We were received very kindly. We wanted a different table because it would be quieter for our disabled daughter. Another table was offered without any problem. We enjoyed our meal. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. Asparagus, green beans, broccoli—not limp, but cooked through. Delicious! As soon as a plate was empty, it was cleared away. Getting a different cup instead of a regular mug for my daughter was no trouble either. In short, we will definitely come back here again.

We have been coming here annually with the family for many years. It has always been fine, but yesterday the food was of really poor quality. Many meat dishes were tough and the sushi dried out. Worst hospitality establishment ever for us. Upon entering, I already had a feeling of "no." Hmm. Few people; it feels like they are using Social Deal to lure people in. And this restaurant is a dying business. I soon found out that this feeling might very well be true... The food is of poor quality (tasteless or strange flavors and textures, such as whipped cream that is grainy and had a weird taste), cold and lukewarm food instead of hot, grilled meat was on the tough side and very salty, surly staff, and seriously an unpleasant owner. If he asks how your experience was and you indicate that you personally didn't have a very good experience, he gets angry immediately. At which point I thought, "I won't say anything further; you can sort it out yourself." If you treat your customers like that, you won't have many returning customers... Hygiene isn't great either, including quite a few flies on and around the food, tablecloths that still had stains on them, and the atmosphere is cutting, unpleasant, and cold. Do not buy a deal via SocialDeal; this is a real waste of money and a high chance of a very disappointing evening!

It is even worse than bad. Don't come here again!! My mom, over 80, had made a reservation for her birthday. Upon arrival, we were refused entry because my mother had forgotten to print out the reservation; we were spoken to quite rudely and aggressively—you know that, right? You should read better!! Despite a lot of words, they let us in anyway, with 8 people and 2 small children. This while it wasn't even busy? The food is really bad, torn off the grill and tough. And that guy behind the counter was so friendly too. Even though we hadn't paid for drinks, it takes a lot of effort to come by and ask if we want something to drink. We didn't like anything from the trays either, so we left some things untouched. We even got into an argument with a girl who didn't speak Dutch, saying it wasn't right that we left food untouched. Here too, the feeling is that the customer is a burden, and certainly not a king. A terrible place. From owner to staff, far below par. Oh right, he was friendly when settling the bill. We will never go there again and will warn everyone about this restaurant.

Had a terrible meal. Shrimp and sole are fried beforehand and warmed up on the griddle upon ordering...the result is dry. Steak is overcooked unless you pay attention. Garlic is also fried beforehand and you can add it later. It is actually not meant to be cooked along with the rest. The tenderloin was impossible to chew, so tough...all in all, very mediocre to bad. Teppanyaki is supposed to be the best, but you are better off getting ready-made. But then you would be better off going to an old-fashioned Chinese restaurant. There was also very little staff walking around, and they couldn't even manage a smile. Conclusion: it is a waste of money if you eat here.

We made a reservation via Social Deal for five people. We mentioned this politely upon arrival and gave our names; the gentleman in question grumbled that he couldn't find it, but we had to follow a lady. The table was spacious and fine, not too close to other tables. There was plenty of choice regarding the food, but the preparation hygiene at the griddle leaves much to be desired. Everything is thrown together on one griddle: cooked meat, raw meat, and just plain fish. The steak, however, was deliciously tender. The side dishes are nothing special; don't expect culinary masterpieces for that price. The drinks are terrible: you pay three euros thirty for a glass of tasteless vending machine cola without any fizz. You can also take an extra package for unlimited drinks, but that applies per person and must be for everyone in the entire party. Plates were cleared fairly quickly. When settling the bill, I politely mentioned again that it was the Social Deal; the lady snapped that I should have said that upon arrival. I had done that! Staff were cheerfully standing inside behind us, smoking. The toilets, however, were fine and clean. In short: if you prioritize quantity over uniqueness, you can eat fine here, but for a special dinner, you are better off going elsewhere. I think this is due to a staff shortage.

I used to eat here so often... I was hoping for a good experience after not having been here for years. Nostalgia or something. But as a chef myself at a successful restaurant; I don't really believe in freshly made food. Some dishes maybe, but many don't. Sushi tough and pre-made. Buffet okay, but was poorly replenished or not replenished at all (it wasn't that busy either and I understand waste like no other). But due to gelatin proportions in certain dishes (rendang etc.), it tasted very much like canned food. Service a bit chaotic but friendly, especially the younger blonde lady with glasses. Left it mainly for her tip. Desserts almost all pre-made, I get that, but lacking in flavor. I wish them a bigger clientele, but then also better quality food.

