Food was disgusting and poor quality. Service was poor and incompetent. Atmosphere: cheap junk. Inside. Mice were crawling under the cabinets near the pastry display... The food inspector should come here sometime...

Nice place. The wait for your food is too long, and the price is too high for what you get. A simple pancake for €10. For that price, you could feed an entire orphanage. A toasted sandwich is the same. Portions could be bigger!

What a bad business! Half an hour waiting for a French fry at 4.75 and then in a very small bowl with sour peanut sauce from a squeeze bottle. Also the thin unpeeled and baked chips fries are inedible. Staff that walks around with plates like a headless chicken and doesn't know where to go.

They came to ask several times if I wanted something to eat or drink – there were snacks and drinks, all well taken care of. The location also had a nice, relaxed atmosphere with a pleasant view and a nice beach-like environment. I felt comfortable during the entire visit. You can tell that they really care about their guests. I am very satisfied and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Recently I found myself at Lovers and Hunters, where I had the opportunity to meet a particularly endearing boy. From the moment I entered the door, I was struck by his warm and sincere appearance. He puts his heart and soul into offering everyone an unforgettable experience. I like to return every Sunday because he only works on this day. Although I don't remember his name for sure, I think his name is Lion. What I do know for sure, however, is that he provides the best service you could wish for. His professional attitude, coupled with unparalleled attention to detail, makes every encounter with him special. He works in Sneek and it is always a pleasure to meet him there.

2/2 Been here. Took at least 10 minutes before the order (2 coffees, 2 sweet potato fries and 2 croquettes on bread) was taken. After fifteen minutes I received 2 downright dirty coffees, after another 15 minutes I asked if the food was already on its way. Then we got 2 normal fries. She wanted to solve this very nicely by immediately making 2 sweet potato fries, but we chose to omit the fries and take them off the bill. After this came the croquettes, probably made from old fat (croquettes full of black speckles) and from fat in which other things besides snacks are fried because they smelled like fish. Prices are high, especially when you look at the quality and service. Staff is friendly, but clearly lack teamwork. For example, walking in from the terrace empty-handed while there are plenty of empty glasses, etc., to take with you. The crowds should not be an excuse on a Sunday that had been predicted all week to be a beautiful winter day. We won't be coming back here for a while. Too bad because the location is fantastic.

I thought the food and drinks here were terribly expensive! The area is beautiful. Restaurant is not vegetarian as they serve fish. It doesn't bother me at all either, because fish is delicious!

I believe in second chances, but to leave disappointed for the 3rd time... makes me want to skip this place! No greeting upon arrival, having been skipped several times by the service and hair in the pastry and not to mention the price and quality ratio... We are quite willing to pay a little more, but for us this means that the overall picture is correct!

Dear people, I am shocked by the prices here, they are abnormally high, they are really not in proportion to the drinks you receive. I really think this is a shame, the staff is quite nice. And the location is beautiful, but why these kinds of prices? This has made us decide that we will unfortunately no longer come here.

We sometimes take a walk around the Geestmerambacht. This time on the side of lovers and hunters. What a disappointment. We first had to wait almost 15 minutes to place our order. I used to love coming here, but gosh, what a mockery this is these days! No idea what happened. Just stay outside because someone will come to you to take your order (we wanted to take it with us), helped by a boy who we think is still too young to do that job and who cannot be understood at all. Got ice cream from the summer, ate it there and came to us 20 times with other orders or that of ours. Every time NO, we only have ice cream. Owner (I think) as grumpy as can be and did not speak too kindly about the guests sitting on the terrace. You better close the store or make drastic changes. Ultimately, no one wants to go here anymore. Shame.

Had lunch here on Sunday. Once but never again. It started with drinking mint tea with snails and other creatures. Then waited 45 minutes for the food... While waiting, a "non-Dutch" woman was cleaning up other tables. Instead of neatly and gently placing the crockery and cutlery in a container, it was simply thrown in. Young man walking around serving, barely audible. Not polite. Bad Dutch. For other people. Please continue to the next tent if you want to sit comfortably.

We had lunch here with a hiking friend after another round... What a terrible affair it was... The food was far below average... the owner walked around as if she had just gotten out of bed. Wet hair, slippers... or something that looked like it. The chai latte was tasteless, the falafel wrap....where was the falafel...?? The mint tea had wilted and brown leaves.. croquette sandwich, oh yes, I forgot to mention that they are vegetarian... The girls serving did their best... but they couldn't do anything about it. They received no help or support from the owner. We'll never come here again. From now on we will walk a little further.

Ordered something to eat and drink here after walking. Drinking took a very long time. After waiting an hour for our food and asking twice in between where it was, we asked for the bill. No apology, no compensation, nothing. Very bad!

Nice place to sit after a walk. It took a long time before someone came to take the order (more than 10 minutes). While it's not really busy. The service is friendly. We have the focaccia caprese sandwich and the acaii smoothie bowl. The sandwich was about the size of a pitta sandwich. There was no tomato on it, enough pesto and a tiny bit of mozzarella. That is certainly not worth €7.50. The bowl was tasty, but there was almost no fruit. Just made a sandwich at home.

Nice simple place in a beautiful place, but the food is a real joke. Mini portions for what you pay. The menu specifically mentions ketchup with the sandwich, but we had to make an effort to actually get it for the children. All in all a disappointing lunch.

Buy new cushions for the outdoor chairs and benches. And delivering the pastry fresh is a must, it was old and dry. But costs 6 euros each. Fries, There was a container full last year. Delicious! Far too little now, why?!? And much more expensive too? And as an owner, a smile on your face will not go amiss, it is not easy to run a catering business and not be able to find staff... Unfortunately our lunch was disappointing. We were told no for the chip shop, while 5 minutes after us other guests were offered a chip shop, the food was not beautifully presented on the plate and the soup we had ordered didn't taste like anything either. You won't see us here again!!

We had to wait more than 20 minutes for a tomato soup and a caprese sandwich. When the soup and sandwich were presented to us, I immediately burst out laughing. In the sandwich, the mozzarella wasn't even melted and you can just taste that the cheapest pesto was taken from a jar from the supermarket. You pay €7 for this. The soup resembles water with red food coloring. There are almost no vegetables in it and it doesn't taste like anything, you even pay €8 for this... I advise everyone never to eat here. Terrible experience and just a waste of our money.

Enjoyed a cup of tea in early spring. Friendly staff, a bit chaotic, it was not clear when serving which table heard the order. They have a different table numbering in the cash register than stated on the tables themselves, something for the manager to solve, a burden for the staff, especially the inexperienced ones.

Lovers and hunters, at first glance a cozy and attractive tent! The inside looks cozy and the temperature is also pleasant. I came with my walking buddy and wanted to have a drink after our walk. I walked to the counter and wanted a coke and a medium coffee, to my surprise I had to repeat this 4 times because the employees spoke little or no Dutch. Then the employee came by our table again to ask my walking companion whether he wanted a coffee or cappuccino, while I already saw her entering it into the computer. This is very bad for a catering tent. Fine for a drink, but that's all you want there. Everything is vegetarian by the way! Also a negative.

What a letdown. January 28, 2024 great day for a walk. Enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Service and kitchen were in disarray. Untrained teenagers without experienced leadership. Had to wait a very long time for a coffee and a hot chocolate. Chocomel was a watery instant cocoa drink. There was no pastry choice. At some point a boy started 'cleaning' tables with a mop and some water in a wine cooler. I think he had a mop in his hands for the first time. Two drinks and two slices of cake for over 18 euros is a lot.
