Oriento in Wijk 01 Noordwijk Aan Zee

I sat at a table for 25 minutes, but no one came. At one point, I asked if I could order something, to which the answer was, "What would you like to order?" I asked for a menu, since I hadn't received one yet. Instead, I was given a menu that only listed the dishes. I motioned to the waiter for a wine list, but he didn't come. So I got up and left. I'd never experienced anything like this before.

That was truly exceptional! A real culinary masterpiece. The portions themselves weren't large, but rather small explosions of flavor. Together with the equally delicious side dishes, it was a complete and satisfying experience. But it wasn't meant to fill you up; it was meant to be savored. And the price reflected that.

€250 for 4 people and not even half full. You can't send people home like that.

Food tasted good, but for a 4 course meal of €50 pp it was way too little. Price/quantity ratio is not right. And besides, the serving time was very long.

We wanted to eat lunch. Unfortunately, the menu didn't include the dishes shown outside; instead, there was only a special lunch menu. We weren't informed of this and only noticed it after we'd already ordered drinks. The lunch menu offered virtually no vegetarian or Asian dishes. The other options were rather strange, like karaage with bread rolls?! For tea, this rather expensive Asian restaurant offered a small selection of cheap English teas. There was no green tea (only mint-flavored) and no jasmine tea. We were able to order both without any fuss, and even though we didn't receive them, we still had to pay for them and left without eating. NEVER AGAIN!

We complained about dirty glasses three times. Service is quite slow. The portions are a joke, and the price is outrageous. We were handed a Dutch menu, even though an English menu was available. The menu featured a surprise menu. You wouldn't have known what you'd get if you ordered it. Even though the taste of nothing was delicious, we can't recommend the restaurant.

Recommended, take the chefs suggestions.

First of all I would like to say that it's not the staff nor the location that I give 2 stars, but the food and the pricing. The food is way to simple and super over priced! The noodles where soft like baby food and the rice to oily. I understand it's shared dining but that's impossible if you have to pay this much per dish. If it costs a fortune the fun is gone... Staff was amazing.

Slow and inattentive staff. Long waits (an hour) between courses, which then consisted of tiny portions. The bill included items we hadn't ordered, but this was promptly corrected, but then there was another long wait because the waiter had forgotten about it! The food itself was good.

Super super crazy SLOW service, they were understaffed. But super friendly. Took 25 mins for someone to take our drink orders. Seafood and vegetarian food was delicious- wine selection is good. The steak was cold and very fatty. Do not recommend.

Heerlijk gegeten. Ging helaas een paar keer mis met serveren van drankjes

La comida del media día es un buffet aceptable. No es demasiado variado sobre todo en la comida caliente. El servicio es atento.

Beetje orientloos. Het was niet slecht waar we hadden meer oosters verwacht. Paling rolletje is dan niet direct waar je aan denkt. Iets te veel westers en zeer westerse prijzen voor de wijn. Bediening zeer accuraat daarom 4*

Oriëntaals dineetje Gerechten op de kaart zie menu. Beloven wat. Vriendelijke bediening maar gereserveerd. Gerechten benaderen de smaak die het zou moeten zijn. Rendang uitgeserveerd met kom witte rijst en Indische groenten potje. Het vlees is iets te groot gesneden maar de smaak is in orde. Totaal niet verfijnd zoals bij de Indische zaken. Maar niet verkeerd om in deze zaak behorend bij Hotels van Oranje te dineren.

Essen sehr lecker. Guten Rotwein aus Weißwein Gläsern getrunken... Service unorganisiert, teilweise Ignorant.

Die Bedienung war leider sehr verschlafen. Zwischen dem1. und 2.Gang warteten wir über eine Stunde, obwohl wenig Betrieb war. Der wässrige Aperol für 12, 50 € war deutlich überteuert. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Zo een aardig personeel. Wij hadden een arrangement vanuit azzuro voor een hightea we zouden eigenlijk bin 't elfde gebod zitten maar werden doorverwezen naar oriento. Super goed en leuk geholpen door Joshua. Voor herhaling vatbaar. Was echt super lekker en we kregen heel veel.

I give 5 stars - as the quality for the Asian food was great. If I would be correct it could be less stars - because of service. They are very friendly- if they are coming. And that's my point. Not always having a view on what guests require. But overall all good

Idée sympa de proposer le menu surprise où on n ne sait pas ce qu’on va manger tout en pouvant dire ce que l’on aime pas. On a décidé de choisir ça et c’était une entrée de crabe et comme plat du poulet curry thaï. Le vin rouge merlot était très bon et les plats aussi mais le service a été très très lent.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön , das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend , das Essen sehr lecker , auch wenn die Portionen übersichtlich sind , dafür dann sehr teuer. Daher vergebe ich nur 4⭐

Zeer vriendelijke en correcte bediening in een leuk interieur. Helaas was onze culinaire reis een maat voor niets, zeer magere porties en niet lekker. Veel te duur voor wat het is, ook de wijn van 35 euro de fles is absoluut zijn geld niet waard. Erg teleurgesteld, ik snap al die goede reviews niet.

On our first evening we had dinner in restaurant Oriento (this used to be 'De Orangerie'). Oriento is asian inspired cuisine. The restaurant is open since April. We opted for the Travelling Dutchman four courses menu. Wine and food were perfect as was the service. This was really an almost perfect experience if it were not that the time in between courses was too long. Service did compensate quite a lot as they really took care of every single detail. I really enjoyed our meal here on our first night and can recommend the restaurant and this menu.
