a wonderful place to wind down and relax. you can safely eat some gluten free food (delicious soup!), buy nice handmade products, chat a little. the owner was very kind, made extra sure i could get a nice meal despite my food intolerances. the atmosphere of oila bv is really one of a kind. thank you!

This is the best Chai I've had in Europe. And I've tried many. I typically like real milk but was talked into trying the sweet pea milk, which was surprisingly delicious.

What a lovely place to relax and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. After discovering this place on Friday, enjoying a cup of coffee, and having a pleasant chat with the owner, we returned on Saturday for a delicious lunch. The buckwheat galettes made by the friendly French chef are absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is super relaxed; you immediately feel at home, thanks in part to the sweet dog Clover 🥰 who walks around and greets every customer. I discovered this place during rush hour. The lovely girl and the chef were so kind. I had a lungo and a vegetarian galette. It was amazing. We met the owners and their dog Clover when they were walking home after work. They invited us to try their cafe. On our first visit, we enjoyed it so much that we signed up for their once a month tag along dinner. The experience was a true treat and a very welcomed introduction to the hospitable spirit of Maastricht!

Small cafe nestled in a concept store, everything is delicious!

I came here looking for a cool place to sit and read during the hottest parts of the day, as my home doesn't have air conditioning. This café was wonderful! Tucked into a little side-street and hidden from the busiest parts of the city center. The overall vibe is very cozy and inviting. There was a good variety of seating arrangements from a large table to a smaller sofa which I had to drag myself away from upon closing. I also really liked the menu options and the pricing was very reasonable. I ordered an iced latte and a grilled ham & cheese sandwich, both of which were made fresh. During my stay, I was also treated to the delightful smell of brownies baking in the oven. I will definitely be returning in the future to try the cannolis as well as (hopefully) greet the adorable dog guarding the front entrance.

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed. When we came in and said we wanted to dine in, the woman who was working there at the time made fun of my wording. Later, when I went to the restroom and noticed there was no sink, I asked her where it was. She explained that it was in the kitchen, so I went back to the restroom. While I was in there, the woman who was working there at the time, together with another person in the café, started mocking and imitating me, as my friend, who was waiting for me, told me afterwards. I find this behavior very unprofessional and unacceptable.

Lovely couple running the coffee shop (i suppose). She explained to me all different flavours when I asked here and took her time to advise me on what to choose. Pea milk is vegan milk option and gluten free pastries are available. Super tasty and cozy athmosphere.

Sad intention for a coffee shop. It is showcased as a tasty and organic cafe with a homely atmosphere, but what you get here has nothing to do with that. Tasteless chai where if you ask if it has spices in it, they add more syrup. Bone-dry carrot cake and a cheesecake that contains no cheese, but is actually a cheesecake. Please don't come here, it's not worth your money. Edit/addition after response from owner: Before I went to pay, I was approached by a lady to ask if everything was satisfactory. When I was honest with her about the cake being quite dry, I was told that this was because it was gluten and lactose free. Besides the fact that this was not mentioned anywhere, this gave me the feeling that my feedback did not actually matter. After this I was asked if there were any other things that were not to my liking, and I felt very reluctant to say anything about my experience. At the cash register I was told it was a cheesecake. Then I don't expect watery vegan cottage cheese that ruins the only bright spot of the cake, resulting in the soggy cake at the bottom. This quite unprofessional response is also completely in line with the experience we had in the store; that we had to wait half an hour for unmotivated service who brought the disappointing drinks and cake in question. In short, an unpleasant and disappointing experience in which (even after your experience) you as a dissatisfied customer are not listened to, but you are told that things should be that way and that it is actually your own fault for coming here.

Amazing service! They helped complete a gift card order for my girlfriend who is studying abroad in the area. They were extremely diligent, caring, and even hand wrote a card for her when she got there. Also, the food and coffee was phenomenal! Would absolutely recommend!

Fantastic little gem of a cafe, in a calm corridor... branched away from the hectic shopping corridors, you can always stop here for a nice coffee, some tea, pastries, and an incredibly relaxed atmosphere. The staff and owner are all super thoughtful and down-to-earth, which is a nice change from what sometimes seems like an artificial world which we live in. If you're a student or just visiting, I can absolutely recommend!

This coffee bar had such good reviews that we had to visit! We did some searching and passed the coffee bar twice before realizing we were walking past the right address. The reason is because at first glance you do not immediately see that there is a coffee bar in the building. The building is also a super nice shop that is definitely worth taking a look around. The coffee is very tasty, but for me personally the biggest asset was how friendly the staff was!

