Pizzeria Verona in Wijk 00 Putten

Update December 25: Lights were made and the staff was super friendly and fast this time! I just wanted to mention it. The food (pasta) was nice and hot. I had penne gorgonzola, but I didn't really taste the gorgonzola: upon inquiry, it turned out they used a generic cheese sauce with extra gorgonzola, which I think could be better. The Parmesan and pepper were also a bit too overpowering. I doubted whether the tiramisu was actually homemade. Nevertheless: we apparently keep coming back; the restaurant is still good value for money for a quick hot meal! Update November 25: I was less enthusiastic than last time. The food was still delicious, but my pizza was already lukewarm when served. My plates weren't heated either. The table was rather dark, and two lights in the chandelier above us weren't working. How hard could they possibly be to replace them? We had to ask for the candle on the table to be lit ourselves. The service was surly (one of the two). In short: there's room for improvement, although the pasta was very good and nice and hot, and the pizza tasted good too. And the pizza wasn't too ridiculously large, which is also nice. We had delicious pasta, and the homemade tiramisu was also delicious! The restrooms could be cleaner and could use a makeover.

Verona is known for its atmosphere. And the heat is just right. Very cozy and excellent service.

Poor service, never even asked if we wanted another drink. They didn't seem particularly interested in being there.

I've only been there several times for takeout. Service varies each time, but at worst, it's just okay. The food is fine, perhaps a bit on the expensive side considering the quality, but oh well. It's a nice restaurant, but if you have trouble with dim lights and can't see clearly, bring a candle.

Super small pizza! We always go to Verona for the best pizzas, but this time, for €15 each, they were incredibly small! That's how big the Verona children's show used to be! So we were a little disappointed, but hey, it's good for the figure...

On Tuesday evening, October 14th, we had an exceptionally delicious meal. Spaghetti Bolognese and tagliatelle with chicken, spinach, and cheese, with Teramisu and pistachio ice cream as dessert, the absolute highlight, according to the waitress. The main course was served nice and hot. The lady who served us was very friendly and managed the service quickly and efficiently. It was quite busy for a Tuesday evening, so we had no problem ordering dessert ourselves. Perhaps they were a bit short-staffed; however, the restaurant's staff demand is evident from the A4 sheet of paper at the bar. The staff had to make do with what they had.

Due to a shortage of staff, food and drinks take a long time to arrive. There's not enough attention paid to you. The customer isn't king here.

We ate here last Saturday night during our weekend in Putten. We had to wait a very long time for our pizza. People who came in later got their food before us. We asked twice where our food was. They told us the kitchen was understaffed. That can happen, but because the latecomers and takeaways were served first, it all felt very chaotic. We finally got our pizzas after an hour of waiting. I have to say, the pizzas were very good. It's a shame we had to wait so long for our pizzas; I'm not sure I'll eat here again the next time I'm in Putten.

The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. It was busy for a weeknight, and the chef was the only one in the kitchen, but despite that, the quality of the food and the service were top-notch!

Disastrous service: We waited over an hour for two pizzas. Completely ignored upon entering, we had to find a table ourselves and even ask if we were even allowed to sit. The kitchen was chaotic – people were working without a plan, and then they started eating straight after smoking. Particularly unfriendly for tourists: No card payments accepted, only cash. The pizza was okay, but just standard – nothing special. A truly negative experience for us – never again.

We received a very friendly welcome late into the evening. The service was excellent. We chose delicious pizzas and pasta. All six of us enjoyed our meals. The price-quality ratio is excellent. The homemade tiramisu is definitely worth ordering.

Zie de foto voor wat hier als mozzarella wordt verkocht bij de caprese. Room door de arrabiata maakte de ervaring compleet. Fles wijn was wel goed, gelukkig.

Mediocre staff. A double espresso is €6! If someone tells you that's out of proportion, they shrug their shoulders.

We arrived on Monday for a short week at a holiday park in Putten/Veluwe. Not many restaurants were open, but Verona was. We sat on the terrace, which wasn't actually open, but we were allowed to stay and be served. The pizzas were delicious! I love pizza with seasoned ground meat; you don't find that very often. Afterwards, we had a nice chat with the owner. A group of Putten youth were also there, but we didn't experience any inconvenience. It was a positive and pleasant experience on our first evening in Putten! Thanks!

Good quality Italian cuisine, but unfriendly service, perhaps due to staff communication difficulties in English.

Just got pizzas. The calzone was very small. The pizza shoarma with extra shoarma for which €5 extra was not tasty. Pizza dough had no taste at all and the garlic sauce even less. Service friendly but also rude. Never again for us!

