Unfortunately a bad experience. Rotten salad. Rotten mint tea. Basic stuff yet pretty expensive. Order via app. No interest from walters, "everything ok?" Service was quite quick.

Various eateries near the beach. Had an ice cream a few times. Nice playground for the children. Also rented an electric wheelchair for the beach once, which was really nice.

Terrible place! Staff far from professional. We were 4 adults and 3 children; 4 of us had received our food. They were almost finished when the others finally got theirs. The extra fries ordered with the steak arrived after the steak was already finished. Not even an apology. We had to walk to the bar to ask where it was. It turned out they had lost our dishes… we asked for an allergen list. They didn't have one. We have someone with a milk and soy allergy. Asked if the fish fillet was fried in batter… no, said the waitress, it is fried in breadcrumbs. Everything came from the deep fryer; how can you lose the dishes then? Staff also brought the wrong order twice.

Looks Nice! But the Service takes for ever

During a coffee break with the cycling group, we had to pay 11 euros (!) per person for coffee and apple pie for the first time…. For us, the first and last time at Strandplaats.

A croquette sandwich served with only 2 lettuce leaves and a teaspoon of piccalilly mayonnaise, a beef tenderloin sandwich with meager filling and nothing else served with it, self-scanning because wait staff doesn't come (not even to clean up the mess left by the previous customer, by the way), and meager drinks as well. We won't be coming back...

Sadly for us, NEVER again at Nederzandt. This beach bar has gone downhill fast. You have to order yourself with a QR code. The table didn't have a visible table number. You have to ask for it yourself, even though the waitstaff isn't anywhere near. If other people at the tables were bothered by this, I find that incomprehensible. Finally, we ordered two coffees and two pastries using the QR code. The coffee arrived, but the pastries took a long time to arrive. We asked three times, including walking up to ask for them. The staff, who were very young and inexperienced, only brought one. We reported back and waited again for the second... All in all, we were more bothered by the way things were going there and didn't get to enjoy a pleasant moment of sitting. It wasn't worth €22 either. It's a shame to see how this beach bar has become.

What a disgrace... I have no idea what happened here, but we used to love coming here. But now, exorbitant prices for tasteless food and bleakly presented plates. No one checks if everything is to your liking, extra drinks, nothing. The QR code concept during dinner is also a real failure. Too bad, this was our last time.

Yesterday, my wife and I dined at your place. Apart from the cappuccino, the quality of the food was very mediocre. The chicken did not smell fresh and lacked flavor. The spareribs were almost charred black and not marinated appetizingly. The waitress who served us was friendly, by the way. P.S. I tried to call you. Since no one is answering, I'll leave this review after all. Dear people, I see the other reviews now as well. What a shame, because indeed, things used to be much better at Nederzandt. The QR code concept, less personalized choice, and relatively high prices are also a step backward.

Way too expensive, even though you have to order via a QR code. That is supposed to save on staff costs. We paid well over 40 euros for two people, a slice of bread and a bottle of drink each. The tip is clearly already included in the price; you won't see me back here.

This place has gone downhill (I'm talking about the upstairs terrace). Years ago, it was a cozy, atmospheric place. Now, the prices are high for what you get. A children's menu with fries and 5 chicken nuggets costs €12.50, and a sandwich costs an average of €17. I'm well aware of restaurant prices, but I've had better and more delicious food for the same price elsewhere.

Last Sunday, we had dinner with a group of 14, with a reservation, and the weather was beautiful. The food was delicious, but the service was far from perfect. The QR code system wasn't very customer-friendly, and the waitresses had no idea what it meant to be friendly. The platter was served shouting across the table, even though there was plenty of room around the table to walk out, and even a smile was absent. Perhaps a hospitality course would be in order?

What a terrible place! It's absolutely terrible in every way. Plenty of seats, but it's hard to get a table (and you're not allowed to eat anything), glasses of beer that aren't even filled to the brim, no explanation given about scanning the QR code. You only get one drink out of two because there are no glasses left, drinks are thrown on the table without anyone asking who they're for while we're sitting at the table with several (unknown) people. And I could go on and on. And then you dare to charge such absurdly high prices. If you treat your guests like this, you're not going to make it. Definitely not recommended. Keep cycling to Zandvoort.