Probably the best ham and cheese sandwich I’ve had in a while, it was perfectly toasted and the amount of cheese was perfect! The owners are super friendly, the place looks really nice and the menu is funny.

Visited during our day trip to Maastricht. Initially went in just to have some rest with a coffee and we ended up having an awesome experience thanks to the lovely owner and her well curated selection of home goods and drinks. Charcoal latte was something never heard of yet super nice. All made with consciously selected ingredients. Owner did not hesitate to explain the benefits of the ingredients too. Oila was certainly and unexpectedly the best part of our day trip to Maastricht. I recommend without any exaggerations to visit Oila if you happen to visit Maastricht.

This sweet café in the middle of Maastricht's old town is really an absolute insider tip. Here you can not only drink coffee (which is sensationally delicious) and enjoy delicious pastries. No, you can also shop at the same time, because everything you see there can also be bought. Be it dishes, tables, chairs or the pictures hanging on the wall. We felt very comfortable here, not least because of the friendly staff. An absolute 5-star tip!!

The service was unfriendly and rude, leaving us feeling unwelcome. Despite the mistake in our order being their fault, we were unfairly blamed. Additionally, we experienced a lengthy 25-minute wait for our order. I recommend that they focus on making customers feel comfortable and stress-free.

I definitely don’t recommend this place. They were very rude from the first time we stepped into the cafe. We ordered 2 cannolis but they brought us 3 of them and not the ones we asked for. I kindly asked them to change it but the staff got mad and acted very rude. I don’t want to even mention about our drinks. They are very unfriendly. No communication skills.

Unfriendly and unmotivated service. The order of two drinks took over 15min to arrive even though there were two other clients who were already served. On top of that was our simple order wrong and the coffee was fine but not the best as it was advertised. This simply proves that looks don’t define taste and service.

High tea of een ander koffie momentje nodig? Vergeet Starbucks en andere grote ketens, maar kom aub naar Oila! Je voelt het al bij binnenkomst: authentiek op en top! Qua inrichting (een warm en gezellig thuis), qua service (vriendelijk en oprecht met een warme glimlach) maar helemaal qua food en drinks! We zijn verwend met een betaalbare en overvolledige high tea: een homemade, spicy aspergesoepje gevolgd door lekkere homemade hartige hapjes (teveel om op te noemen, maar de scones met lemoncurd waren errug yammie, alsook de 4kazen-quiche met broccoli, om maar de overheerlijke Italiaanse sandwiches met buffelmozzarella niet te vergeten). Tussentijds genipt aan heerlijke kruidenthee, waarna wij eigenlijk geen plek meer over hadden voor de zoete ronde: ook hier veel te veel om op te noemen, maar die rabarber crumble en velvet aardbeitaart waren priceless, laat staan de verse homemade brownies en iets soortgelijks met hazelnoot en chocolade). Ik ga niet meer naar koffieketens, deze vrouw die service maar vooral haar hart en ziel zichtbaar en voelbaar in haar koffiebar heeft zitten, verdient mijn geld meer dan grote ketens met alleen verkoop- en winstoogmerk! Vandaag een heerlijke High-Tea beleefd bij gastvrouw Petra van Oila. Het ligt eigenlijk iets te verborgen in het centrum van Maastricht en heeft naast een eigen keuken met heerlijke hapjes ook een winkeltje met leuke hebbedingetjes. De gastvrijheid is zo mooi aanwezig dat je je er binnen no time echt thuis voelt. De heerlijke opgemaakte high tea bestond uit een soepje, een hartig gedeelte en een zoet gedeelte. Erg veel, maar vooral erg lekker. De.gastvrouw heeft haar best gedaan in alles,...het was sfeervol en gastvrij. Het eten was top! Ik zou deze plek zeker aanraden 👍

What a brilliant experience! Something real in the middle of crowded and touristic city. Just a turn around the corner, few steps from the main street and you will find a true oasis of excellent hospitality and comfort. Petra, her husband and of course Hugo (a extremely kind bobtail in a size of an adult man, who loves to be scratched and petted) give you a feeling to be a part of a family in just a few minutes. And it's backed up by delicious coffee and homemade pastries. To visit this hidden gem is a must once you are in Maastricht.

We were greeted by Hugo, a super friendly old English sheepdog. Beautiful little coffee shop, with lots of character! This place has authentic italian cannoli! We tried the pistacio cannoli - superb! And the hostess were awesome - gave us lots of advice as regards to where to eat dinner. Will definitely recommend😉
