O’Learys at Mall of the Netherlands is a fantastic place for indoor games and family fun. We visited for bowling and dinner, and the bowling experience was excellent. The atmosphere is lively, the lanes are well maintained, and we had a great time together as a family. The only downside was the reservation process. I had booked through their website, but when we arrived, the staff couldn’t find my reservation and sent us to the first floor. After some back and forth, they asked whether we wanted dinner first or bowling, and eventually everything worked out. The real comedy started after bowling when we came down for dinner. A staff member asked if I wanted the “Social Deal menu.” I had no idea what that was. She then went back to the billing counter to check my booking again and returned asking whether I wanted to pay the normal bill or the Social Deal menu bill. In the end, she simply said, “I’m giving you the normal menu.” 😂 To this day, I’m still wondering what she actually meant! Despite the confusing reservation and dining experience, the staff were polite, the food was good, and the bowling made the visit worthwhile. I’d definitely come back for the games—hopefully next time I’ll also discover the mystery of the Social Deal menu!

Bowled with grandchildren on Friday at 4:00 PM. The bar was closed and the QR code for drinks didn't work, although payment did. We had to wait at least 20 minutes for drinks, and my wife had to keep going down the stairs to ask where they were. Fortunately, she wasn't going to join us for bowling. We did offer a free drink as an apology, but it was a shame; it caused a lot of irritation and didn't do the atmosphere any good.

Disappointing experience. We had booked a bowling and dinner package. Indeed, there was no one present at the bowling alley, but the system is self-explanatory and we knew which lane we had. Whoever designed the lane apparently has never been to other alleys, because the layout with a small table and bench so cramped that everyone has to shuffle in or out makes no sense, considering you have to get up every few minutes to throw. The lane itself was also acting up; it didn't seem very robust. We had ordered drinks immediately via the QR code. We asked for them 3 more times, but apparently drinks have to come from downstairs and it was very busy, was the explanation. Apparently, only beer is served at the bar upstairs, and there were 3 men standing there staring blankly ahead. Strange planning, and the staff showed no initiative to actively resolve anything. The drinks finally arrived 5 minutes before the end of the bowling 🤣 Next, we went down to eat one floor; the food was okay but nothing special, and here too we had to wait a long time. We can't blame O'Learys for the fact that there was football on, and it is a sports bar after all, but man, the noise level was really abnormally loud; my ears seriously hurt. Even without a match, I wouldn't be quick to return. In the restaurant, we pointed out again that the drinks weren't arriving until 5 minutes before the end, and then the story was suddenly that the system wasn't working properly. Whatever the reason, it's time to get things in order. I'm going bowling and eating at a place that actually gets it 😄

Fun place to bowl, 40 euros per lane per group. Reservations in advance are sometimes necessary, depending on the day and time. The advanced bowler will notice that the lane is not well oiled; an amateur shouldn't notice much of this.

Update: after 2 years, they still don't understand anything about good sound here. First too soft, then way too loud, even during commercials. Upstairs, there is no sound, just echoing from below. How difficult can it be? Oh right, and watch out because the prices aren't right… Is there really no one who knows what is going on on the shop floor? Recently went to watch football, but the 100 attendees apparently had to watch NL-FR without sound! So I just asked if the sound could be turned up, but it turned out to be unintelligible afterwards. After asking again, the volume was fine, but due to the sound quality, it was substandard, certainly for a sports bar! During the break, not a bit of music, but deafeningly loud TV commercials, which were turned down a bit after 10 minutes. However, at the start of the second half, I had to announce again that the sound was (by now) off. Is this really that difficult for a sports bar? Ordered another round of beer in the 50th minute, but had to wait until the 75th minute because the tap was empty. In short, next time I'm going to watch football somewhere else.

Overall, a nice place. The bowling alley looks neat with fun game options. It’s okay that it wasn't completely top-notch for a kids' party; that can happen. They do their best. But the fact that we were out of action for over 15 minutes in the middle of our game and weren't compensated for that with any extra playing time is something I personally find really disappointing. I think the manager eventually came to reset the lane, but didn't even come over to us to apologize for the long wait or anything. That sets the tone a bit, and that is a shame. Otherwise, a nice setup with lots of things to do.

