Had another delicious lunch at Bellevue Willemstad! We go here for lunch every once in a while. Always good and cozy! Beautiful location, delicious food, and the service is nice and friendly! We love coming here ❤️

The salmon salad was a small bag of lettuce with pieces of salmon and a few slices of cucumber. There really wasn't much love put into it. The brown bread carpaccio was delicious. We had a tonic and a sparkling water with it and paid 46 euros. The service was okay.

2 x broken glass. With a double dish, 1 portion of fries instead of 2, even though fries are included with and paid for with every dish.

A nice terrace by the water with a view of several beautiful boats. The staff was friendly and efficient. I had bread with burrata myself. The bread is deliciously fresh. I would have liked a bit more basil dressing on it for more flavor. The lunch special tasted good. However, the sauce could have a bit more truffle flavor. Tastes differ, of course, as someone else might find it sufficient. Overall, we had a great meal here.

Bad. I will never go there again. Reservation placed by phone and email. Upon arrival, we were told it had been cancelled. That wasn't true. They made a huge fuss about getting another table, even though there were plenty of tables available. We ended up eating at a table intended for 4 people instead of 5 as reserved, which meant sitting inside where no one was sitting, and in very hot weather. *Arrogant service from a young man. *Fries instead of rice…. “We can’t do that”… * I’d like the sauce separate from the fish; “wasn’t possible” .. All in all, not worth repeating. 😡

We had a nice meal yesterday at restaurant Bellevue. I asked for the bill, paid cash, had to pay 67.30 euros, gave him 70 euros, the waiter said, is that okay or do you need your 2.70 euros back? Sorry, but that is so rude... I am not stingy, and I certainly would have given him a tip, but doing it this way, that was just a bit too bold for me.... And I put my change in with my wallet.... We did have a nice meal though 😉

We both ordered lunch: one with fish and one with meat. It was no problem to switch the carpaccio to ham on the bone, which we really appreciated. The portions were not very large, but certainly sufficient, and we enjoyed our meal. The value for money is good. Additionally, the location is very pleasant: you have a beautiful view over the water and occasionally see a yacht docking. That makes it a nice place to quietly enjoy lunch. Highly recommended for a tasty lunch in a beautiful location.

Had lunch out with my son. Ordered the satay with fries, but unfortunately, the fries were not served. The chicken satay was overcooked with hard pieces. When I finished the satay, the fries they had forgotten finally arrived. I sent them back. Unfortunately, they weren't deducted from the price either. One skewer without fries for €22 feels very bad, and I will never go back there again. What a disappointment.

Although several tables (around 10) were unoccupied, the staff insisted there was no room for four people – all tables were reserved. Only after asking two other servers were we finally able to squeeze together two tables. The food was delicious. Given the location, everything was a bit overpriced. Incidentally, all the reserved tables remained empty…

Restaurant Bellevue's location is fantastic. The view and the location are absolutely the strong points of this place. Unfortunately, this will likely have been our last visit. I ordered a cappuccino, but I sent it back because the milk was very watery. The new cappuccino that was made afterwards was unfortunately no better. We also did not like the coffee itself. The apple pie seemed to come straight from the freezer; it was very cold and therefore not what you would expect from a fresh piece of pie. The whipped cream was not firm and turned into a white puddle on my plate within a short time. The staff, on the other hand, was very friendly and hospitable, which certainly deserves a compliment. However, we feel that the quality of the products, as well as the furniture and the terrace, could use more attention. The terrace flooring also gave an unkempt impression. Given the prices, you expect more quality and style. Unfortunately, we do not consider the price-quality ratio to be in proportion: in our opinion, you pay too much for what you get.

We ate here with 10 people in July 2026 and the price/quality ratio was great. Every dish looked delicious and everyone really liked it! Definitely worth repeating 👌🏻

Very enjoyable (new) formula after refurbishment: French bistro style. Both in food and ambiance close to the real stuff but with pleasant Dutch accents. Classical French dishes but not "standard": very well balanced in flavour

The food was just a bit disappointing, especially for that price. And the staff seemed to forget about us every time, even though it really wasn't very busy and there was plenty of staff. But then they walked past time and time again, while we really had empty glasses, the starters had already been cleared away, and no one came to ask if we wanted anything else. It was impossible to get any attention. So when someone finally came, we just paid and left: too bad.

Very mediocre! The satay was cold and the atjar lukewarm. 1 satay skewer with sauce from a bucket, eight pieces of cassava, mealy fries, and a bit of Atar for €21. I wouldn't order a glass of Chardonnay here.

Great view and a beautiful location

I was in Willemstad to visit my family. We where with a group off 8 people we all drink cocktails etc. At some point they say the bar is closed but one hour later still full trays of beer and one tray full of wine. So the bars was not closed. So staff is very selective who they serve. Aswell next to us people ordered food. They waited for more then 1.5 hour and when the food came 2 orders where wrong and i hear them saying chips is cold.

Way too expensive!!!! 2 coffees that are barely full and lukewarm, and 2 apple tarts 20 euros!!!!!!