Had a lovely walk, then 'just a quick' drink before heading home. Due to a staff shortage, you have to order via a QR code. When we were there, it was quite quiet. Many staff members were standing around chatting in groups, but they didn't come over. Our order hadn't gone through via the QR code, so we had to wait quite a long time for this to be resolved, even though we had already paid. Once you finally manage to get in touch with staff, there is absolutely no service. A shame, because it is a cool place! We skipped dinner; we thought the prices were ridiculous.

Absolute disaster! Virtually no service. I went to the front several times to find out that the online order wasn't working because not all common payment methods like PayPal and Apple Pay were available. Absolute ignorance from several service staff. On top of that, the table wasn't clean despite a reservation. There was no toilet paper in the restrooms. You could have saved yourself some money and time.

Dirty tables, no service. You're ignored, even though we asked for help three times. Absolutely outrageous! I wouldn't recommend anyone go here.

We had reserved a table for seven people. The staff didn't acknowledge us. We went to the counter three times to call for our attention, but no one took our order. After a 60-minute "wait" without any attention, we left the restaurant. This restaurant should be avoided. We will definitely not visit this place again.

We always enjoy coming here, and this time the food was delicious again. The quality of the dishes is, as always, excellent. Due to staff shortages, some choices were made that we understand, but it did feel a little less personal and cozy than we're used to. It's a shame, because that warm atmosphere is precisely what makes this restaurant so special. Nevertheless, we remain fans and will definitely return, because the foundation is and remains excellent. It's a lovely location, children love to play there, and it's especially pleasant on a summer afternoon. Hopefully, there will soon be room again for that personal touch for which this restaurant is so renowned.

This could be a nice place (and it was a few years ago). But please read all the negative reviews of this place (and its other name: Vrijstaat Nederzandt). Positive reviews often seem to refer to the beach (and not this place) or one of the restaurants next door. The prices were already high and went up again last month, while there's no service and ordering is done with QR codes. It's completely out of proportion. I saw people walk out today because they weren't helped. It was relatively quiet today, on a beautiful Saturday. And I understand that...

Nice place to sit outside with a large playground for the kids. The only thing that is a pity is that they are already open at 9am but that you can only order food from 11am. Before that only a choice of 2 pastries (apple pie and cheesecake) that are not worth the price... Last time we had a delicious lunch so it is worth the 4 stars.

Having to order online yourself while sitting inside is not a pleasant experience. I come to have a nice lunch with friends, not to order on a phone while staff is walking around. Only 1 vegan option, the poke bowl. Was OK but not special. No oat or soy milk so no cappuccino for those allergic to milk. It's 2025! I will definitely not recommend others to come here.

We always liked coming here. With the emphasis on came because that is over after today. The restaurant now works with ordering via QR code and the waiter in question refused to provide us with a physical menu. So we ordered 2 coffees from him and nothing more. Not providing a choice for people to be able to look at a physical menu is very customer unfriendly in our opinion and feeling. In this way you are forced to always have a mobile phone with you, and the inconvenience of fiddling around on a small screen. It is customer unfriendly, impersonal and irritating. My parents who are over 80 are also not able to order something in this way. So the end of our visits to this place. Very unfortunate and customer unfriendly that the owner chooses not to give the customer the choice to do it digitally or to see a physical menu. It was simply stated that there were no more menus. Really complete nonsense. And then hiding behind a comment that it is more environmentally friendly. Those cards were already there, so you can just keep them for customers who need them. The staff was friendly and full of smiles—but also full of forgetfulness, as part of our order never made it to the table. The food? Let’s say it looked better in the photos. Portions were small, prices were big, and flavors were somewhere in between. The kitchen must run on dial-up, because we waited over an hour… and still didn’t get everything we ordered. If you’re planning to visit based on the mouth-watering pictures online, lower your expectations—or bring a snack.