Karaoke - There are ALWAYS technical glitches here. Empty microphones; the program froze today and the queue didn't advance automatically. The staff are doing their best, I guess, but it is not a customer-friendly place. It is a very empty place... You practically never see people there. For the price they charge, I really expect better. We come here because there are no other options.

The quality of the food was good. The portion was normal to small. The staff consisted mainly of young and inexperienced people. This led to strange scenes during the clearing and serving. While I was still eating my starter, the table was cleared and they wanted to take my plate away themselves. That wasn't such a good idea! The pub quiz started during dinner and while we were playing shuffle. Unfortunately, the volume was so loud that we couldn't play a normal game anymore. I have never heard such awful music while bowling later that evening. But that is probably a generation gap. A group of younger people actually thought it was great music!!! Paying the bill was also strange. They wouldn't even have noticed if I hadn't done it. But while I was using my debit card and the transaction was still running, the cashier walked away. After a few minutes, he didn't come back. I didn't receive a receipt. Fortunately, I saw that the transaction had been successful and I just left.

I arrived on time today, and lo and behold… the manager gave me a different table. I showed her my reservation and told her that I had gone to the trouble of making the reservation and coming here. She said very coldly that the table I had reserved generated more revenue because a few more people could sit at it. Great customer service… Money-grubbers… By the way, I also saw two people sitting at a table meant for four. They were probably her friends she put there…

It is clearly noticeable that they have done a lot with previous reviews and feedback, because fortunately, I did not experience the points mentioned earlier myself. Had a fun evening bowling and eating at O’Learys via Social Deal; definitely recommended. Ordering snacks and drinks via the QR code worked easily and quickly. However, it would be nice if extra information regarding allergies, vegetarian options, and whether items are halal were displayed with the snacks. Nowadays, this is the standard in many places, and it makes ordering even easier without guests having to constantly ask about it. The bowling shoes could receive some extra attention after use, for example with a hygiene spray. Hygiene socks could also be offered to guests who prefer them. Additionally, it would be good to walk past the bowling lanes every hour to collect the filled trays with empty glasses and plates and check if the shoes are neatly returned to the correct compartments. Currently, shoes are sometimes scattered, meaning the next group has to search for the right size, whereas normally it is clearly indicated in the shoe cabinet. After bowling, we had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Good burgers and tasty dessert choices. It was also clever how multiple dishes were served simultaneously using large trays. A small addition here: it would be nice if the staff walked past the tables a bit more often or made more eye contact with the guests. The table cleaning is done neatly, but please be mindful that people are still eating. Spraying at people who are eating might be clean, but it doesn't taste very good. Afterwards, the children could do karaoke and the parents still had time to play pool. There are plenty of activities to choose from. There are also large screens where you can watch your favorite sports. The staff was nice and very friendly. Compliments to the kitchen as well. We were with a fairly large group and everything went smoothly right away, without long wait times. The kitchen staff visibly does their utmost to prepare the food as deliciously as possible. They are often behind the scenes and are almost never seen, but they certainly deserve a moment in the spotlight too. We will definitely be back. Until next time!

All in all, a nice place to have fun with friends. A huge complex with many activities to choose from. There was some confusion regarding the package deal we had booked. This had to be reserved manually by calling and visiting the location, as it was not listed in the online reservation system. The staff was inexperienced, as they were young and international students. As a result, multiple simple orders took far too long (both in the restaurant as at the bowling aswell). This was annoying and they need to improve this. Nevertheless, we had a fun evening with tasty food and bowling for only €42 per person. The quality level of everything is alright (food itself was really good). Keep an eye on the special offers, as they can significantly lower the price. If they train the staff better, this place can really be cool with all the things they offer.

I have actually been there twice myself now. The first time, I was sitting with a group of 5-6 people all the way upstairs by the bowling alley, playing cards and having drinks. The staff were very pushy about us having to order, and towards the evening there was a football match going on both upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs, the music and TV were turned up super loud and people were allowed to stay seated, while upstairs we were among the few remaining. Without saying anything, our TVs and music were turned off, the lights were turned on, and the staff looked at us judgmentally. As far as I can remember, we were asked once to wrap up (we were heading in that direction); the restaurant/place was still officially open from 10:00 to 15:00. We were then approached by someone from a management position—probably—just before closing time, and she wasn't very friendly in her demeanor either. She asked somewhat politely if we could almost leave, but the employee and the lady in question were very pushy and looked very grumpy. Meanwhile, downstairs was completely packed with people, with music and TV on, and people were allowed to stay seated there, apparently even though it was closing in just 10 minutes. Last week I was there again, when I went bowling with a friend of mine. If you want to order something at the bar before you go bowling, you have to go get people yourself since they don't come to the bar on their own. Then, when we were able to bowl, we ordered a cheese soufflé, so we had to wait half an hour for it. At that moment, we were the only ones on the bowling lanes on this side of the place. We were told they extended our time by fifteen minutes. But the service is still slow and not very friendly sometimes.

