We had a great time with a large group, the place is lovely, and the service is friendly. The recipe for the pornstar martini needs to be re-examined (the foam, glass of prosecco, and a spoon were missing).

We ate delicious mussels and the service was great!

Spanish night, held on the last Thursday of the month during the summer months. We had a delicious paella! Highly recommended!

I ordered a €12.50 grilled cheese sandwich. Well, I expected a lot. After waiting over 35 minutes (while we were the only customers), our sandwich arrived. Nothing special. And for that price! The taste was good, but not worth €12.50.

The first time we sat there, we were given lukewarm beer and the wrong drink. The terrace was packed, and the staff didn't speak Dutch.

Nice café by the old harbor. The view is lovely, but unfortunately the service wasn't great. I had to get their attention several times before I could even order, and I was ignored multiple times when it came to paying. This was despite the fact that they were serving the people at the next table. They are very friendly, though. Cash payment is accepted. For a proper meal, you should try somewhere else; they only offer small snacks for a relatively high price.

Gnome cycled🚲🚲 with Kwebbel from the center of Rotterdam to Mushroom Hill, and after Kwebbel suggested we try a large 300g schnitzel, we landed at the Oude Haven via the Spanjaardsbrug. Despite the crisp gray sky and a light drizzle, we parked the horses🚲🚲 and sat under a parasol at Poort Caffee. We had a view of the water, and a kind staff member very thoughtfully gave us some warm blankets.👍 A very nice location with a view of the Witte Huis, the harbor, and the old shipyard. And yet, it was wonderfully peaceful. Since Gnome really doesn't like schnitzel🤷‍♂️🤣, I wanted to try it. Kwebbel had also chosen this option with pepper sauce. Kabouter got the schnitzel with excellent, golden-yellow, crispy fries and mayo.👍👌 (it's definitely in the top 5 category of delicious fries🍟) The schnitzel was good. For his review, Kabouter had removed the fried breadcrumbs on top for flavor.👍 But I can say that the schnitzel with or without the fried breadcrumbs was simply a good dish. Deliciously simple, but simply good👍👌 The waitstaff was very friendly, and the owner thanked us for visiting. Afterwards, we had a coffee and an Irish coffee before climbing back on our horses 🚲 for a relaxing ride 🚲 home. It was a lovely place, and Kabouter will be back regularly for refreshments.👌👍

Delicious food! The daily special spareribs were fantastic, simply a great meal with tasty fries and mayo! Definitely recommended, thanks for the lovely evening!

We thought we'd enjoy a drink on a terrace on this beautiful Sunday afternoon with wine, beer (€10!), and a luxurious snack. The latter was subpar, over-fried and with a strange chicken nugget, all for €25. The menu listed various sauces, but it was served with just one. When we mentioned this, we were given two more containers of mayo and ketchup, not even mustard, which you'd expect with bitterballen and cheese sticks. We won't be returning.

The service is okay, but the prices are really high, and the food? We'd planned to have a fancy snack with our €10 beer, which was exorbitantly expensive (but okay, you expect something), but what a terrible, greasy, deep-fried place it was. I'd definitely recommend passing on.

The service was poor. The restaurant was very cold, and the food was cold as a result. The menu is also more limited than what's listed on the website. The portions were far too small for the price. I left hungry and with numb fingers. Never again! While the restaurant does have potential in terms of atmosphere and location, the food tasted fine, but nothing special.

Great place. Generally friendly staff, except for one woman who seems completely uninterested. Otherwise, the food is delicious. The wine selection is disappointing; it could definitely be a bit more extensive.

Recently had a delicious paella here. It is certainly not inferior to the one in Spain. An absolute must!

Tried the Spaanse Poort once because of the paella. That was a pleasant surprise, you will not be disappointed here. We remain honest because paella takes a long time, but at the Spaanse Poort not unnecessarily long, but more than worth the wait. A great portion (still a doggie bag to take home), richly filled and very tasty. We enjoyed it. Not only the food, but also the nice and friendly staff who want to give you a nice evening.

Our first visit wasn't a success, but we were persuaded to come back a second time, and I can only say it was a fantastic evening! Attentive service, incredibly good food! And a great vibe! Tip! Try the paella negra 😍😍😍 We'll definitely be back (regularly) for that Spanish vibe and the service!

