With the social deal, we chose a 4-course menu for 5 people. We spent a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes there. Upon arrival, we were seated at a table and were forgotten about. After 25 minutes, we finally asked what we were supposed to be doing. We ordered, and the starter arrived on time, but we had to wait another hour for the main course. We then had to ask the staff again to find out what was going on. We were told it would be delivered urgently. After waiting another 25 minutes, we were approached again, and then the food arrived. During the entire time, we weren't asked if we wanted anything to drink. We had to ask for everything until something happened. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, but I think the young man we had forgot about us and was more focused on chatting than helping people. Ultimately, we enjoyed our meal, but we definitely wouldn't return due to the absurdly long wait times.

I reserved on time and arrived 1:45 minutes before the movie started. This was also mentioned in the reservation, as requested. In short: The food was poor quality; cold, overcooked pork tenderloin, and raw and cold vegetables. The main course took 55 minutes, so I couldn't have dessert. I would have had to pay the entire bill. After much discussion, it was adjusted, but it was too late for the movie. This was the last time for me.

Worst spare rib ever, and I was sick all evening! Friendly staff, nice decor (2 stars), unfortunately, the spare ribs looked "too fake," like they'd been reheated or deep-fried, almost like a "Mexican" with bones in them. The sauce was poured over them from a squeeze bottle. The second piece was a liver-colored piece of fleecy... anyway, I'll spare you the details. A young waitress carefully dissected it at our table with a knowledgeable eye. We mentioned it again at the checkout. They kept a drink in... I got sick during the movie...

We booked through social deals, which meant you couldn't sit 8 people together. The first person we spoke to could only get the manager to come over if necessary. I'd never seen such a stubborn person, so we could have two tables for 4 people sitting one after the other. He was rude and definitely didn't want to think about anything. The food wasn't bad, but the vegetarian tomato soup or the one with meatballs was just the same soup, even the one who didn't order the vegetarian option had no meatballs. The fries weren't really warm, and two of them came with mayo. When I asked the person for mayo, he said he'd be right there. He first brought people to the table, then cleared the tables. Luckily, there was one Rick who was very friendly and helpful. But it was my first time, but not again, sorry Rick. It certainly wasn't your fault. People who want vegetarian options shouldn't order "Doep" there, because they get the same soup, just the meatballs removed.

Went with a Kruidvat voucher. €30 for a 2 x 3-course menu. What can you expect? The service is good, but you shouldn't expect them to be at your table for every course. Questions are answered politely. I do find the dishes a bit lacking in warmth. The flavors are good, it's a shame the warmth wasn't there. Dessert, on the other hand, was oven-warm. All in all, you can hardly complain about the price. The staff is very dedicated, with occasional guidance. They're definitely willing to accommodate you.

Sadly, like many before me, NEVER AGAIN. I have nothing to say about the food, except for the unannounced surcharge for sweet potato fries. We spontaneously combined it with the movie and bought a Social Deal voucher. We knew this, because the corner where we were sitting felt like the "Social Deal corner." The restaurant is open until 10 PM, and by 8:30 PM we were already being looked away and sucked away by all the vacuum cleaners around us. The trash cans were being rolled out of the kitchen, and the music stopped. A disgraceful experience for us. Other people wanted to come for a drink, but they were turned away because they were closing early. 0.0 in hospitality experience and insight. The manager should be ashamed.

Never again! A disaster. Zero hospitality knowledge/management. They're acting up at your table with excuses and apologies. Your food is cold, and the chicken satay is a boiled, skinless chicken nugget. You could train the staff to deliver quality instead of a script filled with gimmicks like "I'll just ask where your food is." The moment you order, six people come by to ask if you still want a drink. The trick is so transparent: your revenue comes from bringing more people in for quality, not from selling more drinks to dissatisfied customers.

A very bad experience. We ordered four courses upon arrival; the first course arrived on time, but the portions were very different. We had to wait an hour for the main course, but after asking, it arrived 15 minutes later. Unfortunately, the croquette dish was cold! We reported this. They had swapped the side dish with the burgers because the toppings were different, and it was on the wrong plate. Furthermore, one burger was made incorrectly. The dessert was tasty, but the bowl was broken and not very good. All in all, terrible. We mentioned this to the waitress and when we paid. The gentleman at the checkout didn't seem to mind; apparently, he's used to worse?! Nothing was done to make it right.

