Restaurant Bazar in Rotterdam Centrum

The food was good at the place we chose for Sunday breakfast, but most of the staff, except for a few, acted as if they didn't know why we were there. Also, there was a cold draft inside, so we couldn't stay for very long.

Nice atmosphere, delicious food and friendly service.

A very nice place where you can come without necessarily having a reservation. The staff is welcoming, the service is incredibly fast, and they have a good oriental menu with generous portions.

I ate here with a group of several people, and we asked for different kinds of meat and chicken. We literally got a few pieces of chicken and meat, and more than half of the pieces were mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. And the food was COLD! The rice, meat, and bread. I definitely don't recommend this and won't be back.

I walked into Bazaar with only hunger in my stomach, but left the building feeling cleansed. The atmosphere was warm and lively, a kind of organized chaos that makes your heart beat a little faster. Staff? So friendly that I briefly wondered if I'd accidentally stumbled into a parallel universe where everyone is trained by grandmothers with endless patience, tea, and cookies. In short: Bazaar wasn't a meal, but a poem written in herbs. Mountains of food, warm as the sun in your chest. That lifts your depression.

The food was delivered super fast! We had a really delicious meal with colleagues.

Pretty disappointing experience. The staff looked bored the whole time and had this “I don’t really care” vibe, which you immediately feel as a guest. Part of my food came out cold, but the worst was the service overall. Our waiter accidentally broke the plate with our bread — fine, accidents happen — but he took the rest of the bread away and never brought new one, even though we still had hummus on the table. We had to ask for it ourselves, and then it showed up on the bill. I had to tell them we’re definitely not paying for bread that was supposed to replace the one they broke. After the mains, we asked for dessert. Nobody checked on us for 40 minutes. When we finally gave up and went to pay, we found out the waiter never even ordered the dessert. Food might be okay, but the service completely ruined the visit. Definitely expected more.

The wait for food is long. Once the dishes arrived they tasted great but not all of it was warm. Atthe end of our visit we ordered pancakes which we never got because the waiter did not submit the order for us and all the other waiters just ignored us for 40 minutes.

Good atmosphere, prety lights. The food was alright. The prices are not bad for a restaurant in Rotterdam.

Bazar has a fantastic atmosphere and is a hotspot, but the food (vegetarian option) was subpar for us. The dishes were simply tasteless and unoriginal. The service left much to be desired. Such a shame!

Food quality and taste are too Worse ...too much oily and lacks flavor

Food was bland, tasteless and awful. A huge disappointment. Seemed like the restaurant focused more on the decorations and aesthetics, rather than the dining experience. Please avoid at all costs to save your evenings.

Despite I loved the decoration, but spotted two mice behind the glass walls on the first floor last time moving up and down the colorful glasses (attached picture) and one even scurried out! Seriously disappointing me. Hope the owner gets this sorted ASAP, especially in the kitchen/food storage areas. 🤢

The Panini Merguez was disappointing. The salad with Turkish bread filled with cheese was excellent! Very good value for money. The price was ok!

Rushed, lukewarm food. The starter arrived simultaneously with the main course and was on the table within 10 minutes. It was very busy on a Saturday, so you feel like you have to eat quickly and leave to make room for the next person. It might be better during the week, but this time it was very disappointing compared to two years ago. It's not for me. I don't taste the love and attention that goes into the food.

Largely overrated in my opinion. The restaurant is considered a reference for Middle Eastern food in Rotterdam but I’ll recommend to go somewhere less crowded and a bit more authentic. The food lack taste and spices and doesn’t honour middle eastern culinary standards. On top of that they charge 90cts per glass of water. The service was good though and the place is beautiful!

Very disappointing food, fake adana kebab with intense lamb fat smell. We told them that your food is very bad, and the response was that, other people liked it!!! Go fool yourself…

Food was definitely reheated. Calamari straight out of a frozen back, pre cooked and microwaved 🥲🥴 Main was average and service couldn't make you feel less welcome.

The veal was absolutely terrible. My husband's was cold. He got a new plate, but it was of exceptionally poor quality. Sooooo tough. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back here anytime soon.

I really loved the food and ambiance.

One of my always-favorite places to have middle astern food. The dishes big and portions are generous. I have been visiting here for the last 13 years and rarely had any complain. I highly recommend Dande’. So if you are a fan of spare ribs, you will probably love this one too.

