A fantastic place with a beautiful view!! Definitely worth coming back.

Snackbar Aquarius is an even worse ruin than before. Nothing is being done about it, and it's polluting the landscape of this area. A hiding place for the homeless and all sorts of unsavory characters in the evenings and early mornings.

Ordered 2 corona'a for 13 euros and they turned out to be out of date. We wanted a new one and before we could finish the sentence we got a clear NO. He didn't come up with a solution only that he can take them so no money and no new beer. these are normal things that a catering establishment should handle

Located in the Park Oeverlanden you will find the Paviljoen Aquarius. Parking with the car is still free here. Public transport stops in front of the door and you can easily park your bike. Once at the park you will immediately walk into the pavilion, when you enter the grounds via the renovated bridge. You can sit inside and outside and there is enough choice for everyone to enjoy. From a cup of freshly brewed coffee or cappuccino to a strong drink. From an ice cream to a full meal. Especially on warm days it is wonderful to relax here. You do not leave the city and you still have the peace and quiet of nature.

The staff does not have hospitality very high on the priority list. The restaurant is of course in a beautiful location.

In 40 years in the service industry have I never witnessed such a bad owner. We went in with 4 kids to buy ice creams and drinks on a hot sunny days. After sitting inside to cool down, the owner came to us and promptly told us that we had to get out because the kids were too noisy. When I told him it was unacceptable, he lied to us and said the place was not "officially opened inside" and that they were renovating (I've been going there for years and it's never been worked on and there was no sign indicating any of that, as opposed to the sign that tells you the toilet isn't public and is charged 1€ for example). He was raising his voice so I told him that he was now the one making too much noise to which he replied he could even get louder... It's the only service place there so it's hard to do without it if you go in the area, but if you can avoid, do so: Don't support bad business owners. *If you don't like kids, don't sell ice cream.*

Ik ging hier twee keer naar toe om een ijsje te halen. De eerste keer werd ik uitgescholden omdat ik buiten aan het kijken wat voor ijsje ik wilde. De tweede keer wilde ik twee ijsjes halen ik gaf hem 4,50 (in totaal 4,25) en hij gaf me niet mijn wisselgeld ik vroeg het twee keer heel netjes maar hij wilde het maar niet geven. Toen ben ik uit frustratie tegen iedereen die daar kwam gezegd dat je je wisselgeld niet terug krijgt. Na drie minuten was het hele terras leeg.

Even if I ordered drinks earlier, they asked me to pay 1€ for letting me little daughter use the restroom. It is not fair and rude attitude towards the customer.

The owner is rude and aggressive, he cannot even explain rules clearly, the bar is empty and we cannot sit on the terrace.

Only had a drink outside. The place is by the water is nice. The man in the service was very friendly. But I think it is self-service. Only pin is possible. You can create the atmosphere yourself, but the first impression was a bit sober. There was no price list in sight. Wine is indeed quite expensive for the amount. Coffee and cake 10 euros as a special offer I also find very high.

No menu. They don't serve fries 'because they don't feel like it', while we later saw the owner eating fries on the terrace. Unfriendly staff. Faded glory. Nine times out of ten the place is closed. No clear opening hours to be found anywhere. A shame, because it's a beautiful location. If you go to Nieuwe Meer: bring your own food! Stay away!

5€ for a Pepsi, this is a robbery!

This is truly the pearl of Amsterdam. Lovely terrace overlooking the Nieuwe Meer. Delicious food and treasures of people. If you don't find something on the menu, just give it a nice look. Then Rakes makes iced coffee, for example (when it's quiet)

Nicely located on the new lake. Unfortunately the ferry did not go to the other side yet. Had a nice ice cream.

Be careful with this place! I paid 4€ for a cappuccino with oat milk. The oat milk was smelling rancid and the guy insisted it was okay that he tasted it. If I didn’t tell him I used to be a barista and worked a lot with oat milk, he would have let me drank expired milk. He also doesn’t know how to make a cappuccino for something overpriced

Only the prices are very high. 7.50 for fries and 5.50 for a sandwich or croquette sandwich. The man must have had it this season. As an entrepreneur, I would also put something on offer, a week's Special, for example. For the rest, super nice tent, beautiful view and delicious food

Didn't eat anything, had a drink. Even had to pay 1 euro for the toilet after consumption. Sad.