Last Friday afternoon, I went karaoke with three friends for my birthday. We had ordered drinks, and it took a very long time for them to arrive. Eventually, my friend and I went to ask about the drinks, whereupon a staff member told her colleague if she could bring ours upstairs. UPDATE FOLLOWING OWNER'S RESPONSE: It is telling how this company handles complaints. Instead of taking responsibility, they try to shift the blame onto the paying guest. Let's talk about cause and effect for a moment: yes, we became frustrated and we acknowledge that we could have handled it better. But that frustration didn't come out of nowhere. The lanes were already constantly jamming and the equipment was failing well before the situation on the lane escalated. Add to that the fact that the food was severely substandard; the nachos served were truly disgusting and tasted as if they had been sitting there rotting for hours before they were even brought to our table. Our reaction at the end of the evening was the direct result of the accumulation of your broken facilities, poor quality food, and false promises. The fact that you yourselves have to admit in the response that your own staff isn't even aware of your own promotions and prizes speaks volumes about the management. That you subsequently use camera footage to distract attention from your misleading marketing, poor hospitality, and defective lanes is downright weak and unprofessional. The fact that you "don't take seriously" a legitimate complaint about your own shortcomings because you prefer to blame the customer proves exactly why this 1-star review is entirely justified. Potential customers are hereby warned about how O'Leary's treats its guests. For me, it is no longer about the money or a prize, but purely about the principle. You will never see us back here again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Yesterday (April 20), I went to 'Disco Bowling' at O'Leary's Mall of the Netherlands with a group of 4 people. On the website and in the advertisement, they explicitly advertise that the best score of the evening wins a prize. We bowled an excellent score (300+), but when we asked the staff who had won, we received the dry response: "We don't hand out prizes at all, or anything like that." Pure deception, therefore, to lure customers with false promises. Additionally, the bowling itself was a disaster. We couldn't even finish our sessions properly because the pins kept getting tangled and the lane jammed. We had paid for 2 sessions (over €70!), mind you, but due to all the malfunctions and the staff's attitude, the fun was ruined so much that we left early out of frustration. It is a real shame that this is what O'Leary's stands for. They certainly won't be seeing us back here. Absolutely not recommended!

The food remains very good; admittedly, it has been the same menu for 2 years, but the quality and taste are surprisingly good! The service is not great; there is little to no experience, and the staff is very young and often untrained. They very often do not know the answers to questions that should be part of the basics. During the Easter weekend, we reserved an hour of bowling followed by dinner. Bowling lane number 5 was constantly out of order, which turned out to have been the case all day, yet they chose not to mention it. The travel time each way was 45 minutes, and we went there for nothing because everything else was fully booked; just an apology. That is truly very mediocre service.

Today we celebrated our son's birthday party at O’Leary’s in the mall. We were with a group of children and adults. Upon arrival, a table was set for us. The bowling for the kids went very smoothly and they had a great time. We indicated in advance what everyone wanted to eat. There were also some preferences for halal. The chef (Jos) was very helpful with this and thought along with us. Among the adults, a number had ordered sweet potato fries, among other things, and these were deliciously crispy! The food for both the adults and the kids arrived nice and warm at the table and everything tasted very good! Upon arrival, we discovered that the cake was slightly damaged; the chef was very helpful with this as well and helped decorate the cake so that the damage was not visible at all. It was wonderful how everything was taken off our hands and that the staff were very helpful and flexible. We had a successful party thanks to the chef and the staff. Thank you!

We went karaoke with the family for two hours. The first hour was great; however, when the first hour was over, the karaoke machine stopped working and we couldn't continue. We reported this to the staff and they said they would fix it, but that didn't happen. We waited for more than half an hour before we could continue, only to eventually be told that they couldn't get the karaoke machine to turn on again. The only upside was that we did get a refund for the second hour; unfortunately, the waste of our time was not adequately compensated.

