The food was delicious, and vegetarian options were good. However, as a meat eater, you wouldn't expect a vegetarian dish for the first course, no matter how delicious it was.

What a FANTASTIC restaurant! We had a four-course dinner with a wine pairing. The food was perfect and of a high standard. The carefully selected wine was also a perfect match with the four courses. The service was SUPERB. Very friendly and very informative about the food and wine pairing. Truly a TOP restaurant.

The whole experience was wonderful. The appetizers and bread were delicious. We ordered the three-course menu, and all of them had surprising flavors, but they weren't very large. The service was very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. It's worth a visit!

Last Friday, the three of us dined at restaurant "Aan de Spuihaven." We were warmly welcomed and served. Our expectations were quite high, given the very positive reviews. After perusing the menu, the choice was quickly made. There aren't many options, but it's still diverse enough. To whet our appetites, we each received two different amuse-bouches, which tasted delicious. This boded well for the rest of the evening, but I must admit I was a bit disappointed. The dishes are quite expensive, and this didn't match the food served. The portions are very small/not filling, especially with the vegetarian menu. A few maitake mushrooms with two asparagus spears as a main course isn't filling. Furthermore, the cod dish was a bit salty (a bit too salty, perhaps?). The beef steak tasted fine (though a bit salty), but it was also sparse. All in all, we had a pleasant evening, but unfortunately, we won't be back. The taste and mastery of the cooking techniques are excellent, so there's definitely potential! I hope future guests will be more positive 😁

We had a wonderful meal and a fantastic dining experience at Aan de Spuihaven. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable; we felt completely pampered. Every course was delicious, but the cod truly stood out. They also provided excellent advice on the wine selection, and we were pleasantly surprised by a crisp Chardonnay (a wine we don't usually choose ourselves)!

The food was not only delicious but also looked beautiful. We received pleasant service from the host, and in the beautiful weather, we enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace. Keep in mind that the restaurant is located in the city center, so there's a bit of hustle and bustle. Great if you enjoy that, but less suitable if you're looking for peace and quiet.

Ik trakteerde mijn moeder voor haar verjaardag op een lunch bij dit restaurant. Het was mooi weer dus we zaten lekker op het terras aan de Spuihaven. We hadden voor de 2-gangen lunch gekozen en kregen een amuse, een hoofdgerecht en een dessert en dronken daarbij nog een glas cava en bruisend mineraalwater. De bediening was zeer vriendelijk en het gereserveerde zalig. Het was niet heel goedkoop maar wel zeer de moeite waard.

Three course menu was good and tasty. Service was absolutely fine, atmosphere too. But we were shocked by the bill. Additional costs for water, fries and drinks were particularly high, which is a shame. That ensures that we will not come back soon.

Tasty but non-transparent prices! We had a nice meal and knew it wasn't cheap, but there was no clarity at all about what the exact price would be. You enter and are immediately asked if you want a cava (which is the new normal these days), when we asked for the menu we only got the wine list (not really handy for choosing other aperitifs) and then we are given the verbal choice of 2 menus from which it turns out afterwards that we had chosen the most expensive version of the 2 (not the surprise menu). Result: around €270 for a 3-course menu. Despite the fact that it was tasty, the price/quality is still high. So a call to the restaurant: just give a menu with everything on it (drinks, different menus).

Everything well taken care of, from entrance to departure. Friendly service. Tasty dishes with beautiful flavors and with matching wines. Only á la carte food was not possible. A bit pricey, but good quality, only a pity about a somewhat thick edge of fat and even tendon/tendon on my piece of Wagyu steak.

Dishes were beautifully prepared and had beautiful flavors. We had booked via Bongo gift card and apparently we should have indicated in advance that there were allergies and wishes. We were not asked about that. Dishes followed each other far too quickly. While there was still a sandwich on our plate, the next one was already served.

We kozen voor het 6-gangenmenu. Echt top! Je proeft zeer zeker de Oosterse tintjes die het restaurant belooft. Ook de Franse basis was duidelijk herkenbaar. De smaakcombinaties per gang waren steeds weer spannend. Toch werd niet alleen een "vuurwerk" voor de tong geleverd: alles was zo afgestemd dat het vooral een genot was. Je wandelt als het ware door de zes gangen als door een landschap met steeds weer een ander mooi uitzicht of indruk. En inderdaad, het oog kreeg ook wat: het waren kleine kunstwerkjes op het bord. Haast te mooi om te eten soms - maar ja... Interieur: industriële charme met warme tinten, gedempt licht, aangename muziek en fijne sfeer. De bediening verdient een extra vermelding. Uitermate professioneel en kundig. Bij elk gerecht uitleg, en als je meer wilde weten was er alle tijd en aandacht voor. Zeer gewaardeerd waren tips zoals: "Zorg dat je al die smaken (van de creaties op het bord) tegelijkertijd proeft." Of: "Dit moet je met gesloten mond genieten." Het was een speciale ervaring. Aanrader voor iedereen die van fijn en bijzonder eten houdt!

