Tortillas in Breda centrum

I took advantage of a social deal. A 5-course meal for €26.50 (excluding drinks) included soup, nachos, a frozen mojito, two soft tacos (with a choice of fillings), and a dessert of small Mexican treats with coffee or tea (another option was vanilla ice cream with apple compote). I'd never been here before, so this was a great way to sample different dishes for a reasonable price. Based on this, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had the special Latin Lunch with small bites. Food was great and with unlimited tea. Ambiance is cosy and very latin-like. Situated just at the Grote Markt. Price-value suits the venue.

We went with a group of seven people and sat outside. Just before we were about to leave, an acquaintance of ours came by to say hello. She had her eight-year-old daughter with her. The girl was eating fries from somewhere else, and because she was tired, she sat down. Suddenly, our waitress came over and started yelling, "Only our food is allowed on the table. You're not allowed to have food from anywhere else." We had already finished our meal, had spent several hundred euros on food and drinks, and then we were treated like this. The girl was so frightened that she started crying. A good restaurant understands that good service and friendliness are just as important as the quality of the food.

The food is delicious, hard working people the owner runs and rushes through the business, gives me a bit of an uneasy feeling. The business could use a good cleaning.

We had three delicious cocktails with a drinks menu through Social Deals. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Highly recommended. Dietary requirements and allergies were also well taken into account.

Food was absolutely terrible. As a texas native, i found the “Mexican” food insulting. I am a cook myself, specializing in Tex-Mex food at another establishment, and I would be ashamed if something like I received came out of out of our kitchen. I also want to note that I have never ever ever complained or sent food back at any restaurant before this. I will give huge props to the staff for handling my complaint and issuing a refund without hesitation. They were fairly friendly.

It was our worst experience in Tortillas. There was hair inside of the food and we asked for a refund or would be happy to pay half. One waiter was very polite and said it's unacceptable to find hair inside of our food and then other waiter came across and said that we have to pay for it, that we must have put hair inside of our food,which is absolutely disgusting accusation! He was very rude and discriminative towards English people! (He said he is an owner and a chef) . Avoid that place if you don't want to get embarrassed!

Don’t go to this place. Today I ordered myself some coffee and as i was drinking it i noticed there was something inside. I don’t know what this is but it is absolutely disturbing to find this in your cup. When i reported this to the staff, asking for a refund, they outright refused no matter what i told them. I was forced to pay. This is probably the worst experience i’ve had in a long time.

Friendly staff, service is good, you can just have a chat here. nice atmospheric music. Music is pleasant & atmospheric. And not even crazy prices. Great here!

Service is friendly but they grab ice cubes with their bare hands, sit on their phones and eat in full view of customers. The dishes seemed to come from the microwave/oven. Spareribs were more bone than meat, fries tasted like old frying fat. Enchilades monotonous taste. Never before have I eaten so expensively for such substandard food.

Never go there! An expensive Virgin cocktail is filled for more than 80% with crushed water and when I ask if it can be done with less ice (after all, no alcohol), the manager immediately comes to our table with the message: 'YOU just have to pay for that cocktail. !' After all, I asked if there could be less ice because the ratio is simply skewed (it would have been better to order a normal soft drink for less than half the amount and certainly 3-4 times more content!). Then I get another rude response that I 'reserved via social deal and that I already pay a lower price'. Do I pay the normal full price for the drinks? Moreover, I pay a lot more via social deal for a package, while normal guests often only go for 1-2 courses instead of 5, and social deal also fills your empty seats on a Saturday evening that is still half empty around dinner time, very clear why this tent is so empty if you treat your guests like this! By the way, all the other (young) staff were very friendly, but this blonde waiter should really choose another profession, he is destroying this place and is really embarrassing! He 'has been working in the catering industry for 16 years and knows how to make cocktails', simply puts words in your mouth as a guest that have never been said and addresses everyone who is a guest as YOU and YOU, even with our clear age difference. Respect is really lacking on all sides. Save yourself an unpleasant evening with a seriously unprofessional and smart-aleck catering manager! Toilets also really deserve attention in terms of hygiene and innovation.

We had bought a Social Deal and so went to this Mexican for high tea. Starter a tomato soup, main course a tapas plate with a kind of bitterbal, 2 different wraps, baguette with chorizo ​​and a bowl of nachos. Dessert consisted of a plate of ice cream, churros and melon. Thought it was good food for the Social deal price, but not exceptional. The food was not very hot, which was a shame. Staff was friendly, some speak English. The restaurant (and toilets) is not very clean and is very dated. Could use some freshening up, after all, the eye wants something too!

