We had reserved a table, but when we arrived, the reservation had not been confirmed. Tables were placed together in a corner. With the food, the satay sauce ran out, and the drinks we ordered also went wrong. Too bad. There was a young man who was very good and friendly; he paid close attention to what went wrong and rectified it in a great, polite manner.

Had a delicious meal in a wonderful ambiance. Plenty of choice for everyone, and unlimited desserts as well. Top-notch and delicious.

Never again for us. Tapas nice, honey. Order your mini hamburger, looked pretty good. Completely spoiled. You call staff, someone comes to look, smells, almost throws up. Madam, would you like a new one?? Dude, what do you think? (Well, meant kindly) Sludge on the floor, tons of staff walking all over it. So before my husband gets a pan of tomato sauce down his neck Just pointed it out. Oh well, you just leave it there, right? Order dessert instead. After half an hour and another table already getting their 3rd order, I was pretty much done with it. Okay, got half reimbursed, but no, got really sick from it, so that half reimbursement..... After contacting Pata Negra, giving them another chance. Visited the Sneek location and everything was to my liking. Also very nice staff.

Nice place, the staff is very friendly and walks around all the time. The dishes are decent and the drinks quite pricey, but despite that, you have a nice, relaxed evening. The 2.5-hour rule isn't strictly enforced, so if a round takes a bit longer, it's no big deal.

Overall, a fine restaurant for tapas. However, rounds took an extremely long time to arrive, which unfortunately makes you feel rushed even though you have 2.5 hours. We sometimes had to wait longer than 30 minutes for the next round, which is a real shame. Unfortunately, the toilets weren't very clean either. The service, on the other hand, deserves high praise; the ladies were extremely friendly and spoke politely.

I had been here a long time ago and was very dissatisfied back then. I ate here again a few months ago with work and I have to say that it has improved a lot, and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality of the food. I also think it's quite a nice concept that you can just stay seated until you're full.

In itself, a fine restaurant. Great dishes, nice atmosphere (perhaps dim the light between the two buildings, as it shines very annoyingly into the room). But for someone with a gluten allergy, this is not a pleasant place. This allergy was mentioned when making the reservation, and it was supposed to be no problem. Upon arrival, we were given a QR code for the allergens per dish, and it turned out that over 85% of the menu was unsuitable. (However, they were not allowed to mention this during the reservation, because there were actually a few dishes on the menu that were gluten-free: including potatoes and olives?!). Initially, no attempt was made to make the best of it. After consultation, the chef looked into how he could adjust the dishes so that more dishes would become gluten-free. The chef and the waitress did try somewhat to make it a carefree dinner for the person with a gluten allergy. Perhaps something to keep in mind for the future? If you do not have a food allergy, this is a very nice restaurant to visit.

Overall quite nice. Towards the end of the evening it became a bit sloppy. The spare ribs were still cold, as was the stew. Otherwise, the atmosphere is fine, and it is a pleasant place to sit.

There is nothing to complain about regarding the food. It is a nice place to go. It is a shame that things sometimes go wrong. An order doesn't arrive or something is forgotten. It is compensated for later, but this shouldn't happen.

I spoke to Marieke on the phone around 8:30 PM. While the opening hours indicate until 11:00 PM, after consulting with the kitchen, I was informed that we are no longer welcome. I think the entrepreneur behind Pata Negra has already made his money.

I have never given a restaurant such a bad rating in my life, but this one simply deserved it. Let's start by arriving at the restaurant where we reserved a table. The waitress takes us to a table at the end of the hall, right next to the fridge, even though there were free seats around. As time passed, the waiters kept coming in and out, carrying kegs of beer that they dragged across the floor, so much so that one of the waiters tore my jacket. Then we waited 35 minutes for the food, which was tasteless, the portions were for a small cat, not a human, so I paid 81 euros for 4 coffee saucers and a glass of disgusting wine. I hope that everyone who reads this review will avoid the mistake that my companion and I made and choose any other restaurant in the city. Literally behind the restaurant you will go to McDonald's or go home because you are hungry.

