The food was fantastic, and the Peking duck menu is highly recommended. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing place, offer great value set menu. They provide an interesting range of Chinese cooking. Our mystery set menu included mussels, octopus, duck, veal. We requested plenty of vegetables, which they were pleased to provide. We had the 3 course menu which turned into in effect 7 courses! Look forward to going back.

Apart from the duck the rest is very mediocre in quality. The pork belly was bad and I didn't eat it. Unfortunately…..

Wat een genot was ons bezoek aan dit sfeervolle restaurant, verscholen op een charmant plekje in Rotterdam! De menukaart biedt voor ieder wat wils: van à la carte tot uitgebreide menu’s, waaronder een verleidelijk “Peking eend menu”. Wij lieten ons verrassen door het 4-gangen verrassingsmenu (zonder dessert) en werden absoluut niet teleurgesteld. Elk gerecht was een kunstwerkje: prachtig opgemaakt en perfect in balans. De smaken, duidelijk geworteld in de Chinese keuken met subtiele Japanse en Koreaanse invloeden, waren zowel uitgesproken als verfijnd. Hoewel drie gangen waarschijnlijk voldoende waren geweest, was de vierde gang geen straf – integendeel! Het personeel verdient een extra pluim: niet alleen waren ze ontzettend vriendelijk, maar ze gingen ook moeiteloos mee in onze grappen, wat de sfeer nog leuker maakte. Dit restaurant is een absolute aanrader voor wie houdt van Aziatische finesse in een gezellige setting.

What a tasteful experience. We chose the 4 course chef's menu and were very impressed with the taste. As far as we are concerned, 2 downsides: 1 is that the wait staff does not really keep an eye on you, does not scan the tables to see if guests need anything. This meant having to wait a long time for a second glass of drink. And ultimately also for coffee and that is minus 2; the coffee was not hot, but lukewarm. However, there is no reason for us not to go back!

Este ha sido con mucho el mejor restaurante para comer pato. Pedimos el menú de 5 platos de pato. Cada plato nos trajo una sensación y sabor diferente, aunque todos incluyendo pato. El postre también fue muy interesante. Su propia versión de tarta de queso, no horneada sino al vapor, acompañada de helado de mango y bayas.

Best Beijing duck restaurant in the Netherlands. The car can easily be parked in the WTC garage. Customer-friendly service with a smile. Delicious Beijing duck based dishes. We don't know of any restaurant that exceeds the quality served across the board! Very reasonable price Recommended!

Geweldige service en heerlijk eten. De smaakcombinaties waren uitmuntend en de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is het zeker waard.

Vandaag zijn we met 6 Bourgondische Brabanders (waarvan er 2 in Rotterdam wonen) op bezoek geweest in Chungs restaurant. We hebben genoten van het Peking eend menu en alle extra hapjes die je klaar maakte. Het eten was geweldig. We vroegen of de wijn kon doorkomen en dat deed die ook, de wijnen waren fantastisch iedere gang had een uitstekende pairing. En ook heel belangrijk, de bediening en de service was heel goed, deskundig en vriendelijk.

Really enjoyed the delicious food

Enjoyed the Valentine's menu yesterday. What heaven. The ambiance was fantastic, hearts, balloons and roses everywhere. The special Valentine's menu was so delicious, unusual. The only thing that was a bit disappointing were the cocktails. They still have some room for improvement here. But other than that everything was great. And at the end we even received a rose and a nice Polaroid photo. Thank you very much for a great evening!

Expensive, and dishes mediocre, little taste. Service friendly, but even here English speaking girls. Atmosphere/ambiance is unclear to me as to which direction we are going.

What a delicious Beijing duck, veal cheek with red curry, pork belly and a good wine selection. Great friendly service, beautiful location, and oh yes, what a delicious dessert of yuzu cheesecake with all kinds of extra goodies!!!

Wij hadden op eerste kerstdag de Pekingeend met 4 variaties. De gerechten smaakten heerlijk. Chung is een uitstekende gastheer!

