We had a delicious meal; we were traveling for 1 hour and 30 minutes and didn't regret it for a moment. The food was very tasty, the tomato soup perfect, the babi pangang superb!! The T-PAN beef was also very tasty; everything was super fresh and tender. As soon as we feel like it again, we will go back. The chef also took the time to chat with us, not just about the food, but also about China and the Netherlands, and of course, we were able to chat a bit about our private lives. The team is also great, and the service and care are very professional. Thank you very much.

We had a delicious meal! It had been on our list for a while after seeing Chef Liang's enthusiastic TikToks. For us, it's just under a two-hour journey each way, but we are already looking forward to going back. It is impossible to describe in words how wonderful it is to be able to share dishes without a care in the world, without having to compromise on taste! Being able to eat such delicious gluten-free food without any worries :) A super sweet and passionate chef who added even more plus points to our visit!

As a surprise for our three-year anniversary, my boyfriend took me out for dinner at De Orchidee. I knew the restaurant from the fun videos on TikTok and really wanted to eat there, even though it’s an hour’s drive for us. The food was delicious. We opted for the shared dining concept, which allowed us to try multiple dishes. They were all delectable, but if I had to recommend one, I would definitely try the Peking duck ;) This was the best I have ever tasted. Additionally, the service was welcoming and attentive. As the icing on the cake, Chef Liang came to personally congratulate us with a small sparkler and a little gift. She even offered to let us take a picture with her. Of course, we did. Really super sweet! To conclude this review, I would like to mention that De Orchidee completely lives up to its "TikTok hype" with its delicious food. Good marketing built on a rock-solid foundation of customer friendliness and culinary skills! We had a wonderful evening and recommend this to everyone!

My girlfriend is a big fan of Chef Liang (the chef) and her TikTok videos. That is why I wanted to take her to De Orchidee as a surprise for our anniversary. I had called beforehand to ask if it was possible for Chef Liang to come and congratulate us, and this was immediately received as a fun idea. So I had arranged a nice surprise for my girlfriend, but De Orchidee did the same for us. Chef Liang came to congratulate us with a fireworks fountain and a gift. I hadn't asked for it, and it came entirely from them. We also took a nice photo with Chef Liang. The rest of the staff certainly shouldn't be forgotten either. They are all lovely people who make dining out a pleasant experience. The food, which is also quite important for a restaurant, was fantastic. We had a delicious meal, and I especially recommend the Peking duck (perhaps the best I have eaten so far). The price might be a bit on the higher side (~ €131 for 2 people), but you certainly get your money's worth with very tasty food and large portions. So definitely recommended. And thanks to De Orchidee for how you handled this! My girlfriend was totally happy :)

What a fantastic restaurant!! We had a truly delicious meal and great service. You can opt for shared dining here, allowing you to sample a wide variety of dishes. I especially recommend the Peking duck and the Tipan beef tenderloin. We will definitely be back! After the main course, Chef Liang stopped by for a chat, and we even got our picture taken when we paid. The conclusion? Go eat here!

We went to De Orchidee specifically because almost 100% of the menu is gluten-free! I have Celiac disease myself, and it was so incredibly nice to just be able to order whatever I want! The food is truly delicious, and Chef Liang and the rest of the staff are super friendly! Chef Liang even came over to chat with us, and we were able to take a picture too! I definitely recommend this place! A fantastic concept and delicious food!

After our week at Kempervennen, we made a quick stop to eat at Mrs. Liang's. I often come across her on Facebook while scrolling and really wanted to come and eat there. The food certainly didn't disappoint; it was delicious. It's a small, cozy restaurant with friendly staff, and Chef Liang even personally came to everyone's table to have a chat and took the time to have a nice conversation. If you are ever in the area, it is definitely worth stopping by for a bite to eat!

We really wanted to eat at the restaurant of the famous chef Liang on Friday evening, tried to make a reservation, but unfortunately it was full... the next day we did manage to get a table, so off to Eindhoven on Saturday. The restaurant is located in a neighborhood shopping center; it is small and cozy, with 13 tables for 2 that are moved around. Now we understand why it fills up quickly. We received a very friendly welcome and a nice explanation of the menu upon being seated. Very thoughtfully, we were asked if there were any allergies. (Our daughter is lactose intolerant) The four of us did shared dining, so we could choose and taste 8 different dishes. What a feast!! As much nasi/bami/rice is served as needed and desired. We also had dessert, including the famous spekkoek, which was also very festive. After dinner, Chef Liang came out of the kitchen to take a photo with us; it was very nice and enjoyable. Definitely recommended!