Bad experience. The entrance was fine, the restaurant is nicely decorated. We ordered a three-course menu and were asked which side dish we wanted: fries, sweet potato fries, or rice. We chose rice and fries. A little later, we were told they were out of rice—how can rice be out in a restaurant that only opens for dinner?! Very strange, then we opted for sweet potato fries, which apparently cost us an extra €2, even though we just wanted rice. The service was rude, the staff was terrible, and the grumpy man behind the counter where we paid was unhelpful. The portion of whipped cream with the apple crumble dessert was laughable: €0.75 for a small sauce container with a tiny dollop of whipped cream. It wasn't even about the extra charge, but about what we received and how it was served. The tomato soup was tasteless, and the main course was fine, but also very bland in our opinion. Perhaps the first thing: the fries aren't fresh and are literally in containers on the counter in the kitchen. As a guest, you WALK past this place when you go to the restroom. This is absolutely unacceptable; fries have to be freshly fried in the fryer, per receipt. Furthermore, the staff stands in front of the kitchen doing nothing and gets in the way. We won't be back, unfortunately. The menu also differs from the regular De Beren menu on the website.

We came in and I asked if we could sit by the window, which unfortunately wasn't possible. We ordered our appetizer, which was also delicious. Then our main course arrived first, my delicious spare ribs. I asked the young man where my fries were, and his answer was: "Or or or." I said, "Or or or what? Either the fries are hot or the spare ribs are hot." I told him all food should be served immediately, and then he turned around and said, "Or or or." It was definitely not my day, or or, because my fries were burnt, and my girlfriend's son's bowl of fries had a piece broken off. My spare ribs were delicious, though. The manager was very friendly but perhaps completely out of his mind because of us. I have to add that our drinks were free.

We immediately ordered our food, which arrived quickly, but not quickly enough for my rib fingers to stay warm. My beer glass had also seen better days; it was very dirty. The main course arrived soon after, so quickly that the starter plates hadn't been cleared yet. We simply had to exchange them. The main course itself was fine, but the fries were still very pale. After finishing them, we had to wait so long for someone to come to our table that we left after two courses of our three-course meal. The woman behind the counter did notice that we hadn't had dessert yet and apologized. In short, plenty of room for improvement.

Drinks are not stored cold, glasses were dirty, and cutlery was not brought until after we already had the food. As well as that, the staff did not bother to check in on us and we had to call them each time we wanted to order drinks or even to place our next dish order, since the staff also forgot about that. The food was underwhelming. For our mains we had a dry and half burnt schnitzel and a soggy and greasy burger. The other courses were not any better. I will not return and I can not recommend.

What a disaster! The reception and service were, to put it mildly, holiday-park-level. It doesn't necessarily have to be star-rated, but a smile would be the least we could do. It wasn't busy, but we still had to wait a long time for our food, which is no problem. The fact that we had to go out and find cutlery ourselves after our main course was brought was especially laughable. I ordered chicken without mushrooms, so what do I get? Mushrooms mixed with my chicken (with sauce that had been under the heat lamp for a bit too long...). Because there was no time to make a new chicken (the film started with 10 minutes), we decided to share the schnitzel my table companion had ordered. It was so tough it was barely cut... after chewing the first bite for five minutes, we decided to leave it alone. I can't say anything bad about the fries that came with it... but hey, what can you ruin with a heartless, reheated McCain mess?

The service was ridiculously bad. The glasses past the bottle of water were shoved across the table. The beer was lukewarm, was bought from the local supermarket. The glasses did not match the drinks served. Brewery out of the way? Starter was served to 4 of the 5 people. Number 5 could start his starter 15 minutes later. Main courses ditto, again 1 had to wait more than 15 minutes. Whereby that order was also not delivered with the fries. The salmon of 1 of the 5 guests was still raw on the inside. The mayonnaise had turned yellow from the warming plate. The salad that was with the raw salmon was served again with the 2nd salmon that was warm. The fries differed in quality per plate. Desserts were also served completely unevenly. Whereby the chocolates were completely forgotten. Unfortunately another evening ruined and more than 200 euros lighter. De Beren do something about this!

