My daughter-in-law and I enjoyed high tea. Delicious flavors, plenty of variety, and we sat comfortably by the water in the sunshine. The service was also excellent, and the wait wasn't long. Definitely recommended!

We had a delicious meal tonight. We sat inside by the open sliding windows overlooking the Spui. Plenty of staff to serve us. Despite the crowd, they were very relaxed and efficient. Excellent! The atmosphere was relaxed, with no distracting music, just a pleasant buzz! Price-quality ratio.

Nice spot on the Meuse River. This attracts people, and there's less attention to the finishing touches. Long waits to order drinks, dishes are forgotten, and the menu no longer matches what's being served. The food is nothing special. It's very warm inside, and there are lots of flies.

Delicious high tea at De Oude Tol! What a wonderful experience! The high tea at De Oude Tol was perfectly prepared. From savory snacks to sweet treats, everything was fresh and carefully prepared. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the beautiful presentation and the wide selection of teas. Where to start... I ate here with my girlfriend for our one-year anniversary. I ordered the 'uitsmijter Oude Tol' - few things stopped me from making love to that 'uitsmijter'. My girlfriend had the carpaccio; both the look and the taste were to die for. Furthermore, a great atmosphere and lovely outdoor seating, despite the heat.

A clumsy and inexperienced waitress spilled an open bottle of tonic and the contents landed on me and my colleague... very annoying. An "oops sorry" is all she said. Too bad the management didn't pick this up. It would have been nice. Furthermore, the food was good as usual.

Super tasty and good food, good service. They take allergies into account. Will definitely come back.

Delicious lunch and dinner with a view of the Spui. Well-arranged restaurant so you don't hear others talking. Food is great and lots of choice. Except for the milk (long-life) and the brown bread (dark and thick slices with too hard crust) it is otherwise perfectly fine here, we like to come here.

Nice people, but the apple pie was not special, disappointing, especially for €5 per slice and soooo cold, almost frozen. Too bad 😔

Smoke-free terrace unfortunately

A truly beautiful place with a fantastic view of the canal and incredibly delicious food. The staff are very nice and friendly. The menu is only in Dutch, but our waiter spoke English, and we understood each other without any problems. There are toys and coloring pages for younger visitors. The place seems to be very busy, so reservations are recommended.

We ate here for lunch with a group of 12 people. The food was very tasty, plenty of vegetarian options too. The location is also great and the staff and owner are friendly. Keep it up and if we are in the area we will definitely come back.

Want to have a drink at 10:05 PM, because they don't close until 10:30 PM. But because the last guests are just finishing their round, it was apparently too much to ask to receive 2 last guests for a single beer. Normally I enjoyed this place and would come here with a group for dinner, but this makes me question whether they are really that hospitable if we can't even have a drink well before closing time.

It's good food, but you have to be patient before you get something. Ordered drinks and it took quite a while, as did the food.

Het ligt niet eens aan het personeel, dat zijn jonge en hardwerkende mensen. De tent zit vol, ten dele overvol. Het (keuken)personeel kan de drukte overduidelijk niet aan, anderhalfuur wachten op een simpele lunch is ronduit belachelijk. Het is dat ik hier op uitnodiging was van derden, anders had ik allang de spullen gepakt en mijn lunch elders genoten. De eigenaar heeft overduidelijk geen kaas gegeten van een effectief horeca concept, de kaart is veel te groot waardoor de keuken overbelast is. Leuk die lunchplanken van een meter, maar wat doe je je personeel aan? En die chips bij de broodjes; is een beetje sla met een komkommertje en een stukje tomaat te kostbaar? In welk jaar leven we? Hier is maar één doel voor de eigenaar, geld omzetten, en het liefst zoveel mogelijk in een zo kort mogelijke periode. Daarnaast is het eten van middelmatige kwaliteit of eronder. Lekker wegblijven hier, er zijn in het centrum van Oud Beijerland veel leukere tentjes te vinden waar wel een goede maaltijd genoten kan worden.

First had a drink with three friends on the outdoor terrace with a cool breeze and lovely sunshine. It wasn't that busy at that time and the staff was therefore not 100% focused, which I can understand. The ambiance is really very atmospheric at the Spui.

Wat een aanfluiting is dit restaurant! Wij gingen hier met zijn 5en eten voor de verjaardag van mijn vader die 87 was geworden. Ik had gereserveerd om 19.00 uur. Het voorgerecht kwam heel snel maar ons hoofdgerecht hadden wij om 20.15 uur nog niet terwijl de tafel naast ons met een grote groep mensen die veel later dan ons binnenkwamen maar hun voorgerechten en hoofdgerechten al veel eerder kregen dan wij. Na navraag te hebben gedaan waar ons eten bleef kwam de serveerster terug dat het nog een kwartiertje zou duren. Naderhand kwam er een ober die de schuld eerst in onze schoenen wilde schuiven. Uiteindelijk kregen wij ons eten. Mijn vader stikte bijna in de graten van de vis omdat deze niet gefileerd was, dit hadden wij moeten vragen werd er gezegd. Had handig geweest als de serveerster ons daarop gewezen had bij de bestelling!! De patat welke bij onze gerechten werd geserveerd was koud. Een domper op iets wat een leuke avond had moeten zijn. Op een leeftijd van 87 komen er tenslotte niet zoveel verjaardagen meer. Wij hadden na dit fiasco geen zin meer in een dessert en koffie, de teleurstelling was al te groot. Het restaurant kwam ons tegemoet door de helft van de prijs te rekenen. Maar voor ons nooit meer Paviljoen de Oude Tol!

I had requested a specific location days in advance due to wearing a hearing aid for 9 people. Not arranged. Sound came back loudly through a wooden wall. Guests very difficult to understand for me. Service was very slow this time. All visited the restaurant many times. Every time as desired. The one last time with 10 people. Babette, advertised as very tender, was incredibly tough. I have often eaten veal ribeye before, always super tender.

