Pieperz Noordkade in Veghel

The food is delicious, but the delivery…. I’ve had it happen 4 or 5 times in a row now that my food is delivered more than 20 minutes later than my delivery time, and my food was also often already lukewarm/cold upon delivery… Update 4 years later: they no longer do delivery, but you can order online and pick up. So we did this to avoid the crowds in the restaurant. It wasn't necessarily busy; there were a few people eating here and there, but it certainly wasn't overcrowded. Even so, our food was only delivered 15 minutes later (fortunately, an apology was offered for this). Once home, we discovered that the sauce had been forgotten… There isn't much to say about the burgers; they taste fine, the chicken burger is nice and crispy, and the beef burger is quite flavorful. The fries, however, have really gotten worse; we had a bag for 2 people, and 1/3 of it was grit or fries no longer than 2cm, and they were also very dark. For the price you pay, you really should expect a bit more; they simply do not (or no longer) meet those expectations, and this is a real shame. It really isn't what it used to be, and unfortunately, this is the last time for us.

Filthy, disgusting, and dark brown burnt fries. The food was truly nauseating and inedible. Croquette empty because it was fried too long and exploded in the oil. Never in my life have I had such dirty fries. Seriously, what a worthless place.

I haven't eaten there yet, but I saw an employee use tongs to pull a support beam out of the hot water (which is dirty). Then he put the tongs, which he had been rummaging around in that super dirty water, back into the satay container. It is truly disgusting. A report is being sent to the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority; I have never seen anything so ridiculous!

When preparing the hamburger sandwich, everything was picked up by hand: onions, tomato, and garnish placed straight from the hand, while also quickly texting on the phone in between. Apart from the poor hygiene, the fries weren't very special either.

The fries were fried in old oil; the inside and outside clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, yuck! What an unexpected disappointment, I forgot to read the reviews beforehand....

Sunday afternoon. Nothing restocked. Empty display case, three children at the counter without a supervisor. Terrible, what a neglected cafeteria. Curious who the owner is. I would really like to have a serious talk with them. Absolutely no idea how things should be run.

It's just such a shame. Used to have good fries but the last couple of times is was just terrible and disappointing. When ordering a loaded fries sometimes you get a decent portion but other times is just one piece of lettuce and half of the other ingredients are no where to be found. When paying extra for a can instead of a bottle of drinks, they just want to give you a bottle. After you asking for what you have paid for the reaction is we are out of cans just take a bottle. After stating we paid more for a can he reluctantly gives back te difference. Seems like money is more important than the overal customer experience. Prices keep increasing while the quality and quantity keeps decreasing. If they do not fix this it is just waiting for it to be closed. Little sidenote when eating there do not expect it to be clean. Wanted to sit outside but a clean table was not there to be found.

Filthy chip shop. Could really use a clean. Ice cream bar as greasy as bacon. Overflowing trash cans. Dirty tables inside and out. Empty drink bottles (about 100 of them) were being collected on a small table inside. I suspect this is a losing battle.

veeeery long wait times, dirty tables, 2 guys were frying hamburgers without gloves, it was scratching their heads and they pulled up their shorts several times, when I asked why they weren't wearing gloves.......we always do that without gloves.. what a filthy place.

We gave up yesterday due to a 45-minute wait in a virtually empty chip shop. We thought we were being smart today by ordering online… but when we went to pick up, the order had vanished without a trace. After waiting an extremely long time, we came home with mini portions of cold, tasteless fries. It’s amazing how you can turn fries into such a disappointment. For us, this was the last time at Pieperz.

I won't be coming back here anytime soon; unfriendly staff, disrespectful attitude towards customers, and absolutely no welcoming atmosphere.

Unfortunately, it has gone downhill fast lately. If you only have two staff members, you shouldn't open. An hour has passed and still no food. People are not treated hospitably at all.

It wasn't as busy as we used to be. The quality has deteriorated significantly. The fries are fried very dark brown and absorb a lot of oil. The response was that it's due to the potatoes. We did get new ones, by the way, but they are no longer the fries we went for.

Forget about that kids' party there. Waiting for over half an hour... Then they get as many fries as they want, but they can't even manage a cup of soda. A pitcher of soda or water isn't for sale either. Jumbo is right next door, so we scored some nice ice cream there afterwards. You could play marbles with those bitterballen so hard. 🥲 too bad.. I should have bought a bag of fries and some frikandellen instead; it would have been cheaper in the end too! So we won't be doing that again 😅

Ordered large fries and two separate sauces, since one doesn't like mayo and the other doesn't like satay. Everything is thrown into one container, meaning you end up paying double for the sauce itself and throwing half of it away because it's all mixed together. And you pay 6 euros for this. The fries weren't really tasty either. A waste.

