Verhage Oud-Beijerland in Oud-Beijerland

They put four teenagers in Verhage and left them to fend for themselves. There's absolutely no structure, which makes everything take an awfully long time. Three tables were occupied, and even then, it took ages. People who came to take out their food were also indignant. Parts of their orders were even forgotten. I think they were really trying, but I also think Verhage should have put an adult in, but that would probably be too expensive.

I am writing this review a few days later, after my girlfriend and I had been to this Verhage for lunch. We were the only ones when we came in, except for 1 or 2 staff members. The strawberry milkshake tasted strange, not really strawberry and as if there were traces of chocolate in it, so that was not very tasty... The burger was tasty, but not very neat. Through our spot I saw the kitchen and therefore the employee throw lettuce on the burger, with all the remains of lettuce next to it, all spread out on the plate. More like a salad burger. I also noticed that the same employee was on his phone the whole time, also with our food. Little ginger hairy boy. Fortunately I did not get sick from the milkshake that tasted strange, but my girlfriend got, from what she told me, mild food poisoning.

Expected more, forgot the drink, also quite expensive, has a fried content, otherwise fine but not really distinctive

went into Verhagen last afternoon to buy a can of beer... they asked 4.55 euros... they said what do you think... really scandalous!!! This automatically means that I will never ever get anything there again. bunch of scammers!!!

After waiting an hour and a half for an online order, I called. “We're going to throw it in now sir. Sorry for the wait.” Well... food is tasty, but ordering time is really too long and information about this is lacking.

We were not greeted upon entering. We had to sit at a dirty table. It took a long time for this to be cleaned up. After 15 minutes we got our colas. Our order did not arrive all at once. The cheeseburger took another 5 minutes, but the wedges were already ready and the same ones were thrown in again later. The frikandels had a chemical taste and there were veggie chicken nuggets among the regular ones. The fries were undercooked. Staff walked by 5 times, no one asked if it tasted good. Nothing was said on departure and 2 of the 3 people now have stomach problems. I'm not sure if I still want to eat here on Saturday

Last order as recent order is once again incomplete. I complained about this by telephone A matter of failed business operations. In short, order from your competitor from now on.

Avoid this Verhage. There are a lot of staff, but nothing comes out of the fryer. What do they do? No idea, but long waits are the rule rather than the exception. Furthermore, the staff understands little about the catering industry. Serving, etiquette, wearing jewelry. Hold bottles by the opening. After 40 minutes they brought us drinks.

Had my 65th birthday with friends....received a 65th candle with cake and they sang: it's one's birthday....super fun....delicious sandwiches...good service by nice staff....recommended!!!!

Staff charged 5 people the wrong amount and it cost us much more, the man behind the cash register also had a speech impediment, which is a shame, we will never come back!!!!!

This was the last time I visited Verhage oud Beijerland. A very negative atmosphere upon entering. The boy who took our order was very disinterested and stood at the cash register with a cigarette behind his ear. I really don't think this is possible. A blonde girl who thinks she is a queen hands out sheets as if they were slaves and the arrogance she exudes. This isn't possible. Then go to the toilet. When I saw this I spontaneously decided to stop. I don't know how long it hasn't been cleaned, but it was dirty. And that in a restaurant. BAH ON COMING HOME WITH FOOD: Fries very limp, undercooked and cold Hamburger special, the hamburger was lightly fried and still frozen on the inside. The peanut sauce was very grainy and had virtually no flavor. No, Verhage doesn't know what happened, but what a bad thing this has become in a short time. It would be nice if it were like it was a few months ago. Clean and good food on your plate with today's prices. We have filed a complaint with the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority as the food here will make you sick today or tomorrow.

The quality of the food is very good, the temperature inside is on the cold side, and service is inconsistent, then order again at the counter and the next time they come to the table to take your order, very confusing.

Very friendly staff and a delicious menu with lots of choice. I would definitely like to come back here! The chicken fillet burger was especially tasty. And the fries are deliciously crispy. Super tent, great. We also received a receipt to get Christmas socks tomorrow, which is a nice idea! In short, super good and worth 5 stars.

Take away food. When I got home it turned out that the right thing wasn't in the bag. After contacting me by telephone, I was told that we could come back to pick up the correct item. But then the rest of the food would be cold when we got home. I asked if the correct order could be delivered. That wasn't possible because there were only the two of them. They are able to do something wrong with just 2 people, but not solve it to the customer's satisfaction. Unfortunately. I'm done with Verhage. Not a good word about it and you lose a customer. Next time back to the Gebo. Shame.

