Nice place. Delicious lunch. Everything was quite greasy, though. Nice beer selection. Service was a bit slow considering the sheer number of staff and not many guests.

It was another special experience! On Sunday afternoon, July 13th, we had a delicious lunch with you. Thank you for the flexibility regarding outdoor seating. Everything was fantastic!

Fantastic location, amazing dishes with an incredible flavor experience. Wonderful service. In short, highly recommended for anyone who enjoys great food and a cozy atmosphere.

Been here a few times now and everything is right. The food is of very good quality and the service and atmosphere is enjoyable every time. It is a beautiful location and the distance between the tables is really perfect, not as crammed together as is normal in many restaurants these days.

It was really an evening of enjoyment! Delicious dishes with beautiful matching wines. Great to be spoiled like this for an evening. Of course not a cafe, but carefully chosen dishes. With many products from a peat garden in Berkenwoude. Friendly and correct service with a lot of knowledge. An absolute must!!!!!

We really enjoyed the delicious, pure food from the Proefstand. A hidden gem in Krimpen a/d Lek, which in my opinion deserves more attention. Friendly welcome, pleasant atmosphere, good explanation about the local products and dishes and surprisingly good flavor combinations. A look at the old Bolnes factory was of course also a must. The pianist played well, but a little too up-tempo, which did not improve the atmosphere.

We had a very tasty meal, and immediately made a new reservation :) A small downside is that the vegetarian variant is not very filling (the proteins in asparagus do not correspond to the proteins in a piece of fish), you actually need a cheese board to complete the whole. But that cheese board was also very worth it!

What a nice location, friendly staff and fantastic food. The 3- or 4-course surprise menu made from fresh, local products is always great and also for a reasonable price! I hope to have many more dinners here!

An attractive dinner for two. Seasonal and sustainable. We were really pampered. The kitchen can take allergies and dietary requirements into account. We will definitely come back!

The place and the food look fantastic, but despite several attempts we have not yet managed to eat here. This is due to very limited opening hours and even during opening hours the kitchen can be closed! For example, on Sundays you can only have lunch until 3:00 PM instead of lunch until 5:00 PM as stated on the site. P.S. 1 we were indeed unable to eat here so I have omitted the food review P.S. 2 making a reservation is an option in some cases, but for a more spontaneous visit (sometimes it is nice not to plan everything on a day off) it would help if you clearly stated the correct information on your site. Although your response to this review shows that you have difficulty processing criticism, I see that you have now adjusted the information on your site (within 1 day). Thanks for this. Incidentally, even after the adjusted text, I am still in the dark as to how late your full kitchen is open.

Had dinner with 6 people in this spacious restaurant with live music. Nice hostess with sufficient interest in her guests. Modest menu with surprising non-standard dishes. Still the creative Australian chef in the open kitchen. Wine list okay. Price/quality absolutely good. Neat toilets. And dog friendly. Would love to come back again!

1 fixed menu, no choice, we knew that and we really enjoy cooking with seasonal products. Nice welcome, started with an aperitif and oyster. We opted for the four-course menu. Starter and entree were delicious and beautifully presented. The main course was also tasty, but in my experience there were more individual components on the plate than one whole. Nice and fresh dessert, just like the starter and entree, it was beautifully prepared and very tasty. A different menu every month, we will definitely come back again.

Fantastic restaurant in a unique location. Special seasonal dishes. No menu, but food what the chef makes. Exciting, but delicious! Of course we started with the unsurpassed, homemade bitterbal. The courses that followed were all delicious. Everything from honest products, most of them from the region. It's been a long time since we had such a delicious meal. Absolutely recommended.

Just had a two-course 'Ice and Re-Serving' lunch in this beautiful restaurant on De Zaag. Dishes are truly delicious, beautiful combinations of special, unique ingredients. Service at the same level as the food; everything was served with a smile. If you are looking for an experience instead of a 'standard dinner', then this (just like the delicious cinnamon bun) is highly recommended!

Unique restaurant in a unique location. Go here for culinary surprises with special ingredients. Also highly recommended for vegetarians! When the weather is nice, a large terrace is open. When the weather is bad, it is wonderful to warm up with something tasty after a walk through the De Zaag nature reserve, where you will always be warmly welcomed by enthusiastic staff.

