't Braadspit in Veghel

Finally, the chicken of yesteryear is back! Today I ate another delicious half chicken at ’t Braadspit. What a delight: the familiar taste of the past is completely back! Robert told me that he uses exactly the same spice blend as Jan van Eck. “It was just lying here in the cupboard.” 😄 Apparently, mixing the spices requires great precision. After I finished the first half chicken with fries, I immediately ordered my second half chicken 😋 It is great that this true Veghel classic is back, with the original taste. For me, absolutely 10 out of 10! Robert, keep up the good work! 👏🍗

Ordered 2 half chickens; one was so dry it looked like cardboard, and the other had hardly any meat on it. A waste of money and the quality is far below par, what a shame!

Glad Braadspit is open again. The staff is friendly. The large fries really are large! Prices are fine. The chicken legs are crispy, but still lack the old-fashioned Braadspit flavor. The hot wings could have been a bit crispier, but they did have more flavor.

After 30 years! I want to state that the chicken is still the old-fashioned way! Good service, good quality!

Still with the reopening, dirty chicken. Sitting on the shelf getting tough in the warming tray. Staff were yelling at each other (wife at Robert) that he shouldn't meddle in everything. It's all stress inside, poor management of taking orders and keeping the chicken fresh. Bye. Jopie, better and more fries.

Burnt fried chicken legs are not tasty. Besides, they aren't healthy either. The fries were overcooked. No, the experience here was not okay.

Sorry, but if I were to own a snack bar/fry shop and call it a 'roasting spit', I would make sure I could at least prepare my chicken properly. After all, that is your trademark... something you are good at! But alas, at least you tried. By the way, I don't need an answer to come get a new one. But good luck with your business!

Braadspit is back in full force! 🙌 The chicken tastes just like it used to. Deliciously tender, fresh, and exactly what you hope for when you smell the aroma outside. We really missed this in Veghel! The new owner has truly brought back the quality Braadspit used to be known for. You can simply taste and feel that the familiar quality and attention to the product are completely back. We will definitely become regular customers here again! There are so few places left these days where you can eat truly fresh chicken on the spit, so we have missed this enormously. Compliments to the new owner: the trusted quality of the past has been fully restored! 👏

Everything was great, the chicken was tasty, although burnt on one side, but they only just opened, it happens.

Today, for the first time since the takeover, we got food here. Family size bag of fries for 3 people, 1 spring roll, 1 meatball in gravy, and 1 frikandel. Total €18.75. Upon arriving home, regarding the bag of fries, there were two lines on it: one for 2 people and one for 3 people. The bag was right at the line for 2 people. The spring roll was soggy and just warm inside; you don't need to blow on it. The meatball wasn't great either, although we did have some tasty ones. Very disappointing for us. We will certainly never come here again.

Unfortunately, the "first" experience after opening wasn't very good. I picked up food, and they wanted to put containers of sauce without lids in the bag. Unfortunately, the snacks were also put upside down in the bag, making a big mess with the sauce. They still need to work on the chicken; it has very little flavor.

New owner very sociable and friendly. Ordered a whole chicken and fries, well wrapped, it was warm, nothing to complain about! Definitely recommended and thank you.

Newly reopened, new owner, perfect service, delicious chicken just like it used to be. Iconic spot in Veghel certainly deserves 5/5.

If this is supposed to be a large portion I don't know what is, luckily it wasn't tasty anyway. Fries were cold and limp.

We just paid for a raw chicken leg and a dry half-chicken that was so dry you could barely swallow it. This isn't the first time this has happened; it's more common these days to get dry chicken than the chicken you used to get from Jan van Eck. They really need to do something about this! I called to inform them, and no apology, no offer of a new leg, nothing!!!! Very mediocre.

I had the half chicken with fries and mayonnaise here. It was excellent and I highly recommend it. The service was friendly and attentive.

Ordered half a rooster and found out that they had forgotten it, which has happened before. Final score cock collected was very dry and hard. Not to eat ever again!!!!

This used to be the best cafeteria in Veghel. Delicious chicken and good French fries. Although the staff is always very friendly and provides good service, the food no longer comes close to the quality it used to have... The tasty French fries have now also been replaced by standard (half limp/half cooked) fries... This was our regular address for the weekly fries, but given the price/quality we will unfortunately not be back anytime soon. Who knows, we might try again in six months. Shame!

The tables in the restaurant were dirty when we arrived. And the burger was brought to me disassembled.!!!!