Kom hier al jaren, vandaag eerste x spareribs zoet. Maar saus niet smakelijk, is soort ketchupachtige saus en vrij vast vlees, in principe niet gaar.... Minimaal 1 uur gewacht. Bedienings sfeer niet echt positief. Na enkele jaren verwacht ik dat vast personeel de kassa toch wel kent. Varkenshaas daarentegen te doorbakken, niet meer mals. Helaas, want komen juist 45 minuten rijden voor de smaak. Pizza's waren tot op heden wel goed, dus kans blijft dat ik terug kom. Hopelijk dan toch een x drankje op het huis wat ons nu niet werd aangeboden. Al met al mindere ervaring helaas gehad

Bad business! When you come to pick up a pizza, you wait an hour before the pizza is finally ready. While at the time of ordering they say you only have to wait 30 minutes. You stand there for an hour in the heat (over 25°), waiting. The staff doesn't care either. You don't even get offered a drink. The pizza itself wasn't particularly tasty either, so we will never come back here!

Om 19:00 gereserveerd, leuk met Valentijn uit eten dachten we. Personeel kon de drukte niet aan dus na 30 minuten eindelijk wat te drinken gekregen (daarna nooit meer gevraagd of we wat wilden drinken). Broodje vooraf moesten we na 45 minuten alsnog om vragen en kwam toen koud en iets te donkerbruin uit de keuken. Na 55 minuten de pizza's gekregen. De quatro fromaghi had een bodem waar je doorheen kon kijken, en smaakte daardoor echt niet lekker, de fungi had een verbrande bodem. De fungi terug naar de keuken gestuurd waar ze aanboden een nieuwe te maken maar die hoefde ik niet meer. Toen kwam de rekening. Voor de quatro fromaghi volle pont moeten betalen terwijl die niet eens voor de helft op was omdat hij niet te eten was de fungi na een hele discussie voor 50% korting terwijl die ook niet opgegeten was omdat de bodem verbrand was. Dus met honger en dorst naar huis gegaan maar wel moeten betalen.

Unfortunately, our visit to Verona was very disappointing. Just started on the baguette, the pizzas arrived. The Funghi pizza had a burnt taste, we didn't eat it but we had to pay half because that's how pizza should be. The Quattro Formaggi was paper thin and looked more like a cracker than a pizza. We really expected more for an Italian restaurant. All in all not a nice experience. Too bad, because we were hoping for a pleasant evening with delicious pizzas. We don't come here anymore.

Always good! Delicious food (also takeaway) and very good service.

The cook was very willing to not charge for a meal due to the hot taste in the dish. We were supposed to receive a basket of bread in advance, but this was forgotten. The will is there, but the implementation still leaves some wishes. The finishing touches should be further crossed and the portions made a bit larger for the same money.

I had a delicious meal again tonight, I have been coming here for years and am always very satisfied with the delicious authentic pizzas. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

Rode wijn in een witte wijn glas? Er wordt niets gedaan met mijn observatie Wilt vooraf brood met kruidenboter”? Ja Graag maar dan het liefst “dat Brood met uw maaltijdsalade”. De salade komt … brood is vergeten. Moet in de oven. We zijn een half uur verder. Ik ben de enige gast om 20:00 Zucht. Ik ‘moet’ wat eten .. anders was ik weggegaan. Het eten? Aluminiumfolie wegsneden van de gesmolten kaas Gelukkig heeft het personeel veel lol met elkaar

The food here has improved greatly. Simply the best Italian from the region. The restaurant looks neat but does not necessarily invite you to sit down. We are happy to take it away!!

We have been here before when we were in Putten, but this was the last time. I don't know what happened here; it is still an attractive restaurant, but the food had hardly any taste (bland) and the service was dramatic. Things were already messy with reservations, but things weren't much better on site. Disinterested service, food almost crashed onto the table and no one was seen after the main course was served. At one point I decided to skip dessert and coffee and look for someone to pay (this also didn't go well). Leaving an uncleaned table (in an almost empty restaurant), without the opportunity to say hello (no one around), we went to the ap to get a cup of B&J and drank coffee at home. Too bad, we liked coming here.

Only recommended for German holidaymakers if they have enough cash. Card payment is NOT possible here for Germans.

A nice thing in itself. Unfortunately, the pizza and pasta ordered were quite tasteless/bland. This was also indicated at the service desk. After that we didn't see anyone at our table for a possible desert. So the service could be a little better.

Nice atmosphere, not too big, which makes it cozy. Service itself good, but forgot to bring the baguette with herb butter. It can happen, they are very friendly. The Pizzas are absolutely recommended, as is the salad. Dessert ice cream menu really great... See you next year!

It was okay. The spaghetti wasn't very special and didn't have much flavor. We wanted the tenderloin medium, but it was already well done.

Vandaag pizza besteld, afhaal. Heel dun, krakend en droog en bijna geen vulling. Wel vaker wezen eten en altijd goed. Maar bestellen is dus geen goed idee.

