Good service, tasty menu choices

Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for the toasted sandwiches, which ended up being burnt. We complained about it and only had to pay for one. The service was fine, but we would never have served it to guests ourselves in the first place. The staff were clearly busy with another, larger order.

Had a few drinks and a band was playing. Service was quick.

I went to Vensters with my mother on Mother's Day for a breakfast and movie. It was a wonderful experience! Delicious breakfast, great service, and a great atmosphere. I visited the restaurant a day before to discuss alternatives due to my mother's gluten intolerance, and the staff prepared a delicious, customized breakfast for her. The only caveat was that it was very difficult to reach the restaurant by phone. The number on the website was answered by someone who wasn't on-site and couldn't help me contact them. I was advised to send an email, but even now, they haven't answered. That's why I ended up going there myself. Incidentally, the restaurant staff helped me well, but I live in Nijmegen, so it wasn't very practical.

After a wonderful performance by Gerard van Maasakkers, we went for a drink at 'Vensters'. Six guests and four staff members were present. It took forever before we were allowed to order. At the bar, where three staff members were loitering, we weren't allowed to order, as they said, "someone would come and take our order." That took a while. It's a shame that our patience had to be tested so much after a wonderful evening. We were also surprised earlier that the service at 'Vensters' was so incredibly slow!!!!!

We had a drink here and a piece of cake. It took quite a while for someone to come and take our order. It wasn't busy, and the staff seemed to prefer chatting with each other. Eventually, someone came. We first received our pieces of cake, which weren't exactly fresh anymore. We received our drinks after we'd already finished our cakes. We'd already asked where they were, but when they finally arrived, the waiter apologized. The hot chocolate wasn't very warm. All in all, a once-in-a-lifetime treat!

Had a fantastic evening at Chasse yesterday. We went for a drink at the window, and they gave us lukewarm beer. Terrible traffic, either connected or tapped. On the next round, they indicated it couldn't be fixed, and we were given ice cubes for the beer. My husband accepted, but it was ridiculous. So I threw it away and went home. Such a shame. What a fantastic evening, but this is simply unacceptable. LAKEWARM BEER.

Delicious food. Good quality and excellent wine. Very friendly service. Highly recommended.

Normally I do read reviews beforehand. For some reason I didn't this time, so 'own fault, tough luck', you could say. I agree with the previous reviews regarding the atmosphere. Or rather the lack thereof. At one point it got so busy that I considered sitting outside for the last hour before the show. The windows don't add anything positive to the acoustics. Food was indeed simple. Quite okay, but way too expensive for what it is.

I went there with my parents despite the bad reviews. The staff was very sweet. The atmosphere was good but it is indeed quite noisy, some curtains or something would not be amiss. The food was also good, you get what you order. The food is not culinary, but shouldn't you expect that from a hamburger and fries? What I did find annoying: - I had made a reservation for 3 people and we were placed on a small table for 2 people. Eating with three plates on a small table was impossible. - The chair I was sitting on was old/sagging, which of course was not comfortable. - And my father told me at the end of the evening that the cook (the "kitchen" is behind the bar in the restaurant) was constantly eating the food. I really didn't think those three things were nice. I won't be back anytime soon for the food, but I think it's a good location for drinks after a show.

A restaurant and formula with potential in a convenient location for a night out. We wanted to try that! Upon entering it turned out to be a cold room. Both in terms of atmosphere and temperature. When the employee then started her story with 'I'll tell you which dishes we still have', we were almost ready to go. Half were no longer available. Finally ordered something to drink and food. It was delivered fairly quickly and was simple, but tasty. We were not offered dessert or anything to drink. We then paid and waited for our performance in the warm Chassé with a cup of coffee. With the wide choice in Breda there are better alternatives, but we will no longer see them in Vensters'.

Sparse menu for lunch. Croquettes with bread (cold croquettes) 13.50! Ordered Mayo but had to ask twice for it. Service, a lady, not very friendly. Ultimately got coffee for free, but not worth repeating

Handy eatery next to the Chasse. Handy if you have visited a performance. Friendly staff and lots of choice to drink. They come to the tables themselves. Not very attractive, but excellent in terms of location!

Definitely wouldn't go here again. We were treated to an Italian menu for the latest film adaptation of the Fellini. Antipasti, Bruschetta, Penne all'arrabiata and tiramisu for dessert. High expectations from a renowned director and of course the Italian (not super difficult, cuisine). Where can things go wrong? Your food will be served within 45 minutes, while you can arrive no later than 6:15 PM and the film starts at 8:50 PM. In other words, 2 hours to kill. It was cold! Not the food, but the entire restaurant. Terrible trip and just the need to put your jacket back on. Barely any attention was paid to the guest, no welcome or hospitable feeling and only when paying we were asked if we wanted something to drink and a joke was made about the temperature. Especially considering the circumstances, they really could have paid more attention to this! Not to mention the food... to be honest, an average student would have taken better care of this. The penne was just as soft as if it had been microwaved. The “Tiramisu” was a bowl of “Danio” with some chocolate flakes and to finish it off a lady finger in the middle. Well, the photos speak for themselves.

Food nicely described but very simple. Well okay. But what really drove us crazy... we actually wanted desert and coffee, but we took it somewhere else. At 7:50 PM a lady started emptying and loading dishwashers. Restoration of half furniture. I think they wanted us gone. Really, we couldn't understand each other anymore. NEVER AGAIN!!

Lots of clinking dishes, food looking for the chicken, too bad. I'll skip this next time.

Lauwwarm eten teruggestuurd. Vervolgens krijg je je prakje na wachten door elkaar gehusseld terug ... Hmmm. Voor verbetering vatbaar zou ik zeggen, smaak is prima, maar nu was t eerder alsof t van gisteren was ipv vers. Jammer! Doe er dan een nieuwe topping op NA opwarmen, probleem opgelost. Verder is de service dan matig te noemen, als je hierover een behoorlijk weerwoord krijgt. Jammer! Conclusie: eten aardig, summiere kaart, service kun je vergeten en sfeer maak je zelf (in tl-licht)

Heel goed restaurant en bar. Gezellig en heerlijke koffie.

Heerlijk gegeten in Vensters voorafgaand aan een klassieke muziekavond van de Philharmonie Zuid-Nederland met een Beethoven en Schubertprogramma. Vriendelijke medewerkers daar in Chassé Vensters Groet Rien Molleman

Bescheiden kaart, maar prima kwaliteit. Prettige bediening.

Lekkere beefburger voor veel geld. Het bonnetje: 1x greentea, 1x cola, 2x beefburger met frites en mayo: 42 euro...... ,ai.

The food is good and the waitress are very nice

Hier gegeten voor de voorstelling. De keuken is eigenlijk niet in staat om op tijd voor de voorstelling een vol 'restaurant' te bedienen. Het eten was matig (taai lekkerbekje uit de diepvries, 5 euro voor 'n schaaltje wortelen wordt verkocht als "seizoensgroenten", minuscuul beetje mayonaise bij de frietjes, geen garnering bij de gerechten). Nee, allemaal net niet. 2 sterren in plaats van 1 ondat het personeel haar best doet.