It isn't expensive, but that is largely about all there is to say. In my opinion, the sushi was not fresh and tasteless. The cook at the griddle didn't seem to be very enthusiastic. Meat that had already been pre-cooked and kept warm in a tray on the griddle was placed on the griddle for a minute just for show and served lukewarm; you were allowed to add the garlic in oil yourself from a bowl provided. The Chinese buffet was decent. Fortunately, the desserts were much better, with plenty of variety and even a chocolate fountain with fresh strawberries. The interior could also use an upgrade. Key tips: * Put a cook behind the griddle who is actually willing to do their best to cook a tasty piece of meat. * Turn up the warming trays a bit. * Some adjustments to the interior: remove suspended ceiling panels showing leaks, replace them, and do some modernization.

“Rarely have I been treated so disrespectfully in a restaurant; I will never come here again.” Worst hospitality experience I have ever had From the moment we indicated that we had made a reservation via Social Deal, the atmosphere changed completely. We were immediately treated visibly differently and downright unfriendly by an employee (presumably the owner). In a blunt tone, the question “EMAIL? NAME?” was asked multiple times. called over to us, without any semblance of courtesy. Because we were a little early, we politely asked if that was a problem. This was allowed with clear reluctance. When we subsequently didn't know where to sit, we received a snap: "It says so on your menu," as if we come here every week. No explanation, no hospitality, nothing. The low point came when I simply asked how ordering drinks worked. First, I was curtly told that I had to wait, after which nothing happened. When I asked again later, I initially received a normal answer, but as soon as I indicated that this was our first time, the tone changed again. The response was passive-aggressive, suggesting that I "should have said so." When I pointed out that this is exactly what you should expect from staff, it was immediately dismissed as "an argument." Subsequently, the situation was completely turned around, and we were told that we just had to leave because they "didn't feel like having an argument." This is truly unprecedentedly unprofessional behavior. The way (Social Deal) The way customers are treated is downright disrespectful. Instead of taking responsibility, the blame was placed entirely on us, and the employee even started shouting. As if that weren't enough, the restaurant itself also gives an unkempt and outdated impression, with worn tablecloths and a completely soulless atmosphere. In short: absolutely not recommended. Save yourself the frustration and go to a place where customer friendliness is still the norm.

It was such a terrible experience. We as a family of four booked through Social Deal the coupons. The owner treated us really poorly. We asked if we could start a bit earlier and his behaviour towards us when we said we had Social Deal immediately changed and was rude. We were not shown to our table and we had to find it ourselves and no information regarding the restaurant rules was given. When we asked and said it’s our first time he replied very rudely that we should’ve mentioned it before. Like I’m sorry that’s the purpose of hotel staff if I’m not wrong. There were no drinks given, served nor explained how we could and when we asked the staff in the bar her reaction was also really rude. The owner has no hospitality at all. It was plain discrimination based on our social deal coupons and now when I think about it, it could also be racial discrimination against people of colour. He had the audacity to ask us to leave when we paid and reserved well in advance. He completely ruined our family dinner and we had to figure out other options last minute. I would never suggest this place to anyone. Had in the past used social deals in various restaurants but never faced this kind of issue. Save your money and peace and boycott this restaurant.

There are enough other reviews mentioning the bad food and slow drink service, so I won't go into that. From the very moment we entered, my partner and I didn't feel welcome at all. I think the gentleman at the entrance wasn't very enthusiastic, but unfortunately, that applies to all the employees. If you ever have the idea to eat here: don't. Seriously, spare yourself the disappointment, the frustration, and probably mild food poisoning too. We walked in with a bit of hope. Seriously, even a turtle could have been served faster. And then the waitress. Unfriendly is an understatement. She constantly cut you off as if you had personally insulted her by daring to breathe near her. She didn't smile, didn't greet you, and I swear I saw a look of pure disinterest as if we had murdered her parents. Seriously, even a doormat has more personality. The food? Well, what can I say? The soy sauce was in an old whiskey bottle, just with chunks in it. The ham? Dry, discolored, probably a legacy from the last century. “Timeless, then.” The rest of the food? Lukewarm, tasteless, and clearly made without any love or attention. It seemed like someone had just thrown everything out of the fridge and hoped no one tasted it. Even instant noodles would fit right in here. The dessert was the only thing that was even remotely edible… but let’s be honest, that can hardly go wrong. It’s like they’re saying: “Here, eat this so you think we can actually do something,” while you’re recovering from the rest of the meal. In short: bad service, I don’t dare say anything more about the food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to run rather than sit. 0/10 — a place you wouldn’t send anyone you love, and where you question your own patience, stomach, and life choices.