Man, man, things have deteriorated here. If you want to order something, you have to scan a QR code, then scroll on a small screen. If you want to order you have to pay first... Then just hope that it arrives within a reasonable time, is hot and tastes good. We didn't get that far, I certainly don't like scanning a menu QR code, then it was shockingly expensive and the real clincher, you can't pay with cash... so I got up and was here for the last time.

Leuke tent op zich maar geen fysieke kaart, alleen een onwenselijke qr code en honden in 1 gedeelte niet welkom. Jammer, anders waren we er nog een keer gekomen. Vooral de qr code is een no go.

Het was helaas niet een paasbrunch dat we hier van verwacht hadden! Het buffet werd slecht tot niet bijgevuld. Het personeel had ons verkeerd ingelicht en de bedrijfsleider was onaardig tegen het personeel. Hij kwam heel erg gestrest over. Ook had ik aangegeven dat de zeep op was bij de toilet en na 1,5 uur werd deze pas bijgevuld. Wij zijn erg teleurgesteld en komen hier zeker niet meer terug! Echt GEEN aanrader dus.

Unfortunately, it was not the Easter brunch we expected! The buffet was poorly replenished or not replenished at all. The staff had misinformed us and the manager was rude to the staff. He seemed very stressed. I also indicated that the toilet had run out of soap and it was only refilled after 1.5 hours. We are very disappointed and will certainly not return here! Really NOT recommended.

Paasbrunch was geen paasbrunch, niets feestelijks. Prijs kwaliteit slecht. Bediening niet professioneel. Afgesnauwd worden door de bedrijfsleider. Echt ga hier niet naar toe!!

Widerlich! Toilette dreckig, Tisch dreckig, Hemd vom Kellner auch dreckig. Kellners Hose dreckig. Tisch nicht abgewischt Ameisenrennen auf dem Tisch. Erdbeersaft schmeckt wie aus den 80ern, nämlich so abgestanden. Bier wurde ganz vergessen. Koreanisches Hähnchen unbekömmlich. Pommes blieben drin.

Eten, niet geweldig en veel te duur. €9.50 voor een schaaltje standaard kaasstengels is daar een voorbeeld van. Een foutje met de online bestelling werd breed uitgemeten aan tafel, zonder meteen een oplossing te bieden werd gekozen voor de welles nietes benadering. Sfeer vepest en totaal niet klantvriendelijk. Werd uiteindelijk geregeld maar liet een nare bijsmaak achter. Zoiets hoort meteen zonder discussie te worden opgelost. Laatste keer geweest.

The system with the QR code is ideal for an outdoor terrace, but it really misses the mark for inside the restaurant. You have to pay for every round and I find that a bit strange and I find it impersonal and you don't get a good explanation on how to use it properly. The waitress admitted this too. We were with a table of 8 people and everyone scanned the code, but when 1 person took the group's order you saw that far too many orders had been placed because everyone was looking for what they wanted. You're just scrolling. Normally a waiter comes to you and takes the starter and main course, so we also ordered our food on the site, only now they brought everything to the table at once, i.e. starter and main course. We sent the main course back. There was also a starter course, mixed starter that 3 people had ordered, so you would say you also get this dish 3 times for each person, but this was given on 1 plate and that was a meager affair and there are 4 sushi pieces for 3 people. We had said something about that, but this was the menu. Only one table behind us had ordered the same thing for her alone and she received the same plate. So who was wrong now? It would be solved with a supplement, but after coffee this still had not happened. Then there was a major miscommunication in a make-up with dessert, but we'll leave that for what it is. Do what you want with it.

14 februari hier gegeten. We hebben hier onze eerste date gehad 8jr geleden waar we toen heerlijk gegeten hebben. Nu als verassing terug maar de kaart is dusdanig veranderd dat simpele gerechten er niet op staan. Uiteindelijk toch maar iets besteld wat ik vrij smaakloos vond en erg droog stukje vlees voor de prijs. en ergggg duur. Een cheesecake bv voor 14euro🙃. We besloten er 1 te delen omdat deze zo absurd duur was. Gelukkig was ie op. En zijn we lekker naar huis gegaan voor een bakkie koffie. Nooit weer voor ons helaas. Want voor 2 hoofdgerechten, extra bakje patat die je gewoon moest betalen a 6 euro. En paar drankjes 4 in totaal 90 euro kwijt. Doe je geeneens gek

Zonder verdere reden werden we niet geholpen, zeer onvriendelijke gastheer. Had er duidelijk geen zin in. Zeer vijandig en zeker niet klantvriendelijk.