27 maart Wijn & Spijs, 6 gangenmenu met wijnarrangement mogen beleven. En een belevenis was het zeker. Heerlijke gerechten, mooi opgemaakt, gastvrije bediening. Ieder gerecht was een feestje op zich. We hebben een fantastische avond gehad, absoluut een aanrader!

Because of the restaurant week, I chose a restaurant in Dordrecht and this time went for lunch. We were alone in the shop, which is normally not very pleasant, but this time it was not a problem due to the decoration/layout and attention. Young chefs/service provided delicious fine dining dishes that reflected the Eastern/Turkish taste in the preparation. Enjoyed from start to finish. Next time we will definitely come for dinner. Had dinner here 2 weeks ago, we started with 4 amuses, then a 4 course menu. It was great, we enjoyed all the beautiful and tasteful creations. The service was very nice, professional but also informal, we felt very welcome. The open kitchen is great fun to entertain you between rounds. The Egyptian chef is great to see him relaxed and his addition with his flavors is once again a surprising experience. The time between courses could be a little shorter, because I often almost finished my perfectly matched wine before the dish arrived. We had a memorable evening.

What an experience to eat here. Lots of beautiful oriental flavors with a modern twist. Beautifully presented. Delicious wines. Not cheap, but you won't eat here every week. Highly recommended and an asset to Dordrecht!

We enjoyed a delicious high wine here. Five courses with beautiful dishes in terms of structure and taste, presented as beautiful works of art. The flavors were a nice balance with the additional wines. Good structure of the courses. The service was attentive and well informed about all the wines and dishes. Beautiful experience.

We had reserved a High wine package. The young chef had created surprising and successful flavor and structure combinations with French and North African techniques and ingredients. The five wines did justice to these delicious dishes and vice versa. The service was very friendly and paid the right attention to the explanation of the origin of the wines, the ingredients of the courses, and the extra: home-baked brioche: airy with a crispy crust, served with three different flavors of butter, including harissa. It was lunchtime, so there were no lights on the table yet, although that would have given a warmer atmosphere in these dark days. The plants, the beautifully decorated mooring posts on the walls, and the open kitchen, on the other hand, are beautiful atmospheric elements. We highly recommend the High wine for those who like to be surprised by refined cuisine.

Went for dinner on Boxing Day, it was an evening full of dishes that gave a true taste experience. a nice combination with Eastern and French dishes. Very friendly staff and a very nice table to sit at. In a word, an evening we thoroughly enjoyed.

Enorme tegenvaller. We werden hartelijk ontvangen. Sfeervol restaurant. We werden door bediening gevraagd naar voorkeur, menu of a la carte. Menu’s zij 3 of 4 gangen, zijnde de meer exclusieve gangen, of tasting menu, vanaf 6 gangen. Prijzen werden ons niet meegedeeld. Gekozen voor 4 gangen, terwijl tafelgenoot vega optie koos. Omcte beginnen paar oesters. Helaas bleken deze klein, en weinig smaak. Eerste gang kreeft was oke, maar niet bijzonder. Vega optie was proeverij van diverse zoete aardappel. Tweede gang, we waren inmiddels ruim 2 uur verder, was stukje zeebaars. Vega optie was nagenoeg hetzelfde, maar zonder zeebaars. 3e gang wagyu rund. Vega optie, nagenoeg hetzelfde zonder wagyu stukje vlees. Dessert was oke, maar niet bijzonder. Dit restaurant noemt vindt zichzelf fine dining. Voor mij echt niet de kwaliteit die hierbij hoort. Behoorlijk amateuristisch en gewoon geen goede kwaliteit. Gratis koffietje doet hier niets aan af.

Delicious lunch! Attentive service, good flavors and flavor combinations. We started with a cava and three appetizers. The first course was the lobster. This was very tasty. Then we had a course with mushrooms and parmesan foam (?), followed by a dish with sweet potato and pumpkin. The fish dish came with various preparations of zucchini and the main course was a smoked duck with preparations of eggplant. You can taste the North African flavors in the dishes. Very nice to taste these flavors in a fine dining restaurant. The dessert consisted of 2 dishes. A parfait with peach and a dish with coconut. The parfait was still too cold. This made it difficult to eat and you couldn't taste the peach properly. The coconut dish was very tasty. Small flaws. The butter for the bread was still too hard, so you couldn't get it on your knife properly and it didn't spread well. And the wines. They were tasty and went well with the dishes. But they could have been served a little fuller. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely come back here.

