We held our Christmas dinner at this location this year and received nothing but positive feedback. So, it's definitely recommended for a night out.

Recently had a delicious lunch. Excellent food in a cozy setting with friendly service. About €50 per person (including drinks), great! We will definitely be back 👍

We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the dessert! We didn't expect it to be so quiet on a Sunday evening, but that didn't spoil the fun. What bothered me was the lingering smell of cleaning in the open kitchen. It's understandable that you want things clean, but my sense of smell, color, and taste were still "on" for the dinner that had just been finished.

The food was, as always, delicious, except there was no side dish with the fish. Even though it was delicious, and the sauce was great, it was still just too little to eat.

We had lunch today at "at the nuns." We hadn't made a reservation but still managed to get a table upstairs. It was a great spot! We had delicious sandwiches...pork belly and a babette club sandwich, a lunch platter, and for one of us, a gluten-free sandwich with carpaccio. All the dishes were beautifully presented, fresh, and prepared with care. The staff was also incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

What a lovely spot in Zundert! The intimate terrace, as well as the interior, is a great place to relax. The kitchen prepares surprising dishes, and the service is prompt and friendly. Despite the restaurant's size and the number of tables occupied, the acoustics were pleasant, allowing for a good conversation without raising your voice. The price-quality ratio is excellent, especially for the food served. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the dishes from the new concept. The fish soup and steak tartare were delicious, and I'll definitely be back, especially for the spring chicken.

The price-quality ratio is excellent, and even the details like the clean restrooms contribute to the wonderful experience. Compliments to both the service and the kitchen staff. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

Because the restaurant was closing, we wanted to redeem our gift certificates. The food was delicious and refined. However, we found the refill policy a bit disappointing.

We had a wonderful meal at the Nuns, sitting outside in the sunset. We thought it was a farewell, but thankfully they're continuing, albeit in a slightly different way, which is reason enough to go back soon!

Restaurant en plein centre ville, que l'on peut confondre avec un café. On peut se garer dans la rue. Il est très joli, c'est un ancien pensionnat de jeunes filles tenu par des religieuses. La carte est courte, les plats sont originaux , mais elle n'est disponible qu'en Néerlandais , utilisez votre smartphone pour traduire. Un conseil, pour évitez tout problème de commande, montrez à la serveuse sur la carte, le plat que vous souhaitez, bien qu'elle parle anglais. Ce n'est pas cher, on mange à deux pour une quarantaine d'euros. Il y a plusieurs plats vegans et végétariens Je le recommande chaudement.

Hadden grote verwachtingen. Wat meteen opviel is dat er te weinig personeel was. 3 gangen besteld. Het begon met oesters die niet op ijs lagen en dus niet koud waren. ER stond ook geen peper op tafel. De vissoep bestond uit een koud bord schelpen en schelpdieren waar uit een vaasje wat warme soep over gegoten werd. Dus binnen no time niet meer op temperatuur. Het hoofdgerecht was voor de één zeebaars (goed en lekker) voor de andere lamsvlees wat lauw/koud werd geserveerd. Al met al een deceptie.

I have eaten here a few times. Every dish was as beautiful as a painting. It was clear that the chef loved his job. It was really delicious! The service staff was also very friendly and worked very hard. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back!

Table d'hôtes 5 courses enjoyed with matching wines. As an extra starter oysters which are blubbing in an aquarium on the 1st floor (how fresh can you get them). Wine pairing went well with the dishes. Price quality very good. Keep level and price steady!!!!!! This restaurant is very much worth driving a bit for resp. for driving around.

Fantastic restaurant in the center of Zundert. We had seen a 4-5 course asparagus menu online, but that was not served tonight. 🤔 But what a delicious meal we had and luckily there was an asparagus main course. That was absolutely great. And especially the béarnaise sauce with a touch of tarragon vinegar was completely "off". Will definitely come back here.

We had a super nice welcome and the surprise menu was fantastic. We wanted to spoil our parents at De Nonnen. After a previous visit we thought this would be a nice place. Both quality and presentation were top notch. The service was also very friendly and nothing was too much! Highly recommended! Our parents also enjoyed it immensely (and they are somewhat normal).

A gem of a catering establishment. Situated in a former monastery. Attractive decor. Very extensive menu and an excellent drink selection guarantee a delicious lunch, dinner or otherwise. Employees are very hospitable and also extremely professional and enthusiastic. Many facilities available. A visit to this location is more than highly recommended.

Service was extremely poor. Food was ok and the atmosphere was not there either, almost empty restaurant on Sunday evening.

We expected more from this. Although the menu looked good beforehand, the dishes were a bit disappointing (but that may of course have to do with personal preference). Our place was also not very happy (on the first floor near the toilet). It was also quite chilly there, so we weren't really relaxing. We got the feeling that an attempt was made to accommodate as many guests as possible for Valentine's Day. The decoration and the present were very nice. Maybe we should try again in the summer, when the weather is good and on the terrace, and then just choose from the usual menu.