We wanted to have a nice meal and that was possible at the Beren. It has become clear that this used to be possible. None of the employees were older than 20, except for 1 person. The food was, for lack of a better word, meager and very expensive for the quantity. A Caesar salad that you serve as a side dish for €21 (lettuce, 3 cherry tomatoes, 1 egg and 3 pieces of chicken. We counted) and a schnitzel that was good with a minimal amount of fries and 2 slices of mini aubergine, 1 small piece of baby chicory and an oversized piece of bell pepper. End of the ride €70 lighter and the stomach further filled with popcorn during the movie. Too bad, we saw the Beren in better times. I think I will wait another year or so before I visit this Beren again.

Duurde 30 minuten eer ze kwamen vragen of we alvast wat wouden drinken. Wat 'borrelhapjes' besteld en drinken. Na 45min kwamen ze 'alvast' de bitterballen brengen. Welke verre vsn heet waren. Weer 45 minuten later vriendelijk bedankt voor de rest van de bestelling en weg gelopen omdat weanders onze film zouden missen. 1 ster is nog teveel Na de film bij de betaalautomaat van de parkeerkeer garage nog 2 stellen gesproken die meer dan 3 uur gezeten hadden voor zeer ondermaatse gerechten.

A quick bite to eat after the movie with a Kruidvat promotion. We got a special menu to choose from. So far so good. Starters Carpaccio and goat cheese croquettes were delicious. Unfortunately my pork tenderloin wasn't that tasty, and the seasonal vegetables that came with it... well, see photo! A small piece of bell pepper, a tiny thin carrot and a nasty slice of courgette 😞 oh yeah, and a small bowl of raw vegetables (read grated cabbage) without dressing and incredibly bitter and old. Asked for a new one, came right away, but this one too was without dressing and inedible. Also half a container of mayonnaise with it. The satay was tasty according to my table companion. The dessert was crème brulee with white chocolate according to the menu, but the latter was nowhere to be found. Looked more like custard. Eventually some was given with the apple crumble, which was very tasty. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere on the lamps hanging above the tables. When I had to go to the toilet, there were already 2 ladies waiting, toilet paper was gone. Another lady came, then to the disabled toilet but there was poop on the wall. A young man came by, but he didn't really know what to do with it. Eventually (our) waitress came to refill the toilet paper and oh yes, to refill the soap, that was gone too. On the form that was hanging there you could see that there had not been any cleaning that day. Nothing was checked off. Our waitress really did her best, was also friendly, but I can imagine that she was not happy about having to work with such colleagues and in the end she had to solve everything by herself. Unfortunately, we will not come here again, too bad it was a great location so close to the Pathé cinema, and easy parking.

The pork tenderloin was only a small piece, clearly less than promised on the menu. For prices like 25-30 euros per main course, you can really expect more! Went there tonight. Have had several restaurants from this chain but this is the worst. Staff pays little attention to the tables. If you speak to someone they don't hear you or don't want to, I'll keep that in the middle. Had to wait almost an hour for the starter. Main course followed quickly. Food tasted good. Asked for the menu for a dessert but after half an hour and trying to get attention no one was there. Go to the cash register myself to pay and there you have to tell where you were sitting. We heard more people with complaints before and after us. De Beren in Tilburg is once but never again.

Nowadays everything is expensive. So I can't judge if it is really more expensive or normal. It is tasty. But they also sell mixed drinks like Sex on the beach. But then you don't get Sex on the beach but peachtree 7-up. So never order a mix there! Because if you don't mix it yourself you are actually cheating. Those kinds of mixed drinks are universally the same everywhere, all over the world! If you don't stick to that you are already cheating. This was a shame, I paid so much money and then I don't get the drink I ordered. Ready-made from a bottle is not right and is nonsense and not what I ordered. Salad with the main courses was a bit dry without dressing. Half a cherry tomato and a slice of cucumber.. price/quality is very far apart here. Nothing better than a brasserie... the only thing that was okay was the decoration.. we skipped dessert.. good lesson, never again this franchise.. We thought, after so many years, let's give it another chance. Reception was good. Each course took 30 minutes (a bit long in our opinion, especially considering the dishes and their ease) drinks are still not up to par.. slow service.. no fries sauce with main courses. Not a good experience with the Beren Tilburg. We first went to the movies and made a reservation at 7:30 PM. That all went well, nothing wrong, the order went quite smoothly and the starter of bread with spreads came really fast. But then the main course. We had to wait for at least an hour and a quarter. A larger group came after us and they got their main course even earlier. The menu said that you got hollandaise sauce with the sea bass. I didn't see that. Also fresh vegetables, well that was minimal; 3 pieces. And a super small bowl of salad. Of course I should have reported that right away but I was a bit worn out by the long (Mission Impossible) movie before. You pay € 25 for such a dish, you should expect something in return I think. All in all not a good experience with the Beren in Tilburg.

