Today we went to eat at De Beren Tilburg, normally it is always very good, today it was not the case once when ordering, it was already wrong, had to speak to someone myself for the order, after 10 minutes we got a bread board where the bread was hard, then tomato soup cold and no soap balls, after waiting 40 minutes they would bring the main course without fries, we did not see it anymore, but then we asked for the dessert, which was tasty but unfortunately it was not as good as usual and also no compensation

We thought it would be nice and simple to eat at De Beren again. Unfortunately it was disappointing. Upon entering we were kindly greeted by the lady at the counter, who took us to our table. We opted for the 4-course package, where you immediately indicate your choices and the courses are served. We ordered two glasses of white wine, which were served in two different types of glasses. The amount of wine was also a bit sparse. Fortunately the first dish came quickly. Unfortunately, the second course took quite some time. What was especially unfortunate, my wife got her dish almost 15 minutes before me. She was ready when I had yet to start. We ended up being there for over 2.5 hours. We also noticed that the staff paid little attention to the guests. Even though it was quiet, they were often on their phones. When we left we were no longer greeted friendly. There are more points to mention, such as the loud music and the lack of atmosphere, but I don't feel like turning this experience into a book. In short: we won't be coming back here. The food was not special: bland in taste, uneven portions, long waiting times and little customer focus. Apart from the friendly welcome, the service was disappointing. Fortunately, there are plenty of other, much nicer restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely skip this from now on.

Reserved for 5, place by the door in the cold. Waitress grumpy remark to customers in general. Too few staff. Wasn't asked if we wanted dessert. Clearing the table after serving an extra drink was also not an option. Got some nice ice cream at Jumbo and ate it at home. Different experience than a year ago. Then the service was great. Now the customer is not central while you leave €175 behind. That wasn't worth it while I wanted my birthday daughter to enjoy a relaxing dinner. Felt more like a snack bar while the quality of the food was really good.

Have eaten here regularly, always good. Yesterday I went here again with my boyfriend. You have to wait 20 minutes before you get your drink. The portions of the food have shrunk a lot, while the prices have gone up. Vegetable was a carrot with a poor piece of bell pepper. The dame blanche was ridiculously expensive for what you got. The waiter was complaining about colleagues. We only got mayonnaise when the food was almost gone (asked three different people from the waiters). We asked for the seasonal dessert, which was not there. You won't see us again. Things have gone downhill here, too bad!

We had a 4-course menu here with the family via Social Deal. In itself it is quite a nice price, but you will be treated accordingly. The menus were dirty and no longer looked good due to overuse. The waitress also couldn't help but smile when she came to take the drinks and food. This was also the last time she asked if anyone wanted something to drink. Had to wait almost an hour between each dish, so we sat for more than 3 hours. That was really too long. The food was okay but not fantastic. So if you have arranged to meet someone to watch a movie in the cinema that you didn't want to see, it's best to eat here, or at least you'll miss the movie.

Gezellig samen eten bij De Beren... helaas... het voorgerecht werd in 3 fases gebracht en na een opmerking over het hoofdgerecht (eerst kregen we een halve portie op 1 van de borden en daarna werd het gerecht opnieuw gebracht met een verkeerde saus) werd onze tafel compleet genegeerd met de zeer professionele opmerking door de serveerster "hier heb ik echt geen zin in". Dus helaas geen dessert en kopje koffie meer. Bij het betalen werd duidelijk dat er over onze tafel gekletst was. Jammer, maar wij hebben erg gelachen om deze belachelijke en kinderachtige vertoning. Geen De Beren meer voor ons!

