Service was reasonable. There were quite a group and we had to wait a long time for food. In addition, service was not flawless. Ambience is fine. I had crispy chicken, nice and spicy and excellent. The fries were very poor as was the mayonnaise. Dessert white chocolate crème brulee, the chocolate is really a joke. Three little curls. Too bad it's not much...

Had a great meal with my husband. The service is fast and they think along with you. The case scored a three out of five in the stimulus-poor environment.

We took a 4 course menu. Of which she would later include dessert...I unexpectedly received creme brullee. Which I didn't order, otherwise the apple crumble would have taken another 10 minutes. Without any excuse, I ate whatever was available... it was on a Monday and we had indicated that it was my daughter's birthday... nothing was done with it... a bit of a shame

Yesterday we went to eat with 6 people and as always the food was good. When paying I wanted to hand in my restaurant gift cards worth 90.00 euros, these cards were new and I checked the balance in advance. Scanning did not work and was simply told that the cards were blocked and no manager was called or effort was made to be able to take the cards anyway. So I had to pay the entire bill, when I got home I immediately checked the cards again and they were not blocked at all. I hope that if this situation occurs again in the restaurant that more effort will be made and service will be provided.

Eaten here very often. Evening meal very tasty but the high tea is definitely recommended here! For a bear restaurant it feels more luxurious while the prices are the same and affordable. Besides the fact that the food here is prepared with love, the service is also very nice.

Delicious food, nice staff, but even the large portion of spare ribs was not enough for me and the portion of fries was also very small.

On the top floor there is a room with a small indoor play area. Ideal to reserve on the top floor with kids. Nice that you could also share dishes and that they move with the times with the types of dishes. In my opinion, the food is always good here.

Had dinner here with Social Deal on Friday. Everything was very tasty! O.a. Tomato soup, Carpaccio, Satay, Creme Brulee, Great! Good portions. Nice atmosphere, nice, friendly staff! Unfortunately, 1 guest had to go home with a sick child. Food was given immediately. Great solution! 1 small minus. The high chair (used briefly) is unsafe. Child falls through it. We had a great evening!

Super friendly and professional staff. Spice crispy chicken and gyoza are recommended. Unfortunately, the Apple crumble turned out a bit dry. On the other hand, the white chocolate creme brulee was delicious!

Last Friday we went to the Beren in Den Hoorn, we have been here once before. This location of the Beren has a warm atmosphere and a nice insight into the kitchen. I thought the service was good, the staff is very friendly! We were often asked at the table if we wanted something to drink and occasionally checked whether everything was still okay at the table. We were there on Valentine's Day and had a 4 course dinner, in which you had all small dishes. I personally thought this was a very nice concept and it left you feeling very full afterwards. The food came quickly, was hot and tasted great! I definitely recommend this location of the Beren.

Eating within a time frame was not my thing, but.... I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is super attentive, the food served is more than excellent. Sometimes a bit of a long wait for the dishes. But when you have them in front of you it was more than worth the wait. We had a view of the kitchen and can only have respect for the chef there. Everything leaves his kitchen at great speed in the correct preparation and setting. A fun experience to experience. The restaurant itself is very full and noisy. But that seems to be part of this setup.

Was really delicious and great staff. Very worth repeating. And super well organized in terms of gluten-free options.

Great evening food, atmosphere and top service

We regularly visit 'de Beren'. But what happened on Jan. 19 was going on... We had lunch and ordered what we always order. Except for the smoked salmon...it was off the menu! An avocado sandwich with salmon could be ordered for €4.00 extra with a few very skinny strips of salmon. There was also an avocado sandwich without salmon with 2 hard-boiled eggs instead of poached! But what was most striking were the very small portions that were served. In short, it was definitely not worth the money. Too bad, but no Bears for us for a while!

Beren Den Hoorn with Kruidvat voucher. Delicious food, great service and a very cozy place inside. Shrimp and gyoza to start, followed by pork tenderloin sateh and a dame blanche. The cocktail was also great. Fortunately, you won't notice the unpleasant outdoor environment inside. We recommend this business in every respect.

