We had to sit in a secluded spot, even though we had made a reservation. Great!!! That’s what you reserve for, right! As it happened, the spot where we wanted to sit was empty all afternoon. Weird! And veeeery customer-friendly, but not really.

I had ordered beef croquettes with bread there for lunch twice; they were small croquettes without beef. 8.50 each, plus 1 non-alcoholic beer and 2 regular beers, I had to pay 35 euros. I used to go there regularly; it was a good place with a more extensive menu, probably a new owner now. Never again.

What friendly staff and great service

Friendly welcome and service. The reserved table with a view of the Old Meuse was actually ready for us. The food is actually way too much, but we were able to simply take our leftover pancake home with us. All in all, highly recommended. The prices are a bit on the high side, but considering the quantity you get, you absolutely cannot complain about that.

Well... I thought it would be nice to have pancakes with my daughter. I checked the website. When I got there, there was a sign saying "If you haven't reserved, we unfortunately cannot serve you." Sorry, the restaurant isn't located in a neighborhood with plenty of dining options. Then clearly state on the website that reservations are required. I don't live around the corner, and I don't think a lot of other people do either.

Requested the venue by invitation. We were there on Monday, August 10th at 4:00 PM. Plenty of parking, but difficult to find due to overwhelming crowds. Reservations are a must if you want a table. Due to the crowds, I don't quite rate the atmosphere 5 stars.

The pancakes are thick, too thick. They are served with butter, something I've never experienced before. I didn't see anyone use it either. The waitresses are not nice to each other, they argue about who gets to serve where, and they are unmotivated. We were given drinks in glasses with a crack and a piece missing. The waiter just poured it. We asked for a new glass and the contents were simply poured over. They didn't even check if there was any glass in the drink. The milkshake was the highlight. It is a shame though, because the location and atmosphere are top-notch.

Just a nice, quaint pancake house where you can also get a very acceptable sandwich, by the way, and all of this in a unique spot on the Oude Maas. Definitely worth a visit.

A really nice place to eat. I popped in on a Sunday Monday evening and the staff seated me without hesitation. The food was delicious, and a big drinks menu. Service wasn't rapid but it was perfectly reasonable and it's a nice place to chill anyway. The staff are friendly and kept me updated apologising for the delay, but in my opinion there wasn't one. I wasn't sure what to eat so the waitress chose for me and her choice was exceptional. I would definitely come back if I was in the area, I really enjoyed it.

Very nice location with a beautiful view of the Oude Maas, prompt and friendly service, but for us, the pancakes were just a little too thick. We are used to pancakes with a nice crispy edge, where you can still taste the butter a bit. Straight from the frying pan. These pancakes were too perfectly round, lacking that crispy edge, and just a little too thick, making them taste a bit floury… as far as we, avid pancake eaters, are concerned, that could be better! But tastes differ; we saw many satisfied guests at the table! So this is a personal opinion!

The pancakes were delicious, and the service was quite fast. I ordered an iced coffee and have never had such a bad, tasteless iced coffee. It was watery with some coffee flavor, filled with very large ice cubes that are normally found in lemonade. I pointed this out to the waitress, received an apology, and that was it. Apparently, they always prepare them like this.

Stopped at the Pannenkoekenhuis Oude Maas during a bike ride. Really delicious pancakes with various toppings. Super tasty 😋. You can relax wonderfully by the Oude Maas and have a picnic with your friends and/or family. For the children, there are playground equipment and a little train, so much fun.

First of all, the neighborhood walker Ayden was truly AMAZING! A joke in between made it a lot more fun. The food was fine, worth repeating. The location close to the water was also super nice!

Good arrangements were made for a party. Haven't tried the pancakes yet. The arrangements regarding the party 6 years ago fell through due to Corona. On July 15, 2026, we enjoyed lunch on the terrace, overlooking the Oude Maas. The pancake (plain) was good and sufficient. The lunch special was an HOUR, generously filled with roast beef, ham and cheese, a fried egg, salad, raw vegetables, and a croquette. All this on tasty bread. I couldn't finish it all, but it tasted delicious. Friendly staff, clean toilets, and ample parking. We will definitely be back.

Long wait before someone finally came to take our order. It also took quite a while for the pancakes to arrive: a children's pancake, two regular ones with sugar (and syrup at the table). The pancakes were very thick, so I think they were made with batter with few eggs - and tasted floury. Although the staff was friendly, I didn't really feel good or satisfied afterwards, because I ended up paying almost €60 including drinks - and that for something that actually costs next to nothing. A bit of a shame... and definitely bring patience when visiting this restaurant.

We ate delicious pancakes in a very cozy setting. The service was very friendly and punctual. There is a view of the water. Reservations are not strictly necessary, but recommended. Also for larger groups. Recommended? Absolutely. I will definitely be back here.

The pancakes themselves were fine. The service, however, was really bad, especially the manager who thinks he can solve a problem by ignoring it. We and another table next to us were surprised that soft drinks and Spa Blue are not served in bottles on the table. When we ordered Spa Blue and Green Ice Tea, we refused the glasses and politely demanded the bottles with two empty glasses and no ice in the water glass. The waitress immediately walked over to the manager, who came storming over angrily and, without asking what the problem was, asked: "Who is the water for? Who is the Ice Tea for?" The height of incompetence! That is not how you treat guests. My wife works in a (much better) restaurant than this pancake place herself and also said that is not how you solve a problem or help your customers. Then the lousy manager went inside and came back with two empty bottles (1x water and 1x Green Ice Tea), but I said that doesn't prove it isn't tap water! And after we tasted the water, it is just tap water and certainly not Spa Blue! The Green Ice Tea also tasted very different and was diluted with water!!!! So people, you are being ripped off here!! They earn extra money by diluting drinks, because why are beer bottles, Fristi, and chocolate milk bottles allowed on the table? Because you can't dilute those with water!!!!! I would say don't eat here! Bad place with a manager who doesn't know how to deal with customers....... If your customer discovers that tap water has been served, just admit it honestly and compensate your customer. Now, with his incompetent handling, he has caused two tables to already say: I am never coming here again!! Afterwards, we went to get an ice cream from the vending machine opposite this bad pancake place, and the ice cream machine there was practically empty..... if it belongs to the pancake place, I understand; if you can't keep customers satisfied, it is also very difficult to refill a vending machine on time. Many people were complaining about that... People, avoid this restaurant like the plague!!