Echt heerlijk gegeten. Leuk personeel en ongedwongen sfeer. We hadden het 4 gangen diner en hadden echt een uniek pallet aan smaken. We zaten ook echt vol aan het einde. We gaan hier zeker terugkomen!

Flavors were fine. But the quantity per dish really leaves much to be desired. 60 euros per person for a bento box to share with 3 people and then 2 gyoza, 1 cocouille, 2 crêpes and a mini piece of fish. Be careful when buying water. At the end of your evening you will be surprised with 2 more bottles, even though you have only used 1 bottle of water. I feel more ripped off than relieved. Never again chung for us. Go spend your money elsewhere if you pay 240 euros after dinner and are still hungry. Then you're doing something wrong. Flavors were okay. More than that it wasn't for us.

Leuke ambiance, bediening uitstekend, eten heel goed. Maar waar wij helemaal blij van werden is de mate van service nadat ik een tas had laten staan. Deze is dezelfde avond nog naar ons hotel gebracht. Zulke service kom je niet vaak meer tegen.

The Xiao long Bao they served doesn’t have soup in it, it’s more like momo dumplings. The hot and sour soup was not bad, but their highlight was the Beijing duck with pancake, a proper Beijing duck dish. Service was rather slow although the restaurant is not full on a weeknight. You are in the wrong restaurant if you want a fast service.

Prettige ontvangst, attente en vriendelijke bediening, warme sfeer. Het 3-gangen verrassingsmenu is ons goed bevallen, vooral het buikspek en de kalfswang waren sterk op smaak, en mooi opgemaakt. Pekingeend is altijd een fijn gerecht. Het hoofdgerecht werd in twee delen opgediend, wat ook prettig was. Dus in feite waren het vier gangen. Het tempo was goed, dus alles liep op rolletjes.

Good food and cozy place. However the waiting time to order is a bit slow. Therefore we decided to go for 3 courses with surprises from the chef. Thankfully, he did a good job with seafood dishes!

Wij hadden een vijf gangen menu van de chef met een aantal bijpassende wijnen. We konden zelf kiezen of we een wijntje bij een gerecht wilde of niet. Zo hebben wij bijvoorbeeld bij het eerste derde en laatste gerecht een wijntje op. De smaken waren per gerecht erg verschillend maar oh zo lekker! Echt een aanrader! De gastvrijheid was goed. Erg leuk en lief personeel. Er hangt een relaxed sfeer maar het is er tegelijkertijd ook chique.

Zoals vaker hebben we fantastisch gegeten. Eén verrassing menu 5 gangen wat helemaal is zoals het moet zijn. Een verrassing van verrukkelijke smaken met lekkere bijpassende wijn. Koks en personeel; bedankt!

Compliment het was weer fantastisch heerlijk en enorm gevarieerd. Het chef menu is elke keer weer zo lekker en telkens weer anders knap van de chef.

Overpriced nothing! 3 hours! 3 hours to eat and still I literally had to ask (first time in 40 years) if the menu was finished or not. It will take more than 40 minutes between dishes to be served! A sliver of duck skin is what is served as "pecking duck". Awfull service Arrived at 19h left at 22h not because of fun, but that was the waiting time, and in the end? McDonald's and microwave chicken at home!

Very friendly and helpful staff, thoughtful and hospitable. Beautiful place on/on the water with a terrace, unfortunately we were moved indoors due to the weather. The food tasted delicious and fresh. I expected more sauce and vegetables for the Peking duck, but this was not enough for all (8) crêpes, but the duck was sufficient.

Chung stelt nooit teleur: uitstekende kwaliteit, verfijnde smaken, heerlijke wijnen. Dit is geen etentje bij de Chinees, dit is zegen voor je zintuigen. Het enige wat lastig is om een keuze te maken uit de gerechten; de oplossing hiervoor is terugkomen en de andere gerechten bestellen!