Geluncht met 9 personen. Waren veel geld kwijt en eten ondermaats. XL patat is klein portie. Glaswerk zwaar beschadigd en bestek krom. Personeel super aardig!!! Jammer want we hadden hoge verwachtingen van Vrijplaats Nederzandt.

Gisteravond hebben we genoten van de NEDERZANDT EXPERIENCE. Dit wordt aangeduid als “Een culinaire wereldreis aan zee”. We hebben voortreffelijk gegeten. Vier gangen diner met super mooie gerechten en verrassende smaakcombinaties.

Wir waren eher zufällig dort und hatten die beste heiße Schokolade mit Schlagsahne ever. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Schaumparty im Aussenbereich war mega. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tweede kerstdag met 15 personen waarvan drie kinderen bij nederzandt gegeten. Gezellige sfeer, tafel prachtig gedekt. Het eten was voortreffelijk en genoeg. We eindigde met taart en ijs heerlijk. Het was voldoende voor iedereen. Veel personeel die erg hard en netjes werkte

Ambiente 5. Punkte, Essen 4 Punkte, Service 0 Punkte. Waren an 14.12.24 Abends dort. Toll eingerichtet, gutes Essen! Den beiden sehr jungen Bedienungen ( Aushilfskräfte ??) sah man an, dass sie Samstags keinen Bock hatten, zu arbeiten. Keinerlei Freundlichkeit! Es wurde nach dem Essen weder gefragt, ob es geschmeckt habe, noch bedankte sich der Junge Mann für das sehr gute Trinkgeld ( mache ich immer ). Beim Verlassen des Lokals nicht mal ein “DAG oder Doei”. Das tolle an Holland ist, dass in der Gastronomie die Bedienungen wesentlich freundlicher sind, als in Deutschland !!! Das war hier leider absolut nicht der Fall. Von der angepriesenen Hundefreundlichkeit haben wir auch nichts gemerkt (,2 Hack Russel Hunde).

Large beach tent, many different spaces/atmospheres. Service was friendly, but not very efficient. But the only reason I'm writing this review are the vegetarian wraps (not made up myself). The menu description does say mini wraps, but, 2 tiny little wraps with three cubes of mango, 5 mini veggie balls, some elbows of celery on a minimal layer of "-" sauce (?) for €15.50! Then you have courage. This is a €5 children's menu;

scam! Ik bestel online zoals aangegeven door een QR-code op de tafel. Ik betaal zelfs met mijn bankapp. Maar dan krijg ik een foutmelding dat "er iets mis is gegaan". Vervolgens plaats ik dezelfde bestelling bij een ober en betaal deze aan de balie als ik wegga. Nare verrassing een paar uur later: mijn eerste online bestelling werd van mijn bankrekening afgeschreven... dus ik betaalde twee keer voor de drankjes

Bediening was prima, maar het eten was troosteloos. Caesar salade met bruine- sla en bevroren kip slaat de plank compleet mis. Ondanks dat de kip, na mijn opmerking hierover, in de keuken ontdooid werd en de bediening prima was, vond ik toch nog een bevroren stuk kip, en dat voor €19,50. Voor mij de laatste keer geweest.

Na een lange tijd hier niet meer gegeten te hebben, hadden we een zeer teleurstellende ervaring. Het eten was ronduit slecht van kwaliteit en ook erg weinig. De vriendelijke bediening probeerde het goed te maken met een gratis drankje. Dat bleek uiteindelijk een schrale troost na beiden slecht geslapen te hebben door buikpijn.

Langzaam, onhandig en eten was zeer slecht. Zo slecht dat we nu boven de pot hangen. Keer op keer laat ik me verleiden omdat de lactatie leuk is…. Wederom teleur gesteld . Beste Nederzandt , gooi de deuren dicht totdat je de boel op order hebt. ( zie andere recensies) Stel je niet zo kansloos op! Ik probeer het over 3 jaar wel weer een keer.