WHAT A TERRIBLE PLACE!! Orders have gone wrong 3 times in a row now, checked everything over the phone twice and still almost half of the order is missing. On top of that, the fries are soggy, the snacks aren't freshly fried, real faded glory instead of the best chip shop!!!

The fries were fried way too long, giving them a bitter taste—really not good. The service is excellent, and the restaurant is nice. If you fry the fries a bit less long, it will be much busier.

Hadn't been in ages and knew about the delicious fries. That's why we went there to eat with our two boys. The staff is barely trained and just messes around while preferring to dance to the music in between. The veggie burger was burnt and flipped with the same spatula as all the other burgers. The drinks and straws were not all in stock, and although I was clearly seated at a table, the entire order was packed up. The smashburger was also on the burnt side and just about acceptable. It was lukewarm, though, and swimming in sauce.

My vegetarian burger was cooked on the same plate right next to the regular burger (which was dripping with juices), which was then placed on the bun with the same spatulas as the regular burger. I could see from above that the burger was burnt, but it was served as is. The fries looked awful; they consisted largely of tiny pieces that were essentially just fried potato skin. I could have gone back and complained, of course, but if I can see from afar that it's burnt, then the person who cooks it certainly can. In this situation, I don't feel it's my responsibility to ensure that I don't get burnt food. To me, it's a sign of a lack of pride and/or responsibility. Enough reasons for me not to go back and not to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The fries were really delicious, made from fresh potatoes and served with your choice of meat. Not too expensive.

The fries were awful, burnt, and had a lot of grit. A huge difference from years ago. I think the grease was very old. It also took ages to cook, and the prices were incredibly high for the quality you get. No, I won't be back.

Really awful, the fries were half full, and half of them were inedible. Snacks were roughly grabbed by the tongs. Nothing was hot; I normally get fries and snacks elsewhere, and they're still warm when I get home. One look at the sauce bar and you feel sick, it's so disgusting. A bill of at least 5 euros more than at another snack bar where you get nice, warm, crispy fries, an unblemished snack, and a full stomach. I'll never go back here, even if it's the last one open, in which case air-fryer fries are a better alternative.

Been there a few times, great fries and snacks (if you get everything). Last time, the order was incomplete again. I emailed them because it was the umpteenth time, and they said they should show the email the next time, and it would be resolved. This time I ordered one bag of fries for 4 people, but on a quiet day, we've been waiting 30 minutes for a bag to be filled. Last time for us, unfortunately.

I have no idea how something as simple as fries or fries special can be ruined. The containers were 20-30% full of inedible, burnt debris. It's a real shame if you mention it, because hey, this "is part of our corporate identity." Never again.

I had my first burger there over the weekend, it was made by the staff from Pieperz and it was absolutely delicious. I decided to go back a few days later during the week. This time, the burger was made by a guy who I assume was the owner. It was a disaster. Just ketchup and mustard, the meat was about three times less than the first time — literally as thin as a slice of cheese. Not tasty at all, I don’t recommend it.

We ordered quite a lot. The food arrived relatively quickly, but we didn't receive quite a few of the sauces we ordered, or received them later. This is a shame, since you pay for them. The staff are friendly. The music is a 10/10.

Fries are very salty, sometimes I get a stomachache from them, it varies from time to time. Tasty though...

It was my last time, and I'd had enough. You can already tell from the other reviews that this company doesn't care about its customers. Anyway, we walked in and absolutely everything was filthy: the tables, benches, chairs, floor... not a single clean spot to be found. The staff were very busy chatting and gossiping about customers and each other. When I asked if a table could be set aside for us, it was quickly half-cleaned with a spray bottle; apparently, the fact that the rest remained dirty didn't matter. My first three experiences here weren't great, but the fries are delicious, so you keep trying. In my three previous visits, the food was cold, limp, or the meatballs even frozen. Today I thought, I'll take an order they can't mess up, but alas, my hogweed was cold inside, the onions were still raw, and the fries were saltier than McDonald's, which is quite an achievement. I also noticed that the staff really didn't care at all. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I just got an arrogant, high-class look saying, "Well, then just stay away," which is what I'm going to do. I strongly advise against this company for hygiene reasons. The quality of the food is also truly terrible, and the prices? Yes, they are extremely high for such a poor, ordinary snack bar. If you want to be a high-class snack bar, which you project, I'd suggest changing something quickly. Read the rest of your reviews! What a terrible cafeteria. We waited 45 minutes for our fries. They were very cold. When we reported this, the employee told us the fries were indeed cold. She wanted to make new ones, but that would take an hour... This is the last time we'll eat here! One star is still too much!

