The table was sticky. It was wiped down with a soaking wet cloth. The tuna sandwich wasn't anything special, with little decoration, just pieces of bell pepper. Expensive for what you get.

I had an appointment with my father there today. He arrived about half an hour early. No one had come to ask him if he wanted to order anything yet. The table we were sitting at still hadn't been cleared of the guests before us. After we ordered, she brought the food and quickly cleared it as well. The tables next to us were empty by then, but the mess there too remained on the table for a long time. After lunch, we ordered a pastry and coffee. She brought everything back again to a table that was once again uncleared (from lunch). Incidentally, I had to keep going over to them to order, both for lunch and the pastries afterward. Then you end up with a hefty bill for a completely chaotic experience. Such a shame!

Lovely place, but the food could be improved. The staff were kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was really nice both inside and outside. The coffee was fine, though there were a few coffee grounds at the bottom of the mug. The boiled egg was fully cooked but served in a cup meant for soft-boiled eggs, which felt a bit odd. The “farmer’s ham and gouda cheese” sandwich looked great, but the ham and cheese slices were very thin, and the flavor was quite plain — a bit disappointing for €13. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot with great service, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations.

Grilled sourdough beef pastrami - grilled sourdough sandwich with beef pastrami, sweet and sour cabbage, Gouda farmer's cheese, and spicy horseradish sauce. For 13 euros. A mouthful of ingredients, but very sparsely topped.

Great spot for a quick, healthy breakfast. The smoked salmon toast was fresh and flavorful, with excellent bread. Pastries were tasty too!

High price/low quality. Only some of the bread is good, all other things get 1 star. A day-old coffee roll for €3.95 is the reason I'm writing this review. I even bought two.

Great bread but rly rly expensive items on the menu. A sandwich for almost 13e which is in the end only one slice of sourdough bread with toppings. Tasty smoothie but it was mostly ice in the glass, barely no juice. Overpriced, definitely.

Very friendly service and good food with a large selection, both for breakfast and snacks. There is also an English menu. You can only pay by card, but this is clearly marked.

This is a large place with a bakery shop section and an indoor and outdoor seating area. Everything is very spacious inside, it was just a bit cold. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Definitely recommended for breakfast or lunch!

The bread is probably better? Dont go for the sweets. The tarte was overbaked, dry. They should be ashamed to sell overbaked tartes for that price....

They have a lot of varieties that deserve to be tasted! Either you are a tourist in search of a good bakery or a local with a desire to try out something new and authentic, come to visit Vlaamsch Broodhuys.

Last Saturday, my wife and I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast at Vlaamsch Broodhuys on Nieuwe Binnenweg, Rotterdam. The cozy, rustic interior with repurposed wood and tiles made for a warm welcome, complemented by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked sourdough. I went for the ham and grilled cheese sandwich, which was perfectly crispy with rich, melty cheese, while my wife had a freshly baked scone with clotted cream and jam. Paired with a smooth coffee, it was the perfect start to our day. The service was friendly and attentive, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere. Whether for breakfast, brunch, or even their High Tea, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Have been coming regularly for years and always feel welcome, the bread is excellent, lots of variety, and the people are extremely warm and attentive. Special shout out to Lauryn for always bringing a smile to my face and having a story to tell, you are amazing!

Ontbijten op een zondag ochtend kan hier lekker relaxed. Fijne sfeer en genoeg keuze uit heerlijke broodjes. Zowel belegd als gewoon lekker zoetige variant. Goeie koffie ook.

Coffee in a glass, you can do that at home. The interior is very loud, you hear the kitchen continuously, so the idea of ​​an open kitchen misses the point.

Came here for a quick lunch again. The freshness and quality of everything served is immaculate and I can easily recommend this place. The salad tasted amazing, the avocados felt fresh and creamy, the nuts sprinkled all over added a serene crunch and the leafy greens were tasty. The bread was fresh had an interesting taste and alongside the butter, felt delicious to consume. The juice was served fast and was very refreshing. I love this place and will visit again soon. Nice place, good and fresh food, decent service. Will go again for sure.

