Great menu, top service, amazing location

We enjoyed a delicious lunch together for our wedding anniversary. The welcome was warm, and then we were escorted to our table. Hostess Indy regaled us with the delicious dishes we were presented with, and the courses were incredibly flavorful and original. The friendly sommelier explained the wines that complemented the dishes. We had an exceptionally delicious meal. It's a shame it was a bit quiet; this restaurant deserves to be consistently full. Chef Justin helped us with our coats, and then we headed home satisfied. In our opinion, this restaurant is definitely worthy of a Michelin star!

Did a 5 course with wine arrangement for 150 pop. Kitchen competent, never below par, but rather safe and unimaginative. Lost it’s Michelin-star after a change of managment, and not quite ready to regain it. Wine selection was a bit unforgiving, without crowd pleasers. Waiters a bit awkward - the motion without the locomotion - save one. Scenery might have been hip 25 years ago. Oubollig, as the Dutch say. It’s not bad at all, but joie de vivre is clearly missing.

An unforgettable evening at De Zweth in Schipluiden Yesterday, the four of us dined at Aan de Zweth in Schipluiden. We chose the 5-course menu with wine pairing, and from the first moment to the last sip, it was simply stunning. Every dish was delicious, refined in flavor, and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, friendly, professional, and meticulously detailed. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant were also stunning; stylish yet warm, exactly what you want for a special evening out. In short: an evening full of flavor, class, and conviviality that we won't soon forget. Highly recommended for anyone who truly wants to enjoy culinary delights at De Zweth.

The service wasn't great, and what's more, we received turkey that was still raw. When we reported it, we received a meager "oops." Not what you'd expect from a restaurant like this. It's an embarrassing experience to give someone as a gift.

Here you get something you really can't make at home

We were previously familiar with De Zwetheul. We recently took a cooking workshop at Aan de Zweth, which is also highly recommended. We've now booked dinner here. What a wonderful, complete evening. Six courses with lovely wine pairings. The plaice course was my favorite. We had a wonderful time, dining on the terrace, a beautiful atmosphere.

To be a Michelin restaurant a missed certain aspects such as customer service (staff were not really friendly) a bit more taste and better atmosphere... not too mention the flies flying around... a bit too overrrated...

Interesting that the dinner started with a tiny tasteless strop waffle…the first half of the dishes and wines lacked flavor, but the second half of the dishes improved consistently.. so did the wines. However, we were not very pleased with the customer services. The explanations of the dishes were very shallow, the waiters lacked friendliness. Maybe because we are not dutch. We think it is overrated, we expected much more being a Michelin start restaurant. Other Michelin starts in NL are way better. We were bothered by flies the whole evening and the staff were not even aware.

Restaurant Aan de Zweth remains a stylish location to receive business relations. The restaurant is under new management and has since lost its Michelin star. We only discovered this when we were already seated at the table — and that was disappointing, precisely because that star was exactly what we wanted to offer our guests. We had chosen the summer menu in advance. The dishes were well-prepared and technically neatly executed, but not surprising in any way. The only thing that was truly memorable was the oyster served naturally — it was downright delicious. The wine pairing with the courses was excellent and carefully chosen. The quality of the pastries with the coffee, on the other hand, was mediocre. The service was adequate and friendly, but at the same time distant and not very cordial. They consistently maintained this style until we left — without a greeting or a word of thanks. All things considered, I give the whole thing a meager six on a scale of 0 to 10. That's a shame, because I am convinced that they have it down pat at Aan de Zweth. Perhaps we just had a bad evening. Will we be back? Certainly not for the time being. Other restaurants in this segment are better. The morning after our visit, we received a request to post a review via Formitable (from Zenchef). The invitation seemed to come from the restaurant itself. Reviews written via this channel are first sent to the restaurant, which then decides whether or not to publish them in full on external profiles or on its own website. This means that there is a good chance that mainly positive stories will be visible. By proactively directing all guests to a controlled platform in this way, we prevent spontaneous, less positive reviews from appearing on independent channels such as Google Business Profile — and that is precisely the platform on which we based our choice. For me, this is therefore a plea to kindly ignore such invitations and post your review directly to Google.

Got to know the restaurant at a Gault&Millau event and decided to eat here for a special occasion. My expectations were exceeded! Had 6 courses with additions where dietary preferences were taken into account very well. Service was top with a good explanation of all dishes and such. The dishes themselves were delicious and often managed to surprise in a positive way in terms of taste!

Tonight we had a wonderfully surprising meal. Justin really surprised us. Recommended!!!