This is real dining; not finishing everything within an hour, but really sitting and enjoying yourself for 2 to 3 hours. With a drink and very tasty small bites with nice breaks in between. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant that doesn't really distinguish itself from the countless other all-you-can-eat tapas restaurants. The first order took a while to arrive, but after that, the service was excellent. The price-quality ratio is what you would expect. The service is also friendly. Not always consistent in explaining the dishes at the table, but always prompt and friendly.

The two of us went for dinner on Saturday night. Our first round took almost 45 minutes to finish. Drinks also took ages, half the food was cold and tasted like a microwave. It might have been because it was so busy, but we wouldn't go back again.

Great food, though sometimes you have to wait a very long time for your food. Everything else was great! Good food, friendly staff, and a beautiful restaurant. The only downside is that the food takes a long time to arrive.

The food was absolutely fine. Due to the crowd, we had 2.5 hours, which didn't seem like a problem. However, we waited 40 minutes for the first round, which made us feel quite rushed. Forty minutes before the end of our time, a young woman came to tell us our time was almost up, so if we wanted dessert, we had to do it quickly (personally, I wouldn't do that again). This made us feel even more rushed. This also makes the principle of unlimited rounds a bit of a contradiction. It somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Four adults and one child. Food, dessert, and drinks came to around €215.

We had delicious tapas. You can easily order them using the QR code. The time really flew by.

First time eating tonight, and what a fantastic place! I mentioned my allergy to cheese, and the (young) chef brought me a menu with exactly what I could and couldn't order, and what could be ordered without it if necessary. Fantastic! Even when we ordered something with cheese in it, a waitress came over to ask if it wasn't for me, as it did contain cheese. The staff were incredibly dedicated and the food was delicious and authentic. We were there from 6:30 to 10, fantastic!

What a disappointment...we wanted to grab some tapas with the family. (We booked well in advance, by the way.) We ordered the first course at 7:03 PM and it was delivered at 7:55 PM. We ordered the second course at 7:33 PM and it still hadn't arrived by 8:15 PM. We didn't wait any longer, and we paid for our drinks and the first course. A real shame; maybe you should accept fewer reservations if you're not prepared for this. The service, however, was very polite and friendly, and we received several apologies.

We ate with the kids (2 adults + 2 children aged 7 and 11). Friends pointed us to the special offer: €25 per person (children €1 per year of age, which I think is always the case). My partner had eaten there before. The online reservation was done quickly. The restaurant was almost full (Sunday evening). We were greeted with a bread platter. The food was delicious. Not everything was always warm, and portions varied per dish, but luckily it wasn't cold. (Only the last shrimp cocktail came straight from the refrigerator, I think.) Unfortunately, it took about 30 to 40 minutes for the next round. 2.5 hours "in time" according to the reservation, we managed to order 5 rounds "within the time," and ultimately sat at the table for over 3 hours. We didn't have dessert; it was time to go home with the kids. A faster turnaround would be nice. Waiting 30 to 40 minutes in between is really too long.

You have to be lucky; the food is better one time than the next. And the waiting times aren't always great for the concept. It says enough that we usually put an order in advance to order as soon as something arrives at the table. Otherwise, friendly service and a great atmosphere. Nice seating areas with the round benches.

Cozy and good food there! The only downside is that you can now only order your next dish after 15 minutes. This was never the case anyway until about six months ago, or before that. So, for us, this is the last time there.