Hello, the reason I gave you 3 stars is first for the increased waiting time for a paella. The waiter informed that there would be a delay, but waiting for one and a half hour was too much, as a result we had to cancel it. Because of the promotion you are doing outside, there shouldn't be such a big delay. (-1 star)!! It was also not pleasant that the sangria, although it looked excellent, unfortunately we could not try it because serving by the glass is not an option, we had to buy the whole jug, something which we didn't want. (-1 star) Thank you very much and I hope I helped ☺️

Worst service ever!!! A wine bottle was served without a wine cooler (it was 32 degrees Celsius that day) and without glasses! All the glasses were dirty. The food had been on the table for 15 minutes (it got cold) without any plates or cutlery. I ordered paella, but it tasted more like rice with broth. It wasn't paella at all. I ordered three plates and received a total of six mussels and four shrimp, and that was it. After filing a complaint, they gave the excuse that they were short-staffed. It didn't seem that way. You need to give your staff better instructions because they were running around like headless chickens. Furthermore, the chef was eating from the large paella pan with a spoon, which was nice and fresh for the guests. After the complaint, they refused to do anything about it. They will never see me there again, nor will they see anyone around me who I informed about it!

Terrible service. We sat down at 8:45 pm and ate at 10:30 pm, after several reminders. The waiters are improvised, they don't clean the table, they bring you the appetizers without even giving you paper napkins, not to mention cutlery (those don't exist...). To be avoided for dinner.

It is indicated in advance that the paella can take three quarters to an hour, but unfortunately it took considerably longer. The staff has little overview and it took a very long time before someone came by to take the order. In total we waited about 1:30 to 1:40 for the food, the taste made up for it somewhat and we also got a drink on the house, but if you have little patience it is not recommended. Also a beautiful view, especially during the early evening hours.

Just got home from a lovely evening at the Spaanse Poort. The food was delicious, and the service, despite the heat and crowded patio, was excellent! I'll definitely be back (to try the paella)!

We randomly stepped into this restaurant and were having the best Paella of our life! The chef "Hennie" is absolutely welcoming and caring about his guests and made our evening a very special one! Thanks for having us! All the best from Cologne

We had a delicious paella. Both the mixto and the negra were fantastic. Lovely terrace by the water, excellent service with a sense of humor. A little more fruit in the sangria would have been nice, but that's just my personal preference, I think. Definitely worth repeating.

One star because I can't give zero. We had a reservation to eat there around 6:00 PM. The only thing they asked us was if we wanted drinks. We finally left at 7:00 PM because no one took our food orders. Even the staff had started eating earlier (they were eating a meal behind us). The staff chatted with random people on the street and paid no attention to them. They just walked past you when they saw you trying to order. We ended up eating somewhere else on Witte de With, where the service was much better. I hope you'll do something with the feedback and not just send me a standard message... We won't be back either. Addition 3/8: I sent an email over a week ago, but haven't received a response yet.

We were drawn in by the amazing view! Unfortunately, the service was ultimately abysmal! First, our order of two beers was completely forgotten, and we had to go inside ourselves (we were sitting outside) to let them know and place our order again... the waitress who had taken our order didn't even offer an apology. Then, at the end, we were surprised with an exorbitant bill of over €50 (€75 instead of €33!!) 😱, which also took time to sort out. According to several employees, there are no blankets or throws available in case it gets cold outside. We were directed to the patio heaters, but they were all switched off. In short: Great view, terrible service. There are definitely better places nearby with just as great a view, but with better service.

We ate here on a rainy Friday night. The paella was delicious! Although the filling was a bit thin. The sangria, unfortunately, was awful. It was cava with some fruit floating in it; it didn't even remotely resemble sangria. Seriously... taste what you're serving; this was truly embarrassing. The service was inconsistent. A nice young man, but also a woman who "threw" food on the table without looking and without cutlery. We ended up getting it ourselves. Even though it wasn't busy at all, orders were forgotten a few times. And we'd hoped to try a dance since the place is advertised that way, but unfortunately, we didn't hear any music or see any dancing. The place has potential (they should probably decorate it a bit more attractively), but oh, oh, so much is still missing. Still, I'd like to try it again later this summer to see if they've done anything with the reviews. It could be so much fun!

A beautiful spot by the water, but the service was mediocre. Initially, the waitresses came to check on us, but at one point, it took ages for them to come and take our order. The wait time for paella is at least 45 minutes, so that's something to keep in mind. The taste was fine, but very greasy.

No nonsense oysters clapping with good wine and great service. Absolute recommendation!!
