Super fun, with very sweet employees!!!

The food is tasty, the staff friendly.

Super delicious food at restaurant Azzuro. I am originally from Haarlem and the restaurant staff and owner were attentive. A plus point is the decaf on the menu, and the pizza quattro stagioni was also very tasty. My wife also found her tagliatelle with beef tenderloin tips super delicious. And the tiramisu was divine. In short, I would love to come back again.

We had a delicious meal and they had gluten-free pizzas. The salmon was also delicious.

I was expecting nice food but unfortunately we were let down. Despite being the only table in the restaurant, it took nearly an hour to make 2 pasta dishes. The flavour was ok, but not worth €20. I would expect delicious food made within 20 minutes at this price.

Ate at Azzuros one of the best pastas in my whole life! Came again and the same experience:). The owner and staff are also very friendly and attentive to their guests. Will eat more frequently there now!

Favorite Italian restaurant! I've been coming here for years and almost always order the tenderloin with gorgonzola, because I've never eaten it as delicious as here! Plus, the service is always super friendly and welcoming!

We live quite close to Pizzeria Azzurro, but had never ordered pizza there until now. Clearly, we should have done so sooner. We ordered a calzone, a Hawaiian pizza, and a margherita, with the margherita for my daughter even being folded in half to resemble a kind of calzone. That was arranged without any hassle. While waiting, we were served very kindly by the person behind the bar, and we enjoyed a nice drink together. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. When we got home, we all ate three truly delicious pizzas. Good crust, tasty filling, and clearly made with care. A wonderful discovery in the neighborhood. Next time, I definitely know exactly where I'll be getting pizza again. Highly recommended!

I used to come here myself when I was a child, and we went to eat here again after almost 20 years. The food was good, and the dessert was so big that the three of us could enjoy it. And a free appetizer which was delicious.

We picked up pizzas and pasta. It was ready within fifteen minutes, which was great. The taste of the pizzas and pastas is high quality, and you can taste that the pizza makers are true experts. The only downside was that we found the food just a bit too greasy. There was a lot of oil on the pizzas, and the four-cheese pasta was, in my opinion, also just a little too greasy.

Ate at Azurro. The evening started with a terrace that looked as if it had already closed before we arrived: full ashtrays, dead plants, and an open trash can next to the entrance. Not exactly the “Buonasera” atmosphere you hope for. Inside, we were greeted kindly, but the menu seemed to be cultivating a culture of its own, mold spots included. After asking for a new menu, the old one simply went back onto the stack. Apparently, that is part of the circular menu concept. The table didn't make things much better: wine glasses with fingerprints, and glasses aren't supposed to be placed upside down on the table. The whole thing felt like cleaning here is more of a suggestion than a standard. The decor is basic and messy, and the staff walk around without uniforms — making the whole thing look unprofessional. The food? Fine in itself, but if this is Italian, then curry sauce is suddenly traditional too. The pasta was not al dente (more like “thought about it just a little too long”). The pizza spinaci had enough gorgonzola to supply a small village, but the dough itself didn't do much. The penne with spinach and curry sauce was okay, but Italy was nowhere to be found here. The arrabbiata lacked zest, more “irritated” than “angry”. Big plus: the service was friendly and really did its best, probably the warmest part of the evening. Conclusion: a place where the potential is there, but the execution falls short. With a bit more attention to hygiene, appearance, and quality, this could be much better. For now: nice try, but no return visit.

Amazingly tasty pastas! We had it to-go while stranded outside in the cold due to an incident, the chef and waiter were very kind and thoughtful. The pasta remained hot and was delicious! Recovered us to finish our journey 💪 Hope to come back here one day

We had a lovely meal here just the two of us. The pizzas were well baked. A nice crispy crust. And great flavor. After ordering, the plates were on the table quickly and the service was friendly and welcoming. We will be coming here more often.

Authentic, super-fresh, and homemade Italian cuisine. Very friendly and attentive service. It's a shame if you only get a pizza here; the antipasti with the main course and tiramisu, paired with a nice glass of wine, are truly fantastic.

