As always, it was lovely to dine by the IJsselmeer. We had a comfortable time and the food was delicious again.

Great view of the boats. It was very crowded. Nevertheless, a nice spot was prepared for me and my large dog, with the consideration given to ensuring sufficient distance from other dogs. The food (salad) was very, very good.

Beautiful place. Nice people. Pleasant menu that isn't run-of-the-mill. Great beer list. The restaurant is located at the Marina yacht harbor in Enkhuizen, and we hadn't expected this level. Don't expect culinary masterpieces, but I find it impressive when they manage to serve a variety of vegetables. So not just lettuce and fries, but a beautifully presented plate. The desserts are surprising. The view is amazing.

Great restaurant, very good food at very fair prices, and the portion sizes are generous. Plus, you get a direct view of the IJsselmeer, watching the ships go by and enjoying the surrounding nature. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a well-maintained and modern feel. We even managed to get a table right on the water on the terrace at short notice for an afternoon meal. So, try going without a reservation. Highly recommended!

It was busy; the terrace was full. Luckily, a table had just become available. I had a Sangria, a salmon/mackerel salad, and a water. The service was very friendly, and the food was good. We only missed some toast with my salad, but that didn't spoil the fun.

Overall, 3 stars. Service: The team tried their best, but unfortunately, they were very slow and sometimes inattentive. One waiter didn't know the side dishes on the menu, which gave the impression of inadequate preparation. Food: The food was good, and the quality of the ingredients was impressive. (See attached photos.) Atmosphere: In several places, the restaurant appears neglected—especially the windows, which are noticeably dirty. Overall, it gives the impression that the staff has become somewhat complacent and isn't paying close attention anymore. Conclusion: It's a shame, because the potential is there. With more attentive service and a more thorough cleaning, the visit would be much more pleasant.

Had a delicious lunch: avocado sandwich and my dining companion had vegetarian eggs Benedict, accompanied by 2 cappuccinos with an Enkhuyser coffee and a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Beautiful view⛵⛵🛥

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The service is very friendly and they find solutions; they are very attentive and kind. The food is absolutely delicious. The ambiance is unique. It makes the food taste even better. Overall, we are more than satisfied, will definitely come back, and highly recommend this restaurant.

A really nice restaurant right on the Enkhuizen marina. We had a table overlooking the boats entering and leaving the harbor. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was good. We'd gladly come back.

Had a lovely lunch by the water. Tasty food and pleasant service. However, there was a downside that turned into a plus: we asked for tap water and they said yes. In the end, we paid €4 per bottle, so we hadn't expected that. We mentioned it in our review and were called back and offered a refund for the bottles. Very professional! It feels very nice to feel taken seriously. I would add more meringue to the seasoned strawberries, though. Otherwise, very happy with our lunch and the fantastic view.

We arrived at 5:40 PM for a drink and a charcuterie board. The terrace was empty, but we were refused entry, with the excuse that they were short-staffed and that the tables were occupied from 7:00 PM onwards. Surprisingly, they were able to serve us inside, which was quite baffling. Why inside and not outside, and why not ask us to finish our drinks before 7:00 PM to free up the table (1 hour and 20 minutes would have been plenty of time)? Perhaps our limited Dutch 🤔 prevented us from accessing the terrace. In any case, the experience wasn't very pleasant.

We watched the Netherlands vs. Sweden match on Saturday evening. It was heavily advertised beforehand with football on big screens. We had made reservations intending to sit in the front row. Upon arrival, it turned out there wasn't a big screen at all, but three small 40-inch televisions. The BBQ was well organized, but there was a small group who had their phones with them the whole time, watching Sofascore, and started cheering even before a goal had been scored.

What a wonderful experience at Restaurant de Mastenbar! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The service was excellent: attentive, hospitable, and always willing to help or offer advice regarding the menu. The food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I had the tuna melt and the mustard soup myself, and both were incredibly flavorful. The mustard soup was creamy, well-seasoned, and perfect as a starter. The tuna melt was freshly prepared, generously topped, and exactly how you hope a good tuna melt tastes. The cozy atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the tasty food made the visit complete. For anyone in Enkhuizen looking for a nice place to have lunch or dinner, this is highly recommended. I will definitely be back here again!

We came for dinner. We were able to sit on the terrace overlooking the IJsselmeer. The service was attentive, very polite, and prompt; German and English were spoken without any problems. The food was absolutely delicious, the fish was fantastic, and the spare ribs were incredibly tender. The appetizer and dessert were also delicious. They offer soft drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails, including non-alcoholic options. There's parking right outside, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, as are the restrooms.

Had a lovely lunch by the water on a radiant afternoon. Relaxing view, super friendly service that checks regularly (but not too often) if you need anything, and delicious, flavorful food. You can choose a spot in the sun or the shade, and a parasol is easily moved for you. The only minor downside is that people sometimes smoke on the terrace, even though there are no ashtrays. Otherwise, top-notch!

Nice place, beautifully situated by the water. You have a lovely view of all the boats sailing past, even when sitting inside. You can get a parking exit ticket upon departure. We had coffee and cake. Great!

We had lunch with eight people. I chose a small fish salad and it was delicious. My table companions opted for fried eggs and seemed very satisfied, along with bread and salmon salad. It looked delicious. The service was punctual. The location is beautiful on the water and next to the Zuiderzee Museum. The terrace will be lovely in the summer.

A perfect holiday destination for Sail.Enkhuizen. All the beautiful sights pass by, sailing from my favorite patio corner sofa with a delicious snack and drink, plus a great round-trip cruise along the dike.