Nice experience at De Orchidee in Eindhoven, with a few clear caveats. You can really tell that the staff works incredibly hard. For 24 seats, there were only 2 people serving, so service took a long time, but that was clearly not due to their efforts. On the contrary: everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kept working hard. The Chinese tomato soup was tasty and had nice, solid pieces of chicken, although I found €8 for a small bowl to be on the high side. The cocktails were fine, but not particularly special for €12. The shared dining concept is good to know: you order a minimum of 4 main courses. For tables of 2, dishes can be halved; otherwise, a full dish counts as 2. What we ate: - Korean fried chicken: very tasty, and the spicy marinade is really quite spicy. However, only 4 small pieces for almost €9. - Szechuan beef tenderloin: unusual sauce, very spicy. Personally, not a good match for me. - Garlic prawns: just fine, but could have been stronger in garlic. - Tipan char siew: without a doubt the best char siew I have ever eaten. Delicious meat and a top-notch sauce. - Chiew Yiem mix: very unique in a good way, very tasty and highly recommended. The desserts were also tasty, but small and pricey. The biggest downside was the wait: the main course didn't arrive until 1 hour and 38 minutes after we had sat down. What made the evening extra fun, however, was the atmosphere at the end. There was a friendly chat at the cash register. When we mentioned that we had come via TikTok, they immediately asked if we wanted to take a picture, haha. Of course we did. We were also able to chat with Chef Liang for a bit, which made the visit extra personal. All in all: good food, especially a few real standouts, incredibly friendly staff, and a nice ending. Do keep in mind the small portions, steep prices, and long wait times.

I find your response regarding blackmail very simplistic, as well as the comments about 'eating in the city' and 'all you can eat'. I did not finish the entire side dishes (mihoen); it is called a SIDE DISH for a reason! Which, by the way, you pay 2.50 pp for, but you do have to choose. As you can read, I mentioned that the main course was tasty but very small portions. Your shared dining consists of a choice of 4 dishes; this is 4 pp, but it was 4 for 2 people. And my daughter called you regarding the dessert, the lava cake, which I did not finish because it tasted hard and burnt, but my husband's was perfect, yet you put both on the bill. You promised to refund her this amount of 9.95. A review does not always have to be positive, but criticism is a difficult subject for you, as evidenced by your response. I view it as a point that could have been discussed normally, but I was very shocked by the price. For that amount, I’d rather go to 1910 Fine Dining in the city. Or Time for Dinner, where you’re stuffed after 6 small dishes. I expected more for that price. The shared dining food was tasty but very little, especially if there are just the two of you. Also, the concept is unclear; several people saw photos on the staff's tablet first. 4 small portions with meat and shrimp, 2 small bowls of rice noodles, 1 small bowl of tomato soup, and 4 ebi shrimp. 1 small, good lava cake, soft and moist, 1 uneaten one that was hard and tasted burnt. 2 non-alcoholic beers, 1 iced tea. 117.00 euros. And still hungry. You won't see us back.

Last night (Sunday, March 22), we finally went to eat at De Orchidee, after following them on TikTok for quite some time. We were already excited, but honestly… it was even better than expected. There were seven of us, and we ordered a bit of everything. The dishes are served in beautiful little pans, allowing you to taste each other's food. That immediately makes it very cozy and relaxed. The atmosphere is just right: not big, but cozy and warm. You really feel welcome there. What made it extra special for us was the interaction with the chef; she simply took the time to chat. Not just about the food, but also about how we ended up there. That makes it just that little bit more personal. All in all, we simply had a wonderful evening with really delicious food and a great atmosphere. This is the kind of place you will happily return to. Highly recommended!

Thanks to the fun Instagram reels with Chef Liang, this restaurant made it onto our list, especially when we heard her say that she doesn't mind picky eaters. It was quite a long way from Groningen, so we combined it with a weekend in the Veluwe and drove for over an hour from there. It was worth it! These two vegans who hate mushrooms really had a delicious meal. The Chinese tomato soup, vegan rendang croquettes, and tofu babi pangang were fantastic. The Szechuan wok dish was good too, but next time we'll order it a bit less spicy! 🌶️ Relatively small restaurant, so not the cheapest either.

We came here after seeing Chef Liang's energetic TikTok. We were thrilled to see that she's the same in real life. Someone with pure passion for her work. Her two male colleagues were very friendly. The atmosphere is quite nice, the interior is well designed and the staff are kind. However, when I ordered my dish I found the rice to be undercooked and still brittle. The curry was far, far too sweet for any thai dish and overall, for the price point, I found the flavour to be severely lacking due to the overbearing sweetness.

Very nice people, but this really shouldn't be called Thai red curry. It was a lot of sweet and sour (more sour than sweet) with chicken breast pieces and huge chunks of bell pepper and onion, nothing more. Probably something from Chinese cuisine, but nothing like Thai food. I only read good reviews about Chinese food, so I'll stick to that, otherwise it's a waste of money!

Just had dinner at the Orchidee... Man, oh man, it was delicious! Korean chicken was amazing, the foe yong hai was incredible, and the pork belly was also fantastic. And don't even get me started on the service... Chef Liang personally came out to ask how we liked the food and if everything was good... What chefs do that anymore? Truly incredible! I made a reservation at De Orchid restaurant for my birthday. We opted for the shared dining concept and were all given delicious dishes to share. One of our group has a gluten allergy, and this was meticulously taken into account. In addition, almost the entire menu was gluten-free, allowing this person to enjoy everything as well. The desserts were definitely worth it! Finally, I was surprised by Chef Liang himself and even received a small surprise. It was busy in the restaurant and at the takeout, so everything took a little longer. All in all, I was very pleasantly surprised!