The staff is friendly, and the food I had was quite good. Unfortunately, far too many reservations were taken, so we had to wait over an hour for our food several times, and we simply left hungry after four hours. We did eventually get a small discount, but we had to complain about it frequently. Everyone around us had the same problem, and the poor staff almost burst into tears from the stress. But the plus points: friendly staff, delicious tapas, and reasonably quick service after ordering (despite the crowds). A few things to keep in mind: the crowds. This is due to the table layout; too much is crammed into too small a space. It can quickly feel like you're crammed together. You see this almost everywhere in restaurants, even though they're almost never full. Just add some larger tables with more space. Consistency is key; for example, the gazpacho was fine during my first round, but the next round at my father's place, it was clearly watered down, and extra salt and chili were added. If you know it's a popular dish around a certain time of day, make sure you have enough. The price was perhaps a bit above average. But that can quickly add up when four people order drinks with their food these days. It's a bit like the old days, when tapas were free. The money was made from the drinks they sold (very expensively). But it was just a really fun night out.

I don't want to use apps or scan QR codes to order food. Call me old-fashioned, but I won't be coming back, and it's not because of the food or the staff. I just want to check off a card and not have to bring my phone.

Not a good idea to go on a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed. The food was fine. The time between courses was simply too long. An average of 20 minutes! The staff tried their best but couldn't keep up with the orders.

We had a truly fantastic meal here! The menu is incredibly tasty, and the staff is very friendly. There's a patio outside, and inside, there's plenty of room to sit. We requested a quiet spot, which was great. The mocktails were also delicious! Ordering is done via your phone, which is also very easy and works well. Definitely recommended!

Top Tapas restaurant, order two tapas per person per round via your mobile phone. The portions are generous, so you certainly won't go home hungry. The atmosphere is cozy and the tapas are delicious. We also had a delicious Pinot Grigio.

The price-quality ratio is good, and the service is excellent, except that no one in this Spanish restaurant speaks Spanish. Authentic Spanish cuisine is hard to come by; it could be improved. For example, more garlic in the aioli, with the prawns and steak. Patatas bravas should be served with salsa brava. Paella Valenciana is blasphemy and shouldn't be called paella. It's cooked with low salt, but there's no salt or pepper on the table. The albondigas were too dry and clearly hadn't had bread mixed into the minced meat. The Champignons were simply flavorless. The chorizo was a cheap, shoddy imitation of Iberian chorizo. Not a bad restaurant; it tasted quite good, but authentic Spanish tapas could be better. Don Mariano Zamorano-Perez, Spanish chef.

Surprisingly good restaurant. We were the first to arrive on Monday. After an explanation, we ordered. No complaints about any of the dishes. We finished everything, and the taste and portions were excellent. The only thing that could really be improved is the presentation, but we're still looking for that. Pata Negra, you've got it perfect. Good food, good and friendly service, and a nice decor. If we ever visit Heerenveen again, we will definitely visit your restaurant again. Keep up the good work!

We ate at Pata Negra Heerenveen. There were six of us here, but unfortunately it was not to our liking. We had to wait half an hour for our order every time. This feels very long to me. I have also been to Drachten before and it was busier there than Heerenveen, but it went much faster there. The food was good and Pata Negra is otherwise a nice restaurant to eat. Only the waiting times were long.

We have been eating out every week throughout Friesland for years but so far we have not come across such a bad restaurant as this. Everything went wrong here before with a dinner and after a while you give it another chance through third parties and it went well a few times but the last time it went so wrong here with everything that was unacceptable and you contact the manager and you get a nonsense story back and you are fobbed off with 4 people. Free tapas desserts ... this story is putting it mildly because otherwise the whole thing is removed if you are too rude. It is clear that there is a structural problem here. We will not come back here in any case! During the week it is as if you enter the Poeiz supermarket that also only has young people working without any experience. 50 meters further is Gusto and just as tasty and a lot cheaper!

