Finally, I had dinner at Bakboord again, and as always, it was a real treat. The food is not only super fresh, but also incredibly delicious! It's also beautifully presented and served in a truly spectacular way. All thanks to the very friendly and helpful staff, who make everything a pleasant experience. Yes, I know, it's a bit more expensive to eat at Bakboord, but it's definitely worth it! I just don't eat there as often as I'd like 😉

When we made our reservation, we requested champagne and caviar to begin our meal upon arrival. The champagne arrived literally half a minute after we were seated, while the caviar took a full 20 minutes. A bit of a shame, because the dish itself was beautiful: a warm waffle with (albeit somewhat overpowering) smoked eel and a generous dollop of caviar. A lovely start nonetheless. We then opted for the 5-course chef's menu plus cheese. The lightly pickled mullet ceviche was beautifully presented, though it was noticeable that the ring of horseradish panna cotta tasted of practically nothing. The same couldn't be said of the next dish: a porcini mushroom soup with winter truffle, delicious, distinctive, yet subtle in its combination. Next up: sweetbreads, thankfully becoming increasingly popular in the Netherlands. Perfectly executed with Jerusalem artichoke and a delicious deep, sweet, and sticky jus. A bit classic, but why not? Then: three beef dishes. Eggplant skewer, flavorful stew in a crispy brick pastry shell with puffed tapioca pearls. The cheese was okay. The dessert was spectacularly composed with all sorts of toppings: sorbet, mousse, foam, crisps, and a passion fruit coulis. All in all, an interesting experience. Why not five stars? Just a few too many minor drawbacks (see above); we were seated a bit in the back (a bit unsociable and were bothered by loud-talking neighbors), and the service was very quick and a bit self-absorbed (they seemed unprepared to have you say something back now and then). But overall, a great experience. We'll be back in a year!

The food was delicious, what an explosion of flavors! Every dish was a surprise and perfectly seasoned. I absolutely recommend eating here.

I had a cup of coffee on the lovely terrace. No cookie was included, so I asked if they had anything. It was difficult, difficult. I ended up with one Madelaine for €2, but later I saw on the website that two Madelaine cookies cost €2. It's about the idea, not the money, but then don't serve it to people who just want a cup of coffee.

Today we dined at Restaurant Bakboord for the first time. What an explosion of flavors, excellent presentation, and very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is uniquely located in the harbor basin of Almere Haven. Fine dining at its finest. We opted for the four-course surprise menu, and every course, from amuse-bouche to dessert, was exquisitely flavorful, a feast for the eyes, and meticulously composed, prepared, and presented. Highly recommended, fantastically situated terrace, right on the water in the heart of the marina.

Higher price restaurant, but everything is perfect

Uitgenodigd voor een zakenlunch bij Bakboord in de haven bij Almere. Klinkt als een leuk lunchtentje voor een snelle hap. Maar niets was minder waar. Sfeervolle locatie met uitzicht over het water en echt fine dining. Prachtig vormgegeven en zeer smakelijke amuses. Het lunch menu bestaat uit 3 gangen, voor mij eenvoudig aan te passen naar geen vis. Heerlijke smaken, mooie vormgeving en ter afsluiting nog koffie met goddelijke madeleines. Dit was dus zwaar boven verwachting!

Ze hebben oesters avond , terwijl ze weet het niet hoe moet deze gepresteerde., op warm schaal, jullie moeten schamen om deze avond te organiseren, daae naast geen iets voor kinderen, en ook slecht duur hapjes die niet te vreten ,met oesters ,

We had dinner here for my boyfriend's birthday. The food was phenomenal, the wine pairings were delicious, and the service was friendly. If anything went wrong, they were always promptly resolved. All in all, a wonderful evening out! We'll definitely be back.

Mijn vrouw en ik werden uitgenodigd door 2 van haar managers. We kozen gezamelijk voor het 4 gangen diner, waarbij 1 van ons het wijn arrangement nam. We werden verwelkomd met 2 amuses en een allerzaligst broodje met gezouten roomboter. De wijn werd bij elke gang uitvoerig toegelicht, en naar ik begrepen heb waren zonder uitzondering enorm goed passend bij de gangen. De gangen waren elk een plezier om naar te kijken, en een genot om te consumeren. Het diner was voortreffelijk, de bediening vriendelijk en met de juiste afstand, de tafelgenoten gezellig. Een prima avond. Één klein kritiekpuntje, wat wellicht lag aan het feit lag dat wij erg laat afrondden, de amuse bij de rekening was geen succes.

Denial of service w/o any reason

We hadden een surprise party voor iemand die met pensioen ging. Los van het heerlijke eten, de lekkere wijn en het ijs als dessert moeten alle credits naar het bedienend personeel en de keuken gaan. Het was reuze gezellig maar er was geen enkele communicatie met de keuken die tussen alle speeches door de verschillende gangen moest serveren. Dus dank jullie voor het geweldige improviseren om er een onvergetelijke middag van te maken!

