Ristorante Novecento Heemstede in Wijk 00 Heemstede-Centrum

Delicious pizzas, super friendly staff, but we had to wait a very long time for our food (an hour...)

Good and affordable. Had a tasty meal, very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Ate on the terrace.

Truly one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. And what super friendly staff 😍

Made a late reservation. The food was good and the staff was friendly. They helped with our seating due to a bit of a draft and checked afterwards if it was fine. Nice place.

A group of cackling ladies made other tables shout to be heard. 4 crostini points too many with a meat meal.

I heard that the Heemstede location is closing. We find that extremely regrettable and a great loss. We won't be finding the peace and quiet we found there anytime soon. Haarlem is often noisy and cramped. So I hope it will be reconsidered 😉🙏

Great value for money, prompt service, didn't have to wait long for the food.

Everything is fine, really. And the price too. We will definitely come back.

A very disappointing experience. We went to Novecento for dinner as a family and unfortunately the quality of the food fell far short of our expectations. We ordered one of the pizzas presented as a house specialty, with figs, and it was simply awful. The carbonara pasta was inedible and we couldn't finish it. Most worrying was the children's chicken dish, which had a very intense and unpleasant taste of old or excessively reused oil. Considering this was a meal intended for a child, we found this situation particularly unpleasant. In the end, we were left with several dishes practically uneaten and left the restaurant very disappointed with the quality of the meal. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Novecento.

There were four of us, and although the staff were very friendly and we got a table quickly, the food was a huge disappointment. I ordered carbonara, and it was, without a doubt, the worst I've ever had in my life. It had a very strong and unpleasant smell and tasted intensely of cheese. We all tasted it and agreed that it was inedible. My brother ordered chicken with fries, but they were also very bad and tasted intensely of oil. My mother also thought the pizza was terrible. Only my father enjoyed his meal. In addition, we waited more than an hour for the food due to the chaos in the restaurant. In the end, thankfully, we only paid for the drinks, but we left there starving and very disappointed.

A warm welcome! The food was delicious! The service was top-notch! It was fantastic!

Very slow service. The lasagna I ordered was of very poor quality. Absolutely not al dente. Hard crusts on the base that were inedible. I reported my complaints to the waitress. No feedback or compensation. I will not be eating here again.

The food was delicious. The waitstaff was a bit inexperienced, but service-oriented. The manager was a wonderfully refreshing lady. Quick-witted, which made you feel welcome. We will definitely come back again.

Delicious dishes, good atmosphere, friendly staff

Service for a large group was really not good. The staff seemed to be doing their best, but couldn't manage. Drinks took an extremely long time; some were never even brought. Initially, we didn't receive any plates while we were served shared starters. Dirty plates. Pizzas were very greasy in terms of cheese. The crust was very nice though. Starters were good and tasty!

We had a nice time! The pizza edges were very burnt, there were no nuts with dessert, an extra cookie was supposed to be added but wasn't given. Two people had already finished dessert when it arrived for the other two.

It is always delicious and cozy dining at Novecento Heemstede! The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, there was too little staff for all the tables this evening, and it took a very long time for our food to arrive. But we would love to come back!

I was charged €3 too much when settling the bill 2 folded pizzas 1 Heineken 0.0 beer 1 sore cola 1 smooth guy beer Had to pay €46 The photo also shows that you get lettuce and a bowl with something in it That was also missing

Uncomfortable chairs, service took a long time even though it was anything but busy, and the food was meh.

Delicious pizza, friendly staff.

I was very disappointed; the pizza was half burnt and lacked flavor. The coffee wasn't good at all either. The atmosphere is quite nice, but next time I'll look for a different restaurant.

Nice restaurant with lots of choices and good quality! Highly recommended 👍

Great pizza, inexperienced service

Cozy, warm, and relaxed; young and old mingle, which creates a cheerful atmosphere, the food is great, and the best tiramisu I have ever eaten.

Had a delicious meal outside on the terrace.

We had a lovely evening yesterday!! Enjoys the Hereford steak, prepared in two different ways. Thanks to Monice and her attentive collegae!

Nice restaurant in the city center, easy parking, good service, and tasty pizzas.

Delicious food and friendly staff, definitely recommended.

Delicious food and friendly service

Nice place, we love going there!

Always delicious food and very attentive, polite staff.

We had a delicious meal. Really tasty! It's a shame that you don't get a pitcher of water with your meal and that you are required to buy a bottle of water. Not very good for the environment.

It's a shame you can't get tap water (even for a fee). Only (expensive) bottled water is available.

