Very tasty food, nice staff. But sometimes a little more alertness would be nice. One moment they are there every minute, the next moment it takes more than 5 minutes before you see anyone at all.

Cozy restaurant, good service, food just not very refined. Especially a pleasant Italian.

The food is tasty/fine. I don't think the prices are entirely proportional. Atmosphere and service are nice, but a bit cramped. I think the bottle of water for 7.50 euros is a downer, as is the baguette-sized pistolet for the same amount. In Italy you get a glass of water with your food/wine as it should be and that also applies to (baguette) bread. That should be served without obligation.... I also find it a bit misleading, the bottle of water is already on the table and the sandwich is also offered and placed at the same time as if that is included. Very unfortunate and actually very un-Italian. Therefore, no tip, because I think there was already plenty of it. A bit of a shame, but otherwise highly recommended.

Atmospheric restaurant with friendly service. Moreover, delicious dishes. Taste experience that makes you eat out. I had the Raviolini, and unfortunately it was not enough (5 ravioli). My plate was already empty when the rest was half way through, and that was not due to my eating pace. It's a shame that real whipped cream is not used for the dessert, but a spray can. A restaurant where I would like to return, but given the price there is some room for improvement.

Sept-24 updated due to Christmas dinner with 2nd paragraph. Sept: Never feels nice to post something negative…but this just wasn't right. A beautiful restaurant, tasteful interior, service that certainly did their best within the possibilities. But if it's just way too busy and the food isn't good for the price. Because the terrace was opened last minute and was full, which was not the intention at the beginning, there just seemed to be too few staff. Got a lovely spot by the window upstairs. After a prosecco we noticed that a starter took a long time even though we chose the menu. We would have liked to order a glass of wine, but it arrived 10 minutes after the starter. Main course… took a long time…. And we quite like space between the corridors. Guinea fowl was cold, probably pre-cooked and logically reheated but not good. Meat cold, sauce lukewarm. Potatoes seemed to have been baked 3 times. Lukewarm, dry, rock hard, greasy in taste. As if it were an unused bowl from another table that had been quickly warmed up. Entrecote was not a very special piece of meat for 29.50. The week before in Italy twice as much and 1/3 cheaper at a tourist location. One entrecote was nice and pink, the other completely well done. Spaghetti in a container hard on top. Like it had been in the microwave for too long. Cucumber salad for 3 people… Desserts with the menu were fine. But a cup of Lungo coffee? 5.50... just a cup of coffee... with a chocolate and a macaronne... Have eaten here before and better. But in the high season we skip this beautiful location. Shame. Price Quality just wasn't right. Management really did their best, so I think it's more of a review for the owners! Christmas: try Christmas dinner 4 months later, 90 euros/pp... food much better. Unfortunately, you cannot write a second review per location. Therefore review updated. And especially the food from 2 to 4 stars. Fair's fair! Too bad that it was promised on the phone that the menu could be adjusted on the spot because of the children. That turned out not to be the case. We wanted to eat the 4-course menu together because in courses 1 and 4 there were several small dishes per course. Fun to try for the kids too. Small dishes not an option on the standard menu. There you chose 1 larger dish per course instead of 3 small ones. We then asked to leave out the second course of ravioli for our youngest…. That was not possible because prices were fixed in the cash register... Then you shouldn't tell them on the phone that everything can be solved for the children within the menu... this means you can't have a nice meal together for a minute during Christmas... anyway, it's a great luxury to be able to do this... but you could easily have solved this differently if you wanted to... that's why 1 of us opted for a 3-course menu. This is not about money but understanding that you give people an experience together. 5 types of red wine on the menu... we ordered a nice bottle of Amarone... not available... Mention it in advance or take it off the menu, drank ripasso, also delicious :) portioning of food considerably. Especially the antipasti. Tastes great! Beautiful ravioli, tasty tenderloin tips and venison steak, festive dessert. Much better than our last x. Merry christmas!!!

The food was delicious, the meat was delicious and tender

Beautiful restaurant with a cozy atmosphere located on a beautiful square. Very tight together. Food is ok. Not exceptional. Prices are solid. A few lousy pieces of bread in advance for 7 euros per sandwich and the obligatory 75cl bottle of water in the Netherlands for the same amount are annoying and actually outdated. Just learn to put down a carafe of tap water, people. Just don't ask any questions and make it difficult. Pasta with game stew was tasty but not very distinctive. Warm starter of some fried mushrooms with a few pieces of bacon for 17.5 euros... was the disappointment of the evening in terms of price/quantity. We're not going to make a detour, so to speak.

Beautiful, chic restaurant with very friendly service. We ordered a pizza, which was very tasty. The only downside was the vegan pizza base. I prefer a regular one, they are much crispier and tastier. Too bad that option isn't there. Definitely recommended, we will try a different product next time and do a review again.

