⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Extra stars for this little gem. Wow, wow, wow… Restaurant Pieters is truly a gem. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you are completely pampered. The service is of a level you rarely encounter anymore – that classic Michelin attention as it was originally intended. We enjoyed beautiful wines and champagne, and an abundance of amuse-bouches that were all very flavorful. The dishes are traditional and refined, perfectly seasoned, and part of a beautifully balanced menu. And then the cheese board… that is absolutely recommended and truly a feast in itself. Everything is right here: the service, the hospitality, the quality of the food. We eat out regularly, but here we really had nothing to complain about. An absolute must for anyone looking for a special culinary experience.

First time at a Michelin-starred restaurant. I was a bit disappointed with the food. But for the service and friendliness, it gets a solid 10! And the fact that they even serve foie gras is absolutely absurd... an animal-friendly menu wouldn't hurt.

We enjoyed the delicious food yesterday. We were surprised by the variety of flavors and (local) dishes served with care and precision. The hostess was very friendly and offered excellent wine recommendations. There are also good options for those who don't want to drink alcohol. We're still enjoying the meal!

Incredibly good and carefully cooked dishes, and it's understandable that they've won the Gouden Pollepel again. However, the setting might be a bit old-fashioned and stuffy for younger diners, which is a shame, as they'll likely miss out on this culinary experience. Look past it and go eat there sometime, if you can afford it!

An exceptionally good restaurant in the center of picturesque Bergambacht. Delicious dishes, lovely accompanying wines, and exceptionally friendly and attentive service complete the evening. Highly recommended if you're in the area. A true family business with great care for its guests and dishes.

I chose the Prestige Menu here. A very warm welcome upon arrival. Beautiful, pure dishes, deliciously flavored, with fantastic matching wines. It has been a long time since I enjoyed myself so much in a restaurant. Highly recommended!

What a hidden gem! Got to eat there for the second time in a week (thanks to a forgotten coat). A friendly welcome in this lovely family business. The food is so pure and balanced, classic, refined, yet fresh. Highly recommended!

The 100th review gets a full 100%! On February 8th, the two of us had a fantastic dinner at Pieters Restaurant. The atmosphere was great (there was some lovely French music playing), the service was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the food and wines were exquisite. Bergambacht can be proud of this restaurant!

We had a fantastic meal in a fitting setting where wine and food take center stage. Classic cuisine with beautiful, luxurious ingredients and combinations. The dishes were consistently high quality, with delicious amuse-bouches. Highlights were the scallops, ravioli, and Iberian. The wine list is small but well-organized and comprehensive. More than worthy of a star, and 14.5 GM is far too low in my opinion; this restaurant deserves at least one more point. The next investment would be Riedel or Zalto wine glasses, in addition to the already beautiful Coquette tableware. Highly recommended!

Celebrated Valentine's Day here. Highly recommended; the dishes complemented each other perfectly. It was also cozy, welcoming, and atmospheric.

A wonderful Sunday lunch at Pieters. No-nonsense, beautiful, pure flavors, and a wealth of essence. Just like in the village itself, there's little excess and a passion for authentic taste. A warm hostess. One point of concern is the decor, which feels a bit dated. Aside from that, a wonderful spot for a refined lunch in the heart of the Green Heart. Highly recommended and worthy of a Michelin star.

We regularly visit restaurants with four people, including Pieters. We unanimously agreed that this restaurant wasn't Michelin-star worthy. The dishes were bland and certainly not surprising in flavor, which is what a Michelin-star restaurant should be. The wine pairing explanation was brief, so much so that we could even read it on the bottle. We found the price of €138 for 5 courses too high and not commensurate with the dishes. The total price was $820!! For example: I received a (small) piece of pork as one of the courses. Half of it was brittle fat, which I didn't eat. I did mention it, and the response was, "But it's cooked through." All in all, a disappointing experience.