Really delicious food! We took the 9-course menu which was full of culinary surprises. A matching half-glass wine arrangement completed the taste experience. These are one of those dinners that I can't afford very often, so if we do, it has to be good. And that was it! We had a fantastic evening.

I have eaten here several times now and every time it has been truly fantastic. It is a wonderful taste experience in a beautiful restaurant. The last time I received a gift for my birthday which was very thoughtful. We will definitely go here more often, highly recommended!

We were not necessarily looking for a dining experience of this caliber, but due to a combination of circumstances we booked this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the pleasant and attentive service, the warm ambiance and delicious flavors. The dishes of our 6-course menu were beautifully coordinated and prepared with a lot of love. Not only did it taste good but every plate looked beautiful! We had a wonderful evening.

High-quality dishes, both in taste and presentation. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient service. These are our conclusions in short. Gault Millau already tipped this case and hopefully authorities such as Lekker, Gouden Pollepel and Michelin will follow this good example. Even with the appetizers, we were pleasantly surprised by beautiful creations with a hint of flavors from the Thousand and One Nights. That promised something and we sat down to discuss it. We were not disappointed. The Eastern flavors were a subtle thread throughout the chef's 5-course lunch menu. Dishes featured include lobster, halibut and sea dairy. We spent approximately €125 per person, including (alcohol-free) pairing, which is absolutely reasonable considering what was offered. Occasionally you read in reviews that the waiting time between dishes is a bit long. Perhaps not entirely unjustified, but chef Ezzat Abdelhalim does not have a large kitchen brigade at his disposal and does deliver a top performance. Patience is really rewarded here and the price tag therefore remains reasonable. Make sure you have good company at the table and you won't even notice the wait. Dordrecht has a nice entertainment venue, congratulations to the Aan de Spuihaven team. We will be back!

Vooraf was met de leiding van het restaurant afgesproken dat het restaurant voor ons gezelschap beschikbaar was: uitstekend. Ons gezelschap bestond uit 22 personen van middelbare leeftijd. Gestart werd met diverse kleine en smakelijke hapjes. Het diner was als volgt samengesteld: Voorgerecht: Hamachi - Miso - Groene Algen Hoofdgerecht"Wagyu as - aubergine - geroosterde groenten Dessert: kokos - perzik - kardemom Voor elke gang werd aan elke tafel uitleg gegeven over de gerechten Ook bij het inschenken van de diverse wijnen werd ook steeds vooraf uitleg gegeven. Het uitserveren werd heel keurig uitgevoerd. Al met al een meer dan voortreffelijke avond gehad.

Had lunch in the restaurant last Saturday. The reviews were good and I had been planning to visit for a long time. The experience can be described in one word; phenomenal. We have never eaten in a restaurant where the presentation was so refined and perfect. In addition, every appetizer and every dish is a taste sensation. We understood that the chefs have an Egyptian background. It provides an experience that we have never experienced before. The main course with braised asparagus and two preparations of lamb and the dessert were unsurpassed. Very friendly female service and delicious wines.

Zeer hartelijke ontvangst, dat is altijd een fijn begin! Vervolgens kregen we steeds prachtige gerechten met verrassende smaakcombinaties, origineel en allemaal even lekker. De wijnen pasten goed en ook daar op sommige momenten verassende wijn-spijs combinaties die wonderwel aansloten. Buiten het menu om bestelden we extra oesters, met name “de zilte” is een aanrader! Wij hadden het 5-gangen menu met bijpassend wijnarrangement, dat was een avondvullend programma waar je heel blij van wordt. Van de amuse tot de koffie alles was met zorg en aandacht voor het detail bereid en ieder gerecht had een verassende twist. Wij komen zeker terug

Yesterday we enjoyed delicious and beautifully prepared dishes. Surprising combinations of lobster tail, sea bream and lamb with North African ingredients, such as tahini, ras el hanout, sumac, etc. The wine pairing matched perfectly. The service was knowledgeable and very friendly. It was quite an evening out, but one we will definitely do again.

Erg mooi ingericht pand met terras. Genoten van A tot Z: Exquise hapjes, de gerechten (een goddelijke bereiding van eend), een meesterlijk dessert dat bleef nazinderen in de mond. Alles bleef hangen op het smakenpallet. Creatief, origineel, gedurfd, en kwaliteitsvol. Zeer mooie wijnkaart. Een verbeteringspuntje bij de bediening dat constructief werd gebracht. Afzuiging in de keuken is o.i. niet optimaal. Met een open keuken is dit uiteraard niet zo evident.

Delicious food! Too bad we weren't comfortable. We sat at one of the high tables, but because the chairs were too low, we sat opposite each other with hunched shoulders. Saw more people dealing with this. We will probably go back again, but at one of the normal tables.
