Restaurant Efeze Zevenaar in Zevenaar

We had a tasty meal, but the table setting was cramped.

For 4 people, we received the same amount of side dishes as 1 person would receive (1 small bowl of fries and 1 bowl of salad). We asked if additional side dishes could be ordered, which was confirmed and done accordingly (we received 1 bowl of fries and 1 bowl of salad again). Upon arriving home, we saw on the bill that the additional side dishes had been charged (fries €3.95 and salad €3.95), which is ridiculous. Preventing waste is a good thing; however, extracting a financial benefit from it is a bad thing.

It's not what it used to be. Dishes have been stripped down by half. Cacik without bread, soggy fries, undercooked meat. A shame.

Too expensive for the quality and portion

Tonight, I unexpectedly went out for a bite to eat with my children again. And it simply remains a lovely restaurant with a good menu, tasty food at a reasonable price, friendly service, and well-maintained decor. As far as I know, the business has been run by the same family since the start, and you can feel that. A proud family business and still a fixture in the hospitality industry in Zevenaar. Although we are not frequent visitors, it is a nice go-to because you know it is simply good.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of providing decoration here, and what a wonderful experience that was! 😊 We were received incredibly warmly, and the atmosphere in the place is truly cozy and warm. While we were working, the delicious aromas from the kitchen were already wafting towards us… that bodes well! 🤤 We will definitely be coming back here again to enjoy the food ourselves. Eaten at Ephesus for the first time and it is amazing. Received a very friendly welcome from the ladies upon arrival and were allowed to choose our table. The food was super delicious. Highly recommended for a bite to eat.

Well, besides a restaurant that claims to be a true Italian, this one is our pick! Of course, the prices are excellent, and the pizzas aren't yet baked in a brick oven, but they are good. And the service is well-managed, friendly, customer-focused, and very polite. The neighboring staff could really learn a thing or two from them. There's plenty of space and freedom for small children. Disturbing noise? Rarely, if ever. The restaurant is large enough to separate larger groups from tables of two. The food offers good value for money. We'll leave the judgment to each individual. Nothing to complain about the pizzas, although if they want to distinguish themselves in the future, perhaps they need a real pizza oven. In Antwerp and Italy, we've had the pizzas of our lives. Other Turkish dishes are delicious, tasty, and plentiful. And if you find something less appealing, that's (in our case) a matter of personal taste! And as a seasoned gourmet and/or journalist, don't compare this restaurant to, for example, restaurant 1487 in Zevenaar. That comparison is completely flawed, of course. No, for us and our target audience, this is the restaurant in the market where you can: - Enjoy a relaxed meal with children at an excellent price. - Where you can enjoy a pizza together in a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere if you don't feel like cooking. - Where you just want to enjoy a pleasant evening with friends at a large table. And honestly, the owners really understand how to treat customers! We always feel welcome and like guests here.

Atmospheric, excellent service, and delicious food! Do it!!

The food was delicious; we arrived early because we had a young baby. The staff were very kind to the little one, so we had no worries. We're not from the area, but we were away for the weekend, otherwise I would definitely go there more often!

It's a shame you have such an arrogant manager/owner. You make a customer with a baby wait 35 minutes for their food, and when they want to leave because it's getting late and the food still hasn't arrived, they arrogantly insist they still have to pay, even though the food hasn't arrived yet. The baby is crying, everyone's looking at us, and we're still waiting for our food because we have to pay. Of course, we couldn't eat there because it was getting too late for the baby. Shame on you. It wasn't even busy, otherwise we wouldn't have been there. I strongly advise against Efeze!!!!!

We had a lovely dinner on the terrace with a colleague on Thursday evening. Our eyes were as big as our stomachs. The food was delicious, high-quality, fresh, and excellent meat, and the salads were also delicious. The attentive staff came by several times to check if everything was to our liking and finally even offered us a doggy bag with our leftovers. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Good food for a good price. Although it does not look busy in the restaurant, you may have to wait a while for service, but this is not a problem. Had a pleasant evening and will definitely come back.

Pizzas were mediocre. The toppings seemed to have been added at the last minute. A real shame. Pasta was tasty, which makes for a good meal. Service was attentive, pleasant and not too stiff. Doesn't exude much atmosphere. Needs some freshening up

Wij hebben vandaag heerlijk gegeten bij Efeze Zevenaar. We waren met een groep van 10. Het vlees was super, pasta was heerlijk en de pizza viel ook erg in de smaak. Zeker een aanrader!!

Goed eten tegen een goede prijs. In de zomer ook mooi groot terras. Hier kan je dan lekker genieten van een drankje met wat baklava en ijs. Aanrader!

Lekker gezellig eten. Nu thuis laten bezorgen in Corona tijd en ook dat is een aanrader. Onze complimenten en hopelijk snel tot ziens in het restaurant. Vandaag weer geweest, op onze trouwdag. Nog steeds lekker en gezellig. Een lekkere Pizza Calzone laten personaliseren, champignons er uit en spek met ei er bij. Geen probleem en het smaakte heerlijk. Daarna toetje voor twee, Efeze ijs.

Geweldig gegeten bij dit restaurant. Erg lekker en mals vlees. De vleesschotel is te veel om op te krijgen, maar omdat deze zo lekker is blijf je er van eten! Bediening was attent en goed. Erg genoten!

Werkelijk TOP! Zeer gemotiveerde, vriendelijke bediening waar menig restaurant een voorbeeld aan kan nemen. Zeer gastvrij ontvangen ondanks dat wij laat plaats namen op het terras (20:30) was alles nog beschikbaar om te bestellen. We namen de vleesschotel voor 2 personen; wát een aanrader! Superlekkere groenten, goede salade en rijst, en erg goed vlees qua kwaliteit en smaak en fijn gekruid, precies goed. Een nagerecht paste er echt niet meer bij en de zeer attente bediening maakte 2 schaaltjes om mee naar huis te nemen. Toen wij 15 procent fooi gaven zei de medewerker :"jeetje, dat is heel erg veel, dankuwel!!!" (Deze mate van waardering....geweldig!) Wij zijn zeer onder de indruk van de gastvrijheid, de sfeer, service én het eten. Dikke aanrader en wij komen zéker terug 👌🏻

Heel vriendelijke bediening en heel sfeer vol en gezellig ingerichte binnen. Het eten was heerlijk.

Wij vonden het eten redelijk, er was een overheersende smaak van rozemarijn aanwezig. Dit ook aangegeven aan het bedienend personeel.
