Very nice place. We had a 65th wedding anniversary celebration for grandpa and grandma there. The service was good, the food (good enough for a buffet), and the atmosphere were very pleasant. Children, young and a bit older, can enjoy themselves in the playground.

We arrived on Saturday late afternoon without a reservation. A spot was found for us and we were given an end time, but that was no problem for us. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly.

There is a cozy atmosphere in and around the restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly! The indoor and outdoor playground makes it truly perfect for dining with children. You can also play minigolf on fun courses!

Back after more than 10 years, and now that the children are much older, we had even more fun on the forest path and the rope swing over the pond. The Achterhoek myths about white women are connected to the way of life and the language; try to preserve that better in the maintenance and resist the commercial t-shirts and socks, because the unique atmosphere is worth much more!

We aren't in the area very often, but every time we go, we are not disappointed. It was in one word: Fantastic. Very good food and super nice and friendly service. Highly recommended.

My favorite restaurant in the East! A top spot!😃 It was recommended to me, and I came here every day to enjoy delicious meals with the kids. The sirloin steak was fantastically prepared, as were the tenderloin tips and rump steak. The service was incredibly friendly, and the location was more than amazing! My little one just kept on playing. The whole setting with the restaurant has something special about it. Made very fun for the kids. And as the icing on the cake, they had also decorated a room with my favorite vans! We would love to come back someday!🥰

Faded glory, truly sad to see. As a child, De Witte Wieven was the highlight of the holiday. But this beautiful place is no more… The witches are half decayed, there is weeds everywhere, there was plastic toys in the well and on the roof. In the past, the witches handmade by the baker were unique and a bit creepy, the little box with the string remained fun… And the scales to weigh if you were a witch, the stilts, the well, the woodcarvings of trees from the forest, and when we got a bit older, the exciting footbridge over the pond…. But it is all broken. I left with a heavy heart.

We ate here on Ascension Day. The restaurant was busy, with many families. However, we were still able to grab a quick bite without a reservation (for 2 people). Service was fast, and the staff attentive. Meal salad and 3 sole fillets. The sole fillets were very well prepared. Good value for money.

There was no availability on Saturday, so we made a reservation online in time on Sunday during our holiday. Very friendly service, lots of fun for the children outside, and they also really enjoyed themselves inside (spacious indoor play area). We sat in a quiet section; some main courses were better than others. I didn't like the schnitzel (well, no idea why), but my husband's asparagus was top-notch. The children had schnitzel (tasted better and looked better) and fries with a frikandel; fine. Nice child-sized portions. Luckily, my dessert (hazelnut meringue cake) made my day completely! So we were happy with the lovely end to our Ascension weekend away!

The food was very tasty but it had a creepy atmosphere (which I can understand), because there were dolls hanging from the ceiling so we found that a bit scary, but otherwise it was super good.

Top location to go with children! You can sit comfortably on the terrace while the children play in the playground in front of you. You can also take a beautiful walk in the 'witch's forest' and past the windmill. We love coming here! (with a 3-year-old)

Nice playground for the children next to the restaurant. Sandpit, go-karts, bikes, swing, and plenty of activities in the immediate vicinity. There is a mini-golf course outside. The pancakes were delicious, and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sunshine.

Restaurant De Witte Wieven is a really nice spot just outside Lochem. The setting is beautiful and quiet, surrounded by nature, which makes it a great place to slow down and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming rather than formal, and the staff are very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food is well prepared and always makes us come back here, with great portions and flavors. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend a long evening talking and enjoying the surroundings. Definitely a place we will happily visit again.

After a long horseback ride, we were definitely craving a sandwich. We were allowed to sit outside with the horses, and the staff even gave them a bucket of water. Excellent service. It's great that this is possible.

Last weekend was the last weekend we could eat venison, and we took advantage of it. We had a delicious meal and were glad we'd decided to eat venison one last time that weekend.