A cozy location for drinks, lunch, and dinner. It's situated right on the IJsselmeer lake and has a spacious terrace. Definitely worth a visit after a visit to the Zuiderzee Museum, among other things. The staff are also very friendly.

We had a wonderful lunch today at De Mastenbar restaurant. A delicious smoked salmon sandwich that was wonderfully juicy and perfectly smoked. The dish was served with delicious pickles, fennel, and lemon mayonnaise. The service was very welcoming, and the kitchen cooks with love.

Nice restaurant right on the sailboat harbor with a view of the water. The food and service were good. There were three of us and we didn't have a reservation. However, we were offered a table in the restaurant.

The restaurant is located in a very beautiful town. Nearby is a bay with sailing yachts. Various boats sail nearby. Overall, the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is excellent. The staff is attentive. One minor quibble is the poorly washed dishes. Unfortunately, I even heard it from the next table. The atmosphere, restaurant, and food are worthy of 5 stars, the staff 5 stars, but the dirty dishes deserve 3 stars.

Thanks to Angelique and her father, whom we spoke to at the market in Volendam, we got this tip to eat at the Mastenbar in Enkhuizen. And especially the salmon with beetroot appetizer. A bit on the expensive side for what you get. There were no fries with the main course, and we weren't even asked if we wanted them. So we ordered them immediately when the main course arrived. Fries didn't arrive until we'd finished everything.

The food was absolutely delicious! The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. The wine was perfect. We took our boys aged 10 and 7; they were made to feel very welcome. The children's menu was a little limited, so they shared an adult's fish, which they loved. Super restaurant.

Wie immer sehr gemütlich, der Service äußerst freundlich - man sitzt ja hier auch wirklich einfach schön. Das Essen war gut, nur die Bouillabaisse war seltsam - eigentlich waren das gegrillte Garnelen … Und die (zwei) Slinptongen waren recht klein, aber das ist ja inzwischen leider oft so. Der Verdejo übrigens sehr süffig!!

A nice location on the waterfront, which makes up for a lot. The restaurant provides an exit ticket. The lunch food was fine, but not particularly special. The satay sauce on the satay skewer was quite sweet; it could have used a bit more bite. The Korean burger was tasty, but not photogenic. It would have been nice to have a bit more Instagrammable.

Really enjoyed it. We ate with a group of seven people and everyone found it very nice and tasty. They serve honest and tasty dishes, certainly enough for the average person. I found the vegetarian dishes surprisingly inventive and very tasty. A full-fledged counterpart to the meat/fish dishes. You often come across that differently. The service is very smooth, attentive, friendly and capable. Only at the end of the evening you noticed that the fire went out a bit. Then it took a while before the dessert was cleared away and we had to ask for another drink. The nice thing is that that was also the only point on the entire evening! The atmosphere is somewhat magical. At the front you come from an inhabited world with traffic, crowds, houses and everything that belongs to a town. When you walk through the restaurant and sit down on the terrace, you are immediately in another world, with a view of the water, animals, reed beds and boats that calmly pass by. Wonderful. Fantastische lunchervaring bij De Mastenbar! Wij hebben met een groep van 34 personen geluncht bij De Mastenbar en het was in één woord geweldig. De broodjes waren heerlijk en vers, en de soep viel bij iedereen goed in de smaak. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Wat vooral opviel was de uitstekende bediening: vriendelijk, attent en goed georganiseerd, ook met zo’n grote groep. We voelden ons echt welkom. Een dikke aanrader voor zowel kleine als grote gezelschappen. Complimenten aan het hele team!

We had a great time sitting by the water, where we received very good and personal service. The atmosphere is really nice and they have a nice indoor terrace, but also a very cozy outdoor terrace. The food is also very tasty and the drinks are also top quality. A lot of choice in beer, just like the wine. Per dish they have recommended drinks that stimulate the flavors of the dish. Super fun!

If it gets too busy they can't handle it. I ate soup half lukewarm bread asked for it. Jong table boys, not an issue, but the waitresses where more interested in their phones and intsta then the tables making it the issue of the boys whom where very willing but due to inexperience could not really help or fill the gap, one young lady waiting tables that was not as "petite" as the rest was doing her very best together with the boys. Food was great! Table staff aside from the boys and the one young lady definitely need some retraining as it made my girlfriends surprise date a lot less fun...

With a group here in a weekend Friday and Saturday afternoon drinks and dinner. On Saturday a buffet. Sunday morning coffee/tea with apple pie. Beautiful place on the water, both inside and outside. Last week we enjoyed a new menu. And the chef did a good job. A recommendation is without a doubt the cold fruit de mer. What a delight! That is why we chose this restaurant tonight. And what was also clear after the last time, the staff has improved, and the chef also showed quality. The salmon with beetroot starter, followed by the sole were perfect. And then not to forget, a tiramisu that I have never had so tasty before. In short, I am obliged to revise my last review. The mastenbar is back in my favorites. This chef has understood 😉👍🏻

Dit was de eerste keer voor ons ( 3 pers) bij dit restaurant. Het ontvangst was evenals de bediening zeer vriendelijk.. Het eten viel behoorlijk tegen.. De kip saté was bereid met te veel ketjap ..de saté saus was veel te donker..waardoor de smaak van ketjap overheersend was.. De broodpudding was een aanfluiting.. Droog ..met ananas uit blik gegarneerd .. Totaal geen smaakvolle combinatie. De keuken is simpel.. De prijzen zijn te scherp voor de kwaliteit die je mag verwachten en gepresenteerd krijgt. Voor ons geen herhaling in dit restaurant…