This year we ate a few times at the Oude Tol in Oud Beijerland. We are increasingly enthusiastic about this. We also had dinner there with friends recently and it was good. Price-quality is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. Customer friendliness is perfectly fine. For me, the Dover Sole is the favorite menu. In short, good food for a reasonable price. We will definitely go back again

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, I had a delicious lunch (I had twelve hours of fish and my fiancée twelve hours of meat) in the conservatory of Restaurant De Oude Tol with a view of the Spui. Beautiful area for walking and enjoying the sun and nature.

Thank you for the hospitality in Oud-Beijerland. De Oude Tol is a charming restaurant, excellent cuisine, wide menu, friendly staff with good and fast service. Worth repeating. Recommended!

This is a really good restaurant with fresh and quality products.

The food was ok. The service was incredibly slow. Would not recommend for hungry pregnant women, as I ate a granola bar when I got desperate from waiting hours for food.

Super delicious high tea. When I ordered something else because I was very hungry, they said that I would have to wait a while because it was very busy and that my food would come very quickly. Vegan options are very good.

Cozy tent, friendly staff, the boss comes to have a chat at the table. Food excellent, at reasonable prices.

I think it's expensive, a lot of money for the little food you get. It's nice to look at the water, but no boat passes by.

Service. This gentleman grandpa won't let us in at 9:00 PM even though the site says it will close at 10:30 PM. I don't recommend anyone to have a drink here. Realm. I couldn't properly assess the atmosphere because we were immediately sent away by a gypsy, but the hallway was beautiful, that's why 2 stars! To eat. I have no idea, we weren't allowed to come in. I wanted to give 1.5 stars but unfortunately that wasn't possible

Goedendag, Wij wouden een paar drankjes gaan doen bij dit restaurant, toen we werden weggestuurd om 21:00 terwijl de zaak op site staat aangeschreven tot 22:30 ik vind het een beetje vroeg om zo vroeg iemand te weigeren die ouwe zigeunersaus opa.

This is where you can really eat! They have at least 1 specialty on each course, they can expand desserts to a cake slice with ice cream or something similar (not the minis). But the quality of the food is very good!! Note about the service, they are not always alert to drinks that are finished at the table, sometimes we have to wait a long time before we get a look to get their attention. The atmosphere of the restaurant is sublime, beautiful location, beautiful and spacious! Very atmospheric when it's full!

Great food and drinks and atmosphere but the staff really need to be more attentive to their tables. Not sure if understaffed or what but it took 4 hours for a full meal of 5 people with a minimum of 40 minutes between courses.

We aten afgelopen zondag met een gezelschap van 20 mensen hier. Restaurant is gezellig en warm aangekleed. We hadden een vooraf gekozen keuze menu van 3 voor en 5 hoofdgerechten. Het duurde enorm lang voor voorgerecht werd geserveerd. Ruim een uur en kwartier na binnenkomst pas. Dit was tevens het enige minpuntje. Eten was zalig. Goed op smaak en bloedheet! Wat opvalt is dat ze hier niet aan portie control doen want je krijgt echt een bord vol lekker en smaakvol eten. Dessert kwam op planken met cheesecake brownie ijs etc ook hier ruime hoeveelheden en alles wederom echt heel lekker. Zeker een aanrader.

Op zondag 5 januari hebben wij een Babyshower georganiseerd bij de Oude Tol. En wat zijn wij top geholpen! Aardige en meedenkende gastheer! (Helaas zijn wij de naam vergeten te vragen) Meneer was er smorgens vroeg al, om ons te helpen! En qua versieren mochten wij volledig onze gang gaan. Ook is er fijn mee gedacht over de dieetwensen van sommige gasten. Top!!

Delicious dinner tonight, super hospitable staff. When booking, I indicated that my mother and I were having a stomach reduction and whether we could share a dish. The response to this was really great and my mother and I both received a beautifully presented plate with half a portion each, but we still had the full restaurant experience. Many restaurants can still learn from this! All credit to the staff tonight!

Yesterday we enjoyed a fantastic dinner with the family at the Oude Tol. All dishes looked beautiful, with great attention to detail. What I had myself tasted delicious – truly a culinary experience! The atmosphere was cozy and the service friendly and attentive. An absolute must for an evening out. We will definitely come back!

Was gezellig waren met 6 man om een verjaardag te vieren, het eten was ner geserveerd toen de serveerster kwam met een vol blad op haar schouders waardoor alles er af viel in 1000 stukjes over het eten en kleding van 2 personen Alles werd keurig opgeruimd en er moest nieuw eten komen voor 2 personen vanwege glas in het eten. Dit hield in dat er 4 aan tafel klaar waren met eten en zij nog moesten beginnen Buiten nog de witte wijn over hun kleding Na afloop alleen een sorry Iets van compensatie kon er niet af

Everything was perfect, except our grandson was there and A: with dinner he got his pancake after everyone was already eating And B: For dessert after we were all sitting at the Keizersmarre after asking twice for his ice cream I think that is certainly sad for a 3-year-old child and I hope that this will be taken into account from now on

Nice restaurant and extensive menu. The steak and veal were wonderfully tender. Unfortunately, the temperature was too low for both dishes. Few vegetables and the puree was also cold. Please pass this on to the staff. Hopefully they do something with it.

Visited on spec on a late summer day. Of course busy, but an outside table is brought in without any problem. Start with a tapas board that is well stocked with hot and cold snacks. Delicious starter. Then bavette in pepper sauce and fish and chips. Both come with a good portion of fries. No more room for dessert. Delicious food and friendly service. Without a doubt a beautiful location along the Spui.