Never been to Willemstad before, but it is so beautiful there! Had a drink at Bellevue at lunchtime; what an amazing place! We will definitely be back here soon for a nice, cozy bite to eat.

My husband went to this restaurant in Willemstad for a drink. I joined him and had a ginger tea. We decided to eat here. We decided to have a platter for two. Due to having had PANCREATIC CANCER AND SURVIVING IT, I have to have a medication called CREON. This has to be taken with a cold drink. We asked a waiter for water. We didn’t explain that I needed it so that I could take medication to allow me to eat. We waited and waited. Waited and waited. Then I asked my husband, “ Which waiter was it?” He was clearing a nearby table. I went up to him and touched his back. I said to him,” We ordered water. I can’t eat until I have water.” He made a comment because I had disturbed his pleasant chat with those at the table. He brought us two glasses of water. He turned away and said,”BUT NEXT TIME SIR, CONTROL YOUR WIFE!” He was a young man. I was furious. What would you have replied? What would you have done

After 1.5 hours, they still hadn't come to ask me what I wanted to drink or eat. Then I had to wait another hour until I got my food, and this food was disgusting. The toilet hasn't been cleaned for 4 days; there was even poop on the wall and in the toilet. After this, they forced me to give an additional 200 euro tip on top of this very high amount. I paid them and left. Plus, there was vomit in the sink. People, do not eat here for your own safety.

The three of us had a fantastic meal outside on the terrace. The service was superb, the food top-notch, and the atmosphere amazing. Great value for very good food.

We always come here for a lunch. They have a good variety and for a very good price. Nice view at the harbour. Friendly people. The price is very good and they give you good portiers. Also for dinner a good location. A reservation is requiem because it can be very busy.

What a dump! Avocado brioche = Dried-out factory-made thingy with a sort of, also factory-made, guacamole sauce poured over it. Other dishes were also topped with a lot of -Hanos- factory slop. In the end, we (a group of 8), despite having asked for it before making the reservation, were NOT allowed to pay separately. The unpleasant way in which this was communicated, and the way the "blame" was placed on us, was the culmination of a disappointing lunch! Fortunately, our group was very pleasant and sociable.

Excellent establishment in Willemstad with a large terrace overlooking the harbor. Good service.

We've been coming here for years; the location is beautiful and the service is fast and friendly. Unfortunately, we've noticed that the 12-hour fish menu is deteriorating year after year. The vegetables were just three tiny pieces of lettuce, and the fish was nowhere to be found. There used to be at least some salmon. This could be improved, and there should be more variety on the plate.

My daughter and her friends had high tea at Bellevue for her 12th birthday. Everything was perfectly arranged! A lovely location, delicious high tea with fresh ginger tea, delicious sandwiches, and a variety of sweet treats. The service was also very friendly and attentive, which made the party extra special. I highly recommend it!

What a breath of fresh air, and what an example of true hospitality at Restaurant Bellevue in Willemstad. My wife knocked on their door because, due to a medical condition, she often has sudden urges to go. She politely asked if she could use the restroom for a fee. Before she could even finish the request, the host, with a smile and genuine friendliness, directed her directly to the restroom. His response touched her deeply: "It should be possible to use the restroom everywhere." No discussion, no conditions, no cold policies; just humanity, empathy, and class. This is hospitality in its purest form. Not feigned, not commercial, but from the heart. Restaurant Bellevue showed that true service isn't about luxury or pretense, but about how you treat people when it matters most. A huge compliment to the host and the entire team. This kind of humanity stays with you and makes you not only want to come back, but also want everyone to experience it.

Good restaurant for both lunch and dinner. *update 2026* The quality of Restaurant Bellevue has unfortunately deteriorated. The club sandwich, the bread was unfortunately quite dry, very thin slices. The chicken was on the dry side. The toasted avocado on brioche, the avocado was more mashed than "smacked," was also quite disappointing. The service was otherwise excellent. Drinks were brought quickly.

The atmosphere was good but because it was not warm in the restaurant I only give 3 stars

You could tell the kitchen puts a lot of love into everything. But what truly made the evening special was Rick's fantastic service. What a wonderful host! Attentive, welcoming, and with just the right dose of humor. He made us feel immediately at ease and took excellent care of us the entire evening. The atmosphere at Bellevue is simply fantastic: a beautiful view, a cozy ambiance, and just that little bit extra that makes you not only eat well, but truly enjoy yourself. In short: highly recommended! We will definitely be back – thank you Rick and the Bellevue team for an unforgettable evening!

We had high tea at Bellevue. It was delicious and cozy! The sweets were very simple and not homemade. The savory sandwiches, however, were delicious. They were the same kind of sandwiches, but with different fillings. I wouldn't rush to have high tea here again. But I would definitely come back just to eat à la carte!

Last Saturday, I had a wonderful high tea with my sister! We had made a reservation for 2:00 PM, but unfortunately, the food didn't arrive until 2:30 PM :( The sandwiches were delicious and well-prepared! The sweet treats, however, came straight from the freezer... That was a shame, actually. The tea flavors were varied, with fresh ginger and mint! Otherwise, highly recommended!