(We still had to go to a sports competition) We arrived at 5 p.m. and our order for the main course was taken at 5:30 p.m. Unfortunately, after asking twice, we didn't get our food until 6:30 PM. Visited the bears for the first time. Clearly indicated that we had 90 minutes. When we came in around 5:00 PM there was no one there. The waiter said we could easily get a starter + main course. Only opted for a main course and after several reminders between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM to the waiter that time was running out, we received our food just after 6:30 PM. Which made us late for our next appointment. No apologies or sympathy from the staff. The food, on the other hand, was excellent value for money, but not worth a special trip. Hier gisteravond gegeten met Kruidvat vouchers. Als we om half zeven naar binnen gaan is de zaak half vol. Ik snap nu waarom. We hebben een driegangenmenu. Vooraf bestellen we de drankjes. Een dubbele Affligem en een pilsje. Ongevraagd krijg ik een groot glas pils dat maar voor tweederde is gevuld. Als ik vraag of de ober er al stiekem van gedronken heeft, krijg ik een vaag verhaal over drukte etc. Ik vertel dat ik al 2 biertjes op heb en een kleintje heb besteld. Dit wordt even later gebracht en tot mijn grote verbazing is dat ook slecht getapr en half vol. Onze buurtjes kijken net als wij verbaasd naar deze schrale tapprestatie. De voorgerechten waren matig. Een schaaltje pikante garnalen en fantasieloze carpaccio. Mijn partner koos een saté met frites als hoofdgerecht en ik de zalm. De frites zijn prima. Nog lekker heet als ze op tafel komen. De saté is ok, mijn zalm droog en kaal. Aan een dame blanche als toet kun je weinig verpesten dus die is ok. De apple crumble blijkt lastiger en is melig. Bij het afrekenen blijkt toch het grote pilsje op de bon te staan wat weer gedoe geeft. Samengevat: als ik in een restaurant iets krijg wat ik zelf thuis op een doordeweekse dag net zo goed of beter kan klaarmaken, vind in dat tegenvallen. Dat is hier dus het geval. Matig eten en matige bediening. Tot slot: Als in naaf het toilet loop zie ik de potten appelmoes van de nabij gelegen Jumbo op de counter staan. Zou ik nooit doen. Als de bedoeling van een actie het werven van nieuwe klanten is, zou ik het anders aanpakken.

Voorafgaand aan een filmavondje hebben we hier gereserveerd. Als VG rib fingers en gamba’s. Rib fingers waren 4 spare rib botjes met een klein beetje vlees eraan. Denk dat ze zelf niet weten wat rib fingers inhoud. Gamba’s waren klein (iets te lang gebakken) maar ok. Spicy crispy chicken als HG was een goeie portie maar ook wel echt aan de pikante kant. Kipsaté zonder atjar etc. Op een koud bord uitgeserveerd. Frietjes waren al koud voordat ik begonnen was. Appel crumble en witte choco crème brulee als NG. Appel crumble was lekker maar de brulee mistte de chocolade helaas. Kwa eten zeker niet aan te raden. Service misschien ook wel. Borden bleven lang op tafel staan en bijna te laat voor de film, terwijl dat gecommuniceerd was.

Ordered a beer that ended up half full on the table. I think that is a very expensive beer at 6 euros. Asked if they wanted to fill the glass normally. Well fine. We take a sip. No carbon dioxide, very strange taste. So I told a waiter that the beer tasted funny. She would inquire immediately. Then waited 20 minutes. Heard nothing more and approached someone else with the same story. He took the beers with him and we would get a new one. Well resolved. zoals in Goes, waar alles altijd top geregeld is: goede bediening, heerlijk eten, niks op aan te merken. Maar Tilburg? Een regelrechte ramp. Twee dagen van tevoren gereserveerd en bij aankomst werden we op een barkruk geparkeerd. Toen ik aangaf dat ik rugklachten had en om een normale stoel vroeg, werd er botweg gezegd dat dit niet mogelijk was. Als klap op de vuurpijl moesten we ook nog aan een tafel zitten met wildvreemden. Ongemakkelijk is zacht uitgedrukt. De jongeman van de bediening probeerde het op te lossen, maar zijn collega met haar chagrijnige blik kapte hem direct af met een harde “nee.” En dan het eten… Onze gerechten werden eerst doodleuk aan de andere tafelgenoten gegeven. Die begonnen erover te discussiëren, waarna wij eindelijk ons eten kregen. Eén gerecht, bitterballen met kaas, bleek compleet leeg van binnen. De rest was smakeloos en totaal niet wat we gewend zijn. Kortom: chaotisch, ongeïnteresseerde bediening en slecht eten. Dit was de eerste en meteen ook de laatste keer dat we naar De Beren in Tilburg zijn gegaan. Wat een aanfluiting!