Not really special as a Michelin star restaurant. Dishes are tasty, but not very progressive. Risks are avoided. The homemade peppermint is nice.

The new owners do Aan de Zweth every honor. We made a reservation through Dining City and the fully catered 5-course lunch was truly sublime. The only minor blemish on the afternoon were 3 grumpy old men next to us at the table who negatively affected the atmosphere with their negativity.

We really enjoyed the Justin and Joris menu. The dishes look so beautiful that it is almost a shame to eat them. Luckily we did, because what an explosion of taste. The size of the dishes and the six courses together is also very good. Finally, the service is also very hospitable and correct. We will definitely come back.

I've eaten here twice. In 2024, it was fantastic. We were surprised with large napkins, a box with a personal note, and delicious food. A solid 5 stars back then! We ate here tonight and went home feeling disappointed. Several (too) small portions, a few inferior wines, and several dishes unfortunately out of balance. The €30 supplement for two thin Wagyu strips was disproportionate. I didn't think it was worth €220 per person. I just ate something from the fridge at home to fill my stomach. Shouldn't have happened after a 5-course meal.

op vrijdagmiddag gereserveerd voor een lunch. Vanwege de 10e jaar op rij een ster serveerden ze een menu met 10 gerechten die per 2 worden geserveerd. Werkelijk fantastische smaken en de opmaak is iedere keer met wow effect. De wijnkaart is zeer uitgebreid en van alle windstreken. Eigenlijk 2 sterren waardig! Fantastisch.

The food was perfect! Fresh and prepared with absolute class. The sommelier is also very skilled and knew how to pour the perfect wine for every dish. No expense was spared for the service either. Finally, the atmosphere was cozy, but with enough space between the tables. An excellent vegetarian menu is also available. In conclusion, pure praise for the staff and the chef!

Al jaren een vertrouwd adresje in de zomer, dat nooit teleurstelt. Mooie, elegante gerechtjes, begeleid door fijne (in dit geval grand cru) wijnen. Bediening ook echt top, heel kundige en enthousiaste sommelier. We blijven terugkomen.

We thought we could have a drink and something to eat on the terrace... unfortunately we were refused, only an extensive lunch or dinner in this Michelin restaurant is possible here... Not recommended

After many years of coming here, we continue to be surprised. Delicious food every time with excellent service from the entire team! As a surprise for my birthday, Joris even made a special chocolate cake. They understand the details perfectly here and you notice it down to the last detail!

What a nice place to enjoy culinary delights. We had the 6-course menu (including wine pairing) and every dish was delicious. The atmosphere is also fresh and fun in the Delft blue theme. Very nice location! In short, recommended!

Ended up here completely unexpectedly. But what a beautiful experience. Beautiful dishes, in a beautiful, sleekly decorated restaurant, accompanied by delicious wines. Service is of paramount importance. The evening ended with the chef having a chat with all the guests.

The building and the atmosphere in the room are good. But the food is substandard. The variety is mediocre, the portions are too small and the main course A4 Wagyu beef had tendons in 1 person. When this was reported they said "we'll see what we can do about it". Well, didn't do anything at all. The graduates were still hungry and had to put a pizza in the oven in the evening. This could be SO MUCH better. Then the staff. Add WAY too much water. Every few minutes. And suddenly they start in English. That's fine in itself, but please introduce it first. Like, I'm from here and I'm learning etc. And then for more than Euro 1000 with 6 people...

This was my 3rd time eating here. Everything is arranged down to the last detail. Something you expect from a starred restaurant. The service is really fantastic and the staff is friendly and helpful. In addition, the food is really delicious. They make the coolest creations with ingredients you've never heard of, but when you eat it you really enjoy it. The sommelier is also very good and has a perfect choice of wine with the food. In short, it really is an evening of enjoyment with friends!

It is always such a treat to eat here. Why? Well, about everything actually. Enjoyed it so much again. Thanks for that.

Star worthy restaurant with mostly excellent service during our meal. Food wise, it's leaning towards french. Both tasty and we'll executed. Wine pairing is good, surprising and makes sense with the menu. Cheese selection is pretty decent. Update: During our most recent visit, the attention to detail wasn't as good as before, but overall still an excellent experience.

Great cuisine and attentive service.

Enjoyed a great lunch. The location, the kitchen (we were allowed to take a look), the food and, oh yes, not to forget the Grand Cru BoB glasses. All very good and delicious. Service fine, but not very personal. Almost 500 euros for 2 people is not little for a 1-star lunch with a few wines, cheese and coffee, but 100% worth the car journey and the traffic jam.