We are visiting Rotterdam and stumbled on this superb restaurant. We had the chicken soup dumplings and chicken gyoza for our appetizer. Our entrees were sweet and sour chicken and shrimp tempura. Both entrees were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The service very good and servers were polite. Absolutely recommend visiting this restaurant.

Inmiddels al meerdere keren bij Chung geweest en het is telkens fantastisch. Zeer vriendelijke bediening en geweldig eten: het vijf gangen Peking-eend menu is zeker een aanrader. Daarnaast heeft Chung een ruim aanbod van goede wijnen, waar hij met zijn kennis als sommelier graag met passie over verteld!

Diverse keren bij dit in centrum mooi gelegen restaurant. Ontvangst en bediening heel prettig. Menukaart met mooie gerechten. Wij kozen voor sashimi voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht crispy duck. Uitstekende keuze.!! Tot de volgende keer.

Chung biedt een onvergetelijke culinaire reis tegen een betaalbare prijs. Wij kozen voor het verrassingsmenu met bijpassende wijn. Elk gerecht is meesterlijk bereid met verse ingrediënten en creatieve smaakcombinaties, waarbij de wijn het meer dan compleet maakt. Had dinner here with 4 people last Sunday evening. It was excellent! Truly the tastiest Peking duck we have ever eaten!! 2 of us opted for the Peking duck menu (4 courses with dessert); and 2 of us chose the surprise menu (4 courses with dessert). Everything was DELICIOUS! In addition, we received super friendly help from the staff. We will definitely come back here again!

Nice atmosphere, we could hear each other speak while the place was full on a Friday night. DO NOT take the Chef’s menu and suggested wines to accompany. The a la carte might be good, main dish of veal was wonderful. Sashimi ok. The rest of Chefs menu - very very average, would not recommend or eat again. A pity - the location is nice, staff welcoming. Just the food and wine not good.

Had dinner here on a Saturday evening a few weeks ago; reserved in advance for 2 people. It started with a wobbly table, yes you'll laugh yourself to death. A young waiter would arrange some beer mats. In the meantime, the drink had already been served and the wobbling caused the drink to go over the edge of the glass. The server had already passed by 3 times but completely forgot about us. Anyway. My partner was given the new price list with the menu and I was given the old one. We only found out later. The price difference was €2.50; so slightly more expensive :-) Then ordered food. My partner had Cantonese chicken and I of course had the Peking duck. The chicken was good and the duck very tasty, but here's the thing: we were both served small portions. We estimate it to be about 400 gr. When we were halfway through eating we hadn't even gotten a bowl of rice. We then asked for this and it turned out that the waitress had forgotten to ask us. That was a rookie mistake. Next came one small cup/bowl of rice for the two of us when we were halfway through our dishes. Chung later said that to prevent waste, the rice is not served automatically. After both having two drinks, we had to pay €72. We insisted that the old price of Peking duck should be charged, which was met. An hour later we only ate a few croquettes to satisfy our hunger. So pay close attention to what you order in this restaurant.

Another great evening at Chung. The table was not ready yet, but we had a drink at the bar and then a really delicious meal and top service from both the ladies in the service and from host Chung who keeps a close eye on everything and ensures that everyone can enjoy a night out. Top!!

Never knew this restaurant existed, although I walked here frequently on my way to Little Italy from my office at the Weena. Had a great evening. Slightly irritated when I have to speak English in a Dutch Chinese restaurant.

We opted for a 5-course chef's menu. It tasted good (as usual). The duck crêpes contained several pieces of duck on the bone! According to the menu, the Peking duck with crêpes is always served finely sliced. Otherwise we would have given 5 stars for the food. We were looking forward to a fun evening out with the children, but we were put upstairs. View of plastic for windows. Heating from an electric heater and a lot of draft through the windows. We couldn't have a conversation with each other because of the sounds of the other guests. This was not due to the guests, but to the room itself. Too much echo! There was more than 1 hour between course 1 and course 2! My husband got angry and he was unreasonable (apologies for this), but there was no need to grumpily serve the food to us afterwards without any word of explanation. The tea took a long time to arrive and we had to wait a very long time before we could order another pot of tea and a bottle of water. They had no time for us. Two bottles of water (5 are stated on the bill) for only EUR 17.50. The bottles of wine arrived quickly. A young girl remained friendly. At checkout we were offered a bottle of wine from Mr Chung. We didn't want to use this, but he didn't charge us for it anyway. We are not looking for free, but for a pleasant evening out, because eating out is not only good food, but also a pleasant environment.

