Restaurant De Oude School in Wijk 03 Ter Aar

Enjoyed a delicious meal with three people in a beautiful atmosphere. Pre-fried squid rings (not greasy, but nice and crunchy), carpaccio and mushrooms with brie. The vegetarian main course: mushroom burger with fries, zucchini filled with vegetables. The meat dish consisted of a tournedos with mushroom sauce. All dishes were richly served with vegetables. All this for a very reasonable price. Recommended!

Had lunch this afternoon at De Oude School in Ter Aar. When we entered the restaurant seemed to be closed, there was a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the restaurant and we could not find any staff. After a few minutes a young nice girl came and helped us. Lunch was tasty but not special. Price-quality not in proportion. The music in the background was nice and the room was completely decorated in the Christmas spirit.

Great restaurant, beautiful surroundings, nice and knowledgeable staff, but the lunch menu is not very special. Prices are okay, so you don't have to pay for the missing details. also not payable. We had a great time, and that's what matters after all.

We arrived late, but were received very kindly. Also delicious, everything tasted great!

Went for lunch last Saturday, beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. Only my husband and I both became very ill after eating here. There was also a dog running loose in the restaurant, which is also not very hygienic.

Had lunch here for the first time yesterday. The food was tasty, although the little one's sandwich was badly burnt on one side. Furthermore, the iced coffee and meat were of good quality.

Nice restaurant with friendly service, tasty dishes and reasonable prices. The only disadvantage is that the glass walls create high temperatures when the sun shines. There is no air conditioning and no windows can be opened. Improvement point!

Surprised! Beautiful dishes by using different ingredients or products. This really makes the dishes more interesting and tastier. Highly recommended. Creme brulee is also recommended.

The food made up for it in that it was really tasty, but the service was not good. We had to indicate whether we could order otherwise we would have to wait another 45 minutes to order and it was not busy. There was also a long wait between the fore and main and when we got them we asked where our garlic fries were and we got them when we were actually done. These are simply missed opportunities, also to sell extra drinks in between. And there were 2 of them walking and 1 was sitting at the bar on the laptop watching the bouncy castles. If that was the owner it would have been nice to walk around and ask and see if everything went well. But despite that, the food was really delicious and all praise goes to the kitchen staff, that really made up for it.

We ate at this restaurant for the first time on March 23. Food was tasty, highly recommended. Just a pity that we had to wait a long time (from 7:10 PM - 9:30 PM) for the food. Starter: the soups were tasty but on the lukewarm side. Dinner: one of us had an incorrect order. Since the food was only presented at 9:00 PM (before we asked that it would take a long time) and we were already hungry, 1 coffee was offered as compensation - because serving it again would take too long for us as we had to wait +/- 40 minutes for our main course. to wait. We didn't see the person who served us again until we paid. Still area for development: when the above happens, bring in the manager, offer a similar option or charge half the price - this ensures customer loyalty and creates a service-oriented atmosphere (you leave with a satisfied feeling).

Ate here for the first time, highly recommended. What a nice restaurant, nice atmosphere, friendly service and very tasty food.

They have great service, everyone is nice here. The food is fantastic. I prefer: Warme beenham.

Have a nice lunch. The restaurant has been nicely renovated. Modern and cozy. So you don't necessarily have to go into town if you want to have a nice meal or drink.

Ate here for the first time. The food was really tasty. Service was calm and not pushy or impatient, which made us have a wonderfully relaxing meal. Even the sandwich beforehand was very tasty. They have a nice menu with many dishes that you don't see in every restaurant, so you can eat something different, but of course you can also order the carpaccio. Chairs were also comfortable. We will definitely come back again!