Nice location, adequate service (a bit too smart and clumsy, resulting in an spilled coke, wet table and wet dress), main courses in both cases a bit overcooked. Apparently the kitchen was not at its best this evening. All in all, the experience is sufficient, nothing more. Additional information, the restaurant has contacted us, taken the review to heart and resolved it appropriately.

We really come here regularly and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent. My favorite dishes are the very creamy Spaghetti di Scampi 🦐, Pizza Prosciutto e Mozarella and the Pizza Paesana. The restaurant is built on 3 levels, so that you can look down into the ground floor from each level. This and the beautiful lighting give the restaurant a harmonious and calm atmosphere.

Great evening! Super friendly staff, very attentive and alert. When making the reservation, we stated that we had a birthday to celebrate. Congratulations when you take a seat and a fire fountain and short birthday song for dessert. The food was also really delicious. Compliments to the chef. Highly recommended. Price quality also top.

We visited this restaurant today. The welcome, the atmosphere, the service were at a high level. The food was excellent. Dining at a professional level and despite the restaurant being full, the service was fast. One of the best restaurants I've ever visited. Keep doing your work like this. We will definitely come back to you at the next opportunity.

Delicious food! The best Italian in the area.

Don’t be seduced by the classy and “elegant” website. Because in reality it is pure chaos like an anthill. It started with the fact that we had to wait 10 minutes for the card and no one paid any attention to us. Afterwards we were put away because the waiters found the table too crowded. (They said everything was full, but in reality there were more than enough tables available) We got a very, very unfriendly waiter who didn't feel like serving us. The table was wiped and the dirt fell onto the chairs which you then had to clean up yourself. Water bottle was simply taken away even though there was still water in it. The food was quite good but that was the only positive thing about the restaurant. Price performance an absolute disgrace.

Ate here yesterday. Starters were delicious! However, the pizzas were bad because of the terrible hard base and priced way too high for this poor quality.

Dramatic, we wanted to eat and had already walked quite a distance. The website and Google say that this restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Upon arrival at 4 p.m. we were told that the staff was eating, of course this has to happen, but we were also not allowed to take a seat and have a drink until the kitchen opened again..... change your times online or be hospitable and offer us something to drink... we would have liked to wait half an hour for the food

Very nice place, but the owner (at least that's how she pretended to be) knows how to destroy the atmosphere in a professional manner. Because there are, in my opinion, fairly young and inexperienced staff, I think it would be better to manage them instead of trying to close the gaps yourself. Food was fine, service poor. There are really better things in Harderwijk!

As “neighbors” around the corner from Da Gabriele, we prefer to visit here every month. Inside you will be surprised with a beautiful interior of a high room with brick arches and several floors for seating. It's a surprise every time. The homely terrace on the Vischmarkt is also very cozy in the summer. Service is always sublime with Arnold serving as the icing on the cake, old-fashioned hospitality as it should be in the catering industry. You will be served with attention and flexibility and you will really feel at home. The food is really great. Whether you opt for something more expensive with a nice meat or fish dish or a simple pasta or pizza, you can't go wrong. The portions are generous, served with side dishes and there is plenty of choice on the menu. In terms of allergens, a lot is possible and there are many options for gluten and lactose free, and well thought through. At Da Gabriele you can make it as colorful as you want. Take away pizza if you don't feel like cooking, or dine lavishly with several courses for a long and enjoyable evening. It's the closest you'll get to Italy in terms of food and drinks in this region ❤️🇮🇹

Nice atmosphere, good service and delicious food

Nice restaurant with friendly and attentive staff in the heart of Harderwijk. The pastas and pizzas tasted good and we were helped quickly despite the crowds. There were four of us and three of us ordered a red house wine (Merlot) and it tasted very good. Here are some minor points: 1) The glasses of red house wine (€5 per glass) were served very sparingly (approx. 50 ml per glass); that should be more like 125 ml per glass (then the glass is 1/3 full) 2) The ordered beer came with the red wine, but - due to the high outside temperature - it was requested to serve this (cold) beer together with the dishes. 3) We asked for and received 4 glasses of tap water; was made for this €3.00 charged. 4) the pizzas tasted good and had a thin base, but the base was so hard that we had to saw a lot with the serrated knives to get through the base. All in all, we had a nice meal and a nice evening, despite the criticisms.

Haven't been in a while. Most beautiful location in Harderwijk. Pasta delicious, pizza bad because of the base, not tasty, impossible to cut. Saw more people struggling with that.

Delicious Italian cuisine! We had a pasta together beforehand, then pizza and tagliata di manzo as main. It was very busy so we were happy with a table, so we had dessert elsewhere because of the crowds and the price for a tiramisu (12.50).