Simple, Italian in name, not in taste

This isn't the hippest, trendiest Italian restaurant you've ever seen, but it is the place where you'll be welcomed with the warmth of Italy and the tastiest pizzas and Italian dishes in Heemstede!

Hate to say this because this is obviously a family run restaurant and the owner is really nice however i had the most mediocre pizza i have had in a long time. And no, it wasn't a bad choice of topping; it was the dough. Could have been a frozen pizza from the supermarket. On a positive note, my mum had a very generous portion of lamb chops which was very tasty.

Azzurro is highly recommended if you're in Heemstede. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the atmosphere is both cozy and stylish. What makes it extra special is the service: the waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and gave excellent tips on choosing the dishes. You really feel welcome here. I'll definitely be back soon!

Friendly and easy to communicate with.

Came here on Tuesday evening for a small dinner. Friendly welcome. Bruscetta from the house as an aperitif.. Ordered pasta, penne/ spinach/ curry....very tasty. Also tagliatelle/ salmon...also well seasoned. Price/quality in order. Tiramasu to go which was nice.....little taste could be a bit better.

If you like really tasty pasta or pizza, you're in the right place. That was really delicious! The people who work there are also very friendly. My wife wants to try everything on the menu. Definitely recommended and we'll be back soon!

Just because it's fun. Father and son are a nice combination. Good cook and host. Accessible, eat or pick up pizza or a delicious meat/fish/vegetarian dish. Highly recommended is the eggplant with tomato and mozzarella.

Far below par! December 28 '24 having a bite to eat with the neighbor friends, oh, Italian, nice. We go inside: 1st question reserved? Not "good evening" or "nice of you to visit us". Anyway, after our denial, an arm movement indicated that we could be given a spot in the direction of the toilet. After choosing drinks we made our menu choice. Some guests arrive unannounced and they get their food before we do. Could happen, but still. Then the meal: bread basket with herb butter contained 6 cold balls of bread. Anyway, you're hungry so you eat. Then some very thin onion soup with a 3cm piece of bread and some cheese. Then 2 pizzas with a good thin base and quite tasty. Neighbor's steak is accompanied by only 1 potato cut into 6 pieces and lots of vegetables. Downright scanty! My wife's ravioli con ricotta et spinach literally contained just 4 ravioli floating in an overly peppery sauce. Not a tour de force and absolutely not filling the belly. Repeatedly asking if the waiter would please look our way resulted in nada. Anyway, asking the bar if this great waiter wanted to come by again was the only way to get a drink. Then to top off this jerky customer approach, my wife, when she walks up to pay, is confronted with the question "what do you want?". Not "was everything to your satisfaction? Oh, you want to pay, that's possible". No, a jerky and clumsy "what do you want". Anyway, the crowning touch to this approach was the question whether she would like to pay the bill (also far too expensive in relation to the quality delivered) in cash. Now they have the bad luck that we, the tax-avoiding catering industry, have to reply with the standard response: "then that's bad luck for you because then we won't pay". In addition, she indicates "After all, it is not stated anywhere, it is not stated, so you can expect to be able to pay by card." Finally, oh wonder, a payment terminal is brought out. What a shame. Anyway, get away from there quickly to more pleasant places. Tip: find the first best snack bar/cafe and have something to eat there. Much cheaper and usually friendlier service. What a super nice restaurant. Service is top notch, from arrival to departure. Pizza prepared with fresh ingredients, delicious desserts and nice wines.

Nice Italian restaurant. Too bad it's not well known because I've been there twice recently and there was still plenty of room. And an advantage, it is affordable! This is no longer the case with most of today's catering industry. Oh yes, they also have excellent wine!

Calzone is great, delicious extra sauce

Super tasty lamb chops, with the most amazing spaghetti (garlic, olive oil and spicy peppers). My friend had the calzone which also tasted delicious. The staff was very friendly and hospitable! We will definitely come here more often, thank you!