Yesterday we had lunch at the invitation of friends. To our surprise there was a group having lunch. We were sitting in the adjacent room, not even in the restaurant section where the group was staying but we could not understand each other for the first hour and a half and even after that it remained very noisy, a very unpleasant experience. If our friends had known this they and we certainly would not have come. The experience of good food was completely ruined.

Okay what a hidden gem this is, maybe because it is located in Almere and the outside makes you think of a big brown café, but then.. Then you enter and it is a fine dining concept where the flavors blow you away. Chef Lars is unique in his style, high on taste, classic but with an Asian twist here and there. The high tea was also delicious and such a recommendation to experience.

Restaurant Bakboord, Almere Haven, wimps. This covers the introduction. What a good restaurant in a fantastic location. A lovely terrace at the harbour entrance, great to stay. From the Champagne, to the amuses, the sourdough bread with home-made butter to the matching wine arrangement, everything really very good. The dishes well seasoned, wine-food in order, service alert and friendly. We will definitely moor here again with our boat for a wimpy experience!

Today we had a delicious lunch at Restaurant Bakboord. I took my clients, a group of 11 ladies, out for dinner as part of the program they are following. And this was truly a gift to give. Everything was arranged down to the last detail. We started with a delicious amuse, fresh bread was served at the table and the main course – entrecote, lamb and a vegetarian option – not only looked beautiful, but was also really delicious. Super tasty flavors, different textures… it was truly an experience. The setting made it complete. We sat outside on the terrace, in a beautiful, quiet place, so we could even work a little together. It was simply a perfect afternoon. The service was top: friendly, attentive and everything went smoothly. The communication in advance to arrange and organize everything was also very nice. I have been coming to Bakboord for years, but to now also be able to receive my clients on behalf of my company in such a beautiful place was truly fantastic. The other ladies also enjoyed it immensely. We will definitely come back here next time and are still enjoying this wonderful, well-organized day.

Ate this week, was all very much and tasty, only that meat and that cold fish, did not do my intestines any good. I almost got food poisoning.

Once again wonderfully pampered. Wonderful luxury. Would like to have lunch or dinner there every day. Unfortunately, a small hangover from the last time on May 17, 2025. We had something to celebrate, unfortunately a large group too. Very noisy, which ruined the exclusive experience of fine dining. It seemed more like a brown pub than a nice restaurant. Only compliments on the dinner with the matching wines again.

An absolute must for the connoisseur and lover of excellent service. Delicious food, everything was perfect from A to Z. Unfortunately no more photos of the beautiful dishes. Wine list is excellent!!

Very good experiences with Bakboord, both private and very regularly business. We regularly rent the closed meeting room here combined with a dinner and always neatly taken care of down to the last detail, good food, good service and super nice ambiance. An asset to Almere!

Unfortunately, no photos were taken of the beautifully laid out plates. We had dinner here with a large group of 42 people. It was over after a nice drink The beautiful terrace on the water, start with wine and water on the tables, but everything is made up for with a great 5-course menu! Everyone was very enthusiastic, the chef gets a round of applause from us! I will definitely go back again with my husband. Recommended!!

Restaurant Bakbord has been number 1 in my personal list of top restaurants for quite some time. The food is excellent every time and the seasonal dishes keep you coming back again and again. The service and service add a lot to this, you feel enormously appreciated as a guest. It is always a rich adventure of flavors at Bakschip! Absolutely recommended. Be sure to try the matching wines if you visit for dinner. The alcohol-free wines also pair well with the dishes.

Today our first visit to Bakbaas. Enjoyed a delicious lunch from start to finish. Each dish was beautifully presented and the wine pairings were perfect. We will definitely come back here one day.

Food was very good, service was also good but a little uncoordinated. Could use a little more structure, as we had to wait up to 40mins in between courses and the meat needs some more attention to detail in our opinion. All in all, we had a nice evening with very good food - but wouldn’t return with kids as there are no options for kids and the menu is rather inflexible.

Absolute recommendation, both the food and the service. Can't wait until the sun comes out and the terrace is open.

We tried the chef’s menu in this restaurant. The food is good but not worth the price of the menu. We were in many restaurants and the chef’s menu is always surprising but in this case there was no flavour or dish that was exceptional or we would remember for a few days. My wife is pregnant and all the dishes were changed for her, thanks for the effort but this again didn’t happen in many other restaurants as the cheeses were always pasteurised. Just one alcohol free beer option, not really nice though. In my opinion many things should be improved in this restaurant before I can recommend it.