Een fantastische en feestelijke afsluiting van 2024! Op de laatste zondag van het jaar zijn we samen naar Pieters Restaurant geweest voor een fantastische lunch. Een middagvullend programma met vele gerechten van culinair hoog niveau. Na de ontvangst met bites en amuses begeleid met een glas Champagne kregen we ons eerste voorgerecht. Pieter en Julia zorgden voor de prima seizoensgerechten en gastvrouw Paula en brigade zorgden ervoor dat ons niets te kort kwam. Een volledig wijnarrangement werd ons afgeraden gezien de hoeveelheid gerechten. Paula had wel een alternatief waarbij we bij gerechten dezelfde wijn door konden drinken. De combinaties waren uitstekend en pasten goed bij de gerechten. Ben je in de buurt van Bergambacht ga dan zeker een keer langs bij Pieters Restaurant. Zorg wel dat je op tijd reserveert. De sfeer is intiem en huiselijk. Door die huiselijke sfeer zijn er een beperkt aantal tafels beschikbaar. Lukt het om een tafel te reserveren dan zal je een heerlijke middag/avond beleven. Wij kijken al weer uit naar onze volgende ontmoeting.

Het was een lunch met een gouden (eitje) randje. We hebben enorm genoten. Zo leek elk gerecht wel een schilderijtje. Pluim ook voor Julia voor het dessert en de zoetjes bij de koffie. Foto’s liegen er niet om. Zeker een aanrader.

Eerste kennismaking met dit gezellige restaurant waar je je bij de familie thuis waant. Eten is prima, goed op smaak, geen absoluut culinaire hoogstandjes. De lazy sunday amuze proeverij is leuk en ruim, meer dan voldoende wat ons betreft. Zijn ook niet echt amuse-porties (maar ruimer dus). Je komt zeker niets tekort.

Deze plek is echt de moeite waard. Waar er bij sommige sterren zaken nog wel eens een gerecht bij zit waar ik minder enthousiast over ben, waren hier alle gerechten spot-on. Een familie restaurant die de passie voor gastronomie ademt.

Zeer de moeite waard. Smaakvol restaurant waar we hebben genoten van het jubileum menu en fijne bediening. Verrassende smaken in combinatie met heerlijke wijnen. Huis gerookte zalm een plaatje en ook nog super lekker, tarbot smelt in de mond, het iberico buikspek...heerlijk, asperges bij het rosé kalf heel smakelijk, rose kalf zelf te ver door en weinig smaak. Desert verrukkelijk, nog net het pannetje van de sabayon niet uitgelikt ;-) Voor ons een paar kleine min puntjes bij heel veel plus punten. Zoals weinig tot geen uitleg bij de wijnen, de wachttijd tussen de gerechten waren te lang en de wijnen werden te vroeg geschonken of niet bij geschonken.

What a wonderful evening and how well we were taken care of! All dishes were delicious! The cold smoked salmon, the iberico, the stuffed egg and the cheese board were all top notch! The wine was also a good match. It is a small restaurant with a chic living room feeling!

Gang naar gang. Wat een fantastisch restaurant. Prachtige gerechten, intense smaken, prachtige wijnen. We voelden ons enorm welkom door de goede bediening, de goede adviezen en de uitleg per gerecht. Een belevenis. Een echte aanrader.

In the quest for culinary delights and unique flavors, I stumbled upon this beautifully adorned, romantic, small restaurant with exquisite service. The cuisine reached the pinnacle, accompanied by delightful service and a splendid atmosphere. Undoubtedly deserving of a Michelin star! Highly recommended! The only detail I could nitpick is that, at the beginning, the waitress served red wine in a glass intended for white wine. Apart from that minor hiccup, it would have been a flawless dining experience! Once again, highly recommended!

Never been treated so rudely before! Michelin will receive a detailed explanation ... after a busy day you may not be having your day, but what an arrogant jellyfish! I think your guests pay your salary, etc. A simple question and then so rude, it really shocked my catering heart, I would rather take our 500 euros to the food bank, this is bizarre!