Nice place, you can get good To-good-to-go boxes! Usually a good thing. However, was not satisfied with the leadership last Saturday. After we ordered something to take away, we were no longer allowed to eat it outside on the terrace, we were asked to "sit somewhere else". Ultimately, after a lot of whining, it was allowed, so it was unnecessary from the start. Mediocre leadership, not flexible, there is still something to learn. Possibly read 'Dale Carnegie's book on the basic principles of inspirational leadership and human behavior. Otherwise a nice place, hopefully they do something with the feedback :)

One of the very best Croque Monsieur (Tosti in the Netherlands) I have ever had. Sourdough bread with wonderful ingredients in top, and with a spicy sauce on the side. Just a little gem

Excellent healthy food with delicious beverages

Went here for lunch for the first time... we registered inside that we would sit outside. The place was empty, and yet it took almost 15 minutes before they came to take our order. we ordered two sandwiches, an orange juice and chai latte. I must admit that sandwiches were very tasty. But we ordered a warm tuna sandwich and a warm pastrami sandwich, and they arrived with the pastrami sandwich and a pulled chicken pesto sandwich. The sandwiches looked generously filled on their website, but in reality this was very different. The sandwiches at €12.95 each were very empty. The pastrami sandwich had a lot of sweet and sour cabbage and a thin slice of pastrami, while the pulled chicken sandwich had too much pesto and little chicken, so all you could taste was pesto. And the chai latte... I've tasted better, much better... This was nothing. We will try the one at Meent one day, but at Nieuwe Binnenweg... Never again.

I'll start with positive feedback: I've come back here several times because everything you can get here is really delicious. It's a shame that the times I've been here, I've always been very disappointed with the service. Something always goes wrong; or it takes a long time, or something is forgotten or misunderstood. The staff seems friendly at first, and I don't know whether it is their fault or the business operations, but they find the customer friendliness lacking. Today I got 3 sandwiches and 2 coffees, of which 1 sandwich was not ready and still had to be made. My friend had already started eating his sandwich and asked for a glass of water, to which we were told that this was not possible because we had taken away. (…) after a short discussion I was given a glass of water. A few minutes later I get my sandwich - my friend eats his - another girl arrives to say that we have to leave as we have take away. There was hardly anyone inside, we didn't occupy a seat. Again - maybe this is business management - but again I think it is downright customer unfriendly. You really don't score any points as a business.

Nice location, nicely decorated. However, things did not go well with the order. The coffee ordered at the beginning only came after asking twice (so when we had almost finished eating) and the ordered de-caff iced coffee unfortunately turned out to be certainly not de-caff. This makes a very unpleasant experience given the sensitivity to caffeine. Very sorry!

We wanted to have lunch here on Sunday. It took a while before the waiter noticed that we wanted to order (20 minutes). Then we waited another 45 minutes for our order (2 sandwiches), but after 45 minutes we left because we thought it was taking too long. All other tables were also occupied but none of them received their orders, which did not give us much hope that the order would come quickly. Too bad, because they do have a nice card.

Been there a few times with a group. Gives street walks himself. Always come by there. And usually at that point the groups ask, can we offer you a coffee or sandwich? And then I always suggest going to the Flemish bakery.

Hoge verwachtingen als je de naam leest, maar wat een teleurstelling. Broodje warm beenham bleek een niet te snijden tosti te zijn geserveerd op een vettig houten plankje. Het glas van de aardbeien bananen smoothie hadden ze eerst gevuld voor driekwart met gewone ijsblokjes. De vloer was smerig en in het toilet waren geen handdoekjes of handdroger. Nooit meer.

Leuke tent. Gezellige sfeer en vriendelijk personeel. Eten is ook prima.

For me i think the food/drinks are expensive. 10-15m later i received my food and my first impression was : this is it???? I pay 12.95€ for this? I started eating and the tuna sandwich was delicious , i enjoyed every second of it. And i realised the tuna sandwich was filling my stomach really quick. In the end for me the 12.95€ was worth it

Leuk zaakje op een goeie plek op de Nieuwe Binnenweg. Zeer uitgebreide/ overlappend menu in het Engels; Come on😒!? met basis brood of gebak. Na veel speurwerk komen we tot een tosti heet zo iets als;" kids fire cracker". Op internet wel Nederlandse vertaling en alles 3 euro goedkoper!?

Uma pitoresca padaria Holandesa... Ótimo lugar para tomar uma café da manhã, um comprar pães e bolos para um lanche.