On Sunday October 27 at 11:40 am I got a healthy sandwich, satay sandwich and mayo fries. The satay sandwich was incomplete. The fries were half fried and not tasty. The healthy sandwich was ready earlier and was placed under the warming lamp so that the cheese was half melted. Had to wait more than 40 minutes! The customers in front of me also had to wait a long time and came to the counter to ask why it was taking so long. The boy in charge remained very calm and resolved everything neatly. He actually worked alone because his colleagues had not yet been properly trained and did not know what to do at all. In short...There is work to be done! P.s. If the manager is looking for another job... you can work with us!

I didn't know you could destroy a business so much in such a short time. Since the new owner, you cannot order much around dinner time as most of it is sold out or has not arrived. The last time I ordered there, the food was not ready when I went to pick it up and had to wait another fifteen minutes. The food was also not very warm. The fries and snacks tasted like burnt frying fat and were very limp, the coating on the burgers was hard to find. The old owner has worked so hard to put the business back on the map, but in my opinion this has already been undone in the 2 to 3 weeks with a new owner. It's become a mess. There are several large puddles near the counter that are very dangerous. And this in just 2 or 3 weeks. Very unfortunate, but we will eat elsewhere next time. No more Verhage for us. Ordered food on Friday evening at 5:45 pm to have it delivered via home delivery. Expected delivery time was 25-35 minutes. At 6:20 PM the status changed to, your order is almost arriving. Tried calling at 6:40 PM, but the phone was still not answered. Then I cycled to the snack bar to ask where my order was. I arrived there at 7:00 PM and found complete chaos. A telephone that kept ringing, people who were sitting in the restaurant and had to wait a very long time and then still received the wrong orders, and several people who, like me, had tried to call where their order was and eventually came to the restaurant. . They would start processing my order right away. In the end my order was not taken until 7:30 PM. When I came outside it turned out that a croquette was still missing, back again. In the end I didn't receive anything for the long wait and paid €2.50 for delivery while I picked up my order myself. Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for my food, probably longer if I hadn't gone that way.

Would have liked to give it a 4.5. But unfortunately that is not possible. I ordered a carpaccio sandwich. Came on delicious brown bread. However, there was no decoration included. Not a piece of lettuce. No tomato. No pickle. Nothing. I thought that was a shame. Tasted good otherwise. And the Cappuccino here is delicious! Recommended.

Just ordered ice cream from Verhage oud-Beijerland, super fast and friendly service and the ice cream was delicious! Definitely recommended!

The fries were limp and not well done, we didn't get any raw vegetables with our fries, but we did have to ask for this later. The glass with drinks was not clean at the bottom so I could not drink it. Too bad how we experienced this.

I have been to verhagen in many places. But this is the best, great service, customer friendly, and the quality is great!!!! My favorite snack bar!

Time and again, setting up shop and coming home with: not delivered in bag / bag what you ordered and paid!!!! So worthless So done!! For the umpteenth time now! I keep thinking, oh, children like that can make mistakes. But this is structural Impossible !@@

I had ordered online on their own website with home delivery. It took a while but was eventually delivered, drainage days in the village, so understandable, but the order was not complete, I called and was eventually helped by the gentleman who had handled the order. Apologies were offered, we received the missing item quickly and even received extras for the inconvenience. Apologies again at the door Super solution, and it was tasty and of good quality. Compliments!

I had a cheeseburger, lettuce had brown edges and smelled funny. No more tomato pickle on it. Didn't look fresh. Toilets very dirty. Staff is friendly.

Waiting for over an hour in the restaurant for a frozen carpaccio sandwich👍🏻 Waitresses don't look at you, so you also suffer from a dry throat. Cutlery is also a difficult story. In short: great business.

Have ordered here a few times now. Usually satisfied, but things have gone wrong a few times now, like tonight. We got a crushed croquette, no sauce (this has been the case several times) and a small bowl of fries/fries. After calling, we received our sauces, but this was half an hour later and the food was long gone. We did receive a shake for free. Nevertheless, the experience at Verhage tonight was somewhat disappointing.

I think you can eat well in the store itself, but don't have it delivered because then it will be a big disappointment. The food is nicely packaged but lukewarm/cold and it is apparently not suitable for cycling. And there are certainly alternatives for good snacks to pick up.

