I ordered this cake from Şölen. It is made beautifully, just as you can see in the photo. I left it up to the pastry chef; the concept and creativity are a solid 10/10. I was shocked by how good it is, but what shocked me even more was that it tasted super delicious. Usually, they make it look nice, but the taste is less impressive. But it is super beautiful and super delicious, and worth every penny of what I received. You guys are the best at baklava and cakes; keep up the good work. I will definitely be back.

Very sweet people and delicious sweets

I regularly bought pastries and other sweets at this shop whenever I passed by. A few months ago, I decided to order a cake for the first time. I thought: if the pastries are tasty, the cake must be good too. I showed a photo to the cashier. She told me that it was not possible to put "Happy Birthday" on this cake. I found that strange; I don't understand why that couldn't be added. On the agreed day, my husband came to pick up the cake, but to our surprise, it wasn't even ready. At first, I thought he was joking. After all, I had already read negative reviews and bad experiences from other customers who had ordered a cake here, but I thought they might be exaggerated. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. The organization is truly poor and the staff is very unfriendly. You have received so many negative comments and reviews, yet nothing seems to have changed. It is a shame, but I will not be coming back here to buy anything. It is a pity that a business with such delicious products pays so little attention to service and customer friendliness. That is why I have unfortunately lost a customer.

I ordered a cake for 15 people with the condition that it only had whipped cream decoration. It didn't matter that much to me if the color was slightly different, but I did explicitly explain that I didn't want large decorations on the side that stood out so much. Unfortunately, they didn't listen. I even called them to say that I had explicitly asked for this. Especially for a cake costing 100 euros, I think they should have resolved this properly. I never called back. I also went here specifically because, based on the experience of friends and family, I heard that cakes cost 40-50 euros (decorated and all). But I found it insane that I had to pay 100 euros. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to look for another bakery, so I just agreed out of time pressure.

The sweets in this shop are delicious and excellent compared to other Turkish shops, but the lady who sells them is not nice at all. I visited them about two months ago and bought from them. The saleswoman spoke to us in a disgusting way. I told myself maybe it was because of Ramadan and fasting, so she was tired. But yesterday I went and bought from her again. It was the same lady, and I greeted her, but she did not respond. Honestly, I was going to leave. I did not want to buy, but I was forced to. I bought, and when I was leaving, I greeted her again, but she did not respond. Therefore, I will not buy from this shop again.

Instead of answering our questions in a normal manner, he/she used a blunt tone and raised his/her voice to the point where it almost seemed as if he/she was going to attack us. Such behavior is incompatible with both professionalism and basic respect. As a customer, I feel that I absolutely do not deserve this treatment. The fact that someone with this attitude has direct contact with customers constitutes a serious problem for your store. I demand that this incident be investigated immediately and that the necessary disciplinary measures be taken.

We have been regular customers of Solen Patisserie for years. The baklavas are always fresh and crispy. And personally, I only eat the tulumba from Solen, because it is one of the few that is deliciously crunchy.

I asked via WhatsApp how much earlier I should send a message to order a cake, since I live far away. You replied that it had to be "a week in advance." As soon as that week arrived, I sent several messages but received no response. Because of this, I had to drive all the way to the store to place the order. I clearly specified a specific day and time: 12:00 noon. We arrived at 1:00 pm, and the cake still wasn't ready. You even asked me what flavor the cake was, meaning you were still making it at that time. Then I was told to come back in an hour. What's the point of placing an order a week in advance? An hour later, I returned to pick up the cake. When I opened the box, I saw that the cake wasn't made for 10 people as agreed, and the design was completely different from what we'd discussed. Because of this, the cake arrived too late for the surprise. Furthermore, the quality was disappointing; the cakes in the display case even looked better than the one I received. The staff seemed unconcerned and unprofessional in their handling of the situation. The only solution was a €10 refund. This is completely disproportionate to the effort, time, and expense of driving back and forth twice. If I have to pay that much for this nonsense, I'd rather make the cake myself. Your service is terrible, and your organization is even worse. Even the staff don't know what they're doing. You explain exactly what you want on the cake, and they can't even communicate it correctly. This was the last time I set foot in there.

I was near Sölen Patisserie and decided to pop in. The shop looks nice and well-maintained from the outside, and is easily recognizable. We ordered an Oreo strawberry cake from Şölen Patisserie for a birthday. The employee assured me that the cake would be filled with strawberries and have an Oreo flavor. However, when cutting the cake, this turned out not to be the case. There was no trace of Oreo to be seen, except that the appearance was somewhat similar to Oreo, and the promised strawberry filling was completely missing. Drama. I call a day in advance to ask about the gift packaging. They indicate there is enough, blah blah blah. When I get there, the staff doesn't know anything about it at that time. After fifteen minutes of searching she found one, covered in dust and dirty. After filling the baklava completely with syrup, try to clean it yourself at home. It's a gift box, handle it properly?! All those points within this experience just makes this a worthless thing. The products may be good, but the quality is determined by the customer's experience.

Vandaag gestopt voor de heerlijke baklavas, die riepen mij gewoon naar binnen, gewone baklava gekocht 1/2 kilotje. Eenmaal thuis een bakje thee gezet en 2 stukjes baklava gepakt. Ik heb er goed aan geroken, bovenste deel gepakt, daarna de pistache en als laats het onderste deel. Mijn oordeel: helemaal goed, van boven krokant, goed gevuld met pistache, suiker/boter water mengsel heel lekker. Mooie winkel, aanwinst voor de buurt.

Baklava zoals het hoort te zijn: een smaakbeleving die per variatie uniek is en dus niet 'gewoon zoet en vet' zoals bij de gemiddelde Turkse bakker. Personeel is misschien niet altijd vriendelijk, maar ik heb daar geen last van. Zolang ik gewoon met mijn heerlijke lekkernijen de deur uit kan lopen is mijn bezoek geslaagd!

Blijkbaar is Sölen een begrip en ik snap waarom. Hun baklava is echt heerlijk. Ze zijn knapperig wanneer ze het moeten zijn of juist zacht en smeuïg. Ook noet te zoet, maar precies goed. Ideaal ook om te trakteren op werk, aan je vrienden of te delen met je familie. Uiteraard een extra stukje voor jezelf. De winkel is overzichtelijk en schoon. En de medewerkers zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Winkel is goed te bereiken met tram 25 en 20 of met bus 66 en 77. Met de auto kan ook, maar het is vaak chaos met het verkeer in de buurt.

Tijdens het offerfeest zijn ze blijkbaar gesloten, dit wist ik zelf niet. Toevallig was er een medewerker bij de deur, ik ben dus als nog geholpen, super klant vriendelijk.

De kwaliteit van deze baklava is in vergelijking met het standaard Turkse bakker assortiment van een hoog niveau. Zaak is opgeruimd en hygiënisch. Personeel doet geen dansje als je binnenkomt, maar staan je gewoon wel vriendelijk te woord.

Oke. Ik heb voor Sölen Pattisserie maar één woord.... Perfectie👌🏼... ondanks ik zelf niet in Rotterdaam woon koop ik mijn Baklava vrijwel altijd bij Sölen. Vers, lekker, authentieke ingredieënten en precies naar wens! Zo zou ik Sölen kort kunnen omschrijven. Voor de zoetigheid van Sölen zie je mij echt wel een uur rijden. Dus vooral voor de mensen die regio Rotterdam wonen is het echt een aanrader. Ruime keuze. Ook andere soorten turkse Traditionele zoetigheden zijn aanwezig. Ook er vriendelijke, vrolijke en sociale medewerkers met goeie humor! Zeer tevreden!!!!