Too few staff, not really friendly, and they don't understand a glass of red wine either. You have to speak English with a strange accent. Chairs, tablecloths, and napkins are all in need of replacement. Sushi was ready on platters covered in foil. The sushi is too big to eat, especially since the rice was dried out. The starters weren't great either; the smoked salmon was more yellow than pink. The rest of the buffet was mediocre. The griddle was fine though. Desserts were also fine. Suffered from stomach cramps during the night. If you want a buffet, go to Paradijs Oosterhout; it's 100 times better.

We recently dined at Restaurant Bouvigne Paradijs in Breda and were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is spacious and tastefully decorated. Despite being busy, it didn't feel chaotic, and we were able to enjoy a relaxed meal. The buffet is truly extensive. From fresh sushi and grilled dishes to Chinese and Indonesian specialties—there's something for everyone. We especially enjoyed the freshly prepared wok dishes and teppanyaki. The sushi was constantly replenished and tasted fresh. Also nice: the dessert buffet with ice cream and small sweets completes the experience. The staff was friendly and worked hard to keep everything neat and clean. Empty plates were cleared quickly, and the buffet was well-maintained. We think the price-quality ratio is excellent, especially considering the wide selection and the amount of food you get. We will definitely be back!

I find people's reactions appalling. The internet can completely destroy you. We've eaten several times, and the staff is very friendly. Several people had water with their food. You can order it separately, or in a large bottle, which is cheaper. The staff can then choose whether or not to mention it. They do, and they do think about their customers. The food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed it. Some will always have something negative to say. Or they want the same steak as at a specialty restaurant. Is the pricing justified? Or is the specialty restaurant the scammer? When is anyone satisfied? Is it a problem when it's incredibly busy that someone is referred to a table number, or do they have to walk the red carpet like a king? We had another very pleasant evening, thanks to the Social Deal, and were treated just as well as anyone else. Until next time.

You can't eat for €22.50 (social deal). I don't think the owner wants to admit that it's not because of bad reviews, but because of the terrible food. Cheap junk! WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! If you want to waste your money, this is highly recommended! If you'd rather spend your money on something truly worth it, this is NOT recommended. The only positive aspect of this "restaurant" is the parking. There were plenty of spaces. Our welcome was anything but friendly. We paid, were given a number, and had to find our own way to our table among the many tables. We had booked the unlimited drinks service, but we didn't make good use of it. The servers we had to order from simply didn't come to our table. This meant we couldn't enjoy unlimited drinks. Wasted money. Regarding the food itself: there isn't even a wok or BBQ. There's only one griddle for the entire restaurant to use, resulting in a huge line. The meat or fish that the staff can prepare is truly inedible. What a shame... Furthermore, there's little choice, and the food they do offer isn't anything to write home about. My favorite was the ice cream from the pre-made containers from the supermarket. Since I'm a real ice cream fan, I'm not too critical of this. The staff themselves are unfriendly. They don't smile. It seems like you're only hired if you can look grumpy. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. You'd almost think you're being ripped off if you eat here.

I eat there about once a year with friends from Breda. It was always quite decent, but last time (December 2025) it was a bit of a chaotic welcome (curt, took a very long time), and the food was also worse than in previous years—lukewarm instead of hot, and quite a few dishes weren't replenished. The owner is a complete jerk. There are also well-meaning people working there, but they're so busy they don't really have time for you. I'll check out Paradijs in Oosterhout.

Dirty dishes, really bad and dry food, waiters are walking around collecting orders for 'unlimited drinks' that you're paying extra for, but then it takes them an hour to finally bring it to you, they should inform people that they don't have enough personel so you would know that you need to bring your drinks by yourself what wouldn't be a problem, bartender is grumpy, if you're coming with a bigger group you definitely won't be comfortable because the round tables are maximum for 6 persons but even if you will come with a group of 10 you will get the same table, the toilets look awful. Only plus side is location and a big parking lot. If it would be possible I would rate this place as 0.

The only positive thing about this location is the parking. They're clearly understaffed. It takes 20 minutes for drinks to arrive, even if the order is correct. Plates are rarely cleared, and the food is decent but pretty standard. The owner only looks cheerful when it's time to pay, otherwise he's constantly grumpy. At the bar, he transfers drinks from other glasses that aren't full into one glass and then hands them over with disinterest. Avoid this place; there are better restaurants.