Been here several times during my student years and came back again after 10+ plus years and it is still the same! Tasty, a vibe and good service overall. The place is big with a lot of tables but they are always busy! Food is decent for what you pay and the service is always friendly and efficient. Came here for dinner but can equally recommend coming for the breakfast. Highly recommended. Will definitely add to my go to places when in Rotterdam.

The food is supposedly Turkish or Moroccan. It's more Persian. And since Persian cuisine relies heavily on spices, it's not for everyone. We had the wrong dish. And one waitress was, to put it mildly, perhaps stressed. The nicest thing about the restaurant was the decor.

Ok food, but the so-called saffron sauce did not contain saffron, only turmeric. The sound level was on the loud side, it detracts from the atmosphere.

A very cozy and atmospheric restaurant. Super friendly staff. The food was quite okay; we were only there briefly and ordered three small dishes. Four falafel on a bed of dried iceberg lettuce. Fried mini drumsticks with BBQ sauce, and a sandwich with steak, green beans, and bell peppers served with hummus and tzatziki sauce. The last dish really lacked more herbs and spices, making the flavor very bland. Without the sauces, it wasn't anything special. The other two dishes were presented rather blandly. Tip: Replace the dried lettuce with a small scoop of a salad of tomatoes, red onion, and a little vinegar and olive oil with fresh cilantro or parsley. It adds some color, makes it look more appealing, and makes it look more appetizing. I also found the drumsticks very dry. I had them wrapped and will add them to my noodle soup later 😄. The falafel was delicious; it's a shame there were only four. But considering the atmosphere, it's a super cozy restaurant! Lots of colour and beautiful Persian carpets on the top floor.

A colorful, vibrant, and global place. You can enjoy Middle Eastern flavors while sipping your beer. The portions are large and filling, and overall, the food is really tasty.

We went to this restaurant on recommendation and were disappointed. -The mixed grill was terrible. It was undercooked, and there were hairs in two different dishes. -It has a reputation for being overcrowded. -My husband nearly threw up when he saw the hair, and he turned pale. My little daughter was already hungry, so she only ate a pomegranate seed. -We left hungry and paid 44 euros. We ate simit at Simit Sarayı.😀 Especially for Turks coming from Turkey, never go there!!

Hair in the cheese. No more simit and acma at 12 o'clock, no mention of when ordering. Paid full price and still went home empty-handed.

There were four of us at this restaurant. Even though it was almost full, the attentive staff quickly found us a seat – thank you very much for that. We ordered a variety of dishes: the fish and chicken were unfortunately a bit cold, but the Adana kebab was warm and very tasty. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are exceptionally appealing and lend the visit a special atmosphere. Overall, a pleasant experience with minor drawbacks regarding the food.

Quick service, friendly staff, and generous portions. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The meat didn’t taste fresh or tender, and it arrived at our table surprisingly fast. The inside of the kebab was completely red, which was not pleasant at all.

We had a great meal and didn't have to wait for it and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday evening.

It was a terrible dinner experience. The Turkish food was overly spicy and didn't taste like Turkish food. We were served canned goods. We ordered fish soup, wraps, mixed shish kebabs, and fish shish kebabs. There were four of us, and none of us liked it. The meat was raw. The fish soup was extremely heavy and I think it was spoiled. We're still feeling nauseous. It's been two hours since we finished our meal. It was a terrible dinner. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money. I hope they take this feedback into consideration, and we've shared our thoughts with the business.

Food was of moderate quality. The falafel sandwich came with the ingredients next to the bread. I ordered a sauce to the bogrek, but it came after I was nearly done eating.

Beautiful oriental decor, great atmosphere, it was packed (it was also harbor days). The menu is very varied and offers excellent value for money. The way the men carry the large trays of food up the stairs is truly impressive. Deep respect for those hard workers. A wonderful experience to dine here!

We waited an hour and a half for the main course. It took half an hour for the appetizers to arrive, and then an hour for our main course. The food was not good at all, the meat was endless, chewing on it. After all, after waiting that long, the terrible meat ruined our entire evening. The atmosphere was nice, but I will never come back.

The interior is truly impressive, but unfortunately, we weren't quite as impressed with the food. The €7.50 starter per person was a bit disappointing in terms of both content and quantity, and the chicken skewers were unfortunately a bit dry.

