Very nice people, but this really shouldn't be called Thai red curry. It was a lot of sweet and sour (more sour than sweet) with chicken breast pieces and huge chunks of bell pepper and onion, nothing more. Probably something from Chinese cuisine, but nothing like Thai food. I only read good reviews about Chinese food, so I'll stick to that, otherwise it's a waste of money!

Just had dinner at the Orchidee... Man, oh man, it was delicious! Korean chicken was amazing, the foe yong hai was incredible, and the pork belly was also fantastic. And don't even get me started on the service... Chef Liang personally came out to ask how we liked the food and if everything was good... What chefs do that anymore? Truly incredible! Highly recommended!

Only got takeout. Finally, a Chinese restaurant with gluten-free food, and it tastes delicious! Friendly owners. I immediately took it home for several more meals.

I made a reservation at De Orchid restaurant for my birthday. We opted for the shared dining concept and were all given delicious dishes to share. One of our group has a gluten allergy, and this was meticulously taken into account. In addition, almost the entire menu was gluten-free, allowing this person to enjoy everything as well. The desserts were definitely worth it! Finally, I was surprised by Chef Liang himself and even received a small surprise. It was busy in the restaurant and at the takeout, so everything took a little longer. All in all, I was very pleasantly surprised!

Had a delicious lunch. My husband has celiac disease and therefore has to eat gluten-free. We found this place thanks to the reviews. It's special for him to be able to order almost anything on the menu, especially at a Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended, especially with allergies!

Great experience! We arrived early in the afternoon, the food was good, and the atmosphere was excellent. Our children, ages 2 and 5, loved it too. The tenderloin with cashew and Szechuan chicken were perfect.

Went to De Orchidee in Vaartbroek and honestly… it was fine. The food was okay, nothing wrong with it, and they do have plenty of gluten-free options which is nice. But the prices? Let’s just say my wallet wasn’t as happy as my stomach. Decent meal, but not worth the price tag.

Wow, wow, wow!! Eating at Restaurant de Orchidee is a complete (taste) experience! Top-notch service and top-notch food. For someone who eats gluten-free (and also dairy-free and egg-free), this is a true paradise. So much choice, and incredibly delicious too! The shared dining is great, allowing you to try a variety of dishes. With so many delicious dishes on the menu, it's hard to choose ;). And the birthday boy was also given a special treat! 5 stars for Chef Liang and everyone who works there. Truly fantastic!! We will definitely be back.

I don't understand the many positive reviews, but that might be due to my taste. Everything was incredibly salty and really subpar in terms of flavor. I'm guessing the vegetables were simmering in a pan all day. Now, I'm used to things not always looking exactly like the picture. But this wasn't even close. One extra star because everything was delivered hot and on time. There are better options in Eindhoven for €28 (for one person). Edit: In response to De Orchidee. I'm not even going to argue with a restaurant in person anymore; you'll never win anyway. I definitely don't need to eat in the restaurant after trying this takeout. They should have simply delivered better quality. That starts, for example, with the question of why you serve vegetarian noodles with only leek in them with a meat dish...

After ordering takeout once, I ate in the restaurant. The food is perfect, and the chef is absolutely amazing. I've never had such delicious Asian food. However, I found the price difference between takeout and dining in far too high. We paid over 70 euros for two. We had four small main courses (shared dining) in total, and each had a drink. Later, I saw that you can book online with a 30% discount, so it would have been 50 euros, which would have been in line with the price. It's a shame you can't really sit down in a restaurant anymore in the Netherlands. So, next time we'll order takeout again; for 70 euros, we'll have more than enough for our entire family of five, and we'll still have some left over for the next day. But we'll definitely be back!

It's almost an hour and a half's drive, but it's more than worth it! I've been obligated to eat gluten-free for 15 years, and I've tried most of the standard restaurants in the area. A gluten-free Instagram account recommended this restaurant, and today was the day. We had a truly delicious meal; even my picky daughter (who can eat gluten) said it was one of the best times we've had eating out. My husband, who can't have dairy, was also pleasantly surprised by the delicious dishes. While we were eating, we were already planning who we'd take here next time. It might be a good idea to update the website. If you claim to be wheelchair-friendly, you have to act accordingly. What a contemptuous attitude and communication style you have towards people with disabilities. A friendly reminder that this could be considered quite sad in 2025.

The food was decent and the service acceptable, although the waiting time was noticeably long. That said, I found the pricing to be significantly inflated considering the portion size and the overall flavor, which was fairly average and unremarkable. Paying €29 for a Thai red curry with shrimp felt excessive, especially when there are many comparable options in Eindhoven offering better value for money. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling quite disappointed.

We've seen the TikTok video a few times and I decided to go there with the three of us to eat. To be sure, we make a reservation. It's a good hour's drive and when I get there, I first go to the toilet, where I'm immediately stopped by the staff, as if I'm a 68-year-old criminal. The only thing that was good is the wonton soup. The rest are very small portions and the price is not in proportion. Way too expensive €€€€€€€ . There are much better and cheaper restaurants in Eindhoven.

What a great place. We had a delicious meal there yesterday and celebrated our daughter's birthday. Both daughters eat gluten-free (celiac disease) and it was truly a paradise for the girls. Indeed, 95% of the menu is gluten-free and that starts with the bowl of prawn crackers that is offered upon arrival. The space is small (22 seats) but atmospheric and also the service and everything was super friendly. We ended the evening with a social moment (tiktok) and party fireworks. We will be back!

My girlfriend was also taken into consideration, whom I had communicated with the reservation and said that she would have her birthday that day. She was surprised with a small gift, and we were photographed together. Hygiene in the toilet was very good. Reservations in advance are certainly required. You will receive a message in advance whether you are definitely coming, ideally to avoid empty tables in the event of a no-show.

Delicious dinner tonight! We had had food delivered to our home before and we were very pleased with it. We chose to go to the restaurant today. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was simply amazing – fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned. We used shared dining which offers the opportunity to try different dishes. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very pleasant. cozy, stylish and relaxed. We have already tried many (Asian) restaurants, but this one really ranks among the top! We will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

It is a very small, but nice/cozy restaurant. We were greeted in a friendly manner, were helped quickly, and the food is a paradise for someone who has to eat gluten-free. I have celiac disease and have been able to eat gyoza and fried banana again for a long time. And it tasted just like the 'regular' gyoza and fried banana. You notice that they are very aware of different allergies here. And that is a nice feeling. Definitely worth repeating for me.

My girlfriend dragged us from Hoorn North Holland to the Orchidee during a Valentine's weekend. She has Celiac disease and had never eaten Chinese before. So I have no idea how fantastic mini spring rolls and Peking duck are. Well. Guess what? From now on, I can prepare for a 2-hour drive to Eindhoven every weekend because eating at the Orchidee is really enjoyable. Service also great; friendly and thoughtful. We gingen hier speciaal heen ivm het glutenvrije aanbod. Het restaurant is klein, er waren 7 tafels en het voorste gedeelte is voor afhaal. We moesten lang wachten totdat de bestelling werd opgenomen. Meerdere gevraagde (eenvoudige) drankjes waren niet meer verkrijgbaar. Bij het bestellen bleek de kaart niet goed uitgelegd, ook werd gezegd dat de kaart verouderd was, veel dingen die wel besteld konden worden stonden niet op de kaart. Het eten was lekker, maar de porties zijn niet al te groot. Toen we uiteindelijk voor 3 personen meer dan 130 euro moesten aftikken was voor ons duidelijk dat we hier niet meer naar toe gaan.
