It was closed but the kids in the swimming area were enjoyung themselves. I can imagine it woukd vome alive when the cafe is open.

We stopped here during a boat trip. The atmosphere is fantastic, the kind you'll quickly find in the Netherlands. The service was super friendly, and the lunch was excellent.

Nice as a stopover, but don't expect anything special, except for the bill. I'd say go there at least once.

Never again too expensive for such a simple beach bar, satay for 2 with a drink €80 is really too expensive.

Cosy, friendly and relaxed atmosphere in a wooden beach tent with beach theme in a beautifully landscaped beach garden with lawn, sandy beach and swimming water with wooden path through the water feature. Very atmospheric!

Last week we ate at strandzomer, unfortunately the food was very disappointing. We did get a drink to compensate. But a burger like that for 20 euros is not worth the money.

What a beautiful location in the middle of nature. We visited a wedding here. The wedding was the main goal, but the team of Strand Zomer made it an unforgettable day.

Saturday with beautiful weather we ate here. I have been here before for a drink and it was always fine. However, it took a very long time for the food to arrive and when it did arrive it was downright bad. You can better order a hamburger at the snack bar, which is much tastier. Besides, if I order a hamburger in a restaurant, I can assume that it comes with fries and if not, that this is mentioned when ordering. One steak was already cold when it arrived and the other steak was so tough that no one could eat it. Only the children's menu was fine, I understood from the children. A nice place for a drink, but worthless for food.

Nice "beach atmosphere" at this place. Everything looks nice. Friendly staff. I made the mistake of ordering a piece of apple pie. What a dry bite. There was actually no difference in taste between the thick crust and the apple. After three bites I knew for sure I would not eat this one. My advice is to take it off the menu.

Very hospitable tent! We had someone who was disabled, they thought along well and also thought along with the food. Hospitable waitresses and delicious food. A very nice location to sit by the water in good weather. Nice beach tent style.

Strand zomer is een fijne plek om wat te drinken. Wij besloten ons familieweekend met een etentje daar af te sluiten met 6 volwassenen en 3 kleine kinderen. Het was een positieve ervaring op 1 ding na: toen ik halverwege vroeg om een fles leidingwater op tafel te zetten kon of mocht dat niet...We hebben voor 400 euro besteed maar een fles water voor de kinderen kan niet, nadat ze al 2 consumpties hadden gehad??! Echt mensen van de horeca...zo klantonvriendelijk vonden we dit!! Bij het afrekenen hebben we dit gemeld en toen werd er gezegd dat we wél een glaasje water hadden kunnen krijgen.. dit was echter niet meegedeeld. Heel jammer einde van een op zich gezellige avond.

After a few years I returned with high expectations. It looks cozy and well-kept outside. Really nicely done! But then the lunch.... My mother had a fish salad with 3 large chunks of brown bread. When asked if she could have some butter with it, the answer was: "We don't have that." No butter in a restaurant?? I had a brie sandwich with grilled peach. These were 2 thick slices of bread with a tiny, thin slice of dry brie on each and 2 canned peach slices heated in a frying pan. Half the time I ate dry bread because no butter here either. My sister had an 'okay' plate. I actually never do that, but when asked if it tasted good I answered honestly. It was nice that we were offered drinks. In the end, these were on the hefty bill of 70 euros and we just left it.

Had lunch at Strand Zomer on Mother's Day, food was great. Very nice tent on a very nice spot on a beach at the Nieuwkoopseplassen. Very nice with nice weather, easily accessible by bike, by car you have to take into account a 10 minute walk.

Food was good with choice for everyone. There were 2 sick people in the service, but the lady who was there took care of it very well. She remained, outwardly, calm and gave everyone the attention they needed. Hats off! Very nice location and nice to walk there (10-15 minutes) from the parking lot. In short, a nice place to eat and have drinks together!

Difficult to reach by car. No clear parking spaces and you have to walk/cycle a bit to get to the restaurant. A chair was broken. Glad the neighbor saw it. Because I could have seriously hurt myself. Nice location, friendly staff

Nice place on a beach near the Nieuwkoopse Plassen. Very suitable to go with children, it is nice to start a walk at the Meije water tower. You then walk through meadows with sheep and over a jetty between the lakes. The restaurant is only open during the summer months. Recommended.

A beautiful beach bar that works great even in bad weather. We were looking for a restaurant after a long journey and this beach bar was recommended to us. The food, drinks and service was great. I think we'll come back this week. :)

Very nice place on hot summer days! Nice swimming area with a lovely sandy beach (if desired: with a lounger) or a spot on the grass. The service at Strand Summer is friendly, they work quickly and there is a wonderfully accessible menu with something for everyone! Enjoyed this place.

Heerlijke plek. Strand met bedjes en een fijn terras met plaatsen in de schaduw. Bediening vlot en vriendelijk ondanks de hitte. Heerlijke broodjes en soepje genuttigd. Om er te komen wel een stukje wandelen want niet met de auto toegankelijk.