The food is basically what you would expect from a snack bar, even though the fries are just barely done. What I (as a catering entrepreneur) find worst is that the online orders are never on time and the staff is not friendly. When the owner is there, there is work going on, but there is not really a happy and hospitable atmosphere and when the owner is not there, it is only worse. Then they fool around with each other in the restaurant itself with their shoes on tables or chairs. They don't look at you or say hello. As if they are not at all happy with your arrival. And then you think oh, this is definitely just once... No, I have ordered and picked up food from here several times. This is downright one of the worst catering experiences I have had.

I don't often post reviews but this place deserves one. I came here for lunch with my girlfriend and was amazed by the extensive lunch menu. The food was ready quickly & also very tasty. The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions we had about the menu! I will definitely come here more often!!

Verhage has really become my go-to spot. The food is just next level delicious, and the vibe there is always fun. Whether you fancy a juicy burger or just crispy fries, they always deliver. And the service? Simply great. Highly recommended!

Had a delicious meal at Verhagen Oud Beijerland. The atmosphere can be described as cozy, nice setup and the service is certainly good. Despite it being busy around 6 p.m., there was an eye for the guest and we were served well. The food was very tasty and I can definitely recommend the spareribs. We will definitely come back again. In my opinion one of the best snack bar/dining in the Hoeksche Waard. Lots of choice and good, neat and above all tasty food. The service is great, always a smile and you receive a friendly welcome upon entering. I like to come there and enjoy the great variety. The new owner is very friendly and always makes us very satisfied.

Wij kwamen graag bij Verhagen op het Vierwieken plein maar nu niet meer zo graag. We waren gewend dat er gevraagd werd of het allemaal naar wens was en als we klaar waren met eten en het toetje kwam dat het vuile spul mee werd genomen Maar niets van dit alles, dat is gewoon jammer. Vaak zeiden we, joh ff lekker langs Verhagen.....

Hele lekkere patat en snacks! Goede service ook en niet extreem duur.

Jammer dat ze je lang laten zitten, bleek dat we met een qrcode ons eten konden bestellen. Eten ...t gaat tis niet dat je zegt wow! Maar voor een tussendoortje is het prima. De curry/ketchup vinden wij niet lekker

Er hadden vijf sterren kunnen staan. De eigenaar en zijn vrouw zeer vriendelijk en sympathiek. Helaas was de dame uit de keuken zeker niet vriendelijk. Eten van één persoon was lauw (stoverij over de friet). De sfeer is gezellig en de opmaak van de borden zag er heel verzorgd uit.

Ik kom uit Rotterdam maar was voor werk daar in de buurt en ik had honger dus ff een patat stoofvlees gehaald !! Hij was super lekker vandaar dat ik dit schrijf ik heb me vingers erbijna bij opgegeten !! Echt een aanrader !! Er waren veel bloemen en ballonnen binnen in de zaak ,ik vroeg ernaar en die aardige man achter de balie vertelde dat hij precies die dag de zaak had overgenomen en toen kreeg ik een gratis ijsje aangeboden met snoepjes nog wel ,erg aardig !! Ik wens hem heel veel succes met ondernemen en mensen neem dat patatje stoofvlees !!

Vandaag met onze kleinzoon van 2jaar oud wezen eten echt top om hier frietjes en een snack te eten. Snel je bestelling klaar en nog lekker ook dat is prima. Lekker rustig om te zitten.

Een paar keer gaan lunchen bij Verhage. Een high end friet tent (als ik het zo mag noemen). Ik heb helaas niet alle foto's. Maar de gourmet fries of loaded fries zijn wel goed erg goed. De laatste keer had ik de steakburger (foto) die was erg goed. Vers, sappig, goed broodje, heerlijk. Mijn collega had de sate. De satesaus was ook uitmuntend. Geen aangelengde pindakaas of wyko. Niets mis mee maar geen echte satesaus. De frietjes daarbij waren prima. Ik had twister fries. Niets op aan te merken. Enige is wel, niet goedkoop. 2 gerechten en een drankje = € 35 euro bijna

Mooie nette zaak en heerlijk gegeten met mijn gezin. Best prijzig vergeleken met een normale snackbar maar het is kwalitatief ook veel beter tegenwoordig, meer een luxe eetcafé dan een snackbar.

Prijzen van de sauzen zijn wel erg aan de maat, (overigens niet alleen bij verhage maar algemeen.) 70 euro ct voor een potje mayo of ketchup is echt over de top .

Gezellig gegeten met de klein kinderen. Enige minpunt is dat er geen ruimte is om een kind te verschonen.