I ate here tonight with my 8-year-old daughter. Our welcome was a bit confusing. Short answers (our first time here) were given, and when we asked for more information, we were "fobbed off." We weren't allowed/couldn't take the drinks package because we'd booked through a social deal. This wasn't indicated anywhere. Too bad. So we had to pay the full price for every drink! This made the good deal seem like it wasn't a good deal at all... The food was okay, but not very varied. Unfortunately, we also found a hair in our chocolate mousse... The play area was closed. As was the smoking lounge... Next time, we'll skip this place.

We had a wonderful meal: we had delicious fresh sole fried at the wok counter. There was a huge selection, really tasty and fresh, both cold and hot. I ate there on Christmas Day! Upon arrival, you had to check in. You received a card with a table number, and you had to walk there yourself! We sat down at the table and had to wait almost 15 minutes before they came to take our drinks order; they spoke English! And it was a bit chaotic, but good. We went to eat and had a lot of choices. I ordered nasi while serving, but the nasi was sticky and lukewarm. The meat wasn't very good either, and some meats were cold and lukewarm. The atmosphere wasn't very pleasant either. While we were serving our food, an employee came to scrub the floor with a floor scrubber! In those 2.5 hours of unlimited food and drinks, I only had three drinks, and that was €57.50. I think the prices have gone way downhill. For me, the last time!

The price-quality ratio is completely out of proportion. Especially for Boxing Day 2025. €115.00 for two people, including drinks, is quite a lot in my opinion. And the food wasn't fresh, so I think €115.00 was a bit much. The staff are foreign and don't speak Dutch. The owner is very grumpy and unfriendly. We won't be going back, though.

I went to eat here on my birthday, and I can say with my hand on my heart that this was one of the saddest, most embarrassing “dining out” experiences ever. The food was cold, watery, and downright filthy. This had nothing to do with being fresh, warm, or flavorful. It felt like some cheap junk had simply been thrown together. For an all-you-can-eat price, you expect at least edible food. Here, in my opinion, we were served the level of “gnawed-on leftovers from the trash can.” The service: no smile, no welcome, not a single sense of hospitality. It was as if you were bothering them just by coming inside. When we pointed out that the food was cold and bad, there was barely any reaction. No sincere apologies, no serious offer to really resolve the issue. In my opinion, this is misleading towards customers. You pay a lot of money for “eating out,” but what you get feels more like cheap junk with absolutely no love, care, or respect put into it—neither for the food nor for the guest. This is not only a waste of money, but given the temperature and quality of the food, it is also something to be seriously concerned about regarding hygiene and food safety. I sincerely hope that this place will be thoroughly inspected someday. Celebrating my birthday here was a huge mistake. I will never, ever come back here again, and I advise everyone against spending even a single euro here.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, and I am genuinely ashamed that I chose this restaurant. What a disappointment. The food was cold, watery, and tasteless. This had nothing to do with fresh or well-prepared food. For an all-you-can-eat restaurant, you expect at least decent, hot, and edible food. Instead, we were served dishes that neither of us felt comfortable with. The service was distant and uninterested. No smile, no sense of hospitality, and hardly any effort was made when we indicated that the food was not good. I felt really bad that I arranged this for her birthday. Instead of a cozy, special evening, we were stuck with bad food and an unpleasant atmosphere. In my opinion, quality and hygiene should be seriously checked here. I wouldn't wish such an experience on anyone, let alone on an important day. I will not be coming back here and strongly advise others against spending their money or their special moments on this place.

From the moment we walked in to the end, VERY grumpy. The staff was rude as hell, their mouths hanging off the floor. The food wasn't wow; the carpaccio wasn't even cut, I don't know what they did with it. The food quality was generally really bad (it certainly wouldn't hurt that the food inspection there lasts the longest). The soy sauce was in a rinsed-out old coke bottle. 😳 There were dirty black hairs on our table upon arrival. The tables are so close together that you get stuck and have to constantly charge the people at another table... for me, this 'restaurant' isn't worth people's money, let alone being open. 😉

We entered and there was a long line, eventually a man rudely shouted, "One person can stay, move the rest!" Once at our table, it was okay until then. We ordered drinks because a drinks package wasn't possible due to our Social Deal. We really like carpaccio, so both my sister and I ordered it. We couldn't eat it because the meat was impossible to cut. There were some shavings of Parmesan on it, no sauce, pine nuts, nothing, so we left it. You're still chewing when they drag the plates off the table. The unfriendly staff. The cold salads were all mixed with a lot of sauce—just lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber were nonexistent. The fruit was cut into very large chunks. The grilled vegetables only had garlic, not a special sauce you could make in a wok. All in all, you don't pay much, but that's reflected in both the staff—especially the male Japanese staff—and the food itself. We'd rather pay 10 euros more for much better quality and friendly staff.