Really Bad Coffee and when I asked to return it and get something else they just said sorry but didn’t compensate or gave the money back such a service for a 4.50€ coffee is just the worst will never go there again!

Nice staff, helped quickly even though it was busy. And a fantastic view.

Fantastic terrace, excellent drinks, bitterballen, ice creams. Right next to a small swimming beach. From April to October there is a nice ferry that takes you to the other side of the Nieuwe Meer.

Sorry but if you are not even allowed to use the toilet if you consume a drink or icecream, even when you’re highly pregnant, and need to pay €1. I think you deserve a 1 star. You can only use the bathroom when you sit on the terrace…

Hosted our party here. We and our guests loved every bit of it. The view offcourse is beautiful. Banshi and his team were very supportive in all aspects and fully hands on ensuring the food was warm and guests were served all through. The drinks were also well made and everyone had a gala time and made life long memories with Aquarius.

Today with 2 people. No menu so no prices. 1 sandwich each with 1 (cracked open) croquette and 4 wines together. 38.80 euros. How is it possible. Never this again.

Amazing place with absolutely amazing stuff! I had to leave earlier from a dinner party so they arranged a take away doggy bag for me! Really great people and service and I will for sure return! 😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Very rude staff. They would like to earn money by selling ice creams for take away but then they impose some stupid rules where you have to enter, where you have to exit, kids not to touch the fridge. And all these rules are there because he does not want to pay for a person who would sell these ice creams.

One of the first orders I placed was 2 fries and a portion of bitterballen. Then saw 3 other customers walking away with fries. We are told after 45 minutes of inquiry. It takes a long time because we have bitterballen. In short, we walked away and paid for our drinks. It's useful to make better plans for the future to avoid even more bad reviews. Luckily the weather was disappointing

Shabby place on the water. The view was beautiful and the service not bad, but the drinks and snacks were extremely expensive and the beers almost expired.

We organized a BBQ here for an anniversary. location was great and at its best when the weather is nice, especially with some decoration it will be cozy food for 50 people was a well-organized BBQ and the service was top notch. people were flexible about moving from outside to inside. everything as agreed.

Me and my friends spent a good two hours here and spent approximately €50 buying drinks, chatting, and enjoying the environment on one of the hottest days of the year. We left, paid up to one member of staff, who was friendly and left us with a smile on our faces. I however returned about 10 minutes later just to use the toilet - thinking that my friendly staff member would just wave me through. I was met with this angry new staff person who completely refused me entry full stop, called the ‘police’ (or at least pretended to considering their contact was keyed in 112 but was actually calling Laura LOL!). I even showed my face to the staff member that sever me - who again waved me through to the toilet - but this rude dee*head just refused me entry again. I said “i’m gonna write you a bad review on google” so… here it is. And photos of him being angry that I needed the toilet lol. What a twot. Don’t go here.

We had a team uitje of 30 people ending up at Paviljoen Aquarius. The team was excellent and very friendly. Of course, with good weather on our side and a gorgeous view, we just had a great time. Thank you, guys!

Mein Mann und ich haben bei schönem Wetter mit Blick auf das Wasser auf der Terrasse was getrunken. Es war sehr schön. Man muss sich aber das was man verzehren möchte drinnen am Tresen holen. Am Nachbartisch hat ein Paar Fritten gegessen mit etwas das aussah wie parierte Frikadellen. Sah appetitlich aus.

Super simpatico, chiquitito y agradable lugar para tomar un desayuno tardio. Recomendable 100% para una parada dentro del ajetreo de la visita a la ciudad.

Pretty place on the water. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time within weeks that google tells me a place is open but upon arrival I find it closed. So no idea how the food would have been but the view is nice - and calorie free.... 😉

De ziel.is hier uit. Slechte kaart en ongeïnteresseerde bediening. Ik begrijp niet dat op zo'n prachtige lokatie zo een waardeloze tent kan overleven. Het wordt tijd voor een overname. Zoals met het oude Boothuis is gebeurd aan de Sloterplas: een leuk, hip betaalbaar restaurant voor jong en oud met eerlijke producten

Lekker geluncht uitsmijter hamkaas. Vriendelijke eigenaar die ons bediende.