After a walk on the beach with our dog we wanted to have a bite to eat. The choice was a snack tent or Nederzandt, the only restaurant on the beach. it became the last. The prices were high, because it was the only 'real' restaurant. Nachos beforehand were tasty, but we had to ask where it was after 25 minutes. When that wasn't finished yet, we got the lukewarm main course. Not very tasty either. In the meantime, tables were moved and lifted over our heads. A corn cob had been laid on its burnt side and the watery mash was tasteless. When I indicated that we had not yet finished the nachos, they did not respond, but asked who had which dish. An additional drink ordered was never delivered. When, after asking if I had liked it, I indicated that we did not really like the food, there was again no response. We don't come here anymore.

Really bad service. You still have a lot to learn.

1 star is still too many today 8/28/2024 visited this ball tent!!!! After using the QR code we had to wait 40 minutes for our food and drinks! Absurd! Then asked for the manager who just had a little child way of talking and arrogant! Even my 5 year old child has better manners than this manager. Great service. Top class sushi. Teriyaki chicken is amazing. If we're in the area, we'll definitely stop by again.

Been here many times over several years, the service is extremely slow. Even on quiet days, when you tell your story you get the same excuse; "it is busy". However, if your snacks have not been cooling on the counter, you can still enjoy them.

Tonight (April 5) a reunion was held at Nederzandt with 25 people. A separate room was set aside for us. We had drinks for an hour and a half and then enjoyed a well-organized buffet. During the drinks we were served delicious sushi snacks. The buffet was excellent. and the service more than excellent. A very successful evening for us. Highly recommended for a good and fun party. on behalf of the party committee of the Former members of the Kennemer Gliding Club.

Order via the QR code because we did not receive a menu. Had to wait another half hour for the order and it was incomplete and cold. In the meantime, no dinner order was taken at the table, even though there were constant waiters walking past the table. We asked if we could order this but were simply ignored. We just left and asked for money back for the missing order. We got this back but no apologies or anything. Too bad, but we won't go there anymore.

De Beren A restaurant in the middle of the city of Rotterdam. The street is parallel to the Lijnbahn. There are enough parking garages nearby. The restaurant is very modern but comfortably furnished. It has a good flair. The staff and service is great. The food is very, very tasty. Price-performance ratio is a bit higher. The drinks and cocktails are also very good. De sushi is echt lekker, het experience menu ook, maar voor een echte Japan experience mag er nog wel een stapje bij. Dan ontbreekt het echt aan de hoog-kwalitatieve aandacht voor het geheel. De misosoep was bij mijn tafelgenoot goed gevuld met zeewier en tofu, waar er bij mij 1 flinter in dreef. Kwestie van even met de lepel door de pan, voordat je opschept. De tijd tussen de gerechten leek meer afgestemd op de 3 verschillende tafels die met dezelfde experience bediend werden, dan op de gasten. Kortom, het eten was goed, voor de experience raad ik het personeel aan een werkreis Japan te plannen, en met die ervaring te gaan werken.

Leuke plek, relaxt. Ook veel gezinnen met kinderen.

Een geweldige plek die het hele jaar (ook op maandag) open is.

Fantastisch gegeten bij Nederzandt. De Sushi experience is echt een aanrader! Voor grote eters kan het handig zijn om 5 gangen te nemen. Per gerecht een leuke kaart ontvangen met interessante en vermakelijke info. Personeel was top, manager kwam helpen met de interactieve origami en de chef kwam gerechten toelichten. Een hele geslaagde avond met overheerlijke sushi. Alles vers bereid. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Gezelligondanks de regen en heerlijk gegeten

Doordat qr code voor bestellen het niet deed. Duurde het vrij lang voor we ons drinken kregen. We hebben er koffie gedronken en geluncht met thee toe. Is altijd erg gezellige en relaxte plek.

