We’ve been visiting Nanbu for quite some time now, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve enjoyed their fantastic sushi. What truly amazes me is how consistent the quality has been over the years — it’s safe to say Nanbu remains one of the best sushi spots in town. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the sushi? Always fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with flavor. It’s not just the food that keeps us coming back, though. The owner is a true gentleman — friendly, passionate about what he does, and it turns out we even share the same taste not only in sushi but also in watches! 😉 If you’re a sushi lover or simply appreciate quality and great service, I highly recommend giving Nanbu a try. It deserves all the praise it gets!

Most authentic, affordable and delicious sushi I’ve had (yes, it does not have to be 100-150€ omakase sushi…) in the Netherlands so far. I cannot recommend enough the tuna, especially the chuutoro and ootoro, which is quite difficult to find usually. I’ve tried most of the options on the menu and all of them were of solid quality. The rice is perfectly seasoned the way we like it, firm enough, and the fish is definitely oh so fresh. We were all very content to be able to find food that was on par with the one we’d casually eat in Japan, and definitely come back quite often to this spot. Decor is nice and elegant, without trying to be pretentious. Never had an issue with the staff who is reactive and polite. The place is pretty popular but I never struggled to find a seat or table, whether alone or with multiple people. The matcha and houjicha also happen to be some of the best and most generous I can find in the country, even if the star of the show definitely is the sushi.

The counter girl was incredibly rude. She couldn't give me any information on the phone, and I found it strange that I asked what a particular sauce was. She couldn't explain it further either. Then she said, "You can pick it up in 5 minutes," and I had to wait 20 minutes there. I asked, "Why do you say 5 minutes on the phone?" She started acting strangely towards me. The food was okay, but the portions were really small. I definitely won't be back.

I've eaten it several times, and both adults and children love it. The grilled salmon sushi, fried shrimp sushi rolls, fried dumplings, fried shrimp, and fried chicken are all delicious