Have enjoyed coming here to eat with friends for years. Always fun, and the food is just like in Mexico! Went again last week and as always everything was great! Staff is fast and friendly! Highly recommended! My personal favorite is enchiladas with minced meat.

Downright bad! Not worth repeating. Tapas menu consisting of nachos, lukewarm spareribs without sauce, a wrap with something indefinable (probably from a can), calamari, fries... in short, everything that has nothing to do with Tapas. Music too loud, so we couldn't hear each other. And to top it all off...poorly instructed staff (young guys) who completely ignored us. Flute flute and more flute? Too much money for bad food and a ruined evening of what should have been a party. Not recommended.

Tortillas is a great Mexican restaurant. The staff is friendly and helps you well. The food tastes delicious and is always freshly prepared. The quesadillas, burritos and guacamole are really tasty. The restaurant is nicely decorated and feels warm. Tortillas is the perfect place for a nice Mexican meal!

An amazing little mexican restaurant with some very nice dishes, me and my girlfriend had the tapas menu which contained so many little dishes for a perfect price. We were also pleasantly suprised by the young but hardworking servers. We are definitely coming back!

Delicious mexican restaurant in great location, helpful and polite staff

When the waitress asked if everything was okay, we told the waitress that the wine was not good. We spoke English and made a funny comment that WE would never serve this wine to a customer. Unfortunately, the sweet young waitress did not take this comment well and, contrary to our intention, was shocked. The manager came to ask for a story and was extremely unfriendly and kept explaining that it was fine wine and kept ranting. He then made a racist comment. We wanted to end this situation asap and pay and the manager kept going. When we left the terrace he wished me 'good luck with your friend'. Unnecessarily insulting and embarrassing for this beautiful city.

To get straight to the point, Worst restaurant we have ever eaten at. We went for the 3 course menu for 9 people. We have stated this several times. Afterwards we receive the bill for all dishes. Indicated this and the owner did not want to know anything about it. Just pay the full price. 2 dishes on the bill that were not ours. Received 3 burgers without sauce "sorry forgot" And we had to pay for dishes that were not ours because the owner thought we had had them. (Of course not paid) The owner is nothing short of a jellyfish. The food was bad with no taste and dry. However, the waitstaff was very friendly. But I don't have a good word to say about the owner.

Although you wouldn't expect more than a semi-fast food joint for this price, even that was far too positive a description. We opted for the 3 course menu. The main course was tastier than white rice at the Chinese takeaway (rice was also about the only thing in my burrito, without sauce). In addition, with my nut and peanut allergy, I was the only guest in the restaurant served a dessert with almond shavings. . The lady serving ate it next to me while I waited for a new dessert. Then no decent apology or discount or drink or anything. If I could select 0 stars I would have.

Had ordered two discount menus, but after an hour of waiting we decided to leave! The drinks arrived, but after an hour the food still didn't arrive! Very bad.

Ate here on King's Day. It's been a few years since we've been here. Dishes are fine and tasty. What you can expect from it. Staff were nice and friendly. Definitely worth repeating.

Bad service You should put your empty glass or your plates on the corner of the table. Then the staff knows that you are ready. And that we don't understand it... have been here for 16 years. No one has ever complained. Food here is fine. Not fresh by the way. That's not possible, then I have to go to the bakery every day. It was a bald burger. (they forgot sauce, but okay, I got it later) And you pay top price for that. The same manager then walks with a plate in his hands licking his fingers, then takes the plate to his other hand and licks his fingers there too. In any case, we will never come here again

I first ordered a caipirinha, it was really poorly made, almost insulting. Waiter decided to make one himself and it was better. But then I ordered ribs and those things were taaaaaiii. Literally couldn't take bones apart, that meat was like rubber. Then the manager has the nerve to call this GLOW RIBS after something was said about it, "that's how they are and that's how they should be. If you had asked in advance we could have explained it to you," says the manager. What a flapper! For that reason alone, he would never return, he could have done it very differently, but hospitality is foreign to him.

No reservation needed and we could choose our own spot. Received excellent help from the girl at the counter. Special wishes could be arranged in no time. Food is of excellent quality and large portions. The Los Gigantos in particular is only intended for large meat eaters.

For a Mexican restaurant which outside advertises tapas there are surprisingly few tapas dishes. Otherwise a cosy place.

This was the first but not the last time when we are here! We tried the groepsmenu but we didn’t expect the portion/portions. Literally, we’ve been already full with the first round. Thank you!

Food is okay. But service is quite slow. We have waited 45 mins for just soap. 1.5 hour for main dishes.