Hightea genoten op een zaterdagmiddag. Qua hightea moet je al te veel high verwachten. Het belegde zuurdesem brood ziet er weliswaar leuk uit, maar qua smaak lijkt het allemaal op elkaar. Het zuurdesembrood smaakt ook naar stof. De gebakjes erbij zijn weliswaar lekker, maar ook vrij standaard. Je krijgt onbeperkt thee. De bediening is vriendelijk, maar ook weinig oplettend. Als je meer theewater wilt dan kost het enige moeite om aandacht te vragen.

Lekkere koffie met gratis gebakje erbij. De koffie was lekker warm. We hebben ook nog lunch besteld maar vergeten te fotograferen. Er staat sandwich op de menu, maar je krijgt alles apart. Een mozzarella “sandwich” bijvoorbeeld, de tomaten en kaas in een aparte schaal en het brood op een ander bord. Dat vond ik wat minder. De smaak was goed. Het brood uiteraard heel lekker.

Wij zijn hier gaan high tea’en. Het is goed gelegen, makkelijk bereikbaar. Je krijgt best wel veel per persoon. 4 sandwiches met verschillende beleg. Ook kreeg je verschillende gebakjes. Deze vond ik wel heel zoet en te zwaar. Over het algemeen goed en je geld waard

Vieze tafel, vies glaswerk, biertje niet koud, duurt allemaal ontzettend lang. Eten was ook helemaal niet bijzonder. Zou allemaal veel beter kunnen. En voor het geld misschien zelfs wel beter moeten.

Got the mango, coconut creme Suisse tart €4,60. Not convinced. The tart base was not great, doesn't taste buttery. The creme was good, but while eating it, I didn't feel like everything went together

If you get a sandwich take-away, its ~7€ . If you eat-in, its €12 and they bring it to you on a slab of wood…. Cant believe i just payed 12 € for a tasteless open face sandwich. Do I get to keep the plate at least?

Bediening is niet heel gastvrij & tompouce voor Koningsdag was €3,75 🥲 was lekker maar niet extreem bijzonder en een beetje in elkaar gestort haha.

I walk past this place every morning and every evening but because of my work hours it’s always closed when i pass. yesterday, finally, o got to visit during kingsday and it was worth the wait. the best oat latte i’ve had in the netherlands so far! and the sandwich was exceptional. love 💕

I've been buying their leftover bread from TooGoodtoGo and the loaves are wonderful. I'm not the biggest bread fan but whenever I get a hankering for it I'll come here.

Wat een fijne winkel. En wat een fantastisch brood. Brood zoals brood hoort te smaken en gemaakt hoort te worden. Up-date 22 april Nog steeds een top winkel. Personeel is gastvrij en het assortiment geweldig!

Heel vriendelijke bediening en goede prijs-kwaliteit. Ideale ontbijtplek als je graag een belegde boterham wil eten of iets zwaarder wil ontbijten. Als je op zoek bent naar pancakes, eitjes of bowls, ben je hier aan het verkeerde adres. Tijdens het ontbijt ook veel lokale inwoners die hier hun brood komen halen.

Really good simple breakfast except for the coffee, who seems dirty water. Fresh and crisp baguette and superlative creams and jams. Only one lady at opening who serves fir everybody also the bread shop is not enough: one hour spent inside! Maybe later could be better but I don't know. In any case the kindness of ladies is a plus.

Even een broodje eten bij het Vlaamsch Broodhuys op de Binnenweg. Veel van gehoord en hoge verwachting. De capuchino en Latte werden lauw, op het koude af, geserveerd. Nergens voor nodig. De zaak zelf stoffig en vies. Hier was in geen weken fatsoenlijk schoongemaakt. De inrichting smoezelig. Wat ook niet meehielp is dat de serveerster De deur open laat staan als ze het terras (het was 4gr Celsius) serveert. Op de kaart bijzondere boterhammen de Melt Chicken was smakelijk maar de kip was ver te zoeken. De humus met boerenkaas was eveneens smakelijk. De porties voor ons te klein. Best prijzig. Alles bij elkaar geen aanrader.

Cappuccino was lauw saucijzenbroodje was te gekruid maar dat is mijn smaak dus ....maar ook niet echt warm Jammer is het nou echt super druk maar was rustig geef meer aandacht voor wat je bereid