Went for high tea today. Charming place. Friendly staff. Good food and delicious! More than enough snacks. It was the first high tea we had and we really enjoyed it! Hot water was always refilled. The tea options were extensive and deliciously fresh: fresh mint, lemon, orange slices, ginger, honey—it was fantastic. We will definitely be back. Beautiful view, great spot.

The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was very friendly and not overly intrusive. My wife and I were so impressed that we came back the next evening, and everything was just perfect on our second visit. We will definitely be back.

The burgers were absolutely delicious, a bit American-style, but fresh with delicious patties in between. A generous portion, and the spareribs were delicious and well-grilled with ketjap. Highly recommended. The price for the quality was excellent. My only tip is to turn the music down a bit, especially the bass.

A truly terrible lunch experience. The price-quality ratio is completely off. The satay wasn't properly heated and tasteless. The fries were incredibly greasy, clearly fried in old frying fat, judging by the smell and taste. No more Bellevue for us!

There's annoying music playing constantly. Probably to avoid Buma-Stemra. Very annoying with the loud sounds. It detracts from the otherwise good location. Very friendly and attentive service.

Nice location by the harbor. The food was good: stir-fried mussels with a delicious sauce; unfortunately, a few mussels were broken or hadn't opened, so I couldn't eat them. The steak tartare starter was very tasty, but the portion could have been a bit larger. Drinks are on the expensive side. The service was friendly, but I found it a bit unsettling that there were always new people at our table.

The Bellevue Restaurant is located in Willemstad's city center, right on the harbor. We stopped here only because it was raining and had a hot chocolate. It was delicious and reasonably priced. There's a lovely view of the ships in the harbor. We didn't eat, but we did take a look at the menu, which looked promising and reasonably priced.

De bediening was prima en snel. De kipburger oké maar karig qua prijs kwaliteit. De ceasar salade was echt onder de maat met ansjovis uit het zuur? weinig parmezaanse kaas kunnen ontdekken. De salade was amper aangemaakt maar wel vers Wel olie en saladesaus gekregen op verzoek.De toegevoegde garnalen voor 8,50 extra bleken niet vers maar 4 gefrituurd garnalenstaartjes die apart besteld 7 euro hadden gekost (8 voor 14 euro). Niet chique.

The welcome was excellent, and the rest of the service was also very hospitable and friendly. The food was very good and certainly plentiful. So, I definitely recommend it for another cozy sit-down.

Initially, this restaurant seemed very pleasant and cozy. The service was friendly, and we immediately ordered a good wine with the three-course menu. The wine arrived quickly, as did the starter. After that, it went quiet... over an hour after the starter, we still hadn't received our main course, despite asking the staff twice. They repeatedly told us the main course was on its way. Meanwhile, everyone who arrived much later than us had already received their main course. When this happened again after we had been there for an hour and a half, we decided to leave. Everyone can make mistakes and forget about us, but the problem wasn't resolved, which is all the more important! If we had acknowledged it and offered us something, like a glass of wine, because the good bottle was long gone, things would have been different. When we left, the friendly waiter didn't charge for the starter, but hopefully, a lesson will be learned from this.

The only positive thing about this tourist trap is its location at the city harbor. Otherwise: disgustingly dirty floor, table not being cleaned, which I had to specifically request from the waiter, who couldn't understand me, even though we speak Dutch. The glass of rosé was laughable, barely two fingers high in the glass. It was then incorrectly charged at €7.30 instead of €5.50, without an apology. The staff were terrible; they barely spoke Dutch. This isn't our first time here, but it's definitely our last. There are much better places in Willemstad with friendly and professional service.

Good balance between quality and price; the food is good and price is not cheap but also not extremely expensive. We have been coming here for 18 years, usually it is good, very occasionally a little less. We will continue to come here.

Wij hebben afgesproken voor diner bij Bellevue. We moesten meer dan een uur wachten op 2 Agnus hamburgers terwijl het niet heel druk was. Helaas was de patat de style van Mac-Donald en koud, de hamburger redelijk maar in een snackbar veel beter. Na melding kregen wij zoete aardapelpatat als alternatief. Bellevue schaam je voor de kwaliteit wat je aanbied en voor een veel te hoge prijs. 2 Agnus hamburgers, cola zero (20ml) en 1 biertje (33ml) voor een prijs van 51,80

Great place at the harbour to catch your breath, have a drink or a snack and watch people. Today I was lucky to get a free table, many visitors were told everything was taken. Despite the crowd, the food is still served quickly and tasty. Recommended

Nice location, but a meager lunch with smart service. Small portions and when I order an avocado toast, I expect fresh avocado. My sandwich was more like supermarket guacamole. Poached egg was hard-boiled. Missed opportunity.

We had a great dinner. Food was excellent. Service very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. You can sit inside on cozy benches overlooking the harbor or enjoy the huge terrace outside. Definitely a place to go when you visit Willemstad.