Gister samen met mijn man bij tortilla’s gegeten en het was boven mijn verwachtingen! Het eten was lekker en de bediening was gezellig en aardig. De sfeer in het restaurant was ook echt gezellig met de kerstverlichting en de Mexicaanse stijl. Zeker weten dat ik terug kom!

Lekker eten, vriendelijke bediening.

Goede ervaring. We gingen er skeptisch heen ivm de laatste negatieve recensies. Maar het viel reuze mee! Eten was prima, wel erg grote porties! Dus eet niet te veel van te voren. Bediening is Engelstalig. Sfeer was ook prima.

Bij binnenkomst geen Goede avond maar een streng heeft u gereserveerd? Maar dat kwam denk ik door de zenuwen van de zeer jonge bediening. Restaurant doet gezellig aan maar vrij donker. We waren met 2 en een baby. Bediening was zeer attent door ons te zeggen dat naast ons een groep van 12 zou komen en we zodra het kon een andere rustigere tafel zouden krijgen. Het personeel in de keuken was zeer luidruchtig en ook erg jong. 4 gangen menu begonnen met tomaten soep die matig was, erg zout en deed eerder denken aan groentebouillon. Tweede gerecht was een bord koude tortillachips met wat saus ergens onder, ook matig. Derde gerecht was een mojito die helaas ook matig was. Vierde gerecht waren wraps met kip en groenten, soort frietjes en salade. Die waren wel lekker maar niet om te zeggen daar kom ik voor terug. 2 cappuccino na met 4 zoetigheden. Wat moet ik hier nu over zeggen. Ik denk dat het misschien aan de avond lag maar er was niks speciaals aan. Matig eten voor een redelijk hoge prijs. Had ook nog de inktvis ringen genomen maar die waren het minst. De jonge bediening doet goed hun best, wat kun je meer verwachten van 16 -17 jarigen. Kindermenu is zeer klein en helaas was ook dat matig. Kan er niet meer van maken.

Lekker en top bediening, komen altijd terug en de hond is ook welkom

Het ging veel te snel om lekker uit eten te zijn. Verder goed.

Heel lekker gegeten en een super aardige bediening met veel enthousiasme over hetgeen ze serveren!

Een keuzememu van €28,50 waar bijna bij elk gerecht wel een toeslag was. Voorgerecht enchilada’s was heel lekker. Vis fajitas (+ €3,50) vielen tegen. De tortilla’s lagen op een koud bord en niet in een warmhouddoosje. De vis en groenten waren niet echt gekruid en had ik liever warm in een pannetje gekregen. Zelfde gold voor de vegetarische versie. Nagerecht koffie met 3 taaie koekjes (+ €1) churros waren aardig, Dame Blanca was prima. Overigens bij betaling kregen we alleen eindbedrag te horen en geen rekening, nou zal het wel kloppen, maar toch hoort het niet zo.

Goed gegeten voor een goede prijs. Bestelling was wel verkeerd doorgekomen maar werd weer snel gecorrigeerd. Gezellige omgeving, snel geholpen en vriendelijk personeel.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten (klein menu). De bediening was vriendelijk en de sfeer prima. I.v.m. het weer binnen gezeten, maar met de grote ramen open gaf dit toch een beetje het buitengevel.

Heerlijk gegeten samen met mijn dochter. Nacho’s en Enchiladas en een grand dessert. Voldoende vegie opties. Service mag iets vlotter was echt niet druk.

We werden super verrast met 4 heerlijke Dining City Mexicaanse gerechtjes met als extra een spoom tussendrankje, in een gezellig restaurant met vriendelijke personeel. Al met al een aanrader en om nog een keer terug te komen!

The location was great and the menu looked good. We got a great table by the open windows overlooking the square because it was a bit too windy outside to eat comfortably. The food was flavourful, but: - The rice was very underdone. Nearly unforgivable for a Mexican place - the portion of grilled veggies, ostensibly the core ingredient in the vegetarian fajitas, was so small it wasn’t initially clearly visible among the garnishes. Whilst we were deciding whether to mention these issues to the waiter, he started loudly arguing with a patron at their table about a small detail of their order (chips vs tortillas as the accompaniment to their 16€+ main dish, I think). After a couple minutes the waiter inside began a loud discussion at the bar with the other waiter about this customer and how bad they were for asking for a replacement accompaniment. Admittedly we are American, but polite Americans, and this _wasn't_ a case of "the customer is always right", it was simply rude service. It was great to see a potential good Mexican place in the south of NL, but Tortillas should work on their food quality and waitstaff attitude if they want to live up to the potential.

Wij vinden het super. Er was iets fout gegaan in de keuken mbt een ingrediënt en het werd gelijk geregeld en opnieuw geserveerd!