This time the pizza was disappointing. Calzone Porto was filled with large pieces of vegetables. Last time, this pizza contained smaller pieces, which allowed the flavors to blend better and made the pizza much tastier. The service was good and very friendly.

We have been coming to Novecento Heemstede for years; it is a nice restaurant: great food, a cozy atmosphere, and exceptionally friendly service!

We have been loyal guests of the restaurant in Haarlem for years, so when a second location became available that is closer to us, we didn't hesitate for a moment to visit Heemstede more often. The big difference is that it feels a lot more comfortable here, perhaps a bit more personal, and therefore not as busy and noisy, which is quite nice at times. Regarding the climate control system, I personally disagree with the notion that it is cold, nor that it is too warm; I haven't noticed anything of the sort. It has a quiet interior, beautiful wall work (painting), and various seating options (large family tables or more intimate for two). The menu seems to differ slightly from Haarlem, but I don't think it differs much. The entrance upon arrival is a bit awkward, shared with a screen in front of it, and having a table right next to it doesn't seem pleasant to me as a visitor. The team is, here too, receptive and friendly; if something isn't to your liking, you can simply point it out and they will act with all reasonableness. The wine is organic and therefore probably a bit more expensive, but I believe that, regardless of the organic label, that is pretty much the same everywhere at the moment. The food is delicious; I haven't had any unpleasant experiences so far. I also notice that the team is doing their utmost, and that is certainly nice.

Pizzas were good, pastas were lukewarm, with too much oil and arugula. Prawns with bread and salad for 22 euros were very disappointing. It was busy, work was very inefficient, food was already on the table but cutlery was missing. Limoncello was offered as compensation. We will never come here again.

Table reserved, but was occupied. No tap water. Got a bottle of water on our bill, which we hadn't ordered. Fries served long after the main course. Ordered coffee with tiramisu. Coffee already finished, then the tiramisu followed. Staff occupied with themselves, not listening. In short, we won't be coming back here.

Cozy, modern restaurant with super friendly service. Delicious food for relatively little money.

As always, the food was delicious. We've been coming here for years.

What a fantastic experience at Novecento! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and immediately felt welcome. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, with a cozy vibe that immediately makes you relax. The food was truly exquisite. Every dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. You taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every bite. The flavors were perfectly balanced and clearly created with passion. The wine paired perfectly. Moreover, the service was attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. We felt truly pampered. We will definitely be back.

February 2026 This restaurant is a truly wonderful place for a relaxed and affordable meal. The atmosphere and decor are excellent. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The price/quality ratio is truly above average. The food was delicious, with plenty of choices. They also have a selection of matching wines. The ingredients were fresh. We've eaten at their restaurant in Haarlem before, and it was also excellent. We'd definitely go back.

The food was very tasty (excellent) and the staff was very friendly. Recommended.

Highly recommended, delicious food!

Great pizza and great service. If you come here, definitely try the crostini!

Super cozy spot and delicious food at a great price! The Brie pizza is highly recommended! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I'm a regular!

I had a truly fantastic experience here! The people who work here are really nice, and the food is also delicious. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

Delicious Italian food at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly!

Delicious food, friendly staff, highly recommended

The whole thing deserves no more than a rating of MODERATE. Spaghetti appears sliced (like vermicelli) on the plate with a watery tomato sauce. The half-liter of red wine is a headache. Not recommended.

Top staff in both Heemstede and Haarlem. The food is always good, just like the service. For us, always simply good!

Good food and pleasant atmosphere

I had a lovely meal with my mother and sister. What a cozy place, the food was delicious. The service was great, especially the young man who helped us. This is highly recommended if you're looking for a good meal!

The pizzas and pastas are delicious. But the pasta portions are shockingly small. You're paying a fortune for just a few bites of pasta. This really needs to change.

Delicious food. Quickly prepared. The tiramisu was the absolute highlight. Friendly, cheerful service. Good value for money.

We had a delicious meal tonight, the restaurant was very clean and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

The pizzas were delicious. A good pizza base and delicious ingredients. The price/quality ratio is good. The service is good and welcoming. The only thing we wish was that something were done about the acoustics. It felt like a chicken coop with all the chattering guests. And turn off the background music; it was barely audible.

Cozy restaurant and terrace with a very good menu. We had a delicious meal here, and will definitely go back.

Very nice restaurant with simple easy menu. Good choice of dishes and the price is right. Will certainly return and enjoy another meal when we return to Heemstede. We didn't have reservations but we managed to find a table. Excellent service.

Had to wait a very long time for 4 pizzas. (More than an hour) In the meantime, the 'pick-ups' were helped quickly. You really had to search for the gorgonzola on the pizza! Very frugal. Also a young, clumsy but polite service.

