Very nice restaurant. Enjoyed a surprise vegetarian menu. This was absolutely not inferior to the "normal menu". Thanks for the nice evening!

Well-maintained restaurant with culinary delights

Ate on the terrace in the garden on our wedding day. Atmosphere great, food delicious and service really top. Chefs 4 courses, every course a highlight! Our new favorite restaurant. And the dessert even adjusted, see photo....top.

The food is always good here! Prepared with care and love and you can taste it and see it in the beautifully presented plates. The service is always nice and Jens is great! We often take the menu and be surprised! We recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I came here for a lunch meeting. You can have a meeting here while having lunch. Service also excellent. However, the map disappointed me. Besides the high prices, I didn't see anything I would normally order for lunch. Actually they were dishes like for a dinner. But not something lighter. Not nice bread or good salad. I had a steak but it was hard work to chew it down. In Germany, even in the simplest restaurant you can get steak or any meat that you can eat easily and tasty even without teeth. In the Netherlands that doesn't seem to work, even in a restaurant of this level. And then those ridiculously small portions of vegetables. I wouldn't even call that a portion. If I hadn't had guests I would definitely have said something about it. Anyway, never again.

Went here for high tea with 4 ladies last Saturday. How wonderful that was. Definitely recommended. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and good service.

Werkelijk heerlijk gegeten. Alle gerechten waren fantastisch. We aten een prachtig kreeftgerecht met coquille vooraf en een paté van ganzenlever met ibericoham. Als tussengerecht een supermooie bisque. Ik zeg er ook prachtig en mooi bij omdat het allemaal schilderijtjes zijn. Als hoofdgerecht eendenborst, precies goed gebakken en als een bloem op het bord gelegd. Mijn tafelgenoot had kalfswang die hij zelf ook graag maakt. Hij moest toegeven dat deze wel erg lekker was. Nagerecht een traditionele crème brullen. Perfect.

We had another wonderful evening. Delicious food, as always here. We were a group of 14 people, 6 of whom were children. Because we had the garden room to ourselves, they could go about their business without disturbing other guests, so the adults also had a nice evening. Went here for lunch and ate according to the boss's recommendation. Yes expensive for lunch but we were on a little mini trip and for the food we got it was very good value. Seabass mousse with tempura prawn, fried so well beforehand, oven-fresh bread and greetings from the kitchen. Main course veal fillet with glace vegetables and accessories very tasty. Then a small one between dessert before the dessert 😅 and at the end a very successful dessert. Really great wines to go with it. All in all great with great service 😊

we eten hier 1 of 2 keer per jaar, maar nu voor de derde keer. Fijn dat het menu nu meer wisselt. de gerechten zijn van hoge kwaliteit en de garnituren passend. De bediening is soepel, vriendelijk en ongedwongen en gaat bijna nooit wat fout. Ze houden rekening met de wensen en je mag hier wijnen per glas fles of in een BOB arrangement bestellen.

Een fijne ervaring op het tuinterras, zowel eten als service. De tafels werden goed verzorgd door een team van jonge serveersters. Ik let altijd erg op details (van kleine tot grote fouten), maar werkelijk.... ik heb geen fout kunnen vinden! Wij hadden het viergangen menu en dit was voortreffelijk. Het wachten tussen de gangen maakte het relaxt voor ons, maar ik kan mij voorstellen dat niet iedereen dit prettig zal vinden. Wij geven in restaurants altijd zelf aan als we tijdig weg moeten, dan kan de bediening / keuken hier rekening mee houden.

Gezellig en sfeervol restaurant waar je smaakpapillen getest worden.. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en verstaan hun vak.. Je hebt keuze uit 3 4 of 5 gangen menu, maar je kunt ook gewoon van de kaart eten.. De borden worden met zorg en precisie opgemaakt..

Het 4 gangen menu was voortreffelijk, we waren met 11 personen, sommigen hadden het vis menu, de anderen het vleesmenu. Ook de bediening liep, ondanks dat het restaurant helemaal vol zat en er ook nog een bruiloft beneden gevierd werd werkelijk als een trein! Iedereen was zeer enthousiast!

Have been coming to this restaurant occasionally for years and have had a good experience from the start during these years. The experiences have also always been a little better each time than the previous time. Last evening was another evening where the food was perfectly matched to the accompanying wine. A taste explosion with every course with a plate on which a palette of color and taste makes your experience of an evening out fantastic. At De Wachter you don't just go out for dinner, you experience an evening that will stay with you.

Fantastic food and excellent service.

On July 22, 2023 we were married for 53 years. I had made the reservation at the Wachter without my husband knowing anything about it. We had a great meal there again and enjoyed it. The service was very friendly. This evening cannot be taken from us anymore. Our daughter had her wedding party there with a buffet, and everyone was very enthusiastic about that. The service was also perfect then.

High tea done. Sat outside on the terrace. Fortunately covered in this warm weather. Friendly staff. Also knew answers to specific questions about the food. Value for your money.

Had a wonderful dining experience at De Wachter tonight. A perfectly coordinated 5-course dinner from start to finish. The pace at which the dishes are served is more than good. The service is young, smooth and correct. The ambiance is beautiful and atmospheric. The dishes are beautifully presented and contain all the elements in taste with the added bonus of a delicious crispy in different shapes on almost all dishes. In short, a perfect evening and worth repeating.

Nicely decorated, good furniture. Nice service, clearly in a rural environment given the volume at the table. Food with a strong flavor and very well prepared. An accompanying drink, other than 0.0 wine or beer, was also prepared for the non-alcoholic people. Definitely a place to go back to.

Last night we enjoyed an excellent Menu du Chef, a 4-course dinner with our Badger Eating Club. With delicious bread and an appetizer beforehand, the 4 courses were not only beautifully prepared, but also tasted more than excellent. You could taste every detail on your plate. After the main course we received a surprise appetizer of panna cotta with ground coconut and a little chili pepper. The house wines were excellent. We will definitely come back here.

Company meeting followed by dinner (buffet) in the garden room: highly recommended! First of all, the space is fantastic, modern but very attractive with seats at a cozy but pleasant distance. And then of course with the beautiful, very green and again cozy garden behind it, which can be reached through large (sliding or folding?) doors. The food was delicious - partly prepared on site in the charcoal oven - with a nice mix of flavors and vegetarian options. Finally, the employees were all friendly, service-oriented and efficient, and the owners were very involved. Again, highly recommended :-)

We often come here for lunch. This case has only positives. Friendly service, tasty food and delicious tap water with ice. The daily menu is always great and if you want to order a la carte, you have a wide choice of delicious dishes. The garden is a great place for lunch in summer. A wonderful place to cycle to in the summer. The photos are dishes from the menu and all equally tasty.

Went to dinner with my daughter, a 5 course dinner. Recommended. The soup and deer were the highlights. But not to the detriment of the other corridors. Friendly owner who told us what kind of menu there was and who showed us the place afterwards, which was a surprise for us because we didn't know there were other places to eat. The waiter explained the wines to us in a nice way. In fact, all courses were a work of art in every respect and not only because it was delicious.