What a disgrace!!!!!! You book 2 hours of karaoke, because 1 hour isn't worth the travel time. Nice group, family, haven't seen them in a long time. What a shitty evening. The air conditioning was on Arctic setting. After 1 hour, the machine cut out. When we inquired, it was supposed to be fixed. However, after that, we had to inquire another 6 times and wait 45 minutes only to finally be told that it couldn't be fixed. Luckily, we got the second hour 'for free'. So we were allowed to wait for free, very nicely. Shitty place (the elevator was also broken btw, selectively broken) and no glasses with the drinks. Oh, and we also had to wait half an hour per order after the first round. Great for our hour of waiting.

Something is not right about these reviews. What struck me immediately is that there are almost exclusively two types of ratings: either 1-star reviews with clear complaints and photos, or 5-star reviews that are almost excessively positive and even mention the names of staff members. That comes across as very forced and unnatural. 🤨 It is hard to believe that so many different customers all know the names of the staff and write identically enthusiastic stories. This gives the impression that the reviews are manipulated and do not provide an honest picture of the actual quality of the restaurant. Personally, I did not find my experience particularly special, and certainly not in line with the extremely positive reviews. It is precisely because of this striking contrast that it feels unreliable. Transparency and honest feedback are important, but they seem to be lacking here. Unfortunately, this means I have little confidence in this place.

I like the place itself, I love it. But the food and service are not good. The staff is slow, irritated, and/or inattentive. Admittedly, I didn't see much staff, and perhaps not all of them are assigned to serve tables, but they walk past you as if you don't exist, or they are standing there chatting amongst themselves while having a drink. The food arrived quickly, but that wasn't necessarily a good sign. It looked like it was just thrown onto a plate ready-made, no dressing on the salad, etc. But the service was really the worst. Unfriendly, preoccupied with themselves, and with no regard for the guest. I also stood waiting at the desk for a very long time, and a waiter walked back and forth several times without helping us. ‘I’ll be with you in a moment’ or ‘I’ll send a colleague’ would have sufficed as well...

Ordered at the bar this time, and the soft drinks were ready in no time, but multiple orders were being taken from new customers while we had to wait for our coffee. The coffee was only made once all the new customers had been served. Waited about 10 minutes at the bar and then another 10 minutes because the other cup of coffee had been forgotten. As a result, eight people had already finished their drinks, while two people had only just received theirs. The staff were good and friendly, but it was clearly impossible to manage alone behind the bar. Put more staff on the table because this is annoying for your customers, but it is impossible for your staff either.

Disappointing evening. We had a package that included bowling and dinner. The bowling was fine, and the drinks we ordered arrived fairly quickly. However, the subsequent meal was a much worse experience. Only three tables were occupied, and there were plenty of staff. But apparently, paying attention to the guests was too much to ask for. A drink was spilled, and it took ages before a replacement could be requested. Only after a long delay did someone come back and then repeat the request. The only positive was that this replacement drink was offered. The food was okay, but nothing more. The burger was dry and had a strange taste, and the amount of sauce with the satay was meager, to say the least. When we had finished eating, after a long wait, I finally went to the server myself to indicate that we had long since finished and that desserts could continue. Then it took another long time for the clearing to begin. The apologies offered were truly indifferent. It's a shame to celebrate your birthday like this, as it didn't improve the atmosphere. NB: The sports bar feel we experienced during previous visits was completely absent this time. No sports on the TVs, but mainly advertising for the restaurant itself. We'll skip this establishment for now for our next visit.

A beautiful indoor shopping mall, very busy, but pleasant to shop there. There are plenty of expensive shops. But they're definitely worth a visit because they're exclusive. And among them, there are definitely the shops everyone wants to visit. It's best not to go there on weekends, as it's no fun to stand in long lines to park, despite the large free parking lots.

Great shopping center, up to 250 shops – you'd need a whole day there! Prices aren't really cheap compared to Germany, though. The food is unfortunately very expensive; coffee and cake cost €11. Only the baguette shop is recommended, as the prices there are very reasonable.

For a few people, that's ridiculous. When the manager came to apologize for the quality of the food after we raised the issue, she handled it very professionally.