Sorry. Ik klaag nooit over een Restaurant omdat ik zelf kok ben, en weet hoe het in een restaurant eraan toe kan gaan, dat het druk kan zijn. Maar deze keer ben ik echt geirriteerd omdat ten eerste tussen elke gang minimaal 25 / 30 minuten zit. Onze tafels worden pas afgehaald als het volgende gerecht geserveerd word de gerechten kloppen niet als hoe ze op het menu staan, hebben 1x drinken gehad en daarna 2 uur lang niet meer na gevraagd. Dit heb ik nooit eerder meegemaakt. Personeel loopt steeds met lege handen langs. Dikke onvoldoende van mij.

Wij hadden gereserveerd met 20 personen. We zouden allemaal het menu nemen. Bij het bestellen bleek de helft van de voorgerechten al niet te bestellen. Het was 17.30 en 3 gerechten vd 6 waren er al niet meer. Hoofdgerechten waren lauw. Sommige zelfs koud. We kregen het eten allemaal op andere momenten. De vega sate was heel slecht, supertaai. Bij de toetjes ging het ook weer erg mis. Toen wij vroegen waar de ontbrekende nagerechten bleven kregen we vd jongedame als reaktie Ooh my god met draaiende ogen. Toen mijn collega naar de manager liep om dit te bespreken was haar reactie: ik zou haar voor je willen slaan, maar ja dat kan niet. Sorry hoor maar dit kan toch niet! Wij komen hier echt nooit meer terug!

It was 5:30 PM and 3 of the 6 dishes were already gone. Main courses were lukewarm. Some even cold. We all got the food at different times. The veggie satay was very bad, super tough. The desserts also went very wrong. When we asked where the missing desserts were, the young lady responded with Ooh my god with rolling eyes. When my colleague went to the manager to discuss this, her response was: I would like to hit her for you, but that is not possible. Sorry, but this is not possible! We will never come back here again!

We thought it would be nice and simple to eat at De Beren again. Unfortunately it was disappointing. Upon entering we were kindly greeted by the lady at the counter, who took us to our table. We opted for the 4-course package, where you immediately indicate your choices and the courses are served. We ordered two glasses of white wine, which were served in two different types of glasses. The amount of wine was also a bit sparse. Fortunately the first dish came quickly. Unfortunately, the second course took quite some time. What was especially unfortunate, my wife got her dish almost 15 minutes before me. She was ready when I had yet to start. We ended up being there for over 2.5 hours. We also noticed that the staff paid little attention to the guests. Even though it was quiet, they were often on their phones. When we left we were no longer greeted friendly. There are more points to mention, such as the loud music and the lack of atmosphere, but I don't feel like turning this experience into a book. In short: we won't be coming back here. The food was not special: bland in taste, uneven portions, long waiting times and little customer focus. Apart from the friendly welcome, the service was disappointing. Fortunately, there are plenty of other, much nicer restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely skip this from now on.

Have eaten here regularly, always good. Yesterday I went here again with my boyfriend. You have to wait 20 minutes before you get your drink. The portions of the food have shrunk a lot, while the prices have gone up. Vegetable was a carrot with a poor piece of bell pepper. The dame blanche was ridiculously expensive for what you got. The waiter was complaining about colleagues. We only got mayonnaise when the food was almost gone (asked three different people from the waiters). We asked for the seasonal dessert, which was not there. You won't see us again. Things have gone downhill here, too bad!