It was a very pleasant experience. Upon entering we were quickly helped to a table and also given something to drink. The staff was very attentive. We really enjoyed the three-course menu. The price-quality ratio is superb.

What a bad experience. Order was not good (it contained spicy sauce instead of mayonnaise). When I got it back, I only got a plain sandwich with a bunch of chicken, without lettuce (it was on it before), without Mayonnaise. The message was that I should just add the Mayonnaise that came with the fries. A super meager, bad sandwich, with a pitifully hopeless bowl of salad for 17.50. If only the Bears were like they used to be.

Nice atmosphere, food good quality. The amount is shockingly little. Half a cup of fries, there is hardly any peanut sauce on the satay, literally 6 prawn crackers chips, "vegetables" really minimal. In short, tasty but very sparse. Price/quantity ratio poor.

We have been there for christmas. They had a christmas menu to choose from, we were asked to send in our order/ selection 2 weeks upfront. The restaurant was very nice decorated, we even got a christmas gift. Our pre-selected courses were delicious. The play area for kids is amazing, unfortunatly it got too crowded, especially with older/ wilder childs. (The play area is meant for kids 4 to 12)

We went to De Beren for dinner yesterday for a family event. You know what to expect with the bears and usually that's completely fine. Yesterday the service upstairs in the restaurant was mediocre to poor. Our table was often ignored and we had to ask for the menu and drinks ourselves. Furthermore, the coleslaw was completely dried out, bitter and had no taste. The staff responded with “it's actually just for the color on your plate”.

Continued to eat well at De Beren, this time ordered "to share" snacks. Good idea those small portions 👍👍

A somewhat classier Beren, great. Sweet staff with humor, I love it! Food delicious. The only downside here is the acoustics. The large, open space makes it very noisy when fully occupied. On the other hand, the enormous space also creates a beautiful atmosphere.

It was a lot of fun! The atmosphere is good and they have a kids playground. Super handy to let them play in between. The food was delicious and there is also a children's menu for the children with an attractive price. You can come earlier for dinner and it was not unpleasant because there were already quite a few people.

Super busy, waited 2 hours for the food. Excellent service for allergies. Finish food less, pork tenderloin raw on the inside. The menu says food is flambéed on the table, but they don't do that anymore. Remove that from the menu, then €70 for a piece of tenderloin is a lot to simply put on the table.

Food fine, nothing special. Service was amateurish. Staff did not seem very professional. The location is also not very pleasant. It was fine, but I wouldn't go back anytime soon.

Dined on November 5, 2024. The Beren maassluis is closed, so on to the Beren in den Hoorn. What a beautiful place this is and what a lovely staff. Very attentively upon entering we were welcomed with my name? (it wasn't on my forehead anyway) but it must have had to do with our reservation. We had the 3 course dinner via Kruidvat. After quickly consuming the drinks, we chose carpatio and goat cheese croquettes from the menu as a starter. For main course the pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce and the satay chicken. With sweet potato fries for one and French fries for the other and a small salad. Sauce, sweet potato and salad calculated separately, total € 6.00. Food was perfect and delicious. The service was top notch. Worth 5 stars in itself. In short, we had a very pleasant evening. Again soon.

The welcome was very warm and there is a lovely terrace with wind screens and heaters, which makes it wonderful to relax. The menu is also delicious. Simple, but very tasty.

We ate here via Social deal, super nice staff and they really think along with you. We didn't have to rush, but we did eat a bit... we received our starter and entree together and were asked if we liked it or could send our dish to the kitchen!! Very nice! Only with a 4-course meal it seems fine to me that several people would be quite full after the main course... including us and we didn't really have time for dessert, but all the desserts you could choose from could not be taken with you, which I think is a bit strange. I don't think you can take anything with you if I've already paid for it🤨🤨 they could come up with something there. All in all, a very tasty meal and a cozy tent, but that downside makes it a bit of a shame…