We were very curious about Pata Negra, it was our first time and after all we had received a gift voucher for 100 euros. Unfortunately it was very disappointing for us. The food was fine, but not very fresh and sometimes a bit overcooked (food was warm). Staff were incredibly friendly and did their best. Unfortunately it took a very long time before we got anything. The first drink came very quickly, then the food and drinks took a long time (took 30 to 45 minutes per round). Because it took so long, we only did 4 rounds because we had had enough of waiting (other guests around us also complained about the long wait, which changed the atmosphere a bit). We ended up paying 75 euros for 4 rounds and 3 drinks, which was not worth it for us, especially because of the long wait. That's why we wouldn't eat out here again. What is a plus is that you do not have time to sit there, you can order unlimited dishes, up to 2 dishes per round.

I always come here intact Please. Until yesterday I told the waiter that I did not want a red steak that was overcooked. They have passed this on to the kitchen. But the kitchen didn't do anything about it, it may be busy, I understand that, but it is annoying. We also had to wait a long time for the food. Finally, reported twice, the steak did not come back, in the end we had to wait, new ones would come again, but we had to wait so long again, this was stated at checkout, but it was said, how annoying. You pay for it so I thought it was a shame. I'm someone who doesn't complain easily, but I didn't like this as much.

I had dinner with my brother and 3 sisters, it was very pleasant, but at a certain point there was no more clearing, I saw 2/3 of the control panel who were wandering around at empty tables and clearing the table while we met each other to get the next course and which was a huge disadvantage that was not indicated anywhere was what was spicy, you cannot tell from the picture or name whether the dish is spicy, a huge pity for that reason I would not want to eat it again anytime soon, hopefully that will be the same at Pat Negra as a whole looked at because some like my sister and I really can't handle that well. Despite that we had a nice evening!

Het concept is leuk, 2 tapa p.p per ronde en onbeperkte rondes. Helaas duurde het erg lang voor de 1e ronde kwam. Daarna hebben we precies op de 15 minuten af de volgende bestelling geplaatst, waardoor het redelijk doorliep. De drankjes kwamen echter pas na een half uur. Onze 10-jarige dochter kreeg een alcoholisch drankje voorgezet (niet besteld uiteraard). Dezelfde tapa was per ronde verschillend geserveerd en 's nachts begon de 1e van de 4 aan de voedselvergiftiging. Uiteindelijk zijn 3 van de 4 ziek geworden. Heel jammer, want het eten was wel lekker.

As a Spanish person I can say this is not Spanish food at all, which was a disappointment as I was excited with the reviews. The other food in general is nice, the service is quite mediocre, the girls really don't show any effort to check if you are actually enjoying it and you order on a QR code. The place looks awesome and is big, perfect for groups or even parties if they do it. I would recommend either getting better providers of Spanish food or taking it out of the menu. The serrano ham croquetas are the worst I have ever tried in my life.

Cozy and attractive tapas restaurant in the heart of Heerenveen. Staff was very nice and hospitable. You notice as it gets busier, they have more difficulty keeping up with the pace (in the kitchen) (maybe hire some more staff). The menu is not very large, but it has nice dishes (choice of cold, meat, fish and vegan dishes). You can order a maximum of two dishes per person per round. Ordering is done via QR code via your phone. Especially considering the price, quality is not a bad thing!

We had dinner with you tonight. The food was fine, but we still went home with an almost 'empty' stomach. The rounds were an average of 45 minutes waiting, so more than 5 rounds were not possible. Not really unlimited tapas food for the price. As compensation we did have a drink on the house, which was thoughtful, but it felt a bit like a plaster on an open fracture. Overall a very disappointing evening unfortunately.

We had dinner in Heerenveen last week to end our holiday. Everything took a very long time. Drinks took a long time and so did the dishes. In addition, the dishes were of mediocre quality. The food was decent, it all took a very long time. The pitas were barely filled with meat, the outside was warm, but the inside was sometimes still really cold from some dishes. When we said something about it, it was dismissed with: sorry, it's Valentine's Day and it's just busy. But you can still expect hot dishes. In addition, we could hear all the complaining in the kitchen, which we thought was not very nice. We were a bit disappointed, because after all the positive stories, our first time at Pata Negra was a bit of a disappointment and we won't be back anytime soon.