It seems like there are 2 different teams, good and bad. We know Verona as a nice pizza place, but tonight was just as bad. With 2 small children waiting 1:20!! And the food was really simple and well cooked. You really had to look for the luxurious ingredients on your pizza. Too bad.

Waardeloze pizza, geen smaak. Pasta carbonara het zelfde. De serveerster vroeg uit netheid wat we er van vonden, eerlijk antwoord gegeven. Ze kwam terug met de mededeling dat de chef vandaag heel veel pizza´s heeft geserveerd zonder klachten. Zit niet echt te wachten met deze mededeling. 1 tip, ga hier niet heen !

We had a delicious meal! We also received super friendly service. (The toilets can be cleaned thoroughly)

Delicious food in a cozy environment

Food was good. But I thought the payment was too expensive so I asked for the bill. And turned out to be another bill from a table behind me. I did get the difference back in cash. Good thing I asked for the bill. Although the owner found it difficult to calculate the difference in his head, so I helped him out. So neatly handled.

Really delicious food, as it should be at an Italian restaurant. Reservation was easy. The restaurant was fairly quiet, so we received a lot of good attention. The only thing that could be improved, but that is the case in many restaurants, is that the person who takes the order also remembers who ordered what. So that when the plates are delivered, you are not first asked who has what. Because the names of dishes in Italian are not easy for everyone to remember :-)

Unfortunately they forgot the spinach in the pasta with spinach. The wine was very expensive for the small amount you get. Feedback on that didn't really seem to get through.

Wij hadden ons verheugd om lekker Italiaans te gaan eten . Maar helaas viel het tegen. De lasagna was lekker. Maar de scallopino met gorgonzola, werd geserveerd op een koud bord, dus de saus was al koud, zodra het op de tafel kwam. En de saus had geen smaak. Gevraagd of ze het konden warmen, kwam het bord terug zonder saus. Personeel was vriendelijk. Er werd de hele tijd door afhaal klanten door de zaak gelopen. Dit vond ik wel storend .

Food was of excellent quality and sufficient quantity. Service quite good. Atmosphere a bit less because takeaway was through the restaurant.

It took a very long time and the food wasn't great. I asked for no lettuce on the spaghetti and got it anyway. Then I received new ones, but the bolognese sauce contained too many chili peppers.

Very tasty food and very attentive and friendly service. The portion sizes are excellent. If you have to mention one point for improvement, it is that the chairs are very high in relation to the tables, which means that seating comfort is not optimal. We will definitely come back here!!

Tip from the B&B. Tuesday evening was quiet in the restaurant. The chicken with cheese sauce is recommended. Finally another homemade Tiramisu. And there are so many other goodies on the menu.....

Friendly welcome. Pizza was good, lasagna cold. Staff did not ask during the meal whether everything was satisfactory or during payment. Not to be repeated.

Choose from many flavors of pizzas. I really like the pizza calzone. This one is well stocked. You can sit inside, but there is also a terrace. Friendly staff and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. The disadvantage is that the toilet is downstairs, for people who cannot descend the stairs.

Dastaat provides a fantastic ambiance in combination with delicious cuisine. Recommended. The pizzas are just like in Italy. The spare ribs are soft and melt in your mouth with a delicious sweet marinade. The pastas fresh and nutritious.

That did not go well. Got four pizzas on 19-08-2023. Dry, and very sparingly invested. Not what I was used to from Verona! It's time to exchange my regular pizzeria for another one.

Tasty pizza and friendly service. Bread in advance looks more like baked pizza crusts/pta in cut triangles. It's also a shame that if you want to change 1 vegetable topping to another type of vegetable, you have to pay extra as if it were extra. A glass of wine that is not very special is relatively expensive (€5). You would rather expect that in the Randstad. Therefore 3 instead of 4 stars.

Verona in Putten is a really good pizzeria. The pizzas were delicious. Like many other catering establishments, they are experiencing a staff shortage and this was noticeable in the service. When we arrived sometime between 7pm and 7:30pm it was incredibly busy (and often where it's busy is a good thing). And that on a Monday evening. Moreover, we heard many other languages. Would Verona be in the Lonely Planet?

Our visit here was a very nice surprise! Very friendly service and excellent food. The pizza is fantastic and the pasta is also very good. And it’s one of the few restaurants in Putten that is open after 9pm. We will definitely be back! :-)

We were able to come in here last minute with 7 people to eat. The welcome and service were friendly, the pizzas and pastas were excellent. Neat tent inside, parking around the corner.

Pizzaria Verona, as far as we are concerned, nothing wrong with it, delicious food, we ordered pizza and it was very tasty, nice girls/women in the service, the restaurant looks neat and has good chairs. So definitely worth it. To be repeated.

Over-priced Italian eatery, wouldn't recommend. Paid as much, if not more, than a traditional trattoria in Amsterdam. The carbonara was bland and tasteless. Had to wait almost 30min before the order was taken, another 45min before the meals appeared.