The fries were delicious, but the service was terrible. We ordered one after the other, but there was a 5- to 10-minute gap between them, even though it was incredibly quiet. My fries, too, came with the curry, mayo, and onions in a separate container, not on top of the fries. The music was also like being at a teenage disco, but to each their own.

We love coming here for the delicious fries, but the service was terrible tonight. We waited over an hour (!!) for our food. A simple order for 4 people. The staff was working at their leisure, even after we asked after 45 minutes where our food was. "Oh yeah, we're already busy!" After an hour, all we got was a lame "sorry." The energy/pace in the kitchen was visibly low. Of course, the staff might have had a long day, but we were really struck by how no one seemed to be really into it. Even filling some of the fries containers was done at a snail's pace. Very strange. When we finally got our order, they'd even forgotten the sauce. Sigh. No Pieperz for us anytime soon, no matter how delicious it is. Such a shame!

The food was good. Unfortunately, the service was beyond terrible. Ordering was only possible at a digital terminal, not at the cash register. The staff (three of them) were too busy chatting in the back of the kitchen while someone was helping people at the ice cream counter. We waited 15 minutes for our food, and we had to get our own drinks, even though they did bring the food. With these prices, service is definitely a must.

The quality has been good both times I've been here (but I've had better). The service has been terrible both times. I went once with a group, and the wait times were really long. I went once with three people, and the wait was even worse: I had to wait an hour and a half for my order. There are many better chip shops out there; we won't be back.

Potentially a good business. But the fries are mediocre for fresh fries, and the staff, including the owner, are disinterested. Why order from a broken screen when no one else is there? At least greet your customers, for example. Better lazy than tired! If there's no interest in your own business and work, sell it to people with passion.

You'll find the best Heissa fries here. The shop in Eerde was closed, so we drove to Veghel especially for this delicious dish. Definitely worth it. Be careful, though, because you won't be able to finish it.

Extremely poor staff. The underage ones work the best there. They do absolutely nothing. They stand around with their phones in their hands. Eight people went to eat. Two had already finished everything, and the rest wasn't even in the fryer. If you pointed this out and asked, you wouldn't even get an answer. After forty-five minutes, you get your food. We paid for medium-sized fries, and everyone got small containers that you had to find the stew with. We won't even mention the filth. A very bad place in Veghel. Just try and get some staff who can work and a manager. Never again for us.

Upon arrival, a customer who had waited a long time and whose order was incomplete was complaining. This seemed like an isolated incident, but unfortunately, it wasn't. The young staff clearly lacked direction and oversight. I think that's the biggest problem. Orders were getting mixed up, customers were dissatisfied, and the wait time was increasing. Several customers requested refunds after the long wait and left early. When our order was "overtaken" by customers who arrived much later, we finally asked. The order was no longer visible and was retaken. But you can see them starting something (making a milkshake), then moving on to other things, and when they return to the mixer, they can prepare a new one because it's thoroughly mixed. After a full hour and 15 minutes, our order was ready to eat, even though we'd clearly indicated it was to-go on the ordering kiosk. When we finally packed it up, we noticed that a pair of fries had been forgotten. Quickly made more and packed everything up with an apology for the long wait (that's nice ☺️). Quickly headed home, but unfortunately, a cold snack was in the way. Too bad, Pieperz, you're far from delivering the award-winning quality you claim!

Super bad experience with takeout. Forgot a container. Back inside. They divide one container over 2 containers. Counted 11 fries in 1 container. Waited half an hour. Really terrible service last month. Better close.

Had to wait 40 minutes for 1 hamburger

Just now, at 17:18, I tried to eat here. Order 1 a hamburger, "we don't have any hamburgers anymore." Order 2 then please have fries with pulled pork, "we don't have any pulled pork anymore." Special fries then? "We don't have any onions anymore.." Do you even have anything to make a sandwich out of!? "Yes, I can check if we have anything left" (it was checked with great difficulty and great reluctance) If you have so little, maybe tell me what you do have in stock.. I also work in service and I know how bad it is to say no or when things are out of stock, so I'm the last person to say and/or think anything about it, but this was downright bad service. I really understand that you're young and don't know how things work, but come on, what a load of crap. Last time I went.

