What a fantastic restaurant! Lovely atmosphere, a lovely owner, and of course, delicious food. You always feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

A restaurant may well have its charms, but if the first impression is a dead phone line, it rather knocks the confidence. When a number is listed for contact, one expects at the very least a voicemail or a clear message of closure — not silence. The explanation offered afterwards (“day off, big party, phone off”) only underlines the point: if that is the standard of communication, what hope for the service when one finally sits at the table? Two stars remain generous, and only because the benefit of the doubt still applies.

Just had the snacks and Thom Ka Kai this time - so like spring rolls, 2 kinds of sate, fish cookies etc. Everything delicious, made with attention, sauces very good, looking nice too, sweet people serving and in the open kitchen - only things to like here.

Cozy place in the center of Zaltbommel. Good food but especially friendly and attentive service from the 2 young ladies in the store.

Fantastic meal. Nice that you can combine two half dishes without additional costs. Great service by two young ladies, just a shame that they are not allowed to offer tap water. Not even for payment. Really out of date.

Delicious food. The 4 course meat mix menu, see attached photos. Highly recommended. Atmosphere is good. Friendly and enthusiastic service. One point of interest. If you sit near the kitchen you may experience some drafts. This is less pleasant in colder weather. Despite that, this restaurant is definitely recommended.

One of the best restaurants so far! Delicious Thai food with traditional dishes. Explained at the table by the friendly chef. The table is cleaned after each dish and served with care by staff. Everyone super nice and helpful. Extremely tasty soup as the 2nd course of the four. Recommended!!!

We are moored in Maasbommel with our boat and were in Zaltbommel for the first time. We received a very warm welcome (8 stars), the atmosphere is very cozy (5 stars) and the food was outstanding (8 stars). We really enjoyed eating here and will certainly come back. 👍👍👍

Nice Thai restaurant. I thought the plank was very nice and tasty. The red curry and the papaya salad were my favorites.

I was at this restaurant 2 Saturdays ago with family members. We received fantastic help from an enthusiastic lady, with extensive serving experience and a fantastic appearance. This appearance was also reflected in the other cheerful serving ladies brigade. We only had drinks here and as a surprise we received a surprise board with a green leaf with surprising parts. After ingestion, this package falls apart and surprises the taste buds one by one. The owner told me that Thai cuisine, like a computer program, must be followed to the letter; to prepare the best tasty dish for you as a guest. Requires an encore for me.

Very tasty meal! Especially the option to choose 2 half main courses instead of... 1 is nice/nice so that it is kind of like Thai tapas! Tapas starter also highly recommended!!

Always delicious and atmospheric food at Poysian. With very friendly and sweet service. The only downside is that they leave.

Delicious authentic dishes. A view of the kitchen makes it very animated. Female staff are very attentive, the male staff can also take orders while standing.

Had a great meal at this restaurant. The service is perfect. Good explanation at the table regarding the food and what is possible. The tip to order different main courses and share them was also great. We enjoyed. Food was great and we will definitely come back. I don't understand anything about the 1-star reviews I read. You may not like something, but I think giving it a 1 star is a bad thing. People are not aware of what this does to business owners. Fortunately, 98% is positive and that is well deserved.

Posian, a small cozy restaurant where you can eat very well at home. For a nice reasonable price. And highly recommended. And not at all spicy. These are special dishes that you can request. They started as a living room restaurant in Heerewaarden. And now in Zaltbommel. Really great

What a beautiful thing. Not large, so reservations are recommended. Case is very cozy. Downstairs is the (open) kitchen, upstairs there are a few tables, the bar and toilets. Ate here with a group of 10. Various dishes may be shared (3 courses). The dishes look well cared for. Starters were served on a board. The chef came every round to tell us what was being served. The taste was certainly good too! Something for everyone. From not spicy to very hot (on special request). Only point for improvement: we were seated near the entrance, which is where quite cold air sometimes comes from despite the hall created.

What can I say... Curry was not creamy and more like pasta water. I understand that you don't have much choice in Bommel, but do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere, anywhere.

Poysian, the chef, went out of their way to accommodate us last minute. One of our party of two has intolerance for milk and wheat, but it was no problem. We had a seat right next to the (semi open) kitchen and it was great to watch her at work, producing fantastic food. Extremely friendly service and accommodating, great food. Quality over quantity! We are from a neighboring city, 20 minutes away, but we will for sure make that trip more often now. Absolutely loved it!

Had a delicious meal in this new restaurant in Zaltbommel. It is small-scale with a pleasant atmosphere and an open kitchen. We had the menu combination fish & meat, delicious dishes, beautifully served by chef(s) with explanations about the dishes and, importantly, it is absolutely very tasty. An asset to the city and highly recommended!

Super nice people and really fresh creative Thai food. Not just a large menu with the regular dishes, but a small tapas-style menu with delicious dishes. Not a huge amount of vegetarian choice, but what is there is delicious and this cook is so good that I think you can adjust a few things with friendly questions. Highly recommended.

Incredibly delicious food! Poysian prepares delicious authentic dishes with very refined flavors. We enjoyed the Kai Pad with Mamuang and Paneng curry and the tasty snacks alongside it. There is a nice, personal atmosphere in the newly renovated restaurant. We will definitely come back again!

Delicious food during the try out of Poysian Thai Restaurant. As always in Heerewaarden. Beautifully renovated building in the heart of Zaltbommel! Cozy with six people at a large oval table. Many different dishes on the table, 4 courses and then an appetizer beforehand. Fantastic! We'll be back soon.
