A terrible experience, the food was undercooked, and nothing was done about it after complaining. Upon returning home, I called the restaurant, but they didn't respond politely. I wouldn't recommend it at this time.

Excellent food and friendly service. It's a shame the two of us were seated in the conservatory with a large and noisy group; it was definitely not a success. We'd already been moved once and felt a bit lost there. So, we cut our (wedding) day party early and ended the evening at home. Such a shame.

Friendly staff and delicious food. Booking online is easy, and changing your reservation is very easy. Free parking and plenty of parking spaces. This restaurant is highly recommended. Spa is served in a glass, not a bottle.

Honestly, I don't understand the good reviews. I tried it again this week, but I find the quality poor. Two soggy sandwiches with a soft croquette, and what was supposed to be an avocado turned out to be a green sludge with a fried egg. The tomato soup was okay. I had to pay 15 euros for it. Definitely the last time for us. Last time, they also had bitterballen, which were just soft and barely cooked. I'd say forget it. The service was good, though.

The welcome was warm, but the waitress who arrived later was much less friendly. The sole was delicious, but it was a shame about the mini salad and the tiny portion of fries for that price. The game stew was served in a pan that came from a children's kitchen set—absolutely so small. The game had just run through it. It was just tomato, onion, and mushrooms. The promised bottle of table water wasn't served either. A one-time visit for us.

Came for lunch today with my son. We both chose warm goat cheese sandwiches. It was truly delicious. The waitresses were lovely and the service was fantastic. It was totally worth the hour and a half drive (from Middelburg). We'll be back soon.

A really nice, pleasant place. Friendly staff too, so definitely a place to visit again. There are two minor drawbacks: after 9 pm on Friday nights, you can barely order anything from the menu, except drinks and ice cream, of course. And they close at 11 pm, so if you're looking for a late-night nightcap, this isn't the place to go. But if you're looking for a good meal and a place to enjoy drinks until 11 pm, absolutely do it!

Everything was great. The location is nice, the food was what you'd expect. The atmosphere was excellent, but the service could have come a little sooner after arrival. That's a mixed experience. No reason for negative comments, just a point to consider.

The food was fine, but the service left much to be desired. It took a long time for the menus to be brought. The food arrived, but no one had cutlery. One person in our group received tea without tea bags, and we had to ask for everything. That was a shame because the food was very tasty. And you can have a small dessert, which was a nice variation.

Bad! The food is expensive and not good. The main course was bavette. They have no idea how to prepare it properly. Tough and tough. I had to spit it all out after two bites. My 7-year-old daughter also had to spit it out when we got home. Then I had to pay 97 euros. Money better spent elsewhere.

I had my birthday lunch here with 17 people. They had cordoned off our seating area so we had some privacy. The service was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was served at the same time and was delicious. Everyone went home feeling great, and we will definitely be back! The restaurant is in a beautiful location and is also very suitable for children who can play outside.

The fried egg sandwich comes in a hot pan on a plank. Not convenient for eating.

Thursday dinner for five. The appetizer, main course, and dessert were all excellent. Excellent service, a good atmosphere, and a cozy setting. Despite all tables being occupied, there was no disturbing noise from others. The menu is extensive, and the prices are reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

A while ago, I had the most delicious fish and chips ever here. Now I'm going to see if it's still the case. And... YES! Maybe even better! They're really keeping up. And on top of that, they have very friendly staff, a fantastic view, and ample parking. (By the way, there's a lot more on the menu that I'd love to try. But yeah, those fish and chips...)

Six of us went out for dinner last night. The food was served quickly, despite it being quite busy. The service was smooth and friendly, the food was delicious, and the price-quality ratio was excellent. I did have to search for the parking spot a bit, as the navigation system apparently wasn't very accurate, which is of course not the restaurant's fault. We'll definitely be back.

There are ample parking spaces. The two handicapped spaces are a bit small compared to the parking lot. The menu offers plenty of choices. The food is excellent, and specific requests are accommodated as much as possible. Desserts are also excellent. In short, we had a wonderful, enjoyable evening. Definitely worth repeating!

After reading all the good reviews, I visited. I made a reservation for a birthday and asked for a window seat. When I arrived, there was a large group, so no window seat. Strange, because we made a reservation a month in advance, and why would a large group go first? The waitress didn't have an answer. It was a dark spot in the restaurant. So, we're done with that. I mentioned this to the waitress, who went to discuss it with the manager. The food arrived, and it wasn't great either. The meat was sour. I mentioned this to her, but there was no response. Finally, after we paid, she asked how the evening had been. I told her it was very disappointing. No apology or solution was offered. Unfortunately. Hopefully, we won't be sick tomorrow.