Toffe locatie dicht bij het strand, leuke sfeer. Wij bestelden hier 2 gemberthee met sinaasappel en 1 portie bitterballen… de thee werd gebracht zonder sinaasappel, die bleek op, en met citroen als alternatief waren we ook tevreden… toen we na 30 minuten nog geen bitterballen kregen vroegen we of ze het vergeten waren… daarbij werd via een porto direct gesproken met de keuken en bevestigd dat ze onderweg waren… daarom nog 2 thee besteld… toen de bitterballen er na 20 minuten nog steeds niet waren hebben we de bediening hier nogmaals op aangesproken… na nog 10 minuten waren we er helemaal klaar mee en zijn gegaan… uiteraard zonder te betalen voor de bitterballen…. het terras was slechts half bezet en er liep genoeg bedienend personeel rond, dus daar lag het niet aan… dit alles getuigt van een buitengewoon laag serviceniveau en grote mate van laksheid… we voelden ons beslist geen gast hier… (hebben ons ook oprecht afgevraagd af hoe dramatisch het hier moet lopen als het terras vol zit……) bovendien werd er financieel niks gedaan om deze tekortkoming te compenseren. Zonde! We hopen dat de eigenaar zelf wel een prettig verjaardagsfeestje heeft gehad… hij kan zich beter op z’n tent richten en dat in goede banen leiden… maar kennelijk kan men zich dit allemaal permitteren. De zaak heeft veel potentie mits goed gemanaged en met goed personeel in de keuken.

Schönes Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen und eine nette Bedienung. Preise sind auch vernünftig.

Chilliger Ort um einen Kaffee zu trinken während sich die Kids auf dem Spielplatz austoben.

Het is ongelofelijk maar ik heb hier de lekkerste en beste Sushi op de planeet gevonden en gegeten. We hebben elk Sushi gerecht van de kaart genomen en dit was werkelijk een smaaksensatie die ik nog niet eerder ben tegengekomen, elk gerecht werd perfect en vers gemaakte opgediend en toegelicht. De Sushichef komt de laatste gerechten hoogst persoonlijk langs brengen en onze ervaring toetsen. Wij hebben hem bedankt voor deze zeer bijzondere culinaire beleving. Het personeel was ook zeer vriendelijke en schonk onze wijn glazen steeds bij uit de flessen wijn die we erbij hadden besteld. Deze keer uit eten op deze uniek Lokatie aan zee, zal me nog lang heugen en op zeker vaker doen terugkeren. Ik kan dit restaurant iedereen aanbevelen. Top! restaurant en iedereen nogmaals bedankt.

Lekker ff over het strand lopen en dan ff lekker een bakkie doen of heerlijk eten met leuke en vlotte bediening en een open keuken

Heerlijk sushi gegeten buiten op het terras. Goeie bediening, uitzicht geweldig bij de Duinen. Mooie locatie.

Vriendelijk personeel en leuke plek om te zitten en ruimtes/zalen te huren.

Goed bereikbaar restaurant, leuke strandsfeer en gezellig terras. Kaart niet te uitgebreid maar goede opties. Relaxte bediening en iets langere wachttijd. Enig nadeel, terrasstoelen echt niet comfortabel

With kids Real good place because there is the most beautiful playground on sand close to a beach. The restaurant looks nice as well the service is quite good. But we were very disappointed about the food. Children menu much to expensive and quality of food max 3 stars. We are willing to pay more for good location and so on, but 19,50 for a salad with tiger prawn, wich consist with exactly 1 prawn (small, cold and not intact) isn't worth the money. All together we would come again for coffee and maybe drinks, but not again for lunch. 4 pax, 80 eur for not such a special lunch is very hard

Das Essen war gut ohne etwas besonderes zu sein, Service war gut, obwohl nicht wenig los war. Die Stühle könnten bequemer sein, aber es gibt auch Ecken mit Sofas, vielleicht sind die ja besser. Die Preise sind recht hoch, aber insgesamt war alles gut

Even op de fiets geweest en genoten van het strand en de zee. Dit onder het genot van een softijs.

Weinig flexibiliteit in oplossen verkeerd uitgevoerde reservering. Lange wachttijden en ook weinig flexibiliteit in aanpassen persoonlijke wensen aangaande de menukaart