Very bad organization, been there for the second time, nothing has changed with the staff, a disorganized mess, if your order is ready, it will take 45 minutes. The staff are minors who work there, I call that child labor, a parent is there to help, but they just walk around, no guidance, the fries were very bad, not edible. Another tip: start working with numbers, not by name, because they mix up the receipts, what comes in is never in order, the customers get the order.

We were always very satisfied with Pieperz, especially the first few years. The last few times were often less tasty, for example a croquette that was not warm, but then the service was at least fine. Tonight the fries were partly good and partly rock hard, as if the old fries had been reheated. After reporting this, we were supposed to get some new fries, but chatting amongst ourselves turned out to be more important to the teenagers, so it was forgotten. Reported this and all they did was shrug their shoulders. For us the last time pieperz.

Waited more than half an hour for a family bag of fries for 3 people (7.50€) When I got home the bag was half full. The kids waited so long for the fries, but this was even less than a portion of large fries…

Went here for dinner with a bachelor party. Booked in advance. The food was fine and tasty (but not very warm) despite having made a reservation because of the size of the group, it seemed that this had not been taken into account. We sat upstairs. We had to get our own drinks. And the waiting time was long before the first fries with burgers were brought. Unfortunately, there were 2 menus in 1 food container (which is used to transport food) so we had to sit close to each other to eat or tear off the lid of the container to make 2 containers. But with 2 menus already not handy. So cutting them apart in advance would have been handy. Because the food was not very warm, we went to eat anyway and did not wait for the others to eat. Only 20 minutes later another portion arrived and 10 minutes after that the menus with veggie burgers. They were in normal food containers.. the tables were not clean and the staff not really friendly or service-oriented. I also ate here regularly in the beginning with a group of friends. That was really much better in terms of service etc. Due to the long wait. Unfortunately we were 15 minutes late for our next appointment elsewhere at the Noordkade In short, the food was fine. But you won't see me here for a while. And certainly not in a group It seems that there is a lack of someone who manages the staff well so that things run smoothly.

It stinks of sewage inside. Not clean, grease and dirt everywhere. If you look up, spider webs everywhere. Fries + snacks fried in old grease. Satay also fried in a fryer. So all in all 1 star is still too much. For this money you can eat better at Jopie op het ven. Our visit was today 2/4/2025 at the Noordkade but never and never again. Big no-go that this chip shop could ever win a prize.

People in the kitchen are just on their phones, wearing jewelry and mega large earrings. Hair in a ponytail... so all the hair can still fall into the food because it falls well over the shoulders. Meatballs in JUICE are suddenly gone when your order is ready. Benches are dirty and tables are filthy I get my goulash croquette half flattened

We had dinner here and our croquette was lukewarm. The fries and the seats were not exactly fresh. After we received our order, the meatball from gravy was suddenly gone and we also asked for the money back for the meatball and we received € 0.40 too little back, which we later found out

Floris is a real Chef! Also bakes delicious, perfect fries better than the Belgians (being Belgian). There is also a lot to say about Amy, but to keep it short, she is an all-rounder! Everyone who works there is guaranteed extra pay for the hospitality and work speed they provide.

Let's start with the negatives: - About the fries fuss piri piri: there was very little sauce on it, it was not even a little spicy and scrape to taste a little sauce. Also very little chicken, small pieces of fried dry chicken. And because you have little sauce, it is very noticeable. Fries are available in large quantities; I really like these fries myself. - The tables were very dirty, even though the employees were not busy. 1 girl does; baked the orders, but another lady could have easily cleaned tables, there was still food scraps and dirt on every table. - It's a matter of taste, but we think it's a shame if a frikandel is baked already cut, which is a shame... - Drinking in glass bottles; is only a small amount and was not cold. Lukewarm cola is not tasty and you have to save money because it is so little. Pros: - The look and decoration is very nicely done. Every detail has been thought of, everything looks cool and industrial. - There is plenty of free parking - The whole atmosphere of the square and the pilot factory is very nice. - We like the fries! Apart from the small pieces (of which there turned out to be a surprising number.) - It is a convenient way of ordering with a pole; that works fine, our food was prepared right away and was ready quickly.

Mwah... I'm not really a fan of thick fries with skin, the children are not fussy eaters, but they didn't like the fries either. We sat in the tube with green upholstery/cushions. The tables were dirty and there were thick cobwebs above us. Not special, first time here due to a cinema visit. We'll drive past McDonalds next time. The hamburger that someone in our party had ordered had a sweet and clammy bun that was much too moist.