Today I got food for 4 people, including a chicken burger, which has some sauce on it, I ask if I can put a different sauce on it, an extra 85 cents will be charged for that🤦🏼‍♀️ I already said, but why do I have to pay separately for that? because the price already includes sauce, but they thought differently about that, I think that's very sad! It's not about the money, it's about the principle. After us, 3 others came to place an order, all of whom left the shop earlier, I had to wait about 25 minutes for some fries and ready-made chicken, which was very dry 🤣 goodbye rotisserie until never again 🤣

We had completely planned to eat here last Sunday. It appears that the opening time has suddenly been adjusted. Tent closed. Then we had to eat somewhere else. Fortunately, they had delicious spare ribs and hamburgers here. Maybe we'll come back again.

After giving 1 star 8 years ago, you finally get a response, no, not a personal message, but a standard message that they give everyone. And what a coincidence, last week I ate so-called loaded fries twice with my wife, bizarrely expensive for what you ultimately get served. More than 8 euros per loaded fries, of which the fries were fried so hard that my teeth almost broke off. No, it's nothing and it won't be anything, really the worst cafeteria in Veghel and the surrounding area!

Too expensive and not as before

Ordered online for the first time (pick up in the cafeteria), although it cost me an extra 0.50 cents, the order was not delivered on time. It couldn't have been a good day when I entered the cafeteria. I waited at the cash register but was not spoken to. Regular customers came in, were greeted and received their orders, while I was completely ignored. Ultimately, I think my order was delivered almost 15 minutes late. What a disappointing experience.

Very tasty chicken wings. Big format. Had half a rooster with fries today. Was perfectly cooked and all but I didn't like the seasoning on the chicken. Went today March 10, 2024, but the chicken wings were not available so they are not available for the time being.

Ik had een klacht over het eten en de bezorging. Is prima opgelost.

Daar krijg ge woon kouw friet dat al ge bakken hebben

Al twee keer via Thuisbezorgd besteld en alles werd koud geleverd. Vandaag nog eens een kans gegeven. Zelf opgehaald. Conclusie: gehaktstaaf en frikandel speciaal waren koud. De friet: de helft dus gebakken was goed, de andere helft gewoon niet gebakken. Braadspit wat een teleurstelling. Kansen genoeg gehad dus voor ons in de toekomst een “no go”.

Een begrip in Veghel, gespecialiseerd in Kip van het spit en serveert franse frites. Altijd lekker en consistente kwaliteit. Tegenwoordig ook ''loaded fries" in het assortiment 👍🏽

Betaald voor een hele kip maar allen half gekregen. Dit is al de 2e keer.....

Lekker gegeten, prijzen zijn duurder maar overal stijgen ze tegenwoordig.

kip was goed, maar de smulrol was nog erg koud van binnen, en het ergste, de lianboutjes, mijn man heeft die opgegeten, hij vond het wel een aparte smaak hebben, dacht dat het zo hoorde. Ik naam 1 hap ervan, bah, die was niet goed! Bedorven. Resultaat, manlief de volgende dag flink aan de diaree en buikpijn. De eerste en laatste x voor ons bij 't Braadspit. Jammer ,is mooie zaak

Friet en snacks waren lekker, maar moest wachten op een tweede bord omdat het eerste bord koud/lauw geserveerd was. Service was verder prima, daar valt niets over te zeggen

Lekker kip echt het proberen waard om een keer te proberen

We hadden 2×halve haan besteld met frietjes en mayo. En dat hadden we ook gekregen. Voorheen voor de corona kreeg je er ook wat salade bij en die misten we nu wel erg. Voortaan gewoon erbij bestellen. Het smaakte voortreffelijk. Het ijsje na van €1.60 was wel erg klein.

Super lekker en verzorgd. Aanrader mensen, je weet niet wat je proeft, zo lekker, rij er heen, ga eten, zult geen spijt hebben/krijgen.

Best goed geregeld met alleen afhaal mogelijkheden. Bestel online dan krijg je ordernummer en dan zie je op een beeldscherm wanneer het klaar is.

Kwaliteit valt tegen. Serveren alleen dunne friet. Laatste levering was niet koud maar ook niet warm na 4 minuten na afhaal. Meerdere malen dingen vergeten en wel aangeslagen.

Je word hier op een nette manier geholpen en te woord gestaan, en door het personeel goed geholpen.

Op een maandagavond bijna anderhalf uur wachten voordat het eten bezorgd werd. Besteld om 18:31 en geleverd op 19:55 absurd! Diezelfde bezorger heeft de week daarvoor tijdens het wachten bij de voordeur een pakje met sigaretten meegenomen die buiten op de vensterbank lagen. Stond op camerabeelden maar bezorger ontkend dit. Vandaar nog maar eens een bestelling geplaatst om het de betreffende bezorger zelf even te vragen. Kwaliteit is goed, maar dat mag ook wel met prijzen die gemiddeld 10/15% hoger liggen dan van de concurrentie... vandaar nog de 2 sterren. Dit alles bij elkaar, voor ons geen braadspit meer.