Very disappointing, not enough service, long wait (for everything, menu, drinks, starter and main course). Error in the order because of which one of the four of us only got the main course while the rest had already finished it. The takeaway pizzas seem to get priority over the people who were waiting in the restaurant. The food was also a disappointment. One of the main courses was partly cold, one came too late and one was dripping with oil. The taste of all was bland. The location is good and the service did its best, every time they came they apologized (for the wait and the mistakes), but that is not enough to try it again.

Terrible bland and oily pasta food. Restaurant has their priorities wrong for pizza deliveries keeping tables waiting. Saw one table walk out. Staff do their best but the owner needs to step up or give the restaurant to a new owner. Will not return.

Nice place to eat a quick pizza, on top of each other but, that seems to be tasty? For three, no starter 2 pizzas 1 pasta 3 beers no dessert but 2 teas 1 x coffee with tip 85 euros that is quite normal for a simple bite they think these days?

Had a delicious pizza for a nice price. Great place 👌🏼

Rather basic... Atmosphere, food, service.

Our favorite for years. Nice change with Haarlem

Very friendly employees and tasty food for a good price! Clean, tidy and fast. Highly recommended!

The special dishes taste excellent, as do the wines. Very pleasant wait staff and good service! However, there is one big drawback ACOUSTICS. Even with only 3 guests at the table it was impossible to hear each other, let alone with the presence of noisy children.............. A reason for us and other guests to avoid Noecento. Too bad!

Our favorite for years. Nice change with Haarlem

We came here on the recommendation of friends and it was a good choice! Cattle; different wines and beers. The food was perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful and the terrace is ideal for an evening out. Nice girls in the service. Price is very good. Definitely worth repeating!

We had dinner here with the family and it was very good. Both the meat and vegetarian options were delicious. My vegan partner was also very satisfied with the wide choice. The service was friendly and fast. The price is great for the quality you get. Definitely recommended!

Excellent food and atmosphere. The food in this restaurant is always great! Even a fan of steak Tagliata and tasty pasta, there is something for everyone. They also have plenty of options for children.

Delicious food, the service is top notch. We think the Haarlem branch seems a bit more cozy, but that is purely due to the decoration.

Factory pizza with no recognizable taste. Not crispy. Students in the kitchen who don't know anything about pizzas. It's not expensive, but then you don't get anything and you end up on the street with a bad taste.

This was the first time. Very satisfied. Good pizza for a normal price.

A really nice Italian restaurant! It is recommended to make a reservation for dinner, because of the crowds. Nice staff and very quick service. The food was tasty and tasted good. We will definitely come back here again.

Food is different than in Haarlem. Tasteless or too salty or greasy. Very cold inside, but seems to be known. Service very friendly and helpful.

Very tasty food and nice atmosphere

Ate here for the 2nd time. 1st time a good experience. Nothing to see this time. Food was fine. Fries were not served as a side dish. Never seen it afterwards either. We were asked if we wanted something to drink. However, this did not happen either. After speaking we were given 2 glasses of wine. These would not be included in the receipt. After the main course asked for a desert menu. We didn't get this either. When paying, it was said again that the wine had been removed. We still had to pay for this and didn't have any desert. Excuse: yes, it's busy too. Staff seems to have no interest in their work. Last year I would recommend it, but now absolutely not. Very disappointing.

After a weak house wine and a greasy starter that seemed to consist of pizza without tomato with tapenade, I ordered the chef's specialty, somewhat overwhelmed by the large number of dishes on the menu. This turned out to be a fairly mediocre pizza quatro stagioni. I expected more for this price. Unfortunately, the otherwise excellent service did not make up for the rather kitchy decor and we went home disappointed.

We went yesterday 26 Oct at the Novecento restaurant. We can’t pretend to have real Italian food in the Netherlands, but you would expect at least a minimum basic quality. Pasta was so overcooked that it probably was the worst I have ever experienced! I ate it only because I was hungry!!!! My wife left it at least half of it! Guys it was uneatable so much oil and it didn’t taste any good either! The GF pizza for my daughter was acceptable but nothing so special. The antipasti was poor of elements I mean you have to see it to understand it. Too little for the price charged. Leaving the restaurant and being still hungry was something that never happened before. An unrepeatable experience for sure! One positive note, staff was kind and did a good job!

I'm a little perplexed. Just called because we picked up, but didn't get the right pizza. “What do you want me to do?” was the lady's response, in an unkind tone. No understanding or apologies. I told her that I would like to speak to someone else who could help us, but she said this was not possible. When I told her that we come often and (if this is the service) not anymore, she said: 'fine, bye bye!'. Bizarre.