Top class Chinese food. Not comparable to what you are used to at the Chinese around the corner.

It was a "fancy" version of Chinese restaurant and nice to have a various kind of dishes in a 4 course meal(You can chose 3, 4 or 5 courses also with dessert or without). Other tables got to get their peking duck sliced right in front of them but ours came out directly from the kitchen. That would've been a nice experience for us but not sure why we didn't get the chance. Anyway, food was overall good but nothing crazy special. If I visit again next time then I will not take the course menu but straight to the peking duck :)

Vanavond met zijn tweetjes het verassingsmenu(5 gangen , géén dessert) gekozen Wij hebben een fantastische avond gehad met culinaire hoogstandjes en perfecte bijpassende wijnen. Bediening ( 2 dames en de gastheerr ) in één woord geweldig!! Kakdjila!!!!

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. We hadden het 5 gangen peking eend menu. Leuk gedaan en heerlijke smaken. Enige puntjes van kritiek zijn dat het te lang duurde tussen de 3de en 4de gang en dat er voor ons gevoel niet snel genoeg werd gevraagd of we nieuwe drankjes wilden. Er liepen genoeg mensen in de bediening o.i. maar goed al met al een goede plek om te gaan eten

Echt heerlijk gegeten, peking eend menu. Peking eend op verschillende manieren klaargemaakt. De service was ook goed. De gerechten kwamen wel heel snel achter elkaar, daar had wat mij betreft iets meer tijd tussen mogen zitten. De locatie is ook op een mooie plek midden in de stad, restaurant in het water! Zeker een aanrader om te gaan eten.

The duck is great. The bento box is nice. Also here is a large selection of wines, the dishes are paired very well, the owner knows his wines. I will come back for sure!

Gewoon een heerlijke plek om “Chinese fusion” te beleven. Zeer gastvrij en relaxed, en goed wijn advies. Mijn tip de vier gangen hartig zonder dessert van de chef. De pekingeend en dumplings zijn natuurlijk aanraders.

Heerlijk 4 gangen van de chef gegeten. Lekker en verrassende gerechten. Ook de prijs was prima.

Eend 5 gangen menu genomen met de een heerlijke fles pinot noir. Was echt genieten!

Ga hier alleen eten als je van eend houdt. Anders weinig keuze. Dimsums waren ok maar kwamen lauw en 1 portie na 3x vragen pas na 40 minuten. Wel warm. Kip en kalfswang waren heerlijk. Bediening matig. Engelstalig onverstaanbare jongen die zijn afspraken niet nakwam. En een vrouw die als een robot haar werk deed.

In 1 woord geweldig. In meer woorden, kwaliteit voor een goede prijs. Zeer beperkte kaart maar dat is zeker geen minpunt. Het is zeker geen restaurant waar je snel wil eten. Je wordt niet de zaak uit gewerkt wanneer je bord leeg is. Voor elke gang krijg je de tijd om te eten en alle heerlijke smaken te ervaren. Het eten is heerlijk, vers en goed bereidt. Er wordt echt aandacht besteedt aan het eten. Heerlijk om in een stad waar alles snel en onpersoonlijk lijkt te zijn, toch een plek te vinden waar je de tijd krijgt om even echt te genieten in alle rust. Het was het meer dan waard en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Love, love, love it! De Chinese keuken, maar anders. De kok de vrije hand gegeven en dat bleek een gouden zet!

My wife and I had a great evening at this restaurant. The 5 course menu for the duck was very creative and delicious. The whole team was super friendly but special shout out to the bartender Mara who was extra kind and boosted the experience there with his tips and great cocktails.