We recently celebrated our registered partnership with a small group at De Nonnen. We were helped in advance with the planning of this special day in a pleasant, friendly and thoughtful manner. The room 'De Refter' was reserved for us, a beautiful space to celebrate a party in a more intimate atmosphere! The champagne and food/drinks were very well presented. The food was tasty, varied and beautifully presented. Dietary requirements/ allergies were also taken into account. The service was very friendly. All in all a very nice experience. Thank you for helping to make this day possible!

Regularly come for lunch with my disabled brother. He is always greeted lovingly, they shake his hand and always have a short, small chat with him. It's amazing how they treat him. Always wave before he leaves

Een vast adres tijdens het bloemencorso en altijd goed. We beginnen altijd met koffie en gebak gevolgd door een lunch. Altijd gezellig druk dus het personeel heeft de handen vol maar ze werken snel. In de middag komen we nog even terug voor een drankje.

We took the menu d'hôte for 5 courses. It was absolutely delicious and the server was very and accomodating. When my girlfriend said the assorted wines might be too much for her, they kindly offered to serve smaller glasses at a lower price. Recommended!

We really enjoyed the food, culinary masterpiece. Although the service was super friendly, after arriving we were taken to our table where we had to wait at least 15 minutes before someone came by to take a drink.

We had a delicious meal on Christmas Eve from the 4-course menu. The presentation was sublime, it was always a painting on our plate. Special wishes have also been taken into account. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable and the interior was beautifully decorated in a Christmas spirit. It is also a very beautiful old building in beautiful condition. The dinner at Bij de nunen was the perfect end to our day with friends in the Netherlands. It is a charming restaurant and the service was very friendly. The food was not only a beautiful picture but also super tasty. The delicious house aperitif and excellent wine rounded it all off. It's a shame we live so far from Zundert, otherwise we could eat there more often. This restaurant is definitely recommended.

First time we have eaten here but I can only say that the food was excellent and the service was great. Too bad we were upstairs instead of downstairs. How the waiter took her elderly mother to the elevator and picked her up again, chapeau. We will definitely come again.

We hebben Bij de Nonnen fantastisch gegeten. Hoewel we aanvankelijk onze tafel boven, letterlijk en figuurlijk 'op de overloop', wat minder leuk vonden dan beneden was het er toch aangenaam. Zeker toen en meer gasten bij kwamen. Onze 90-jarige tafelgenoot kon keurig met de lift om hoog. De bediening was perfect en erg attent. Geen punt als er 3 keer gewisseld werd met het kiezen van de gerechten. De vissoep was mmmm heerlijk en zo ook de carpaccio. Als hoofdgerecht werd gekozen voor de tarbot en tournedos. Flinke porties en goed klaargemaakt met een heerlijke saus c.q. jus, overheerlijke aardappelgratin en beetgare verse groentes en knapperige frietjes. Toe koffie met friandises. Bij het verlaten werd onze oudere gast begeleid naar de lift en beneden weer opgevangen door onze aardige en attente ober. Een vermelding waard.

Was alweer tijdje geleden. Op een doordeweekse avond gegaan met een vriend om bij te praten. Reservering online ging goed. Superlieve vrouwelijke jonge serveerster, die is er al een tijdje. Behulpzaam, aardig. We hebben goed gegeten, de tournedos 2x was lekker, beetje extra saus bij gevraagd, dat kon. De frietjes waren gemiddeld, het aardappelgarnituur bij de tournedos was uitstekend. Goede keuken. Toiletten schoon. Plaats in restaurant was ook goed, in een hoek. We waren er vroeg om 18.00 uur. Minder was een krijsend kind (van de eigenaar?) Hij zat in de buurt van de keuken met een gast te praten denk ik. En dat kind krijste overal doorheen. Ik hoop dat het het kind van de gast was, dan kun je er nl niets van zeggen als gastheer. Na een minuut of tien werd het pas rustig. Al ging er toen een jongetje van een jaar of vier keihard langs tafels rennen. Ik vermoed dat je dat als ouder niet meer hoort of ziet, maar ik vond het als gast ontzettend storend. Degene met wie ik was om te eten eveneens. Terugkeren voor het eten: ja. Ambiance ook. Hou kleine peuters aub in toom, was heel storend. Het is een restaurant s avonds, geen kleutercreche.

My brother and I go here regularly. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere and you will not be looked at in a bad way if you just want to have a drink. Snacks and lunch are well catered for, perhaps a bit more pricey, but definitely worth it. Staff is very friendly, but sometimes a little more attention to detail may be needed. Once they forgot the bread that accompanied a dish and they did not provide napkins for fried snacks. But be quick to correct this!
