We had a Soup and a Cheeseburger. Both was really good and also the Service- Tristen - was really friendly. Also the Atmosphere was really nice. We felt really happy and we will visit Steam again - for sure :-)

Very nice restaurant in cozy rustic design

Today I had a delicious meal with the family at Steam Noordwijk. We'd been to Scheveningen before, but this place also deserves 5 stars! Definitely recommended!!

The lady steak was tough as leather. The chicken salad was from a supermarket. In short: a tourist shack.

I had found some nice dishes on the menu. However, after ordering drinks and receiving them, we were simply ignored and couldn't even order a meal after asking. We've never experienced such a situation where guests who wanted food were ignored. Other guests were served. Strange. No stars for the food. We didn't have a chance to test it.

Half the plate of leaves was returned...almost 15 euros for the salad Main course is still to come So the bill will be higher, but I've never actually experienced salad like this before.

We had dinner here on our wedding anniversary. We've known the restaurant for three years and have generally been satisfied, but this time we were very disappointed in every respect. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks, even though the entire restaurant only had five tables occupied. The starter soup arrived cold after 20 minutes. We had to ask for our main courses again after 40 minutes...had they simply forgotten about us? The rib-eye and salmon were okay, the vegetables were cold again, and the portions of fries were probably for three-year-olds. Throughout our entire visit, half the restaurant was filled with the smell of burnt smoke coming from the kitchen. The manager, who took our order and also paid us, was very rude and didn't address our complaints at all. When I repeatedly pointed out that the soup and vegetables had been served cold and the wait was almost an hour, she simply said that the chef was apparently not fully focused in the kitchen. She suddenly avoided further discussion by acting as if she no longer understood German. There was no apology, and she charged full price for all drinks and food, including the cold soups and cold vegetables. We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

0 stars. We arrived for dinner at 8:15 PM on Friday evening and were told the kitchen was already closed. The chickens were still on the spit. This was the second time this year. Ridiculous! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I sat here with a few friends and we had a delicious meal. The service was fantastic! We were served by Devi, and we felt truly pampered. We'll definitely be back; highly recommended!

The interior is very stylishly decorated. We dined on the terrace on the boulevard. It took a while before we were served. Half a grilled chicken with mango and a 200g steak, both delicious and plentiful.

Got grilled chicken to go. The chicken was good, but one chicken for 40 euros is quite pricey, if I say so myself.

It's terrible here; they don't have anything you ask for. First, we ordered iced coffee and they didn't have it. The fries were lukewarm, and they had put out the wrong fries. Then they didn't have the sauce we ordered; they were out of it. It also said the fries were 6.50, but we were charged 7.50, and according to them, it was the wrong one on the menu. Never eat here again.

First, we wanted an iced coffee, but they didn't have it. Then we ordered fries with curry and truffle fries. The curry was gone, and the fries were lukewarm and soft. My fries were then €6.50 on the menu. When we got the receipt for my regular fries, they charged €7.50, so I asked and mentioned it, and was told, "It's wrong on the menu..." Never again!

Everything could have been soo much better. Food is good. But some old pictures really show the changes made in the recent years and they are not for the better. Prices are much much higher than few years back but portions also got smaller. No possibility for a whole chicken on the menu but the price for half of one is now the same as a whole. Pretty shameful if you know the price for a chicken. Decor seems a bit outdated and it seems that u surprisingly there was much sand in the place but not in places where you are expecting it. Also some old food was on the floor. Unfortunately have no pictures of the food itself because presentation was actually pretty decent. As for a Dutch place where sauce is a big thing usually they really skim down on that as well unfortunately. I myself personally don't see me coming back here for more. Once was enough.

Ate here several times last week. Just went on August 18, 2025, and we left because the waitress was terrible. We waited patiently for a table, and she gave tables to other people who came after us. We could sit outside, which wasn't a problem for us. But when we told her we were definitely earlier and she should look into it in the future, she got very rude and told us to go somewhere else. Such a shame about the staff!

