I had a starter, but the carpaccio was unfortunately frozen in the middle. I reported it, and it was removed from the bill, which was very kind. My main course was the skewers, which were really not tasty and cold. I thought they came out of plastic and had been reheated in a microwave. My husband had the pork tenderloin, which wasn't very tasty either; it was dry and not very warm. All in all, I wouldn't go back.

We went on December 28th, very quiet. I ordered chicken satay for a normal price, but the quality was unfortunately lacking. The company across from me was very nice, which made up for everything.

A Christmas dinner on Boxing Day, tasted nothing special, the quantity was 2/3 of a normal dinner, and the price was 1.5 times normal. We were shivering in the cold, and some guests were wearing coats. We got up early the next morning to flush the food down the toilet through every orifice. Luckily, it only lasted two days. I reported all this and asked the owner for his phone number to contact me. Still hasn't been done, so that's the last time.

We've eaten here several times and it's always been excellent, but tonight it wasn't quite right. We had to wait a very long time to order. We finally had to ask for it ourselves. Unfortunately, the starters were cold, and we pointed this out, but they couldn't help but say, "It's a shame." The main course was fine, but we had to wait a long time for dessert, so we asked again. We received one dessert that wasn't correct, and after another wait, the correct one arrived. It's always perfectly fine, but this time it wasn't!

It was actually all fine; the food wasn't overwhelming, but it was good. Service upstairs was less present later in the meal, but it was good and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant.

The €29.50 Albert Heijn deal. If this is how to attract customers, they've missed the point. Both the starter, carpaccio, and the main course, the chicken satay, were completely flavorless. The rock-hard bits of bacon on the carpaccio were so overpowering that you couldn't even taste the meat. The Beren Delft on the Beestenmarkt is already nothing special, but this one really needs to be added to the list. A missed opportunity, I think!! December 5, 2025: New opportunity with Social Deal. The soup was lukewarm, but the rest was definitely good. Excellent menu and a wide selection. The hot chicken sandwich was excellent, the fried egg carpaccio was excellent!

We dined on November 5, 2024. De Beren Maassluis is closed, so off we went to De Beren in den Hoorn. What a lovely restaurant this is, and what friendly staff. Upon arrival, we were greeted very attentively by name (which wasn't on my forehead anyway), but this must have been due to our reservation. We had the three-course dinner through Kruidvat. After the drinks were quickly ordered, we chose carpatio and goat cheese croquettes from the menu as a starter. For the main course, we had pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce and chicken satay. One of us had sweet potato fries, the other French fries, and a small salad. The sauce, sweet potato, and salad were charged separately for a total of €6.00. The food was perfect and delicious. The service was excellent. It's worth 5 stars in itself. In short, we had a very pleasant evening. We'll be back soon. Update December 4, 2025. We had another fantastic meal here. Kudos to all the staff. Professional, skilled, and friendly.

A bit small, 1 container of fries with 2 satay dishes, a shame, I wanted to say something but my husband said never mind.

I spontaneously went here for dinner with my partner after a long journey home. However, we both got food poisoning. We also had to wait a long time for our food, even though there weren't many guests, so that was unusual.

Cozy restaurant with a play area for kids upstairs. Perhaps something to do about the wooden S-shaped staircase. Some children walk up like elephants. It's annoying if you're sitting right underneath them.

I was skeptical about the high table for two by the bar, but thanks in part to the bar staff's openness to conversation, it became even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the portions were ample for us. The service from the lady who kept helping us was also excellent! She was friendly and open to helping us with our choices. All in all, a pleasant and enjoyable evening!

Gluten-free dining went wrong. I emailed in August with a few questions, hoping the kitchen would address the issue. So far, no response. A shame, since the atmosphere, staff, and food are generally good.

They've got everything right here. Good, fast, and friendly service. Everything is well-organized. A cozy atmosphere. Very tasty food, for a good price. There could be more variety in the ice cream desserts. I'll definitely go here again.

Den Hoorn is a good restaurant with very friendly staff. And the food (spare ribs) was delicious. In short, a top location.

It's a cozy place. And the meals are perfect.

The spare ribs were truly awful. They were clearly reheated and then covered in a thin layer of sauce. Finally, they sprinkled some paprika on top, which didn't improve the overall experience. The fries tasted like they'd been fried a second time. All in all, absolutely not worth the price.

We had a great meal and the service was excellent. It's always a nice place to grab a bite to eat. Our favorite is definitely the spare ribs.

Had a great dinner at De Beren by the A4 Delft, the staff were friendly and spoke English and we were able to make a reservation pretty quickly for the same day. The restaurant has plenty of car parking in front of it, so you can always find a space even on busier times. Drinks; they have plenty of alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic versions, their non alcoholic cocktails are however pre-mixed and tasted mediocre, only their blueberry mojito tasted good as it was not a pre mix, their virgin mojito had no taste, and their pornstar non-alcoholic tasted like cough syrup. Mains; the main food was amazing, I highly recommend the calamari's as they were super tasty with the dipping sauce. T Their chicken crush burger was juicy and tasted pretty nice, it comes with a side of sweet potato fries and or normal french fries and they were crispy and delicious, it also came with coleslaw but it was a little bland, mixing some of the mayo sauce of the fries into it, makes it perfect. The spicy crispy chicken was actually spicy! It is mixed in with vegetables and was creamy and tasty! It also comes with a side of sweet potato fries or french fries with mayo. Desert; their desert was pretty nice, and it is worth it in my opinion, the apple crumble is sweet but not too sweet and has an amazing smell, and the banana royale has a nice caramel sauce and comes with 2 scoops of ice cream. Atmosphere; the place was moderate busy, and they had a lot of tables, I sat down next to a plant and my allergies started acting up and the staff were friendly that they switched my table and even offered to move the plants away if it caused more issues! Highly recommend this place if you are on the A4 and looking for a lunch/dinner place!