Very nice place with excellent food. Waiters are very young but very kind. The only criticism I have is that there's no(t many) standard veggie options on the menu. Although it was very easy for the chef to come up with a veggie version of another dish.

Hidden on the island, where you least expect it, is a special restaurant! You can clearly see that no savings have been made, including the staff! If you've never been there, I definitely recommend you pay it a visit. A special place for a special outing.

An extensive Easter lunch with poached egg in advance, lamb, potato, carrot with buckwheat, cheese board and various dishes. deserts. And a suitable wine for every dish. Highly recommended.

Been here for the first time today. Had dinner for 12 hours with partner. A simple lunch dish in itself, but they still manage to give it a nice twist and presentation. We will definitely come back here.

Wat een prachtig palet van smaken in combinatie met het geweldige wijnarrangement. Gedurfde ( soms biologische) wijnen. Smaak opbouw is perfect! Zicht op keuken waar heel relaxed gewerkt wordt. Ambiance is anders, maar een warme temperatuur; letterlijk en figuurlijk. Je hebt geen keuze, in principe. vegetar i sch menu was ook heel bijzonder

Wat een heerlijke gerechten met lokale producten van het seizoen. Stuk voor stuk subliem! Goede service, prachtige locatie.

Geweldig gegeten: schitterende gerechten met veel lokale, seizoensgebonden ingredienten. Erg bijzonder hoe de koks met lokale ingredienten zulke speciale smaakcombinaties maken. Het meest bijzonder waren de gefrituurde schorseneer, (vegetarische) pompoen met witlof, spruiten en een mouse van pastinaak, alsmede het nagerecht van safraan-ijs. Alles zelfgemaakt en alles bij elkaar een uitstekende samenstelling met goed-combinerende smaken. Ervaring in het restaurant zelf ook erg goed met vriendelijk personeel en veel aandacht. Fabulous gastronomic experience. A menu that I would say, it reminds of the Michelin Stars' restaurants . Every dish is thought out in every detail and every ingredient is refined and of first quality. The waiters are highly prepared, professional and at the same time know how to make you feel at home. Congratulations to the staff and chefs who have created these wonders of dishes! I will definitely be back.

Great food made from locally produced produce. Very friendly staff. And if you are into engineering do not forget to have a look through the window behind the bar where you can look into the old diesel engine factory. Highly recommended!

Vandaag met onze 'Ome Teun' een familylunch gebruikt bij de Proefstand. Wat een klassezaak. Interieur, menu, personeel alles tot in de details uitgewerkt. Fijn dat Ome Teun nog even naar zijn oude werkplek terug mocht en groot was de verassing dat zijn naam nog op de groepenkast stond! Jullie willen niet weten wat voor een indruk dit op onze Oom gemaakt heeft en nog veel over nagepraat zal worden. Team de Proefstand, bedankt!! En zeker tot ziens als jullie terras ook klaar is!

Mooi en modern restaurant in het vroegere Bolnes gebouw. Leuke sfeer en zeer goed gegeten. Het is wat aan de prijzige kant maar dat is het zeker waard. Terras werd nog gebouwd toen wij er waren maar zal zeker een su6 worden.

Heerlijk 4-gangen verrassingsmenu gegeten. De locatie is fantastisch en heeft veel potentieel. Het restaurant heeft een moderne en sfeervolle industriële inrichting. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en heeft duidelijk verstand van zaken. Echt een aanwinst voor Krimpen aan de Lek. Kortom: aanrader!!

Wat een pareltje! Lang geleden dat we zo lekker hebben gegeten. Het zou me erg verbazen als dit restaurant in de nabije toekomst niet in de prijzen valt. De Proefstand, warm aanbevolen!

Heerlijk vier gangen menu van de chef met als starter nog oesters en heerlijke huisgemaakte bitterballen. Mijn gezelschap had een heerlijk wijn arrangement bij de 4 gangen. De gerechten zijn goed op smaak, goed van hoeveelheid en mooi afgestemd op de wijnen. Het personeel is vriendelijk en professioneel. De ambiance is fijn en een unieke plek om te dineren!