This was the warst service I ever received. I was not allowed to food, only drinks. After the drinks arrived the waiter ran away without letting me order. We were then ignored by the staff. Ultimately my wife and I didn't even bother to start drinks and just left after paying. Zero stars

The rib-eye steak was very good. Perfectly cooked, with an attractive presentation on a wooden plate. The "Tramontina" steak knives were also very good. These are excellent steak knives that have made their way from Brazil to Nordwijk. The service was very friendly, competent, and fast. Our order was processed very quickly. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, where we were warmly welcomed with our dogs. The server was truly lovely and attentive, and even made the effort to speak French—a gesture we greatly appreciated. The food was generous and tasty, made with quality ingredients. A place where you feel at home, both for humans and dogs! We'll be happy to return.

Nice decor and friendly staff. The food was good overall: homemade calamari but completely cold, and the Caesar salad first forgot the bacon, then forgot the croutons and Parmesan cheese.

We came for a nice dinner. We went for a three-course meal. Unfortunately, the caprese tomato still had the core in the slices. That's no problem; I can cut around that. However, the last slice had mold. The waiter apologized and said he'd be back soon. His colleague came over to explain what a tomato looks like. As if I couldn't tell the difference between a crown and mold. I was deeply indignant that I was treated like an incompetent person. I wish the aforementioned, apologetic waiter all the best and I hope he finds a good job at another company soon. I wouldn't want to work with these colleagues.

went today for lunch, ordered 2 tuna sandwiches and an omelette and asked if it was possible to fry them on both sides and that was possible but then that was not the case. No problem, asked if the egg could be fried on the other side, then a long time later when our tuna sandwiches were almost finished the egg was still not there whereupon my grandpa walks to the person serving and asks NEATLY if the egg is ready yet, this person (dark skin, long loose hair with a clip in the service) then comes to bring the egg and says to my grandpa 'can you not come to me shouting from now on to ask where your egg is etc.' ?! We are shocked by this, my grandpa did not even raise his voice a little but calmly asked if the egg was ready yet because we would like to have lunch with the three of us? This person was anything but nice/neat and ruined the entire experience! Never again!

We went to Steam for dinner on a quiet Thursday evening and had a fantastic meal! The truffle chicken burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and my husband absolutely loved the rotisserie chicken. There was a lovely atmosphere and the service was good. I’m really quite surprised by its low rating as the food was fantastic!

Food was OK, music was obnoxiously loud and kind of ruined the atmosphere. The lady that waited on our table, I believe her name is Nour, seemed to be very unmotivated and had quite the attitude. As soon as we arrived she gave us the impression that we were unwelcome and unwillingly showed us where we can seat ourselves. Took ages to take our order and even longer to bring the bill (10 minutes!). Burger was cold but the rest was not bad.

We had reserved with 3 for a cozy evening and good food. We sat in the front corner by the window. The live band was really so loud that you could barely hear each other. We sat for 1.5 hours in total and we were only able to get 1 drink. For the second drink; The so-called extensive wine list was not yet available, the bubble options from the normal drinks menu oh no they didn't have those either. And with a QR code you could already look at bottles of wine that you can order for home. Not very smart since those bottles of wine are x3 € on your drinks menu. We had asked if we could at least taste the prosecco without a name on the drinks menu before we would order a bottle. That glass came quickly but after another 20 minutes no one was seen at the table we decided to pay for those three drinks and try elsewhere. Our receipt was also lost in the kitchen so we had not yet received a starter. Not that anyone had even noticed until we ourselves wanted to leave after sitting for 1.5 hours with nothing. So unfortunately I can't say anything about the quality of the food. We just left to try somewhere else because at 20:30 we were quite hungry by now. Very unfortunate but not worth repeating.

Nice sandwich of ham, cheese and bacon for just over a tenner. You have to eat it there, you can't do that at home.

In the evening the two of us ordered a table at Steam with a reservation. We ate the salmon and the stoofvlees. The salmon was tasty, the stoofvlees was a bit greasy and was made with wine and not beer. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed that evening, the starter came together with the main course, and unfortunately the food and drinks took a very long time. We sat in the front room, where it was drafty from the door on one side and very (and a little too) warm on the other side with the gas heaters on the tables.

I can recommend it 100%! Great food, great service, great location, lovely staff. A 10/10!! Definitely coming back.

