Atmosphere was nice and staff as well, however I can’t say the food was very good. It was not bad, but neither tasty, especially for the price.

The decor is a bit over-the-top, supposedly Mexican. It does create a nice atmosphere, though. Friendly service. The cocktails are excellent (though pricey for what they offer). The Patates Brava appetizer was good, but the jalapeno poppers were fried too long, and all the cheese was gone. The main course was wrong. I was given the wrong table. After receiving the correct order, it was a bit disappointing: a 3 🌮 with pulled beef and fajitas, also with pulled beef. A bit bland and dry. Then, at checkout, there was an error on the bill of €18. This was settled in cash. I don't think I'll be back.

The food was mediocre and it was very noisy.

The El Diablo cocktail was special and delicious, as were the veggie enchiladas. I've eaten here several times and every time, the service is top-notch and the Mexican cuisine is truly delicious. And the decor is truly breathtaking.

A great experience at this restaurant. Lovers of authentic Mexican cuisine will experience the ultimate here. Charming decor and ambiance. The menu has clearly been carefully selected. The drink selection is also more than excellent. Hospitality and expertise are the key words here. A piece of Mexico in the Burgundian Brabant city of Breda. A visit to this acclaimed venue is therefore highly recommended. The unique name is a real find!

Never had such a bad meal! We booked a group party, and some people didn't even eat the food, it was so bad. The soup and tacos were absolutely the worst. The service was excruciatingly slow, and at 9 PM the heat was turned down, so we were stuck in a large, cold room from 10 PM onward. And all this for an absolute fortune. My advice: don't go here!!!!

Really taste food except the dessert tres leches it doesn't compare to a real one. It was super dry.

We went to this Mexican restaurant for dinner through a Social Deal. Booking went very smoothly. We received excellent service. The food was delicious. The atmosphere, with the streamers and decorations in the restaurant, made it very cozy.

Everything was delicious: the chips with salsa, the appetizer, the main course, and the dessert! The portions were generous and tasty. The service was friendly. It's a pleasant place to dine.

Great place! Great atmosphere and good service, the food is delicious, albeit a bit pricey. And unfortunately, (almost) everything has cilantro in it, so if you don't like it, I recommend letting them know in advance.

The food was good, highly recommended. However, the wait was very long (read: at least an hour between the starter and the main course), and the service was friendly and helpful, but unfortunately also rather inattentive. Incidentally, the restaurant wasn't full.

Really good atmosphere, nicely decorated. The tacos were really nice, but the burrito was a bit dry. The cocktails were nice.

The food was good, except I ordered a rare picanha and it came out closer to congratulations than to well done. The taste was good and it was still juicy, but it could have been better. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she told me the cheff said that the picanha would only be good like this. That's simply not true and if it was, why even ask me what doneness I prefer? Other than that the food was good, service was good and the atmosphere was great.

Popocatepetl certainly thought that if we made the food salty enough, they would also order enough drinks. My two appetizers were incredibly salty, which was a shame because I didn't enjoy them at all. I did get a bowl of greens as compensation, but it was also incredibly salty. I don't know what they do in the kitchen, but not everyone likes salt. The service was good, but I won't be back this way.

Very good mexican food. Tasty and good size on portion. We were there on a tuesday with not so many people and they closed early. Good service! Not cheap but not expensive either.

Good food and friendly service for years

Last night (01-04) I had a delicious meal with my girlfriend. We had not made a reservation, but we were able to stay. In addition to the delicious food, kudos to the 3 employees who managed to operate a full restaurant inside, an outside terrace and a bar. One of the ladies indicated at the end that they "thought they could handle it with the three of them despite being understaffed". And that certainly worked! Thank you for the wonderful evening.

Good food but a bit of a long wait due to crowds

Deze plek is geweldig voor een gezellig diner met een Mexicaanse twist. Het restaurant heeft een gezellige sfeer en het personeel is erg spontaan en gezellig. Misschien zijn de posities een beetje groot, wat het alleen maar leuker maakte. Zeker aan aanrader!

Waiting way too long for your food... then saying no more time for dessert...

We hebben hier 2 jaar geleden een keer gegeten naar volle tevredenheid en vandaag weer een bezoek gebracht.Wat een teleurstelling!! Burrito leek wel zompige lasagne, slap en gedrenkt in zure room.Als toetje churros met chocoladesaus...chocolademelk leek het en churros moddervet en keihard.Toen we dit aan de bediening doorgeven werd er laconiek gereageerd met de boodschap dat ze te lang in het vet hadden gelegen.Geen excuses. Laatste keer hier gegeten!! Nooit meer!

Heerlijk buiten op het terras een Mexicaanse maaltijd genoten. Het eten was goed van kwaliteit en het bier was koel wat wil je nog meer op een warme dag.

What delicious food and, above all, what an attentive and sweet staff!

A star. What a bad evening this was. Mediocre reception. Service was very distant all evening. Menu and table were sticky with dirt. Ordered a platter with various starters together. So a warmed up chicken wing, calamari, some jackfruit, an overload of nacho chips and a loaf of guacamole that tasted absolutely nothing. As a main course, three tortillas with minced meat filling topped with tomato sauce and a dollop of sour cream. It was downright filthy. The minced meat was bone dry and tasted stale. We stopped eating after a few bites. Absolutely nothing had been done with that minced meat. And for dessert we had the churros. They were dripping with grease. We left that one too. Definitely the last time we spend our money here. Waste of money. The heyday here is clearly a thing of the past.