The best restaurant in the region for years. Nice atmosphere, beautiful view and fantastic food. This time only lunch but it was delicious again.

Beautiful restaurant and seriously tasty food. To our surprise, there was no a la carte on our reserved Saturday evening. Wasn't mentioned anywhere and nothing was said about it by management. Restaurant was 2 degrees too cold. The neighbors were also bothered by it. At Bakbaas you can go out for an evening. You pay a lot for the food and the ambiance. This also includes neat clothing for service. We saw baggy sweaters/t-shirts. At the very least, wear a blouse or shirt. By the way, I also sent these comments directly via the requested assessment, but received no response. Then in public.

I have already tried many high teas, but after today the one from Bakklop restaurant is number one. The dishes were surprising, all tasty and beautifully prepared. In addition, the staff was friendly and attentive. After this experience I will visit this restaurant more often!

Like every Christmas, they have shown again what they are capable of here. And end the dinner with a Cappucino made and served by Chris Bos. Hard to imagine that it could be better.

We had a 6-course dinner at this restaurant for Christmas Day. The welcome was warm and we were neatly taken to the table. After several appetizers, one delicious dish after another is served. All dishes were delicious and beautifully prepared. We enjoyed it and definitely an address to come back to. Thank you for a perfect Christmas Day.

Op de dag voor Kerst bij Bakboord met onze vrienden van de Kerstlunch genoten. Wat een feest! Een ronde tafel bij het raam met uitzicht op het IJsselmeer. Starten met 2 prachtige amuses gevolgd door gerechten met tonijn, coquilles, zwezerik, hertenbiefstuk en een heerlijk dessert met “spekkoek” met chocolade en lychees ijs. Elk gerecht qua smaak en presentatie kunstwerkjes. Voeg er een goed glas wijn en een koffie met zoetigheden ter afronding aan toe en je komt voor deze keukenbrigade en vriendelijke bediening uit op een dikke tien.

We were with a group of 14 persons in a separate room. Service, food and atmosphere are on same level i.e. very very good. Also the 'entremets' were very imaginative and abundant. All was done in approx. 2 hours. It for sure deserves the money. This is a place where you see in your pate that staff have passion for what they do. Carry on please !

We ended our wedding day with a private 7-course dinner from the chef. In a word, it was a great experience. The food was all delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was extremely correct and also cordial and pleasant. The bridal couple and guests had a wonderful evening.

Nicely located on the harbour, plenty of parking. Cozy furnishings, a bit dark. Friendly welcome. Jacket was duly accepted. Curious cutlery on the table upon arrival. I would recommend making a reservation. Warm, freshly baked roll with some herb butter beforehand - very tasty, but in other restaurants they put it out for free; here it immediately costs eight euros. The chef's surprise menu is being pushed a bit; the normal menu is somewhat unclear about the nature of the dishes under the various headings. Main courses do not come with garnishes, fries and salads must be ordered separately. We did get a tasty appetizer. How did it taste? My monkfish was slightly undercooked, but the taste was surprising and excellent, the fries (thick bars, Belgian style) were also good. However, both main and side dishes (fries, artichoke) were way too salty. 30-50% less salt, I would say to the chef! The espresso was good, I thought the prices were on the very high side for what was offered. Would I go again? Yes, but not if I had to pay for it myself. And that cry from waiters: "good choice", after giving an order, no matter how well-intentioned, remains irritating. You are not entitled to judge my taste, sir, be it positive or negative.

Ik had in de zomer een wat kritische beoordeling over gehaast personeel geschreven toen we buiten aten. Deze keer was het weer helemaal tot in de puntjes perfect. Zowel het eten was weer zo heerlijk en mooi gepresenteerd en ook de rust was terug in de bediening. Ik blijf dus na al die jaren een trouwe klant en kijk alweer uit naar de volgende keer 💐🤝❤️

But after seeing it the other guests immediately regretted it we wouldn't have taken it. We will definitely say yes to that next time.

Eigenlijk is er op de gerechten weinig aan te merken. De presentatie is zelfs uitstekend te noemen. Wat de waardering vermindert is het gebrek aan gastheerschap. Het personeel komt gehaast over en neemt maar net genoeg tijd op een toelichting te geven bij een gerecht en verdwijnt dan weer zo snel mogelijk. Je krijgt daardoor het idee dat je gevoederd wordt.

We had the 4-course dinner and included a cheese board as an extra course before desert. Appetizers were also served. In short, an extensive dinner. No "wine arrangement" (or other alcoholic drinks) for us, but mainly spring water. It was a special culinary experience that made us forget the time: beautifully served, unusual, surprising dishes. An explanation was given for each course. The atmosphere at portside is relaxed, informal. As a non-gastronomic expert, I have experienced Bakbaas as a restaurant that is absolutely worth a detour.
