Enjoyed prior to visiting the theater. Delicious food, beautiful presentation and very friendly service. During the break we were able to return to our table and the drinks were already ready. What great service.

Here you don't eat your own food through a catering company, it's a pity that this is not mentioned. Very friendly reception. Great service. There is something to be said about the food; Ordered a theater dinner in February and you had to mention meat or fish. The performance was yesterday, April 28, and we thought fish tasted better. Called 2 days in advance was not answered. Email sent to switch from meat to fish menu. We had already eaten asparagus. NO RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL. so we got asparagus anyway because it was no longer possible to change. Because it came from catering. Was welcomed with a free glass of wine. But still it sticks. Fries were very bad, all small hard pieces. Also a small dish for 2 people and it didn't look good. Too bad for that price. The starter was superb. Also the dessert. Fortunately, the atmosphere was pleasant and so was the performance. Requires improvement.

Heerlijk op een donderdagavond met de kinderen even een dessertje eten bij Over de Tong. Omdat ik twijfelde of iedereen het dessert café Gourmand zou lusten gevraagd naar de alternatieven. Vanuit de keuken werd er goed meegedacht en we hebben allemaal genoten! Het restaurant is sfeervol en ruim ingericht, personeel erg vriendelijk. Ik zag op de kaart ook lekkere borrelhapjes dus we komen spoedig terug!

Gegeten voorafgaande aan een voorstelling. Drie gangen voor €29,95 is redelijk geprijsd echter een lokkertje. Voor bijna elkj gerecht geld een meerprijs. Zowel bij het voor- als hoofdgerecht waarbij je niet op €29,95 maar zo richting de €40,00 gaat. Misleidend vindt ik dat. Zeker de voorgerechten zijn erg klein. Bivoorbeeld 3 kleine tempura garnalen of een heel klein schaaltje Humus waar Pita brood bij zou moeten liggen. Dat werd 2 stukjes stokbrood. ook de porties van het hoofdgerecht was karig. Het eten op zich is lekker, bediening vriendelijk maar wel rommelig. Al met al teleurstellend als je dan de rekening krijgt. Dit is een van de betere Theater restaurants van Nederland. Voor die nominatie mag je letterlijk meer verwachten!

In ben hier nu zeker een keer of 10 geweest. Een paar keer voor een zakenlunch en dat is goed bevallen. Heerlijke salades, maar ook de andere keuzes op de kaart zien er prima uit. Voor diner ben ik hier zowel zakelijk als privé geweest en eigenlijk altijd vooraf aan een voorstelling. De gastvrouwen/heren zijn zeer vriendelijk, je voelt je meteen erg welkom. Dat begint al met je naam op tafel als je gereserveerd hebt. Je jas wordt al in de foyer gehangen en er wordt rekening gehouden met de aanvang van je voorstelling dus je hoeft niet bang te zijn te laat te zijn. De kaart biedt genoeg keuzes en het menu is een aanrader. Zelf ben ik erg fan van het vispannetje en de overheerlijke toetjes zoals de cheesecake. Als er dieetwensen zijn denken ze erg met je mee. Ook is het mogelijk een tafeltje te reserveren in de pauze en staan dan de drankjes al voor je klaar op tafel.

Yes, what can I say about this... Drinking a Pilske after a nice and pleasant carnival performance. Well-maintained toilet and that is always important to me. Staff polite. Smoke outside in the garden of the Tongerlo house... Seen, talked to, and toasted many nice people... all in all a nice location. What it's like there normally... No idea...

The lunch dishes were tasty. The price-quality ratio was also good. It didn't look cozy now, because the place was half empty because of the upcoming carnival. Friendly service

Eten in het theater waar je een toneelstuk bezoekt heeft onze voorkeur. Maar dan moet je het wel treffen. Met Over de Tong in theater De Kring tref je het. Een keuzemenu voor 27,50 is een prima uitgangspunt. Voor enkele gerechten moet je bijbetalen. De proeverij vooraf biedt leuke gerechtjes, zoals de pompoensoep. De tournedos en het visstoofpotje zijn prima. Alleen de confijte aardappeltjes zijn wat hard en smakeloos en de frietjes wat slap gebakken. Met de plezierige bediening en een aardig flesje wijn voor een redelijke prijs al met al een plezierige start van een avondje uit.

what a nice location to have a party. plenty of space and delicious homemade pastries. we were completely spoiled. I already know for the next party: it will be "about the tongue" again... you will happily drive a little way (90 km)

Een heel leuke menukaart die regelmatig veranderd, een kok die weet hoe eten gevarieerd klaar moet worden gemaakt, verassingen op een bord en een eerlijke prijs. Zie daar de ingrediënten die er voor zorgen dat je lekker kunt eten.

Had dinner here yesterday before the theater performance by Robert. What friendly staff and delicious food. After the performance our drinks were ready and the ladies took the time to ask about the performance. Class. Highly recommended! Eating here makes your theater evening complete!

Great place to visit before you go to the theatre de Kring in the same building. The got great food en great staff who will make you feel very welcome. You should really check the calendar off the Kring so you can get a complete night out. After the at you can get drinks and snacks at the bar and still enjoy the atmosphere of the theatre and the play you just visited. Your also welcome for just something to drink or eat.

Brasserie Over de Tong is located next to the Stadsschouwburg in Roosendaal. You can enjoy delicious food there. Theater menu e.g. Recommended!

Delicious food and you could ask if you didn't know a menu whether it was a large portion or not. Very friendly welcome and nice service. I will definitely come back again to have something to eat before a performance at the circle

After an evening at the city theater, this is a great "place to be", or you can have another drink while enjoying a drink and live music.