Top! On Christmas Day we went to the old school. The pleasant atmosphere hits you before you even enter. Christmas music outside, fire pits and atmospheric lighting. Also a nice atmosphere inside; tables at a discreet distance from each other (a big difference with Amsterdam) and good acoustics that allow relaxed conversations. The service is hospitable, fast and punctual; our compliments. Then the menu: We had the 5-course menu, (note: I am a pescatarian) which has a nice variation in tasty dishes. One of the 11 guests found something not to her taste, and without any discussion another choice was immediately served! Class! Two points for further improvement: - position the spoom for the main course - use of cotton napkins.

We had lunch with a group in a cozy/fancy room where we enjoyed various dishes from the menu. Attentive service and atmospheric background music. We will be back, thank you!

What a terrible experience. We went to eat here with our work, but no matter how beautiful the restaurant has become, the food and speed are so bad. Carpaccio almost everyone was frozen, some were fresh. Hamburgers that were still raw will be given a new one that has been burned black. One half has food, others are still waiting, some have been forgotten. The main dish is removed from tables and another table suddenly receives 2 bowls of new fries after having to ask 3 times. Drinks ordered, it takes half an hour until you finally get your drink. The young man who helped us that evening was friendly and remained calm, compliments to this boy!

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. It was my mother's birthday and the table was festively decorated. Good food and, despite the restaurant being completely full, we didn't have to wait too long for our food.

Met 4 pers. heerlijk gegeten op een mooie locatie. Alle genoten gerechten vonden we lekker. Jonge en vriendelijke bediening. Akoestiek prettig. Weer een goed restaurant erbij bij ons in de buurt. Aanrader!

Zeer lekker gegeten, ook hebben we een beetje lang moeten wachten. Maar de wachttijd werd verzoet door 2 glazen Chardonnay van het huis. Een mooie avond en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Ookal zijn de reviews misschien verleidelijk. Je kan het altijd het beste zelf ervaren en beoordelen. Het eten is erg lekker en er is een mooi gevarieerd menu. Voor ieder wat wils, vega, vis, vlees. Alles was smaakvol en het was mooi gepresenteerd op de borden. Hele mooie ruimte / eetzaal en al het personeel is erg beleefd en netjes. Weer eens een keer een frisse nieuwe wind in Ter Aar. We komen snel weer.

Jammer dat we lang moesten wachten en ik vond de kaart minimaal en dat je frites apart moet betalen Jammer wij hadden een andere voorstelling van jaren geleden was het ook nog een beetje aantrekkelijk prijs

Vanaf het moment dat we voet zetten in “De Oude School”, werden we ondergedompeld in een atmosfeer van warme gastvrijheid en historische charme. Het restaurant, genesteld in een prachtig gerestaureerd schoolgebouw, ademt nostalgie uit en combineert dit moeiteloos met moderne elegantie. De bediening was onberispelijk; attent zonder opdringerig te zijn, en met een indrukwekkende kennis van de menukaart. En wat een menukaart! Elk gerecht was een symfonie van smaken, prachtig gepresenteerd en met een duidelijke nadruk op lokale, verse ingrediënten. De hoogtepunten waren zonder twijfel het voorgerecht de carpaccio en het hoofdgerecht zalm op een bedje van seizoensgroenten. De wijnkaart was ook indrukwekkend, met een uitgebreide selectie van zowel lokale als internationale wijnen. Het dessert, een fluweelzachte aardbei Romanoff, was de perfecte afsluiting van een onvergetelijke avond. “De Oude School” is niet alleen een restaurant, het is een ervaring. Een plek waar culinair vakmanschap en hartelijke gastvrijheid hand in hand gaan. We kijken uit naar ons volgende bezoek!

We gingen hier voor de lunch heen, broodje carpaccio was heerlijk, super mals. Patat erbij was ook erg lekker. Vriendelijke medewerkster die netjes het etiquet van het bier en wijn glas naar de gast zette. 1 klein verbeterpuntje, haal pas de borden weg als er uitgegeten is. Nu werden de borden weggehaald (die overigens wel leeg waren) maar we waren nog van de patat aan het eten. Verder zeker een aanrader en voor herhaling vatbaar en we komen graag ook een keer voor diner terug!