It was really tasty. Friendly service. We immediately looked for the best table for us. A warm baked roll was quickly delivered with the aperitivo. And a bottle of water was kindly offered. We opted for less expensive dishes. Those were delicious. Nice view over the square. Good feeling about the dinner. The bill surprised us a bit. The water and sandwich were obviously not free. We should have looked more closely at the map. All in all, we enjoyed a nice meal with a luxurious feeling. Then it may also cost something.

1 word: excellent. Okay, more words. The service was simply great, something we are not used to anymore. The dishes then arrived, without words. So delicious, it's a shame we don't live nearby.

Pleasantly surprised! We made a last minute reservation to have dinner with the kids. Warm welcome, table taken care of down to the last detail, excellent service and smooth preparation. Last but not least: simply super tasty!!

Costs a few cents, but worth every cent. The cook will probably have an off day or the staff will have a bad day, but this year I have already walked away from them 5 times this year happy and satisfied, so I have not had any problems yet. In short, highly recommended!

Very tasty meal. When I made the reservation there was only room in the basement. When we arrived we managed to get us a nice table by the window on the top floor. We thought that was very thoughtful.

Always tasty, I've never been disappointed. Except for the price. That's always scary. But that has gone completely wild everywhere. I limit myself to eating out once a year. Simply because it becomes too expensive!

The place is right in the centre of the city. My boyfriend and I are fans of Italian restaurants, so on a rainy Friday evening we decided to choose this one out of all the others. Usually bread is free in Italian restaurants, but we were offered it without being told that it would cost 7,5 €. We also ordered two aperols.There's a price written in chalk 6,5€ on the board by our table. (I have a photo with this price). But for some reason the receipt showed 8,5€. The Frutti di mare pizza was the disappointment of my evening: I took two bites and realised I couldn't eat it anymore. There was no cheese on the pizza, one 1-2cm prawn and one squid ring which I couldn't chew. Pizza dough is a disaster.. The Spaghetti Mare pasta my boyfriend enjoyed, for which thanks.(But when I tried it at his place, the seafood was not fresh to my taste) The only thing I can praise is the olives at this restaurant. Service wasn't bad but we felt strongly that the waiters were tired, the waiters, as we had several, always came in different ones. I didn't like that the menu with drinks was taken away from us without asking if we still need it, and my phone was on top of the menu, without asking the waiter took my phone and took away the menu. I was embarrassed because I did not allow my personal belongings to be touched. And as we were leaving we realised that we had our umbrella stolen in this restaurant. We left this restaurant without an umbrella, we paid more for cocktails than indicated and I was left hungry.

Ordered spaghetti de mare, seafood used are not fresh seafood. They taste old. The sauze is too much lactose. We spend 150 euro & none of those food We eat is italian. Even de wine. I LOVE italian authentic food. The service is fine but the People running it is so chagrijnig. Hurrah met hospitality i. Nederland. I havent eat my food .

Very friendly host and quick service. The food was neatly timed and tasted good. The fish dish I received was delicious, and luckily I was also able to eat some Italian spaghetti from our side dish. My partner's risotto unfortunately had less flavor, too much cheese. Free bubbles made up for this.

We had just come from a day at the Dolfinarium to end up eating some pizza, then we came across this tent Da GABRIELE, very neat hut, which we did not expect, in the end, we were soon offered bread and something to drink, great! After passing this on, the man kept walking up and down (no idea why), he spontaneously got nervous about this, eventually decided what we were going to eat, which was only a pizza (very simple) my friend had a beer where the owner (who kept walking up and down) asked if it was tasty after asking 8 times, in the end we half ate the pizza because we were all full so we wanted to take it with us, he was already quite irritated about having gotten the box with the pizza back drunk. We finished our drinks and asked my friend (I hadn't even finished talking) where we could pay. This was said to us very quickly and we had to leave quickly, we don't know why, but unfortunately!

The restaurant looked nice and cozy and the service was very friendly and professional. It is a slightly more expensive restaurant, but you definitely get your money's worth. My girlfriend and I had a 4 course dinner and it was very tasty. Parking is available nearby, a 5-minute walk away. That walk is along the water or through the city, absolutely fine.

What a wonderful and nice restaurant, especially if you know that they are only open on Christmas Eve. They also allow their staff to celebrate Christmas with family or friends!!

Onlangs voor de 4e keer gegeten. En weer hebben we de hele avond genoten! Het eten is heerlijk en de bediening is erg vriendelijk. Ik raad het zeker aan om hier een keer te gaan eten. Je kan de avond zo duur maken als je zelf wil. En de menu keuze is erg ruim.