I sat here with my girlfriend and tried several times to attract the attention of the waiters, unfortunately they did not want to help and when people who came in later were being helped, we went again.

The location and the view are very good. The rest....well We went there for dinner as a couple. The order was two different burgers. The chicken burger consisted of two extremely fried pieces of chicken and of course the decorated bun. The second burger was a meat patty that was almost black and completely dry. Neither was recommended. The service was professional but not particularly friendly. Too bad... not a nice evening. But expensive.

Great spot near the beach where there is often still room. The kitchen leaves much to be desired as this is 12 hours of meat. 3 sandwiches with very little topping. Would be bouncer, capacity and croquette. Fortunately, they cannot make the croquette smaller. For those 16 euros I expected a bit more (all three were like that). Better order the sandwich, better, cheaper and more.

Spare ribs were very clear and the half chicken was cold. Both were certainly not freshly grilled. Too bad. But the service was very nice... Even though it was clear to me.

Called Steam with a social deal voucher, 3 course dinner tasting. We were warmly welcomed. The food was great, starter all different snacks and the main course was great too! Dessert was a homemade twix with ice cream and whipped cream, again super tasty! After dinner the cook came to have a chat. Whether we were satisfied, well we certainly were! Also very friendly staff, nice restaurant and great food! Definitely recommended!

Great evening. This is a nice and cozy restaurant to have dinner after a walk on the beach. The food is very tasty and is prepared according to the requested adjustments. The staff is very nice and friendly. When we arrived the gas fireplace was on, which made it cozy. Food and drinks are not served too quickly, nor too slowly. There is soft music on, not disturbing. Dogs are allowed, but we did not find them annoying. As far as we are concerned, it is highly recommended to go for a meal.

Het was onze eerste keer hier. 14 februari lekker gegeten, dinner voor 2, en onze dochter heeft ook lekker gegeten. Was druk en gezellig. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. De bediening had het druk, maar bleven vriendelijk. Toppers.

We had made a reservation for 7:00 PM, but unfortunately something went wrong and we had to wait at the bar. not a problem in itself, but the bartender refused to serve us. then we sit at a table under a heater that was set to 80 degrees. (reported). by the end of the meal my clothes were soaked in sweat. All this did not really improve the experience.

Had dinner at Steam yesterday with a social deal voucher. We were warmly welcomed by a wonderful older employee. We were allowed to find a place to sit ourselves and he walked us to the table. Drinks were quickly taken and served. Food was amazing, starter all different snacks and wow the main course was divine. We had a 2-year-old son with us and they already offered to bring an extra plate so that he could eat with us. We have really rarely experienced this in a restaurant! In short, friendly staff, nice restaurant and great food!

Been on Steam again, 2 years later. Maybe the operator changed, but in any case it was really good this time. Service is great, food is delicious and the location is also nice. Please keep it that way, a significant improvement over the last time.

Empty tent and dry chicken and not fully cooked. Nothing there, just a few white fries. Soup came immediately with bouncer and half a chicken. Bottle of wine 39.50.... ffe 84.50... omg... So this was a one-off... It's not surprising that they kill themselves...

We like to go out for dinner via SocialDeal during a weekend away, but afterwards we regret it this time. We were welcomed upon arrival, but it seemed as if our reservation had not been made known. The staff openly discussed cancellations before we were finally allocated a table. The restaurant itself looked cozy, especially with the gas fireplaces. Unfortunately that was the only positive. We had to wait a long time for our drinks and had to ask ourselves whether our SocialDeal should be taken into account. When making the reservation I had indicated that my wife was pregnant, but this turned out not to have been communicated. This already gave us little confidence. Ultimately, after consultation with the chef, it was decided to replace the carpaccio with beets and the bavette with a well-done version. The starters were mediocre; the soup was even cold. Things went completely wrong with the main course. We were given a plank without explanation or signs, and the waiter never returned. After asking for plates ourselves, the food turned out to be downright bad. The bavette was missing and had been replaced by a tasteless hamburger bun. The sandwich was not toasted, still cold and simply topped with only sauce, lettuce, tomato and pickle. It was so tasteless that even a Euro banger would have been better. The chicken was dry, the vegetables seemed steamed rather than grilled, and the rib fingers were greasy and tasteless, despite the promise of a charcoal grill. When we finally spoke to the waiter, we were told there had been a misunderstanding: my wife was supposed to be vegetarian, not pregnant. That apparently explained the hamburger, although strangely it was close to half the chicken. We were given the option to have a bavette prepared, but our appetite was now gone. As compensation we were given coffee or tea, but even the ginger tea was tasteless. The package included a dessert with a choice of two options, but a Twix dessert was served without consultation. This dessert itself was fine, but the lack of choice felt strange. Payment then took way too long, so we started asking questions ourselves. All in all a huge disappointment. Steam is absolutely not recommended, and it also makes us doubt whether we still want to use SocialDeal if they promote such restaurants.