Made a reservation two days in advance and upon arrival we were parked on a bar stool. When I indicated that I had back problems and asked for a normal chair, I was bluntly told that this was not possible. To top it all off, we also had to sit at a table with complete strangers. Uncomfortable is putting it mildly. The young man at the counter tried to solve it, but his colleague with her grumpy look immediately cut him off with a hard “no.” And then the food... Our dishes were first casually given to the other table companions. They started discussing it, after which we finally got our food. One dish, bitterballen with cheese, turned out to be completely empty inside. The rest was tasteless and not at all what we are used to. In short: chaotic, disinterested service and bad food. This was the first and also the last time we went to De Beren in Tilburg. What a mockery!

What stands out here and is really starting to become very annoying is that you have to wait a very long time until an order is taken. I have had a number of times where I have to pull someone's jacket after 30 minutes to ask if we can please order something to drink. As if you are not interesting enough as a customer if you just want a drink. Once seemed like a coincidence, but this has happened at least 5 times now, so it really is the service of the Beren. Too bad that in Tilburg you don't have the option to have a drink somewhere else in advance, so you are forced to go back to the Beren. Do something about your service!

We received a super friendly welcome, that was the only positive. The place was packed and something was delivered twice that was for another table. When this was indicated, the girl reacted stressed and unfriendly. De beren Tilburg; film arrangement , gereserveerd om 18.45 uur, aansluitend film 21.10 uur. Dus ruim 2 uur voor 3 - gangen menu, toch? Dat zou je denken, Nou nee, chagrijnige serveerster die zegt dat dit te kort is . Dus wij stemmen in met voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht inclusief de voucher. Lang wachten op hoofdgerecht ! Nu snappen we wat ze bedoelen met minimaal 2 uren want de traagheid van de keuken maakt het er naar dat je de film niet haalt! Hoofdgerecht is echt om te janken. Bij het afrekenen wordt ons dus verteld dat wij geen recht hebben op de voucher omdat we maar een 2-gangen menu hadden. Wij zijn verbaasd, wat nu weer? Geen discussie met die serveerster mogelijk, ze loopt te blèren als een kip zonder kop. Dus wij betalen 72.50 euro voor soep en hoofdgerecht zonder voucher. Als we thuis zijn worden we eigenlijk steeds bozer. Onze avond verpest. We zijn nog terug gereden om verhaal te halen bij diezelfde serveerster maar deze was niets veranderd in haar mening. Heeft echt een cursus klantvriendelijkheid nodig! Verder klopt de belofte van het arrangement niet zoals het wordt beschreven op de site. Je krijgt een voucher voor de film van 10 euro en dat is dus niet toereikend voor een filmavond. Je moet dan bij de kassa nog 4 euro bij betalen. Conclusie ; misleidende reclame, teleurstellend eten en slechte bejegening door personeel. Nooit meer De Beren voor ons!

We were a group of 7 people and we waited at least 50 minutes for our food and after those 50 minutes there were only 4 dishes on the table and the other 3 dishes only arrived 15 minutes later, so it was not pleasant. In between, an employee dropped a tray of drinks and didn't say sorry, you may not believe it, but 5 minutes later the same man dropped another glass. When we were eating, none of us liked it, in fact it was inedible, I just left my food, the fries were not cooked, the snitzel was lukewarm and tough and the bitterballen were also cold. I would not recommend this restaurant. We were with a large group, so we went to eat here. You can sit here with a large group and there is plenty of space. The service was quite friendly, but certainly not fast. A lot of things went wrong when taking orders and serving at the same time. We also had to wait a very long time for service to arrive, but it was also quite full and of course there were a lot of people. When ordering, you are asked if you would like sweet potato fries, but you then receive far too many containers of sweet potato fries and pay for them per person. We previously thought that this would be 1/2 container(s) per table. Too bad there was now a lot of waste and we also had to pay 2 euros per person. Communication could be much better in this regard. In summary very chaotic and disappointing, the food is substandard for the price. Staff is inexperienced, they were always at the wrong table with the food/drinks. After a long wait you get something you didn't order, or they forgot something. We have 2 hours for the main course! have to wait. Dessert was not cooked, but looked more like a container with dough and sugar (Apple crumble). You simply cannot expect people to pay money for food that is barely better than what you get at a snack bar. The only plus point is that the staff is friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