I only knew Bergambacht from the dairy farms and also only because an ex of mine lived on one of his father's dairy farms. I already knew the craft for fresh, good dairy products, but I had not really experienced culinary food from Bergambacht. On the farm the food was mainly simple, easy, functional and certainly not culinary. During a Covid lockdown, a taste tour was organized along a number of restaurants in that area and so we also passed by Pieter's restaurant. Yesterday we finally really sat inside and enjoyed a culinary evening. What I like so much is that it is a real family business, where do you still find a father and daughter working together in a star kitchen and the mother at the front? The warm family atmosphere is also reflected in the entourage of the restaurant because when you enter you really think that you are entering a cozy living room. We started with bites, then some appetizers and then we moved on to a five-course dinner that ultimately ended up in seven courses because I wanted a double dessert (you know me, never enough desserts) and also because we were served an extra entree as a surprise. got from the house. There were dishes that were a little less flavorful or could have used a little more sauce or gravy, but there were certainly also fantastically tasty dishes that were absolutely perfect. The smoked “balik” salmon tasted delicious together with the most delicious cream cheese/curd I have ever eaten. The smokiness went so well with the fat of the salmon and the crispiness of the salmon eggs plus the sourness of the cream cheese that broke the fat a bit, it was amazing. Another super dish is the Iberico crackling, you can taste that this dish has been perfected. It is perfectly balanced, the doneness of the meat, the taste, the mouthfeel, this dish could really wake me up and was the highlight of the evening. The dessert we ordered extra was red fruit with champagne and €26 pp, we did not know this in advance, but it was not entirely worth the price. It was too basic and price wise not in balance, especially if I compare it with other desserts from other 1 star restaurants we have been to. But then the second dessert, I'm not saying it made everything right, but that second dessert was perfect in its entirety. I still think about it now and would like to eat it again. So creamy, the almonds came out beautifully, a bit of a macaroon in taste and the mouthfeel was exactly right. In my mouth the cold/crisp/sweet/slightly sour and the creaminess was really 10/10. The atmosphere and service are great, the wines are beautifully paired and the friandises looked good. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling great and had to skip some of them. Partly because I was very kindly given a box of macarons to take home from Julia. Would I recommend the restaurant? Yes, you can eat really well there, but not every dish felt finished. Was it star worthy? Not everything was right and for me it is therefore personally a no. But we increasingly come across things that bear a star and we sometimes wonder why. I sometimes think it puts too much pressure on a restaurant, the customer expects some perfection or at least value for money. There are plenty of businesses in the Netherlands that do not carry a star and that are sometimes better than businesses with a star. In any case, I woke up today with a delicious breakfast, Julia's macarons. They were fantastic and I would like to thank the entire family for all their hospitality yesterday.

Excellent restaurant located in Bergambacht. A 10-15 min taxi ride from the train station in Gouda will get you there. Menu was a surprise menu which I really enjoyed. Prices are reasonable and the quality is definitely good.

Pieters Thuis Takeaway - 'Thuis uit eten' - in 1 woord GE-WEL-DIG !! Een heerlijk 7 (incl amuse en brood) gangen thuis diner. Bijzonder smakelijk en verfijnd. Zeer eenvoudig klaar te maken volgens de instructies (wat je nodig hebt is een oven en een pannetje). Tafel mooi gedekt en netjes aangekleed....heel leuk 🤩(foto: coquille, bloemkool, hazelnoot, vinaigrette)

Heerlijk menu van Pieters thuis, met als hoogtepunt Pieters soes als afsluiter. Gerechten zijn makkelijk zelf te verwarmen met duidelijke en eenvoudige instructies.

Pieters thuis, want dat is het nu tijdens de corona epidemie is een heerlijk verzorgde avond thuis. Het menu is stijlvol, gemakkelijk te bereiden en met wat geduld ook mooi zelf te presenteren. De prijs kwaliteit is helemaal in orde en de porties zijn ook prima. Koop er ook nog een lekkere fles bij en dan is het helemaal af. Ik kijk nu al weer uit naar een volgende kans om het weekmenu te proeven.

Heerlijk gegeten in een stijlvolle omgeving

Het eten was heerlijk. Alle gangen waren top. Mijn topper was het toetje. Zo speciaal. Heerlijk met zijn zessen gegeten. Speciaal, vriendelijk en gastvrij.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Echt verrassend lekker. Hier kookt een kok met passie! We hebben genoten van de culinaire hoogstandjes. En gelukkig geen lange wachttijden. We hoefden daarom niet urenlang te tafelen. Eindelijk weer eens een restaurant met perfecte akoestiek. Van andere gasten geen last en de muziek was tot detail hoorbaar en toch niet aanwezig. Alles klopte t/m de wijnen die overigens goed betaalbaar bleken. Chapeau!

Een genot voor oog en maag. Heerlijke eten en vriendelijk personeel. Als je echt een avond uit wil is dit jouw restaurant. Mooie gerechten en lekkere wijnen. Op en top genieten.

Pieters Restaurant werkt zo veel mogelijk met streekproducten. Het is een klein gezellig restaurant met een landelijke uitstraling. Heel leuk voor vieren van bijzondere dagen.
