and they were also excellent. (I was not asked how it should be cooked) I opted for the Ibirico pork oyster myself. Delicious fries with homemade mayonnaise (a lot of mustard). Delicious stir-fried vegetables and Rösti. The desserts, mango tart and crème Brûlèe were also great. The service was young but very attentive and friendly. I thought the wine arrangement (2 glasses of wine for 18 euros) was a bit pricey. The wine was very tasty. All in all, definitely recommended and we would love to come back again!

Food tasty, but not high quality.

Salmon starter was tasty, a bit sparse in presentation, capaccio was just plain, no bread or anything. Main course mediocre plain beef and my tournedos was completely raw! I'm not asked how I want this! No, never again for us!!! And the service was very grumpy! Poor disappointing meal!

We regularly have a delicious culinary evening at Restaurant de Oase. A wonderful atmosphere, friendly hostess, fantastic menus and delicious wines. Highly recommended if you are looking for an affordable culinary evening instead of eating out.

The food was very disappointing. Wine was fine and service was not that bad, although inattentive and you have to ask for a drink otherwise you don't get anything. My partner had beef tenderloin and I had cod as a main course. We both got the same plate of food, namely 2 potato croquettes and a pile of fried vegetables in a butter gravy. The steak looked pretty good, but the cod was slightly overcooked. What bothers me is that no dish was made. It's just a meat or fish option with 100% the same plate of food. And then add potato croquettes… all pretty poor. Everything from Sligro... but you have to pay full price as if you were in a real restaurant. We didn't have dessert.

Ate for the second time, just like the first time, fantastic!!!!

Leuk restaurant heerlijke gerechten, goede wijn. Ontvangst mag vriendelijker, de Service kan wel beter. ( Tip zet bij een menu gelijk extra patat op tafel ipv eerst vragen of je het wil.)

Gisteren heerlijk gegeten bij oase. Was een verrassingsmenu. Het voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en toetje, alles was fantastisch. En ook zeer vriendelijk opgediend door Roos en dochter. Gewoon een fantastisch restaurant waar je zeker naar toe moet gaan.

Gewoon erg goed. Verrassings menu was erg lekker en origineel. Aanrader.

Een lekkere high-wine, met happas en tapas. Smaakvolle saté en spare ribjes. Goede wijnkeuzes. In een sfeervolle stadstuin met een vriendelijke bediening.

Rechtaan rechttoe restaurant. Prima prijs kwaliteit.

Voor het eerst stapte wij hier binnen om te dineren. Gastvrij ontvangen door een van de gastvrouwen. Plaats genomen te hebben waren we benieuwd naar de kaart. Er was een beperkte keus. We namen een voorgerecht Garnalencocktail, Hoofdgerecht scampies en een tournedo. We hebben zelden zo,n smaakvolle garnalencocktail gegeten. Scampies stonden niet als hoofdgerecht op de kaart maar de kok was bereid om dit als hoofdgerecht te bereiden. Tournedo was overheerlijk. Borden waren mooi opgemaakt met verschillende groenten. Kort om onze keuze om hier te gaan dineren was een zeer goede keus geweest. Ga zo door.

Nieuwe favoriete restaurant in Bergen op Zoom en omstreken

Geweldig lekker gegeten! We hebben het verrassingsmenu genomen en dat was top. Wijnarrangement verrassend en goed. Er loopt niet veel bediening rond maar ze komen op de goede momenten langs. Ik zou zeker hier weer gaan eten als ik nog een keer naar bergen op zoom kom!

Zalig lunchen op het binnntuintje bij Oase in Bergen op Zoom. Bisque afgewerkt met kabeljouwhaas en garnaaltjes Frisse salades en een droog wit wijntje. Don en Roos alweer bedankt. ❤️🥰

Achter een eenvoudige mooie gevel word je warm en vriendelijk ontvangen door de dame des huizes. Eenmaal aan tafel....en onze lieve rustige hond Olijfje is welkom.....geniet je van het surprise menu......bereid door de chef. De ene culinaire verrassing na de andere......een betaalbare klasse....een stille topper in Bergen op zoom.

Heerlijk gegeten in een geweldige ambiance. De combinaties van wijn en eten zijn geweldig. De gastvrijheid alsof je thuis komt.

Heerlijk gegeten met de kids aan de Chefs table. 5 gangen met bijpassende wijnen. Goed rekening gehouden met dieetwensen. Niet te lange pauzes tussen de gerechten. Prijs kwaliteit was helemaal top.

Schickes Restaurant. Etwas gehobener aber echt smaklijk.

Heel lekkere high cocktail. De plek was leuk en gezellig ingericht. Eten en drinken erg lekker, aanrader!

Wij hebben een fijne avond gehad hier met z'n tweeën. Goed eten, vriendelijke service en ruim ingedeeld zodat je een rustig gesprek kan voeren met je eigen tafel zonder afleiding.

Gewoonweg klasse!!! Nog nooit in Bergen op Zoom geweest, maar alleen al voor dit restaurant zouden we terugkomen. Afgelopen zondag met 4en heerlijk verrassingsmenu genoten.

We waren een weekendje in Bergen op Zoom en op zoek naar een lekker diner. De Chef’s Table bij Oase bij Don&Roos. We hebben echt genoten van de 5 gangen heerlijk en eerlijk eten. Bediening top, chef nog aan tafel geweest. Kortom voor ons een dikke 5 sterren. Komen graag nog eens terug.

We hebben genoten !! Dat zegt genoeg !!

Ik geef 5 sterren en die hebben de eigenaren dik verdiend! Geweldig eten met heerlijke wijnen. Zeer gastvriendelijk en de timing van de bediening is perfect. Sfeervol met Middeleeuwse details, maar met een moderne keuken!!! Voor herhaling vatbaar in 2023!

Altijd is het eten tip top in orde en heerlijk. Een echte aanrader

We waren hier nog nooit geweest maar door deelname aan de Food a la Route kwamen we hier terecht. Wat een prachtige Oase van rust en een warme uitstraling als je binnenkomt. Het vriendelijke personeel bracht je naar de tafel toe en toen ze het eten kwamen uitserveren kreeg je netjes te horen wat het was,en waar deze producten lokaal vandaan kwamen. Het is voor ons echt voor herhaling vatbaar. Een echte aanrader voor iedereen ga er echt een naar toe zowel voor lunch als diner of gewoon wat drinken dan ziet u wat ik bedoel 👍

Een heerlijk restaurant met een ontspannen sfeer en dito bediening. Een aanrader.