Met collega’s een avond gegeten bij Da Gabrielle. Wat een ervaring! Echt Italiaans eten, met veel dingen op de kaart die je zo in Italië op het menu zou zien. Enorm lekkere pizza’s en pasta’s met goede ingrediënten. Ook enorm genoten van de diverse kleine gerechtjes als proeverij en super desserts. Hele fijne bediening, oog voor de klant!

Een heerlijke avond gehad met een drankje in de kelder en aansluitend een verrassend meergangen menu gehad. Zeer vriendelijke personeel.

Bijzonder goed gegeten hier met collega's. Bediening en eten is top!

Een bijzonder lovende review na een zeer geslaagd dinertje met werk. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel bij het maken van de reservering. Ze dachten heel fijn mee bij de invulling van de wensen. Op de avond zelf eerst even een drankje in de aperitiefbar en daarna aan tafel. Zoals afgesproken shared dining. Erg mooi opgemaakte schalen met voor elk wat wils. Het een nog lekkerder dan het ander. Al met al was dit voor eenieder een zeer geslaagde avond en een aanrader voor wie nog een fijne plek voor een dinertje zoekt.

Met een gezelschap van 8 personen bij da Gabriele gegeten. Er was geregeld dat we een proeverij van allerlei gerechten kregen. Was echt heerlijk. Ontvangst en bediening was prima. Al met al een fantastische avond gehad.

Heerlijk gegeten. Veel verschillende gerechten die allemaal zeer smaakvol waren. Shared dining met mooi opgemaakte schalen/planken. Erg gezellig op die manier en meer dan voldoende. Ook het dessert was zeer de moeite waard. 5 heerlijke zoete gerechten per persoon. Professionele en vriendelijke bediening. Ik kom hier zeker nog eens terug.

Drie gangen menu was fantastisch

Het eten is top! De bediening echter slecht. Ze werken in het weekend met shifts. Terwijl wij wachten op de dessert kaart (die maar niet werd gegeven) werd ons door de bediening even duidelijk gemaakt dat wij snel plaats moesten maken voor de volgende shift. Echter toen wij de dessert kaart in handen hadden was er niet ruimte om onze volledige bestelling door te geven of hij was al weg. Voor ons voelde het heel haastig en onpersoonlijk. Jammer.

A Chilli Mango Mocktale Corner spot is good. Nice pizza that is nicely cooked with pre roasted vegetables(this prevents the pizza from being too wet) with fresh cheese. The waiter has been working there for over 40 years and pays attention. Nice birthday moment for people celebrating that. Veal with sauce(they mixed up the order so the photo below is wrong, but they fixed it so it's ok) Ravioli(good) Vino Nobile(Great affordable match to the food) Dear with Lingonberry sauce. Food had many extras like potato's, pasta and salad Lastly we have the Tiramisu: Only thing made truly fresh Delicious So for a dinner of 3, wine and desert we have 157 euros. This fits a middlepoint in between low cost and high cost dining. It did what i'd thought it would do, no more no less.

Heerlijk gegeten. Vooral het Grand Dessert viel erg in de smaak. Vriendelijk personeel. De entree is een beetje krap, maar binnen stonden de tafels prettig opgesteld, zodat je een prima gesprek kon voeren zonder dat de buren er last van hadden. Het doet heel gezellig aan met de balkons waar weerzijden waar ook gegeten werd.

Één van de beste restaurants. Eten was heerlijk, wat je ook neemt. Bediening is heel vriendelijk. Het ziet er van binnen verrassend prachtig uit. Hadden we nooit gedacht, als je buiten kijkt. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Het eten was heerlijk, we zaten in de kelder , de bediening was goed maar wel rommelig, langs elkaar heen. Prijsklasse wel aan de dure kant, maar dan heb je zeker ook wat luxe. Personeel zeer vriendelijk . Met al een geslaagde avond

Verborgen pareltje in Harderwijk.. op het plein tussen het Michelin sterren geweld.. heerlijk Italiaans eten.. naast pizzas ook mooie een fijne Italiaanse gerechten.. de sfeer de bediening zijn top.. goede wijnkaart.. kortom nog een keer terug.

We hadden gehoopt op een gezellige avond waar we een paar uur konden tafelen. Nadat we eerst de voorgerechten hadden besteld, stonden die er binnen 5 minuten. De kwaliteit was voor ons erg onder de maat, dit ook aangegeven. En werd doorgegeven aan de keuken. Hierna hadden we de hoofdgerechten besteld en een flesje wijn. Echter waren de hoofdgerechten er eerder dan de wijn. Dit alles liep erg rommelig. En hebben daarna ook afgerekend zonder dessert of koffie te nemen. We moesten de wijn nog opdrinken en we kregen nog een limoncello van het huis. Voor ons was de avond een teleurstelling en waren we binnen 2 uur thuis, zelfs de taxichauffeur die ons afgezet en ophaalde vond het een snel diner.