Wat een leuke, gezellige en ongedwongen plek om te lunchen! Al een paar keer geweest, met familie en vrienden. We worden leuk ontvangen en snel voorzien van drankjes. Poke bowls en lunchuurtje en broodje zalm zijn lekker, vrolijke en alerte bediening! Top!

I was there for the first time today with the family. I can only say great, what a beautiful location, great food, super cozy and very good service and what is really recommended is the coffee and especially the espresso. I will definitely come back again.

Nice meal but I am against digital ordering, besides, coke in a small glass half full with ice for 3 euros??? No chance for me. Food was very tasty.

Nice pavilion on the Nieuwkoopse Plassen with natural pool. Reasonable menu with friendly service. Recommended.

Made a reservation with a group of 19 and had to wait 1.5 hours for food. In the end the fish of the day was undercooked. Drinks were brought as we were about to leave.

A very nice spot on our beautiful Nieuwkoopse plassen. We always have a delicious and enjoyable meal at Strand Zomer! Really great!!! We recently had a fun party for friends and family at Strand Zomer. Delicious with the BBQ and tasty salads. Everything was taken care of very well and pleasantly by the owners and their team. Super!!

Wanted to have a drink on a day with summer temperatures. When we arrived there were a lot of empty tables with reservations on them. This meant that the only option was to have a drink on beach chairs outside.

The stove was on when we entered, very cozy, extra cubes were placed on it, the coffee was delicious and the apple pie was served warm with a separate bowl of whipped cream, well done, Thank you!!

What a nice place to sit. Friendly staff. Small menu but enough variety, with good prices. You look out over a piece of water where you can swim, you can also get there by boat. Behind the restaurant there is also a nice large playground/place for the children.

Locatie is top en leuk aangekleed. Daar is goed aandacht aan besteed. Maar als je wil dat klanten tevreden zijn en terugkomen dan moet dat 'n goede reden hebben. Als 2 van de 4 tapbieren op zijn is de inkoop niet ok. Als dan een tapbiertje ook nog 3 vingers schuim heeft en snel dood slaat, dan is dat niet ok. Een lekker glas wijn voor 5,50 mag best goed gevuld zijn. Iig tot bovenkant tekst op glas en niet tot onderkant. Het bittergarnituur van 7 st voor 9,00 moet echt van de kaart of omruilen voor 'n bittergarnituur dat die prijs echt waard is. Dit was flut. Kortom aandacht voor goede consumpties en prijs/kwaliteit moet fors omhoog. Is nu echt onder de maat. We gaan het tzt nog 1x proberen om te kijken of er met reviews iets wordt gedaan.

Good place for outdoor swimming in Nieuwkoop

Relax in beautiful surroundings, the beach restaurant has a friendly atmosphere. Service is friendly. It can be busy here, but on quiet days it is very relaxed here. The menu was not completely up to date this time, there was no eel and salmon was served on a drinks board. No problem if you tell us in advance. We find the layout of the shelf a bit unkempt. Salmon may cut through rolls properly on a curl and not on a dot on the corner. If you mention several croquettes on the menu, don't just serve cheese croquettes. A little dressing over the lettuce mix works wonders.

This is a very beautiful location on the water with a beautiful beach and is also very relaxing

Lovely quiet place for a cup of coffee and a swim when the weather is nice. Unfortunately, blue-green algae has been detected for some time, so that is something to take into account. Nevertheless, you can still enjoy your time here even if you don't go swimming.

Great place for kids to play on the little beach. Long stretches of wooden jetty’s to walk on and jump off of into the water. Also a little docking spot for boats coming in. You can also barbecue on the beach and there are outdoor toilets separate from the restaurant. We enjoyed the large grass areas as well, there is also a playground for the kids and dressing cubicles. We didn’t try the restaurant out this time but will next time. The one downfall is that parking is not available. It’s quite a walk so come prepared with trollies if you have kids and a lot to carry!

Wow! What a cool place. Summer atmosphere, delicious food. Very nice location right on the lakes. Jetty in front of the door.

Fantastic atmosphere. A cozy beach bar where you can sit and enjoy a snack and drink. Make sure you have enough time. Long wait for everything, there is still a lot to be won here. With better service they could have provided us with a few extra drinks and we ultimately skipped dessert. The fish stew is not recommended (I suspect that everything comes from a package, including the vegetables, and is very salty), but the beach burger was very good! For kids only fries and a snack.

Beautiful place, moorings for boats, great! So far the good... Monday afternoon, 3/4 full, it is 28 degrees after all. Waiting time 15 minutes for a drink, an hour for food. We just haven't started. Service looks nice, often there is no one to be seen behind the bar. Hygiene leaves much to be desired, loose hair, wiping sweat on your hands and then not washing again, etc. A downer for us, we won't be coming here again anytime soon

Bij toeval na het kajakken kwamen we hier. Voor de lekkere trek Nacho's pulled chicken kom dan hier! Personeel doet erg hun best. De plek is magisch en binnen waan je je bijna als aan de zee vanwege de inrichting en de sfeer. Deze plek in Natura 2000 gebied met nieuwe eigenaar mag wat mij betreft groeikansen krijgen!