We thought we would have a nice bite to eat at Steam. However, this was very disappointing in practice. Ordered half a chicken and a truffle burger. There were hardly any vegetables. With the chicken, coleslaw which was gone after two bites and the lettuce leaf on the burger was the only vegetable with 3 mushrooms. Small bucket of fries, it just wasn't enough. Chose not to have dessert, even though we still had enough room for it... A waste of money!!! The food there was really nothing special!!! The atmosphere is pleasant.

Today, January 3, 25, having a bite to eat in an ice-cold restaurant is really not possible. Feel sorry for the staff who have to deal with many rightfully angry reactions to the temperature

Very changeable... We had dinner at Steam on two evenings. On the first evening everything was perfect, service was good and the food was really good too. So we went back to this restaurant a few days later and were absolutely disappointed. The main course (steak) was served 3 minutes after the soup and was of course cold, the meat was tough and stringy. We complained about that, but the cellar just said sorry. We didn't even get a starter, but it was on the bill, which of course we complained about. Very unfortunate...

Had a delicious lunch after a cold walk on the beach. Very attractively decorated and the food was delicious, good quality and more than enough. Keep it up!

Ok, the waitress seemed to have her first day at work. Nice but helpless. Of course that wouldn't be a reason for a bad rating. However, the food that was then served did. The “farmer's bread with aioli and salted butter” turned out to be a few flabby little rolls with salad mayonnaise and regular butter. The starter (shrimp pan with garlic and siracha sauce) was quite ok. The coronation came with the main course (rib-eye steak with Béarnaise sauce, grilled vegetables and fries). What I was served defied description: the steak was one centimeter thick and was served at room temperature, the “grilled” Vegetables were steamed to the maximum and the sauce had the consistency and taste of a sour mayonnaise, into which a few herbs were thrown at random (although there were no tarragon or chervil). As a precaution, I decided not to experiment with a dessert.

We thought we would have a nice drink. Ordered two drinks and a portion of bitterballen. Bitterballen arrived within 10 minutes, drinks just didn't arrive. The waiter said it was chaos behind the bar. There were 4 people behind the bar, 12 tables were occupied, but the drinks were not delivered.... A lady from the service was parading back and forth, doing nothing. Apple pie was gone Something different was suggested with coffee, so people ordered cheesecake or brownie, but got ice cream with it, because it was on the dessert menu 🤦 After waiting for 45 minutes for our drinks, we paid for the bitterballen and left. So never there again.........

Thought I would have a drink here with an appetizer. The drinks took a long time to arrive. While the place wasn't even full. We counted 12 tables occupied. 4 people behind the bar and 3 in service. Even then we couldn't get the drinks on the table. The appetizers did come. It had now become cold. It is nice to have drinks and snacks on the table at the same time. Finally paid without receiving the drinks. These arrived on the table during checkout. Shame.

Delicious food. 2 evenings. The stew and rib fingers in particular were very tasty. But the vegetarian dishes were also great! Service was good and pleasant, cheerful, hospitable. Had a really nice evening.

We accidentally walked straight to a table. Someone from the staff snapped at us viciously as if we hadn't seen the sign at the entrance. We didn't have that. It turned out that the sign said that you had to wait for the staff. Obviously annoying, but if you welcome your customers in that snippy tone... We left immediately because of being addressed like 2 annoying children while you bring money into the drawer... Plenty of other catering establishments in the area!