My dish was fantastic. Too bad the pan was so hot. However, I was warned. I burned my finger when I tried to push the pan away from me. Let it cool for 1 or 2 minutes before serving would be my recommendation. Combined with the warning, of course

Have eaten at this restaurant several times. They have the time and space for you and your wishes. A little extra thinking time is no problem and they will be back on time, so you won't have to wait long. We especially loved the food! Beforehand you will receive homemade nachos with a house tomato dip, a delicious starter! The atmosphere in the restaurant is also pleasant and the service is friendly, respectful and patient. You are drawn into the atmosphere of Mexico, the restaurant is decorated with all kinds of nice attributes surrounding the country and culture. I would recommend Popocatepetl to everyone! And tip to order the Pornstar Martini, absolute favorite.

Centraal gelegen aan het kerkplein. Gevarieerd menu met de typische Mexicaanse gerechten. Onze fajitas en burrito’s waren erg lekker. Gezellige inrichting, vriendelijk personeel. Mijn cocktail was…verrassend.

I know it's nice here. Came to eat something on my own (didn't make a reservation). After waiting 5 minutes without any employees contacting us, we went to eat elsewhere No doubt it wasn't meant that way, normally it's fine here!

The taste of the dish was very disappointed, I order Mexican mix grill and very sad that doesn't look like anything for Mexican dish, I won't recommend to go there if they want to try Mexican food. Very very disappointed.

I had dinner here with 2 others on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious. It was also very fast, and the service was friendly. Tender chicken and tasty dishes. Nice decor which also creates atmosphere. Definitely recommended for those who want something different than a standard restaurant.

Breda is certainly a beautiful city to visit. It is pleasantly busy here. Good reception. To book. Good food. Just enough portion. A compliment to the lady who saw that we wanted privacy. She gave us a table for 2 by the window. Paid with VVV gift voucher. That's not possible everywhere. Worth to visit.

We spent 45 minutes on the starter and 2 hours on the main course. That also came in pieces and was recorded incorrectly. Had to ask twice where the food was, just didn't respond and dared to ask at the cash register if everything was to your liking. Received the last drink on the premises as compensation Well. So that became the 3 coffees. The other 3 cocktails were too expensive to give away. 260 euros deducted. Far too small portions for far too much money and noise. Not recommended

Via Social Deal had ik een 3-gangenmenu met nacho's geboekt voor nog geen €25,- per persoon. Daar kwamen nog wel drankjes bij maar dan nog het een topdeal. Er was genoeg keuze, de porties waren ruim en zeer smakelijk. De mensen waren vriendelijk en het was er gezellig, zij het wel lawaaiig maar dat heb je als het druk is. Wij vonden het zeer geslaagd.

Had a lovely meal outside with jazz music in the background. Jasper Jr helped us fantastically with making choices from the menu. He was friendly, sociable, hospitable and very capable. He knew what he was talking about. He is truly an asset to popo! The food was delicious, the spareribs were delicious! Meat was tender and soft. Highly recommended!

The food is superb. However, the food did not arrive on the table at the same time. Not until 10 minutes later. Everyone also enjoyed dessert. When the last pass got it. So timing could be better.

4.5 stars! We very much enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere is very nice and interesting. It gives children a lot to look at while waiting for their meal. The menu was great, and it had a lot of vegan options. While the service was a bit slow, we were greeted in a friendly way and chips and salsa were brought to our table short after we were seated. The classic margarita was delicious as well as the guacamole. The vegan food was good, a bit salty, but still tasty. Our child was also able to get a veganized version of a dish from the kid’s menu, thanks to our knowledgeable and helpful server. If going for Mexican in Breda, this restaurant would be my top recommendation, and we will definitely be coming back.

Recently ordered food via Thuisbezorgd. The delivery was certainly on time, but the food itself was so so. The fried avocado wedges and jalapeños were quite tasteless. I also found the portions very meager. The enchiladas with “spicy” salsa verde were not spicy at all, but the hamburguesa was tasty. There was enough sauce with the order, and the food was still warm when delivered. However, we won't be ordering anything from here again anytime soon.

Food was delicious. Very tasty meal in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Excellent portions. Fajitas with beef tenderloin very good and also enchiladas. Really had to wait a bit long. Presumably due to crowds (we understand), but the bill also took some time. We will definitely come back again.

Trendy restaurant where many young people < 30 yrs. come to eat. Well, they are noisy and you have to be able to handle that. The service is very friendly and the food is excellent. We ate a delicious hamburger with fries, a bit on the salty side, but we still enjoyed it with some drinks. All in all a cozy tent and a nice evening with 3 courses with a Social Deal.

I ordered enchilada, calamari, and chips. The calamari and enchiladas were delicious. I regret buying the chips, they were plain and stale.

Eten was lekker, maar best vet. Weinig plaats om je tortilla te maken. Bord erbij zou handig zijn. De Temperanillo was goed, maar wel erg weinig in 't glas voor her bedrag wat je moet aftikken. Vandaar 4 ipv 5. Personeel is top!

Nice place, very good service! My family and I went for dinner. Since the place isn't too big it's better to make reservations to ensure you get a table. The food and the ambiance can transport you to Mexico. I totally recommend this place if you're ever in Breda or nearby.