Had dinner here with a group yesterday. And it was actually nothing. The servers were not in a good mood, and half of them had no experience. Taking orders, for example, took 20 minutes. A container with ice cream, fruit, juice and whipped cream. Everything but the whipped cream came out of the freezer, so the ice cream, juice and fruit were frozen together! The only thing that was better than last time is that we were ready on time for the movie, but if there are only 15 people in the restaurant, I understand that too... Gisteravond heerlijk gegeten bij de beren samen met mijn gezin. Personeel is top, vriendelijk en altijd in om net dat extra beetje voor de klant te doen! Ik heb gisteren met lede ogen aangezien hoe studenten omgaan met het personeel . Het personeel stond al 1-0 achter, ze hadden een actie met spareribs eten, maar wat het personeel ook deed ze waren aan het klagen en aan het praten over de bediening vervolgens wel een slechte review schrijven maar waarom? Je had het ook bespreekbaar kunnen maken en het op kunnen lossen… wij komen hier bijna elk weekend en het is altijd goed, ook bij ons is er wel eens iets niet goed, je bespreekt het en het wordt opgelost! Van mij krijgen ze een dikke 9!

Als je lekker wilt tafelen, ga dan vooral niet naar dit restaurant. We zijn "onbeperkt spareribs" gaan eten. Dit was echter niet bepaald onbeperkt te noemen. Na 1.5 uur hebben we de startplank en 1 klein stukje spareribs gekregen. We hebben bij de serveerster gevraagd of we meer konden bestellen per ronde. Dit mocht niet... Ook de lege glazen werden smakeloos genegeerd. Uiteindelijk met honger en dorst weggegaan! Onvriendelijk personeel dat nog nooit van gastvrijheid en service gehoord heeft.

Because of the 40th anniversary, I gave the bears another chance with the unlimited spareribs menu. When we entered, the restaurant was not even half full and the terrace was open with some tables eating. I sat down around 6:30 PM, had bread with something to drink and after about 20 minutes the main course arrived. Spareribs tasted great! After the first round we ordered some drinks and some spare ribs, which didn't arrive until about 8:00 PM. Read waiting 40 minutes for a small piece of sparerib of 150 grams. Immediately ordered another piece, and it arrived at 8:40 PM. In the meantime I asked where it was as the restaurant was almost empty and the staff were chatting/laughing with each other. “It was busy” “The spareribs came in raw and still had to be grilled” Attached is a photo showing that they have been cooked sous-vide, varnished and put in the oven, can be on the table within 5 minutes... Very unfortunate that it took so long, the food was good, but the rest was not.

To start positively, the sandwich was not dirty and we were served quickly. However, the burger was really very poor as you can see in the photo. The burgers on my double cheeseburger were the same size as those on the mini burgers that I tell other people in the restaurant. There was also a very thin slice of cheese on it. What made it tasty was mainly the sauce. When we reported the above to one of the staff members, he indicated that they received a lot of complaints about this, but that nothing was changed and that the tent was not his either. Funny dude. The fries are also under heat lamps and I had a lot of grit in my portion. Luckily I always like the small crispy fries the best, so lucky for me. Unfortunately the reviews are correct. Ordered a 3 course menu. Carpaccio was a bit brown and it smelled terrible. We got our starter. Our children nothing. Asked later. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews in advance and thought we would enjoy some spare ribs. So on Tuesday spare rib day to the Beren. However, the spareribs came, or at least they should have, with a rub after choice. They were so small spare ribs with a dollop of sauce thrown over them. The bubbles of bubble wrap were still visible on the underside of the spareribs. The spare ribs were so tough that even a knife couldn't cut through them. And the spare ribs had more bone than meat and I went home with a stomach reduction and the rest of my group went home hungry. Got up as there were a few friendly waves to the staff but no one came. Immediately paid and left, what a sad intention, never had such bad food. We were also not asked if everything was as expected.