We went out for dinner with our two grandchildren. I had made a reservation days in advance and asked for a table by the window so the children could watch the boats. I was told they would make a note of this, but it could never be guaranteed. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were given a table in the annex! All but one of the tables overlooking the water were empty. I asked if we could sit there. "No ma'am, those are reserved..." But I had reserved too, after all! It is remarkable that there is apparently a double standard at this restaurant! After all, no table could be guaranteed for me! When we left, by the way, there was still not a soul at any of the reserved tables! Too bad, I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. But now I will look for something else. The pancakes were delicious! But for us, the fun was over. The drinks are ridiculously expensive, by the way.

Cozy restaurant and ate delicious pancakes. It is located by the Old Meuse, so when the weather is nice in Istanbul, it gets very busy with day-trippers who want to relax on the grass in front of the restaurant. Then it is very difficult to find a parking spot.

I have eaten there several times before and enjoyed it, but the last time was downright bad. After a bacon and cheese pancake that had been in the pan a little too long, I tried for half an hour to order dessert. We were completely ignored by the staff, or they indicated they weren't allowed to take orders but would send someone over. So we just paid and drove past an ice cream parlor. I complained while paying, but there wasn't even a response. Not even an apology for the downright worthless service.

We were looking for a place to have pancakes ( as one does in the Netherlands) and came across this beautiful place! It is a short drive from Rotterdam, so part of the charm as you are out in the nature. It is situated directly by the river Oude Maas and their terrace has a fantastic view to it. You can watch all the shops passing by. There is also a large grass area and a cycling past that passes by there. Lots of cyclists thus stop by here during their trip for a drink and bite. The place is decorated with Delft Blue tiles and Rotterdam styled Delft Blue plates, so it has that traditional Dutch feel. There is a large selection of ice cream desserts and cocktails as well as if course, pancakes! It would be difficult to have more than one pancake per persoon die to the size of the portion. The food and drink were both excellent and we really enjoyed it there. Parking was also plenty. Will be sure to go back there many more times!

Ate a delicious old-fashioned Dutch pancake.

A pancake house just as a pancake house should be. We have been coming here for 40+ years. Always something to do. We celebrated a party here twice and that turned out well too.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with a 2-year-old child; we sat waiting for an hour after the main course and ended up walking to the counter myself to ask for the dessert that was supposed to be on the children's menu so we could finally leave. Also, no one asked if we wanted anything to drink. And even when paying, my daughter wasn't helped, and other people were served first while they just left her standing there.

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing this time. The staff was very busy, which meant we received little attention and had to wait a long time. We were not asked if everything was to our liking, and other tables seemed to be served faster. In the end, we had to ask for the bill ourselves. Hopefully, this is just a one-off occurrence.

This has got to be my default go-to pannenkoeken house in the entire Netherlands, and trust me guys, I've been to a few... The food is consistently great, the assortment quite large and the service always top-notch. The cherry on top is the fantastic restaurant venue - meticulously decorated restaurant, in a setting very close to the river Oude Mass along the shore of which you can go for a walk after the satisfying meal.

First of all, it's already difficult to make a choice out of sooooo many delicious options! There really is something for everyone! I chose the Rotterdammert myself, and it was absolutely delicious! Well-filled, with a slightly spicy edge. The pancakes themselves are also big enough to really fill you up after just one. It's also nice that dogs are welcome, for those who want to bring their beloved four-legged friend along! Definitely recommended 🫶🏼

Last week, after finishing work, I got a craving for a pancake... I had visited this place a while ago, when my brother had celebrated his birthday there. Since I really enjoyed it back then, I didn't have to think twice about going back again. Besides the fact that the location is situated in a beautiful spot, with a stunning view over the Maas, the service was particularly friendly and I didn't have a reservation—I was alone this time—but the wait didn't last long. It was a weekday, the restaurant was sufficiently full to feel cozy, and I was assigned a spot in the conservatory... Coincidentally, this was also the conservatory where my brother had celebrated his birthday... The staff were friendly again, without exception; my drink order was taken quite quickly, and I already knew what I wanted to eat; the service was efficient... The drink was served quickly, and I was just waiting for what I was craving so much.... Once again, I ate a delicious pancake with bacon and cheese. The pancake was perfectly cooked again. Tasty crispy bacon, melted cheese, and the pancake itself perfectly cooked. The right thickness, the right size, and served with an open smile and accompanying chatter, I enjoyed my delicious pancake again this time. So I assume the quality next time will be just as tasty and fun as it was last week... If you are still in doubt, be sure to visit this restaurant yourself.. You get exactly what you are in the mood for at that moment; it is more than worth the effort to enjoy what is clearly indicated on the facade of this Pancake Restaurant... It is worth it...

I had a very disappointing experience. The supervisor’s behavior was unprofessional and quite disrespectful, which made the environment uncomfortable. Because of this, I decided to leave much earlier than planned. Unfortunately, it was not a positive experience