Very bad! Far too little stew, the mayo and stew were together in 1 container. So only half a cup of each. The fries were really bad! Small hard waste pieces that have already been refired a number of times. Pay a lot for poor quality.

More zest than fries. The fries also tasted as if they had already been fried. Lots of little pieces. Very unfortunate. Reported and also shown to the employee. It indicated that the wrong potatoes had been delivered. Next time it would be good. There will be no next time for us.

Here's a little friesback after our visit to Pieperz! We had the scoop of the first High Fries at Pieperz with our group of friends. The request was responded to enthusiastically and everything was considered. We were welcomed by the owner Joost, and a big shout out to Joost. He organized and arranged everything wonderfully. We got several courses of fries, each with different toppings and alternated with creative snacks such as spaghetti from frikandel special. The beer coolers were generously filled with beer that contained sea salt, which was also used for fries. The quality of the fries was really great! So it is highly recommended for everyone to experience this. Pieperz and especially Joost, thank you very much!

Had the very first High Fries. Top organised. And the service by Joost was top notch. What a passion this man has. Highly recommended.

"You have fries, and you have Pieperz. Top class fries, made from the best pies. Come, taste and enjoy." ..... it's a shame, but they cannot live up to Pieperz's above-mentioned credo. Although there were 4 staff behind the counter, after waiting fifteen minutes I finally ordered a cone of fries, 3 croquettes and a bami slice. Then we had to wait more than fifteen minutes for the order to arrive. I specifically asked for the fries to be extra well done. Unfortunately that did not work out, in fact; Because they bake the fries in 3 baskets in advance, they are sometimes left waiting to cool, but are then thrown straight into a container/bag. The customer then has lukewarm and weak fries. That doesn't happen with the snacks, so they were okay. Anyway, with the long waiting times and the poor quality, no more Pieperz for me for a while.

As a true chip and burger lover, I found these fries and burgers disappointing. The presentation and choice are good, but in terms of quality I expected more; especially the burger, which had way too much sauce (it was dripping off all sides).

Yes, a closed door at Pieperz Eerde, we were redirected to Pieperz Veghel (they are certainly open until 9:00 PM). Arrival at 8:30 PM, shutter closed and not open. Again with the door open until 9:00 PM. Disappointing experience…

A premium chip shop with passion and knowledge. I ate fries at Pieperz with my son. The staff really took the time to explain to us where these fries came from and how they were prepared. My son was even allowed to help cut the fries. You can really taste the quality in the fries and the sauce (homemade) is much tastier than the standard factory sauces.

Fries were okay but the rest was not good service fast and not tasty food so not the atmosphere so busy you can't walk side by side you are treated like a cow 🐄 very honestly worthless restaurant pieperz do something about it

Sometimes you can sit there for 20 minutes and no one comes. You can easily go behind the counter and make fries yourself. Unfortunately, the quality is critically low.

Want to score some fries? Don't come here!! We waited more than an hour. Other people who came after us got their food earlier. When we finally got our food it was not hot and we had to take it back. There was clearly no structure and, perhaps most importantly, no manager. There were children behind the counter who received no guidance. Maybe if you are the only customer you can eat here, but as soon as there are several customers inside, run away and get the jumbo fries for the air fryer.

Unfortunately, going to Pieperz is no longer possible. 2 adults and 1 child fries means a 40 minute wait and lukewarm fries. Someone from management came by... to grab himself a fries and continue. The 4 young people behind the counter were then left to their own devices with 20 orders waiting... too bad! PS: call the window cleaner!

Quality downright bad, snacks not cooked properly, together with fries just cold. Staff were talking to each other way too much, which made it take too long. In short: 'this was Pieperz good evening'.

Best fried chicken and burgers in all of Noord-Brabant. Staff always friendly and fast.

Slechte friet te hard gebakken en veel gruis, hamburger zag er niet uit en net als de schnitzel te hard gebakken. Ongeïnteresseerd personeel, vieze tafels, volle vuilnisbakken en het was niet eens druk.

Er is veel keuze. Wij hadden verschillende frietjes heisa besteld. De friet was goed en stevig met lekkere toppings. Naderhand was de softijs lekker romig. Personeel was vriendelijk.

Het personeel is erg gezellig en vriendelijk! Vooral Floris en Farbod. Echt een aanrader.
