What a grumpy woman behind the bar. And I got a really sore ear because she couldn't handle a tank of nitrous oxide. That thing was so loud my ear is still sore and ringing a day later. You can't pay by card, even a tenner can be a problem, and besides beer, they only sell hard liquor and cola. At the bar, everyone was acting like idiots because of those balloons. They were vulgar types chasing my partner. Gamblers. Not my cup of tea.

For some reason, I don't have a good relationship with La Place. The soup wasn't great, and neither were the sandwiches. Both in terms of selection and presentation. Waiting at the counter for a meal to be ready isn't my thing either. I prefer to wait at a table.

Breedstraat 48Lately we have been going to play jeu de boules at Schaaf halls. Super fun and then a bite to eat. There are also nice beers on tap. Highly recommended in Leeuwarden