Opdringerige service. Bij binnenkomst, voor we zaten al de vraag wat wilt u drinken. Bij bestelling van een glas wijn de vraag of we een fles willen en hetzelfde bij een spa blauw. Overbodige vraag. Bij het uitblijven van de bestelling van een Westmalle dubbel, en de vraag waar dat bleef, komt de jonge dame met 2 flesjes, want het was toch dubbel? Rosbief vooraf was ooit eens mooi rose geweest, maar dat was al even geleden. Bestelde biefstuk (rood) was ronduit taai en zeker niet mals. Desert van Tiramisu Krijgt alleen een lange ijslepel om te eten, maar je hebt echt een mes nodig, anders kom je niet ver. Al met al een tegenvaller maar misschien komt er in dit recent geopende restaurant nog een verbetering.

Ate here yesterday for the first time since it has reopened; GREAT food. Went as a group of 4 we all ate different food and everything was beautiful. Will definitely be back.

27-8-2023 Zijn wij Het Amsterdam Chapter met ruim 50 mensen wezen lunchen.Van te voren alles afgesproken echt alles was super geregeld de lunch was echt geweldig top bediening. Zeer vriendelijke mensen.Voor onze club zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Heerlijke kaart , de steak tartaar en de ribs zijn een aanrader .Goede chardonnay , ook niet onbelangrijk 😋 Wij komen nog eens 😁

Hernieuwd geopend restaurant nadat het gerestyled is. Mooie uitstraling, vriendelijke bediening en smaakvol eten. De uitbater (Lisette) heeft haar roots hier liggen. Er wordt zelfs gefluisterd dat de moeder van Frans Bauer hier ook een goede bekende is.

De oude school is open en dat betekend uiteten in het dorp. Wij hebben hier met z’n 5e gegeten, allemaal verschillende gerechten. Het smaakte goed en er was voldoende keuze op de kaart. Aanrader ribfingers en de steak tartaar. Tip: De glazen mochten beter/sneller bijgevuld worden, maar voor een nieuw team was het zeker niet slecht. Wij komen zeker nog vaker terug! 🤩

Mooi restaurant geworden, ziet er goed uit. Eten en drinken was ook heerlijk en fijne bediening. Voor herhaling vatbaar 👍🏻

Is mooi ingericht. Ziet er sjiek uit. Ik viel voor de kaart. Helaas viel het in het echt iets tegen. Één van ons had de "buikspek" en dat bleken 4 plakjes (niet gare) spek op 2 zoete broodjes te zijn. Viel tegen. Wel heb ik weer iets mogen proeven, wat ik nog nooit op had. Toch vond ik het net niet, zeg maar. Heel jammer, maar ik hoop toch nog een sterug te gaan om mijn ongelijk te krijgen.

Super mooi verbouwd! Goeie kaart en leuke, lieve service! Ze zijn net open en ik gun ‘t ze van harte dat het een hit wordt!

Voor de 2e keer hier geluncht. Heerlijk gegeten en goed betaalbaar. Echt een aanrader.

Verbouwing lijkt op het eerste gezicht prachtig, maar toch is er veel niet af of afgewerkt, wellicht (te) snel open willen voor het seizoen. Lang wachten om te bestellen en bestelling was ook verkeerd, dus weer wachten op het juiste, eten niet bijzonder, vlees rauw (wat niet hoorde) en een beperkte kaart, daarnaast weinig enthousiasme van het personeel. Jammer, had echt gehoopt op een succes, maar ons gezin komt niet meer terug.

Heerlijk gegeten! Leuke nieuwe kaart en veel keuze in dranken.

Uitstekend eten en lekkere gerechten.

Geen topper,prosecco in verkeerd glas, bij gerecht vergeten en lamsrack was taai.

Het eten was niet optimaal weinig keus van vlees en vis ze mogen wel iets meer van de standaart op de kaart zetten nee niet erg tevreden