I'd never been here before! So, today was my first time, and what a great place! The kids can have a great time in the play area, which is fantastic! The food was delicious and of good quality. The staff is always smiling and enjoy their work! They're also happy to chat with the kids! All in all, a great place! See you soon!

Massive food. The restaurant is okay. The decor is in line with the Beren concept. The kitchen is visible and looks okay. The number of plastic bins at the kitchen entrance seems a bit sparse, but generally clean enough. Restrooms are checked every two hours and, given the number of customers (which are busy), are also cleaned. The food is standard but good. Don't expect haute cuisine, but definitely better than a fast-food restaurant for the same price. The menu is a good option: carpaccio, Beren burger, and crème brûlée. The service could be improved. While friendly, it's slow and doesn't pay much attention to the customer. For example, asking if someone has finished eating while they're still eating is a definite no-go. The space between courses is disproportionate. But oh well. All in all, it's perfectly fine.

Worst beer establishment I've ever been to, and there have been quite a few. Not the first time I've been here either. I've been three times and had a bad experience each time. The previous times always had a long wait. This time, after a 60-minute wait, our main course finally arrived. But it was ice cold, as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. The staff doesn't bat an eye; it's outrageous! 1.5 hours for one drink. They leave a lot behind. When you tell them you've been waiting an hour for your food, that it's getting cold so you're not going to eat it, and you want to pay for your starter and drinks, the staff just says, "Oh, really?" And they seem completely stunned... Don't go here because it's a real waste of your time.

1st acquaintance was fine. Nice business, smooth and friendly staff, varied extensive menu. Note that the front/sliding door remains closed otherwise too cold for the customers who are sitting there.

I have never been to De Beren and heard from many people that you should go there once, so I have just been to De Beren in Den Hoorn and ordered unlimited spareribs there. While preparing the spareribs, when they came out, you could see someone from the service varnishing the sauce on top, this was also the only thing on the spareribs in terms of herbs or ingredients because the rest was tasteless, gray and really never, never, ever again. The staff is also not very skilled because they did not even ask if I liked it while I kept this comment to myself, and I thought I would say this when they asked if I liked it, but this never happened. So that is why I gave this bad review and I hope that people will never, never, ever order spareribs from them again.

Went there yesterday and were nicely offered a table. After that we didn't see anyone anymore and we weren't approached by the staff so we couldn't order anything. After half an hour we left for another branch in Zoetermeer. We were served nicely there. No, they won't see me there anymore

Invited by our daughter and son-in-law, beautiful and cozy place and nice service, the lunch was tasty and excellent coffee with something tasty.

We had a wonderful lunch at The Beren with friends and were really impressed! The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions, and everything was fresh and well-presented. The place was very clean and hygienic, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere inside was amazing—stylish, warm, and welcoming. A big plus was the play area for kids, which kept them entertained while we enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend for families and groups!

Service was reasonable. There were quite a group and we had to wait a long time for food. In addition, service was not flawless. Ambience is fine. I had crispy chicken, nice and spicy and excellent. The fries were very poor as was the mayonnaise. Dessert white chocolate crème brulee, the chocolate is really a joke. Three little curls. Too bad it's not much...

Had a great meal with my husband. The service is fast and they think along with you. The case scored a three out of five in the stimulus-poor environment.

We took a 4 course menu. Of which she would later include dessert...I unexpectedly received creme brullee. Which I didn't order, otherwise the apple crumble would have taken another 10 minutes. Without any excuse, I ate whatever was available... it was on a Monday and we had indicated that it was my daughter's birthday... nothing was done with it... a bit of a shame

Yesterday we went to eat with 6 people and as always the food was good. When paying I wanted to hand in my restaurant gift cards worth 90.00 euros, these cards were new and I checked the balance in advance. Scanning did not work and was simply told that the cards were blocked and no manager was called or effort was made to be able to take the cards anyway. So I had to pay the entire bill, when I got home I immediately checked the cards again and they were not blocked at all. I hope that if this situation occurs again in the restaurant that more effort will be made and service will be provided.

Eaten here very often. Evening meal very tasty but the high tea is definitely recommended here! For a bear restaurant it feels more luxurious while the prices are the same and affordable. Besides the fact that the food here is prepared with love, the service is also very nice.

Had dinner here with Social Deal on Friday. Everything was very tasty! O.a. Tomato soup, Carpaccio, Satay, Creme Brulee, Great! Good portions. Nice atmosphere, nice, friendly staff! Unfortunately, 1 guest had to go home with a sick child. Food was given immediately. Great solution! 1 small minus. The high chair (used briefly) is unsafe. Child falls through it. We had a great evening!

Last Friday we went to the Beren in Den Hoorn, we have been here once before. This location of the Beren has a warm atmosphere and a nice insight into the kitchen. I thought the service was good, the staff is very friendly! We were often asked at the table if we wanted something to drink and occasionally checked whether everything was still okay at the table. We were there on Valentine's Day and had a 4 course dinner, in which you had all small dishes. I personally thought this was a very nice concept and it left you feeling very full afterwards. The food came quickly, was hot and tasted great! I definitely recommend this location of the Beren.

Eating within a time frame was not my thing, but.... I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is super attentive, the food served is more than excellent. Sometimes a bit of a long wait for the dishes. But when you have them in front of you it was more than worth the wait. We had a view of the kitchen and can only have respect for the chef there. Everything leaves his kitchen at great speed in the correct preparation and setting. A fun experience to experience. The restaurant itself is very full and noisy. But that seems to be part of this setup.