Prima gegeten maar dat mag/moet natuurlijk ook wel want het is, zoals algemeen bekend, best stevig geprijsd. Voor mocktails echter € 28,50 p/st rekenen gaat echter wel alle realiteitszin te boven en zou op zijn minst duidelijk aangegeven moet zijn.

Ok, as so many have already written; good food, good atmosphere..., your table is not 10 cm next to another table, friendly staff who also understand how much information you want to consume, everything is correct down to the last detail. It is also not a problem to pay more than a normal restaurant because you know, among other things, that here the wine does what it is supposed to do with every course, etc. Yet I wonder whether Michelin also understands that after 5 courses a guest is quite may be a bit full. Let me write it differently; every dish is so delicious that you think..., gosh..., too bad..., I would have liked to have had 2 extra bites on my fork..., to enjoy it a little longer. Then as a restaurant you give so much..., but you deprive a guest of that longer enjoyment. So often that these types of top-level restaurants neglect this one detail (2 extra snacks). It is not a price issue, but it does determine whether you come back again and then it becomes a price issue. Positive criticism. Do what you want with it. Thank you for the delicious food.

Er heerst een ontspannen sfeer met vriendelijke bediening. We hebben fantastische gerechten gegeten met heerlijke wijnen.

We kregen een 6 gangen Wagyu menu met een tafel in de keuken van Joris Peters. Wat een ervaring was dat! Tijdens het diner mocht je door de keuken lopen, kijken hoe de gerechtjes werden bereid en een praatje maken met alle medewerkers. Ze waren allemaal even lief en enthousiast. Ontzettend bedankt voor deze mooie en smaakvolle avond!

Zondagmiddag uitgebreide lunch gedaan (van 13.00 tot 17.30) met het volwassen gezin. Fantastisch lekker gegeten, ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Niks is ze teveel, ook niet wanneer je specifieke dieetwensen hebt. Goede alternatieven gekregen en echt een dikke pluim. We gaan regelmatig naar een sterrenrestaurant, dus weten wat we beoordelen.

Meer dan uitstekend gegeten, kundig wijn advies gecombineerd met fantastische smaken en hele fijne bediening. Hulde voor Joris en zijn team, ons eerste huwelijks jubileum was onvergetelijk. Hartelijk dank daarvoor, we komen zeker nog is terug!

Ongekende ervaring! Ontvangt zeer hartelijk en correct. Gerechten zijn stuk voor stuk met uiterste precisie bereid en de presentatie is fantastisch en speels. Het arrangement is zeer compleet en rechtvaardigheid de prijs. Vaste afsluiting voor mij is koffie en ook die was van zeer goede kwaliteit. Complimenten!!

Located next to the bridge across the little river Zweth you'll find the namesake restaurant Aan de Zweth. If the weather allows there is a beautiful riverside terrace, but the restaurant interior is also worthwhile with Delftware style decorations inspired by the region. The food is amazing! We opted for the Signature menu and it exceeded our expectations. Very smart combinations of flavours and ingredients with impeccable presentation. Both the wine pairing and the non-alcoholic drinks pairing were a very good match with the food. The staff is very attentive and friendly which adds to the overall experience. Highly recommended and we'll definitely go again.

It's rare to have every meal that is interesting and delicious in a high end restaurant. That was certainly the case here. Together with a lovely view on the canal and a gentle service, the whole experience certainly deserves more than the single Michelin star it currently has. On top of that, they devised a menu for my two years old that she loved and that was timed right (not too much waiting for her). I really loved it!

Heerlijk gegeten. Superaardige bediening. Fijne aandacht: persoonlijk zonder overdreven formeel te zijn. Het interieur vond ik lelijk: met een centraal object dat doet denken aan gestapelde stenen maar dan van kunststof of fineer. Deed me denken aan een crematorium.

Prachtige smaakcombinaties en mooie wijnen worden erbij geschonken. De soufflé was fenomenaal! Heerlijk gegeten dus met een fijne losse ambiance. Aanrader!

Toprestaurant. Alle gerechten heerlijk en prachtig gepresenteerd. Speciale vermelding voor het toetje, dat bij sterrenrestaurants toch vaak een ondergeschoven kindje is. De service is uitstekend en zeer vriendelijk. Ook een zeer fijne sfeer in het restaurant. Het water was gratis en ook de drankjes waren redelijk geprijsd. Gratis parkeren 50 meter verderop aan de overkant. Dikke aanrader!

I've been to many restaurants in the Netherlands and Europe, but Aan de Zweth is my favourite. Very high level, fantastic food, and a very relaxed atmosphere.