WARNING: ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO. I booked a deal for 4 people at Bouvigne Paradijs through Social Deal, but this was honestly the worst dining experience ever. We were met with rude looks upon arrival because we booked through Social Deal—guests without a deal were clearly given priority. The food was absolutely disgusting: sushi with uncooked rice, half-raw meat, and dirty plates. After waiting an hour and feeling disgusted, we got up to leave. But it got worse: at the exit, we were aggressively approached by the owner, who accused us of not even having a reservation. When we pointed out that the food was raw, unsanitary, and inedible, he became even angrier and literally said, "If you want good sushi, you should go to a sushi place." While they advertise "freshly made sushi." Disgraceful. Unprofessional, unsanitary, and disrespectful to Social Deal customers. A real embarrassment to the hospitality industry. Never again.

Upon entering, we were greeted by the waitstaff, who had the enthusiastic air of a corpse in the back of a truck. They radiated a disinterest that was almost admirable; they seemed genuinely surprised that there were guests. I ordered the lamb chop, hoping for a slice of heaven. What I received was something that might once have dreamed of being lamb, but was frozen in the reality of raw, flavorless, and suspiciously cardboard-smelling meat. It tasted as if the animal had forgotten how to be lamb. My partner ventured into the buffet, a landscape of culinary horror. The meat looked as if it had been basking under a heat lamp since prehistoric times. It was so dehydrated it could probably have served as a matchstick. The soup had a skin thicker than the ice at the North Pole. I respect that skin; it had staying power. And then the sashimi. I'm a fan of raw fish, but not of its unexpected protein: a long, black hair. It was the freshest addition of the evening. A tiny bit of DNA evidence that at least something living was present in the kitchen. Dessert was the height of tragedy. The desserts, straight from the industrial freezer, were so dried out from their extremely long stay in the cold that they had the texture of sandpaper. The chocolate sprinkles on top were out of date, which I only realized when I tasted them. They tasted like the dust you find under a sofa. The highlight of the evening? The absolute, undisputed star of the show? The canned peaches. Cold, sweet, and honest. They don't pretend to be anything more than what they are. They were the only edible, recognizable, and, most importantly, uncontaminated food source in this culinary wilderness. This isn't a restaurant; it's a social experiment. Go here if you want to know what it's like to pay for a disappointment that will remain etched in your memory for a long time. Or, better yet, stay home and eat a can of peaches. It's cheaper, and you won't miss the hair in your food.

This restaurant is a bit worse than it used to be. Quite a few things were really bad—tough, hard, tasteless, and I don't think they were even fresh from the day before. Refilling some things took a while, even though you'd booked for (for example) two hours. What really irritated me was that I received not one, but two draft beers that weren't filled to the required level. My conclusion is that it's all just a matter of time...for now, I won't be going back with my family.

The waitress which I assume is the “head” waitress has horrible customer service, there was no one in the restaurant and she asked me to keep my 2 kids (who were not being loud) quiet because it’s bothering people! Ok, what people? And again they were not being loud! The owner I believe doesn’t even say hello or bye, the whole staff looks miserable. I genuinely can’t understand how this place is still open!

I recently ate here; there was plenty of parking upon arrival. That's the only good thing I found. When I walked in, it initially took quite a while before I was helped, and then I was helped by (I think) the owner. Who, by the way, wasn't friendly. The interior doesn't look like a dump, in my opinion. The food was tough, there were flies on it, and it all looked really unappetizing. The staff wasn't exactly happy either. There's also a really strange atmosphere there, in my opinion. In short, I'll never go back here and I don't recommend it to anyone!

We've been coming here for a long time, and every time the food is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly. The great thing is that if something isn't quite to your liking, you can simply let us know. It's immediately taken care of and freshly prepared. You don't see that everywhere, but here we do, and we really appreciate it. Many people are quick to leave a bad review, often without bothering to say anything on the spot. In our experience, you always get good service if you report it in a normal way. We've also noticed that everything is neat and tidy at the start of the evening, but some guests make a mess as the evening progresses. And sometimes you even hear people suddenly complain about the food while paying, even though they just mentioned how delicious their meal was. It's a shame, because that doesn't do the restaurant justice. All in all: a good restaurant at a very low price. If you stay polite and friendly, everything is perfectly taken care of. If you speak to the owner, you can be sure that everything will be just as you want it. Highly recommended! James