Lekker gegeten daar! Pizza en toetjes waren super aardige medewerker we zaten op de stoep van een drukke weg... F1 in Zandvoort.

Mijn ouders en ik eten hier al jaren en het eten verbaasd mij elke keer weer hoe lekker het is! Het eten is super goed en wordt snel gemaakt, en de bediening is ook super! Zeker een bezoekje waard.

Leuke service en sfeer, eten vrij basaal. Vriendelijk welkom geheten en ruime keus als zitplaats. Welkomst bruschetta is heerlijke start. Wijn keuze is beperkt tot enkele flessen eenvoudige witte of rode wijn, prima betaalbaar. Eten sterk afhankelijk van je verwachting: ga je voor eenvoudige pizza of pasta dan voldoet het aardig maar verwacht je Italiaanse specialiteit dan kan je wel teleurgesteld worden. Wij kozen vooraf voor bruschetta en Vitello tonato. Bij de bruschetta verwaxht je Italiaanse toast met verse ingrediënten, tomaat, knoflook en olijfolie maar we kregen geroosterd stokbrood met tapenade uit een potje… een toastje was belegd met dezelfde Vitello tonato die we apart hadden besteld (er was wat over blijkbaar). De Vitello was redelijk maar geen vers gesneden vlees en de tonato heeft geen tonijn gezien: soort mayonaise met kunstmatige tonijnsmaak. Als hoofdgerecht pasta (agnolotti al tartufo) en vlees (Scaloppina spinaci). Pasta was smaakvol al zou een Italiaanse kok de pasta een flink aantal minuten korter koken. Duidelijk geen verse pasta. Het vlees was vers bereid, de garnering zeer rijkelijk (dikke laag kaas overheerste volledig de smaak). Beide zo vullend dat we het toetje maar hebben overgeslagen. afgesloten met limoncello (prima en goed koud!) en 1 espresso (geen sterke Italiaanse ‘caffè’ maar lekker Hollandse volle kop koffie) Dat laatste vat samen wat je kan verwachten: prima Italiaanse gerechten maar zonder echte Italiaanse ingrediënten of kookkunsten. Ga je voor eenvoudige, maagvullende pizza of pasta dan voldoet het waarschijnlijk prima

Perfekte bediening...na het bestellen van ons drankje, kregen we meteen een lekkere bruchetta van het huis. 2 pizza besteld....echt prima kwaliteit... Komen zeker vaker terug...

Bediening bijzonder vriendelijk en netjes. Vleesgerechten zijn goed. Pizza's mogen wat minder vet en beleg is teveel want het past allemaal niet op de pizza deegbodem. Je kunt buiten eten, ook heel fijn.

Die Pizza war sehr Lecker eine 9/10. Der Boden war sehr kross und der Belag vorzüglich. Die anderen Gerichte ( Lasagne, Bolognese) waren sehr gut. Alle Gerichte schmeckten frisch und Hausgemacht. Eine Empfehlung Wert.

Gingen met kleinzoon pizza van 3 pizza eten. Maar hij was wat te moe om ervan te kunnen genieten, dus was het een kort bezoek. Vlotte service. Hebben zijn pizza mee genomen en kleinzoon heeft daar later van kunnen genieten. Kindvriendelijk restaurant

Heel erg lang op het hoofdgerecht gewacht omdat de afhaalpizaa's voorgingen. Zelfs na klagen (we wachten een uur tussen voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht) nauwelijks actie of excuses van personeel. Service zwaar onder de maat. Het eten is gemiddeld. Een doorsnee pizzeria. Niets bijzonders. Met zoveel aanbod in de buurt kun je beter ergens anders heengaan. Voor ons was dit de laatste keer.

Vriendelijke bediening. Je hoeft nooit lang te wachten.

Prima plek om lekker te eten, ongedwongen sfeer, aardig personeel en goed eten. Ook met kinderen heel goed te doen. Lekkere pasta, risotto, brucchetta. Ook goede wijn. Komen we nog eens.