Een mooie locatie met een prachtig uitzicht op het meer. We hebben hier een feestje verzorgd voor een jarige. Dat de brug naar het restaurant was opgebroken was niet met aan de jarige gemeld waardoor veel feestgangers geen idee hadden hoe ze er moesten komen. De ontvangst was koel. Bij binnenkomst, de enige entree, loop je tegen een grote koelkast op die in het halletje staat. Dat gaf het gevoel alsof je door het magazijn naar binnen moest. Er werd ons door de eigenaar, op een voor mij onprettige toon, verteld wat we niet mochten en wat we moesten. Er kon geen lachje of vriendelijk woord vanaf en ik voelde me niet welkom. De eigenaar had geen goede voorbereidingen gehad met het feestvarken waardoor er dingen onduidelijk waren die ter plekke op een norse manier opgelost werden. Personeel werd onvriendelijk benaderd door de eigenaar. De dame achter de bar was vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de hapjes netjes verzorgd.

Drank veel te duur. 4 euro voor een flesje Heineken is belachelijk. Doe ik dus niet meer.

Tijdens de lunch even een broodje eten. Tja dat viel tegen. De keuze was tosti of friet. Gekozen voor een tosti. Het meest simpele van het simpele, beleg was weinig. Waarschijnlijk gewoon standaard diepvrieswerk. Goede nieuws hij was niet verbrand. De prijs voor de tosti was redelijk, voor de drank was gezien de locatie redelijk stevig. Ik weet niet wat hier aan de hand is ten opzichte van 3 jaar geleden, voor mij zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Oud meubilair, rommelige opstelling, geen menukaart of iets dergelijks.

Leuk om even te zitten. Ziet er wel bouwvallig uit met de tafeltjes die bijna uit elkaar vallen. Verder vriendelijk personeel.

While the opening times show that the place should have been open, it was closed completely. It's a shame since it's a sunny day and I'm sure many people would enjoy some lunch after a day at the lake. Owner should update the opening times to avoid future mishaps.

They have only one choice of food which is a piece of toasted ham and cheese sandwich which was not that good. Everuthing else is either ice cream or snacks. Plus they had trouble accepting cash, only pin.

Goedemiddag, is het mogelijk om kenbaar te maken op de deur van het paviljoen of op de website, wanneer de zaak open is? Wilde komen lunchen met een paar vriendinnen na 1200 ,maar gesloten. Het was prachtig weer, heel jammer, want er is verder in de buurt niks. Prachtige plek aan het Nieuwe Meer en aardige eigenaar, maakt altijd een praatje..

Mooi uitzicht maar 4 euro voor een biertje is wel duur

Gastvrij ontvangst en aardige bediening. Alleen mag het terras wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken.

The view and area is great, but the service ruins it. I can understand someone having an off-day, but we’ve come here twice, different servers, same negative attitude. We aren’t tourists, and spoke Nederlands, but didn’t matter, also heard the server being rude to other tables. That being said, lower your expectations, get a beer, enjoy the view, and ignore the “service”.

Zou wel fijn zijn als jullie op de website aangeven dat het restaurant gesloten is door de week en niet opent vanaf 11 uur. Stond gisteren met meerdere mensen voor niks voor de deur.

Mooie plek maar hele "bijzondere" service! Hier eergisteren (zondag 5/9) geweest rond lunchtijd. Van de bediening gehoord dat er géén eten was. De reden: Er was een feest op zaterdagavond en hierdoor waren ze op zondag druk met opruimen en dergelijke. Hierdoor was de keuken dicht. Echt waar? Hadden ze het weerbericht niet gezien voor zondag? Volgens mij blijf je als team met zijn allen lekker doorrammen op de zaterdagnacht om op zondag weer volledig operationeel te zijn. Niet je keuken dichtgooien! Duidelijk personeel met een "hier word ik niet voor betaald" mindset. Geen mannen en vrouwen met liefde voor de tent. Heel erg jammer want er zit zo veel meer in deze plek!

We wilden hier lunchen, maar moesten eerst al lang wachten op iets te drinken en er was geen menukaart dus de eigenaar(?) Zou komen vertellen wat ze hadden. Toen we ons drinken op hadden was er nog niemand geweest... en zijn we maar ergens anders gaan lunchen. Als je te weinig personeel hebt oke, maar wees dan inventief met het personeel dat je hebt. Hier leek alleen degene die de afwas kwam halen snel en dat was blijkbaar ook de enige die de cursus klantvriendelijkheid had afgerond...