We had a wonderful evening with a group of 13. We played two hours of bowling and then enjoyed a two-course meal through our social deal. The food was excellent, and the service throughout the evening was smooth and friendly. Any issues with the lanes were resolved quickly. The snacks were also delicious. I do think the prices of the drinks and snacks are ridiculously high! We want our guests to be well-cared for throughout the evening and certainly don't mind a few euros more, but it's okay to overdo it.

€1-10 Terrible service, went there today. Waited 20 minutes for drinks after ordering just drinks. I ordered two beers and received one; the other wasn't available because the keg was empty. After waiting another 10 minutes, I asked where it was. They couldn't replace the keg themselves, so I ended up going downstairs to get a beer from the other bar. The experience was absolutely terrible! Definitely not recommended.

We thought it would be nice to go out for a birthday dinner and bowling. We went in and waited 5 minutes for a table. All the staff were chatting at the bar. Once we got a table, it took 15 minutes for someone to come and take our drink orders. Then we waited another 10 minutes just to get a menu. The food took quite a while to arrive. We ordered nachos and garlic bread as a starter. The nachos were like cardboard; the chips themselves had no flavor. The sauce was okay. The garlic bread was tasty, though. For our main course, we ordered surf and turf and steak. Medium rare and medium well done. All the food arrived cold; no steak was rare; everything was overcooked. We asked for the bill and went to another restaurant. The music was so loud you couldn't even hear yourself think. Most of the staff were chatting at the bar; no one really paid attention to the customers. The bowling was good, but you can't go wrong with that.

At the bowling the service for the drinks were very slow both times we went to get it ourselves . While waiting at the bar till it was time to have dinner it took about half an hour till someone noticed me , but the guy was really friendly en served the drink really quickly . They were not short of staff .Because of the race the sound was really loud . The girl who took our order was really nice and helpful . I saw our food standing ready for some time but only one boy was serving the other ones were too busy with eachother . Unfortunately the kitchen staff failed to read the order correct so we had to sent it back for 1 .

Terrible food and staff. We had a reservation at 6 pm for bowling. We arrived 30 minutes earlier so we had drinks at the restaurant/bar downstairs and the manager helped us. When we started bowling, the staff told us we were forced to buy more drinks or food at the bowling alley because that’s the house rules (we didnt know). We didnt want to buy more drinks because we had just had drinks, thats when a little argument started and they told us we had to leave. We continued playing and they closed the bowling alley after 20 minutes. Terrible experience especially from the manager.

This is terrible. My team had chosen this location for their team outing (November 25th), with dinner at a nearby restaurant. Because I have post-COVID, I didn't participate in the activities, but I did attend the dinner. I arrived early, at 4:45 PM, so I decided to cheer on my colleagues at the bowling alleys. The bowling alleys are on the third floor, and I was given instructions on how to get there via the stairs. So I asked if I could use the elevator inside the store because I have difficulty climbing stairs with post-COVID. They refused, saying the elevator was only for wheelchair users, and I was told that people with visible mobility issues, post-COVID, were completely ignored. Excellent way to treat people with a hidden illness. O'Learys -NOT! This is pure discrimination. A complaint has also been filed with the mall itself.

We dined with a large group at O’Learys in the Mall of the Netherlands last Saturday, and it was a fantastic experience. Despite our small group, everything was handled smoothly and friendly. The food was delicious, and everyone at the table was more than satisfied. There may have been a slight miscommunication at first, but it was resolved fantastically: chef Yos :) surprised us with a delicious dessert, which ended the dinner on a particularly positive note. This gesture was greatly appreciated. In short, a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food – definitely recommended for both small and large groups!

We drove two hours to do some Christmas shopping before heading home, and we wanted a quick bite, which took two hours. The snacks didn't arrive. Then it turned out the order hadn't been placed, and when we finally got the bill after an hour and a half, we had to pay for everything, even with a two-year-old, a one-and-a-half-year-old, and an eight-month-old. And now we still have two hours to go home. It's a shame there was no compensation for the terrible experience. Hopefully, no one will set foot in here again.

Saturday March 1st, celebrated my son's surprise party 🥳🥳🥳 35 years old. It was fantastic. The owner, Mink, is friendly and his service is also top notch!! I can absolutely recommend this. The party room is very nice, cozy, beautifully decorated and festive.