The waitress also couldn't help but smile when she came to take the drinks and food. This was also the last time she asked if anyone wanted something to drink. Gezellig samen eten bij De Beren... helaas... het voorgerecht werd in 3 fases gebracht en na een opmerking over het hoofdgerecht (eerst kregen we een halve portie op 1 van de borden en daarna werd het gerecht opnieuw gebracht met een verkeerde saus) werd onze tafel compleet genegeerd met de zeer professionele opmerking door de serveerster "hier heb ik echt geen zin in". Dus helaas geen dessert en kopje koffie meer. Bij het betalen werd duidelijk dat er over onze tafel gekletst was. Jammer, maar wij hebben erg gelachen om deze belachelijke en kinderachtige vertoning. Hier gisteravond gegeten met Kruidvat vouchers. Als we om half zeven naar binnen gaan is de zaak half vol. Ik snap nu waarom. We hebben een driegangenmenu. Vooraf bestellen we de drankjes. Een dubbele Affligem en een pilsje. Ongevraagd krijg ik een groot glas pils dat maar voor tweederde is gevuld. Als ik vraag of de ober er al stiekem van gedronken heeft, krijg ik een vaag verhaal over drukte etc. Ik vertel dat ik al 2 biertjes op heb en een kleintje heb besteld. Dit wordt even later gebracht en tot mijn grote verbazing is dat ook slecht getapr en half vol. Onze buurtjes kijken net als wij verbaasd naar deze schrale tapprestatie. De voorgerechten waren matig. Een schaaltje pikante garnalen en fantasieloze carpaccio. Mijn partner koos een saté met frites als hoofdgerecht en ik de zalm. De frites zijn prima. Nog lekker heet als ze op tafel komen. De saté is ok, mijn zalm droog en kaal. Aan een dame blanche als toet kun je weinig verpesten dus die is ok. De apple crumble blijkt lastiger en is melig. Bij het afrekenen blijkt toch het grote pilsje op de bon te staan wat weer gedoe geeft. Samengevat: als ik in een restaurant iets krijg wat ik zelf thuis op een doordeweekse dag net zo goed of beter kan klaarmaken, vind in dat tegenvallen. Dat is hier dus het geval. Matig eten en matige bediening. Tot slot: Als in naaf het toilet loop zie ik de potten appelmoes van de nabij gelegen Jumbo op de counter staan. Zou ik nooit doen. Als de bedoeling van een actie het werven van nieuwe klanten is, zou ik het anders aanpakken.

Voorafgaand aan een filmavondje hebben we hier gereserveerd. Als VG rib fingers en gamba’s. Rib fingers waren 4 spare rib botjes met een klein beetje vlees eraan. Denk dat ze zelf niet weten wat rib fingers inhoud. Gamba’s waren klein (iets te lang gebakken) maar ok. Spicy crispy chicken als HG was een goeie portie maar ook wel echt aan de pikante kant. Kipsaté zonder atjar etc. Op een koud bord uitgeserveerd. Frietjes waren al koud voordat ik begonnen was. Appel crumble en witte choco crème brulee als NG. Appel crumble was lekker maar de brulee mistte de chocolade helaas. Kwa eten zeker niet aan te raden. Service misschien ook wel. Borden bleven lang op tafel staan en bijna te laat voor de film, terwijl dat gecommuniceerd was.

zoals in Goes, waar alles altijd top geregeld is: goede bediening, heerlijk eten, niks op aan te merken. Maar Tilburg? Een regelrechte ramp. Twee dagen van tevoren gereserveerd en bij aankomst werden we op een barkruk geparkeerd. Toen ik aangaf dat ik rugklachten had en om een normale stoel vroeg, werd er botweg gezegd dat dit niet mogelijk was. Als klap op de vuurpijl moesten we ook nog aan een tafel zitten met wildvreemden. Ongemakkelijk is zacht uitgedrukt. De jongeman van de bediening probeerde het op te lossen, maar zijn collega met haar chagrijnige blik kapte hem direct af met een harde “nee.” En dan het eten… Onze gerechten werden eerst doodleuk aan de andere tafelgenoten gegeven. Die begonnen erover te discussiëren, waarna wij eindelijk ons eten kregen. Eén gerecht, bitterballen met kaas, bleek compleet leeg van binnen. De rest was smakeloos en totaal niet wat we gewend zijn. Kortom: chaotisch, ongeïnteresseerde bediening en slecht eten. Dit was de eerste en meteen ook de laatste keer dat we naar De Beren in Tilburg zijn gegaan. Wat een aanfluiting!

Made a reservation two days in advance and upon arrival we were parked on a bar stool. When I indicated that I had back problems and asked for a normal chair, I was bluntly told that this was not possible. To top it all off, we also had to sit at a table with complete strangers. Uncomfortable is putting it mildly. The young man at the counter tried to solve it, but his colleague with her grumpy look immediately cut him off with a hard “no.” And then the food... Our dishes were first casually given to the other table companions. They started discussing it, after which we finally got our food. One dish, bitterballen with cheese, turned out to be completely empty inside. The rest was tasteless and not at all what we are used to. In short: chaotic, disinterested service and bad food. This was the first and also the last time we went to De Beren in Tilburg. What a mockery!