No more shame? Serving rotten hummus? Hummus, huh? Is it standard practice to only make and serve it on the same day? Or do you make 300,000 pounds of hummus, keep it in the fridge, and then serve it to your customers late, leaving them home sick that evening? I think it's time to replace the kitchen staff, or it's high time the board and management take stock. In any case, a hygiene inspection wouldn't hurt your business. It looks like you can get meat skewers to the table in under two minutes. I'd like to know what kind of grill you use...probably a chef's microwave.

Today we just went by there we were well served only my daughter's dish was not fresh she had ordered hummus it stank and she had a lot of pain when she got home vsp keep an eye on your cooks do not give just any rotten food think about the health of your customers

Had a very bad meal today at the Hotel Bazar restaurant. My partner's and my food were clearly reheated. Tasteless, lukewarm, and tough meat. Yuck! We used to have good food here, but this was definitely the last time. Tourist food, unfortunately, of poor quality.

Great atmosphere, the place is enormous so there's almost always space to sit. We had breakfast and it was big in variety. I would not come back necessarily for breakfast because nothing was "outstanding" but I am sure we are gonna come back for the real food and re-assess. The only problem is that when is crowded.. is REALLY crowded. Bathrooms are very clean! Waitress was super kind.

A restaurant with a very cozy, heated terrace. The food is good, plentiful, and very competitively priced. I had a very good experience in this beautiful city. The service is excellent. Our friends who live nearby often go there. They recommended it to us, and we recommend it too. Ideal for lunch after a leisurely stroll through museums, plays, exhibitions, etc.

If you're here for the first time, be careful not to overorder. The dishes are served as shared dining options and are plentiful. We took four bowls home with us. The food is good value for money; we spent €180 for five people, including drinks. I personally find Turkish food a bit dry, but this time there was a chickpea and mushroom stew that made it a delicious sauce.

We ordered the meat special, which arrived within two minutes. It was clear it had been prepared in advance. lukewarm, with a dry texture from sitting under a heat lamp. On top of that, both my partner and I found it terribly under-seasoned. A shame, because the presentation and ambience suggested a much better experience than what we actually had.

It was, as the name suggests, a bazaar, a matter of taste, otherwise ok.

In een leuke ambiance worden prima gerechten geserveerd. Lekker ja, maar niet echt wow... Meeste van het personeel loopt er plichtmatig rond en je krijgt het gevoel er zo snel mogelijk weer weg te moeten. Er kunnen immers weer andere gasten plaats nemen. Al bij al net de 4 sterren waard.

Tegenover het oog zh 3 afspraken en de derde na de lunch. Heerlijke vissoep met veel zalm en andere vissoorten. Mijn man kalfsvlees en ook echt een aanrader. Te veel heerlijke gerechten salades moeilijk om te kiezen. Wij komen uit Leiden maar is de moeite waard om er een keer heen te rijden

Das Essen war im besten Fall durchschnittlich. Das Restaurant liegt an einer Poser-Straße. Die ganze Zeit reißen Motorräder und Sportwagen den Gashahn voll auf, wesentlich lauter lasches in Deutschland möglich ist. Viele Studenten.

D'accord, nous ne sommes nullement dans le nouveau temple de la gastronomie mondiale; c'est exact, le service est un peu dans les choux par moments; oui, je le conçois, le sous-sol est un bric-à-brac qui n'inspire pas nécessairement une confiance démesurée. Mais. Mais il faut remettre les choses dans leur contexte et mettre le curseur au bon endroit. Quand on demande 7 euros pour une soupe Tunisienne, on ne peut pas attendre la lune. Et honnêtement, à Bruxelles, je connais de très nombreux établissements qui demandent le double pour une portion divisée par deux par rapport à ce que j'ai reçu, et alors que ce qui m'a été servi ne pleurait ni le poisson ni les légumes. Pire: c'était bon!

Bediening erg aardig, eten was heerlijk, sigara boregi verrukkelijk maar.....de toiletwijziging na corona voor de dames is afschuwelijk !! De prachtige toiletten beneden, die met de spiegels voor dames bestemd zijn , worden nu door mannen gebruikt die enkel komen plassen. De nieuwe dames toiletten boven zijn een afgang, heel lelijk en het nodigt niet uit om even lippenstift of haren bij te werken.

Tweede keer dat het eten echt ver beneden niveau is. Vaak alvast voorbereid en droog en vettig. Na zoveel jaar hotspot geweest te zijn is het nu toch echt wel klaar voor ons. Enige 2 sterren is voor de ambiance.