Unfortunately, a fantastic location in Heemstede, but we will not return. The last straw was the removed lasagna a la forne. We threw it away. Fried and tasteless... Called and was offered to choose something else. But declined. Very unfortunate, but there really needs to be another chef in the kitchen otherwise things won't get better unfortunately. It's a shame because there isn't much on offer and the location looks fantastic.

The pizzas were very tasty, but the crusts were very hard.

Nice and spacious in relation to the restaurant in Haarlem. Slightly different menu, but the pastas and oven dishes are very tasty. It's not warm inside, but hey...I dress for it in winter and autumn. In spring and summer you no longer hear anyone say that it is cold ;) Staff friendly and prompt. When it is busier, it may take a little longer. They have vegan options, unique in the center of Heemstede! Prices are reasonable, especially by Heemstede standards. Oh, and don't forget the Limoncello! Very tasty

You really shouldn't go here for real Italian pizza, even New York Pizza and Dominos are better. I think it is rolled out with a rolling pin into a pancake with no air in it. Not crispy, undercooked in some places and way too much cheese. I'm sick of it. Tip for the owner, take a course and get a taste of what it should be like.

Nice atmosphere and delicious food!

5 stars! We had a fantastic experience at Pizzeria Novecento! Even though we came with a large group, we were served quickly and efficiently. The service was excellent and very friendly. Above all, the vegan pizza was one of the best I've ever eaten! It is clear that they take vegan food seriously and pay a lot of attention to quality and taste. This pizzeria is a really valuable addition to the Binnenweg. We will definitely come back!

Ordered 2 pizzas for €28.75. Never tasted such a dirty pizza before. The arugula either became too warm, perhaps because of the oven, or it was out of date, which made the pizza taste very strange. I didn't even dare eat the parma ham, it looked so bad. Besides the price, the taste and the ingredients, the pizza was also super small and thin (toppings)… I hope you will be contacted. So not used to it from Haarlem :(

Ate here last night, the lasagna was burnt, just like the pizza. I understand that the price is low, but this is not recommended. Something was said about this when they came 3 times to ask if everything was okay. Then I was offered a drink on the house, which was then credited to my account. Pity.

Excellent cuisine, delicious vegan pizzas. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and quiet. Staff is friendly at the table, but not very attentive. At the end of the evening when all the staff are hanging around the bar, there is clearly a lack of a good restaurant manager.

Was outside again after 1 minute, reserved for 3, got a small table for two (there were also 2 chairs). Left, disinterested lady at the entrance. Too bad about this.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, nice pizza, great toppings and calm atmosphere. The pizza choice on offer is also quite unique!

After we ordered food and drinks... we waited. Drink came, food didn't. After almost 1 hour nothing. Customers who arrived well after us did receive. Let's ask...the waiter went to ask but unfortunately no answer. Then ask again. Something with notes, very busy. Went to make it immediately. A table next to us also had to ask where it was. Finally it came. Direct discussion next to the table by the waiter. Turned out to be the wrong pizza calzone. When I asked what was wrong, I had to ask again. Vegan instead of fish. We have thanks for remaking. Drinks paid and left quickly. Where is the leadership? Furthermore, it was very cold there. Didn't eat and still had a bad experience. For the first and certainly the last. Shame!

Delicious food. Pizza was richly topped.

When you pick up food that has been burned several times, so at the restaurant itself. We get a pizza with a pound of wet lettuce on top. Out of politeness, our son eats 3 pieces, but can't eat the rest. When we report this to the service, we are simply unlucky and do nothing with it. You can also have a discussion when paying, because they give you 2 euros too little back. They have lost a family that regularly attended both novecentos. Something like that can happen, but it doesn't always happen differently and you don't take responsibility for it. The customer friendliness is lacking and the food is far below standard.

Quiet atmosphere and delicious food

At Novecento Heemstede we feel like home. Very friendly service and an excellent chef. We would like to convey our compliments and appreciation, especially through Anna and James. Keep it up.

It was a very nice atmosphere! Delicious food, the antipasti is highly recommended! Otherwise good and spontaneous service. Nice restaurant!

Wow, what a delicious penne bolognese this wonderful, atmospheric and, above all, hip restaurant serves. Especially when the chef makes it. Extremely tasty and also a good price-quality ratio. The service is always very friendly and welcoming and they always ensure a pleasant evening out. Sometimes I hear a chef singing from the kitchen, what an angelic voice! That also contributes to a great experience. I will definitely come back here many more times!