Nice spot on the Meuse River. This attracts people, and there's less attention to the finishing touches. Long waits to order drinks, dishes are forgotten, and the menu no longer matches what's being served. The food is nothing special. It's very warm inside, and there are lots of flies.

Where to start... I ate here with my girlfriend for our one-year anniversary. I ordered the 'uitsmijter Oude Tol' - few things stopped me from making love to that 'uitsmijter'. My girlfriend had the carpaccio; both the look and the taste were to die for. Furthermore, a great atmosphere and lovely outdoor seating, despite the heat.

A clumsy and inexperienced waitress spilled an open bottle of tonic and the contents landed on me and my colleague... very annoying. An "oops sorry" is all she said. Too bad the management didn't pick this up. It would have been nice. Furthermore, the food was good as usual.

Delicious lunch and dinner with a view of the Spui. Well-arranged restaurant so you don't hear others talking. Food is great and lots of choice. Except for the milk (long-life) and the brown bread (dark and thick slices with too hard crust) it is otherwise perfectly fine here, we like to come here.

Nice people, but the apple pie was not special, disappointing, especially for €5 per slice and soooo cold, almost frozen. Too bad 😔

Smoke-free terrace unfortunately

A truly beautiful place with a fantastic view of the canal and incredibly delicious food. The staff are very nice and friendly. The menu is only in Dutch, but our waiter spoke English, and we understood each other without any problems. There are toys and coloring pages for younger visitors. The place seems to be very busy, so reservations are recommended.

Want to have a drink at 10:05 PM, because they don't close until 10:30 PM. But because the last guests are just finishing their round, it was apparently too much to ask to receive 2 last guests for a single beer. Normally I enjoyed this place and would come here with a group for dinner, but this makes me question whether they are really that hospitable if we can't even have a drink well before closing time.

It's good food, but you have to be patient before you get something. Ordered drinks and it took quite a while, as did the food.

Het ligt niet eens aan het personeel, dat zijn jonge en hardwerkende mensen. De tent zit vol, ten dele overvol. Het (keuken)personeel kan de drukte overduidelijk niet aan, anderhalfuur wachten op een simpele lunch is ronduit belachelijk. Het is dat ik hier op uitnodiging was van derden, anders had ik allang de spullen gepakt en mijn lunch elders genoten. De eigenaar heeft overduidelijk geen kaas gegeten van een effectief horeca concept, de kaart is veel te groot waardoor de keuken overbelast is. Leuk die lunchplanken van een meter, maar wat doe je je personeel aan? En die chips bij de broodjes; is een beetje sla met een komkommertje en een stukje tomaat te kostbaar? In welk jaar leven we? Hier is maar één doel voor de eigenaar, geld omzetten, en het liefst zoveel mogelijk in een zo kort mogelijke periode. Daarnaast is het eten van middelmatige kwaliteit of eronder. Lekker wegblijven hier, er zijn in het centrum van Oud Beijerland veel leukere tentjes te vinden waar wel een goede maaltijd genoten kan worden.

Wat een aanfluiting is dit restaurant! Wij gingen hier met zijn 5en eten voor de verjaardag van mijn vader die 87 was geworden. Ik had gereserveerd om 19.00 uur. Het voorgerecht kwam heel snel maar ons hoofdgerecht hadden wij om 20.15 uur nog niet terwijl de tafel naast ons met een grote groep mensen die veel later dan ons binnenkwamen maar hun voorgerechten en hoofdgerechten al veel eerder kregen dan wij. Na navraag te hebben gedaan waar ons eten bleef kwam de serveerster terug dat het nog een kwartiertje zou duren. Naderhand kwam er een ober die de schuld eerst in onze schoenen wilde schuiven. Uiteindelijk kregen wij ons eten. Mijn vader stikte bijna in de graten van de vis omdat deze niet gefileerd was, dit hadden wij moeten vragen werd er gezegd. Had handig geweest als de serveerster ons daarop gewezen had bij de bestelling!! De patat welke bij onze gerechten werd geserveerd was koud. Een domper op iets wat een leuke avond had moeten zijn. Op een leeftijd van 87 komen er tenslotte niet zoveel verjaardagen meer. Wij hadden na dit fiasco geen zin meer in een dessert en koffie, de teleurstelling was al te groot. Het restaurant kwam ons tegemoet door de helft van de prijs te rekenen. Maar voor ons nooit meer Paviljoen de Oude Tol!

I had requested a specific location days in advance due to wearing a hearing aid for 9 people. Not arranged. Sound came back loudly through a wooden wall. Guests very difficult to understand for me. Service was very slow this time. All visited the restaurant many times. Every time as desired. The one last time with 10 people. Babette, advertised as very tender, was incredibly tough. I have often eaten veal ribeye before, always super tender.
