Fresh fries? Absolutely not. Absolutely tasteless. Very poor quality! And they advertise fresh fries. That is a complete joke. A one-time thing for us, unfortunately.

Especially when it comes to allergies, they know exactly what they are doing. Super service and always delicious food.

Unfortunately, I had two unpleasant, unfriendly experiences and will never go back. White Dutch customers are no problem. Someone with a darker complexion immediately sets off all the alarm bells. I can still picture it: a chef staring at me as if he'd never seen an immigrant, forgetting that he's Chinese himself. Sadly, I have to post this review because it still hurts me to this day. The food was decent, but I won't be back. I've been happily coming to De Kavelaars for years and never felt like an outsider. The previous owner of this place was a great guy and often chatted. Unfortunately, times change.

Definitely recommended! We were passing through and were looking for something close to the highway, so we went here based on the reviews. Was a good choice! Food was tasty, tender and ready quickly. Free parking space next to it. The staff was friendly, packing my leftovers into a to-go container for the rest of our trip.

If you want delicious Chinese/Indonesian food, this is the place for you, very hospitable owner. Nasi or noodles where you finally have the feeling that no expense has been spared on vegetables and ham, something different from a few peas and crumbs of ham that you have to look for with a magnifying glass. The hot chicken is also highly recommended, nice and spicy with homemade sambal. It remains a restaria so don't expect too much from the interior.