Wir kamen eine halbe Stunde vor der Schließung an und wurden trotzdem noch super nett bedient und konnten sogar noch Essen bestellen! Die Cocktails sind ein Traum und das Ambiente ist sehr schön

Leuke locatie. Zo zie je maar weer dat er een hoop verassingen op diverse plaatsen kunnen zijn. Was er nog nooit geweest, had er niet eens van gehoord. Maar leuke tent

Het eten was erg slecht. Zelf 11 jaar in een snackbar gewerkt en de patat die ik kreeg was gewoon teruggegooid in de frituurpan totdat de binnenkant van de patat hol was. Eigenlijk eet je dan een hap gefrituurd vet. Vispannetje was niet gaar, smaakloos en simpel. Snap er niks van. De borrel is er wel altijd goed. Flammkuchen en nacho’s zijn altijd lekker. Biertjes ook. Jammer dat als er dan maar een gering gerechten op de kaart staan, het dan zo word geserveerd. Zonde van zo een mooie plek.

Leuke plek afgelegen van bewoonde wereld. Auto stuk verder op te parkeren . Heerlijk terras, fijn personeel . Voor diner weinig keus maar een aanrader om lekker neer te ploffen en te relaxen

Gezellige strand setting, vriendelijke personeel en eten was top wat wil je nog meer? De loaded fries waren echt belachelijk lekker, de mini kroketjes ook heerlijk. Prima shared lunch!

Vanmiddag tijdens een fietstripje bij toeval hier beland. Gezellige sfeer. Na een drankje besloten we een borrelhapje te nemen, de "loaded fries". Flinke smakelijk hapje waar we met 2 goed van hebben gegeten.

Blijft een leuke strandtent! Bediening en service moet wel naar een hoger niveau. Patat voor op het strand is wat karig en slap.

Jaren kwam ik hier met veel plezier maar afgelopen zaterdag zakte de moed in mijn schoenen. Madelon die als eerste Strand Zomer startte die was een kok die ging ondernemen, creatief menu, veel lekkere gerechten, erg smaakvol. Helaas nam haar leven een andere wending, eigenaar nummer 2 deed het best goed maar ook die stopte er ook mee, nu is er ondernemer nummer 3 die er een horecagelegenheid begint met weinig ervaring als kok of kennis ontbreekt van koken. Het eten was bar slecht, beiden namen we de duurste gerechten van het diner, er is te kiezen uit 5-6 hoofdgerechten. Het vispannetje was zoutloos, geen andere kruiden en wat normale soepgroentes (wat je kant en klaar koopt in de supermarkt voor je soep) erover met een flinke hoeveelheid (teveel) wittewijnsaus, bedroevend, patat zagen we al bij aankomst dat deze nog extra in de frituur hadden gemoeten, er was geen personeel om het bij te melden, we hadden in eerste instantie geen bestek en geen mayonaise voor bij de patat, eten werd gebracht door een te jonge jongen met nul ervaring of flair...maar daar kan hij niets aan doen! De boneslessribs waren opgewarmd maar ondertussen te droog geworden, wel smaakvol gekruid, te hard voor het mooie. Een aardige dame die vroeg of het naar wens was kon alleen maar zeggen "we doen ons best", en vroeg of we nog wat wilden gebruiken, we hebben het nieuwe toetje uitgeprobeerd en thee en koffie gedronken, beiden stonden later gewoon op de factuur terwijl ze deed voorkomen dat ze ons tegemoet wilden komen. De koffie was trouwens uitstekend! De borrelgerechten die ik voorbij zag komen zagen er ook goed uit... Te hoog geprijsd voor wat je krijgt, noem jezelf niet een uniek restaurant (website) wanneer je je patat nog geeneens goed kan bakken...we hadden best wat langer willen wachten op een goed gemaakt gerecht. Bij afrekenen aangegeven dat het niet erg is dat je niet veel op je menu hebt maar zorg dan wel dat wat je serveert wel 200 % super lekker is en goed gemaakt. Ik hoop dat er snel een goede creatieve kok komt. Ambiance en sfeer is prima, er is duidelijk veel aandacht en geld aan besteed. Voor een kop koffie of thee kom ik zeker er terug. En die flammkuchen ga ik dan ook eens uitproberen.

Strand Zomer is een heerlijke plek, midden in de natuur van Nieuwkoop. Er is recent een nieuwe eigenaar en hij heeft er echt een prachtige plek van gemaakt. Je kan er heerlijk genieten met vrienden, kinderen of gewoon alleen. Vandaag ben ik hier gaan lunchen met een zakelijke klant en dat was ook uitmuntend. De sfeer is chill, een enorme gastvrijheid, het eten is lekker (en normale prijzen) en je uitzicht over het water is niet te evenaren. Je kan in de buurt uitstekend fietsen, zwemmen, varen en aan de kinderen is ook gedacht. Er is een speeltuintje met zand en water. Echt een aanrader!

Heel lekker eten het beste is de patat en goed dat kraal water gratis is. Ik zou zeker vaker komen.