A fantastic place for all ages! The playground is large, unique, and perfect for kids to let off steam. Meanwhile, adults can relax on the terrace, with a great view and a pleasant atmosphere. The pancakes are delicious, well-filled, and perfect after playing. The location in Zwiep is the perfect finishing touch: green, peaceful, and cozy. We've been coming to De Witte Wieven regularly for years. It's a fantastic spot! Especially with small children, as there's plenty of room to play both inside and outside. The service is fast and friendly; nothing is too much trouble. They have a delicious lunch menu and always excellent quality. In good weather, you can sit comfortably on the large terrace (great for children, and well-organized), but it's also cozy inside. The price-quality ratio is excellent.

Lovely location, with excellent food, friendly service, and hospitality. It's a shame the pancakes are made with margarine: they should be made with butter for the best result. Otherwise, everything is excellent.

Today, the two of us had a lovely meal after a long walk. For my main course, I had the "Kepotte Schloss" (Broken Bullet), a delicious, perfectly prepared rump steak with mushroom sauce, fries, and a salad. My husband had the "Rib uit je Lichaam" (Rib Out of Your Body), spareribs that fell off the bone, also served with fries and a salad. For dessert, I had "Warm Wief" (Warm Wife), warm apple strudel with vanilla sauce, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream, and my husband had "Kletskoptoren" (Sweet Head Tower), hazelnut ice cream with "Kletskoppen" (Sweet Heads), caramel sauce, and whipped cream. We had a truly delicious meal. If we ever make it back this way from Brabant in the future, we'll definitely stop by again!

This was fantastic! The service was super friendly. The game menu looked promising, and it proved to be absolutely spot on. Well-filled bowls of soup, and the main course was truly excellent. A generously sized plate with a generous piece of wild boar or venison. There was a wide variety of side dishes. The parsnip puree was delicious! And the desserts were also a feast for the eyes. Witte Wieven: a perfect ten!

The food is delicious, and the service is friendly. The park is a bit dated in some areas, but it still has its charm from years gone by. It's simply fun to visit with children or grandchildren.

Three people ate here. The waitress was very rushed, and perhaps because of that, one dish unfortunately came with the wrong sauce. We reluctantly returned the steak to the kitchen to be recooked. It wasn't very tender, but it was cooked well. Perhaps it was just cooked wrong. The portions weren't very generous. While we usually have leftovers, we now had empty plates. The tables by the window were very close together. Several tables were free, but guests were placed behind us (at their request), so we had to take turns getting off our chairs and then slide our chairs completely under the table to get to the table. That was very inconvenient.

The treatment was absolutely disgraceful. It was very busy, and if it takes a little longer, I don't mind. However, we requested a menu twice, but never received one. We looked at the menu online and indicated that we knew what we wanted to order. The staff told us this wasn't possible due to the crowd. We definitely won't be back.

Lovely restaurant, delicious food, and friendly staff. The price is great. We don't have children ourselves, but it's also a great place for them to enjoy the outdoors. We always try different dishes, and everything is good, tasty, and fresh. The Kolde Wieven dessert is highly recommended. We'll keep coming back.

We spent three days in Almen and were searching online for a restaurant that allowed dogs. That's how we found Witte Wieven. It's a shame we don't live nearby, because what a great concept with the play area, dogs are welcome, and you can enjoy delicious food, from pancakes to "drunken Achterhoeker" for dessert. If you're near Lochem, go there! We'll be wearing your T-shirt together, and anyone who asks what that is, we'll point you in the direction of us.

We used to come here, and it still has that old-fashioned charm. A lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and little kids can play there to their heart's content. Friendly and welcoming staff, and no one bothers you if you want to change seats. The food was delicious, too. Highly recommended.

I came here as a child over 30 years ago, because the Witte Wieven is really THE legend here in the area. Always fun with the shaking Witte Wief when you sat down on the bench, and the peeing Witte Wief hanging above you. Now it was all faded glory. All the Witte Wieven are broken and no longer as they used to be. The footbridge was not maintained and could not be walked on. Very unfortunate. You would expect them to maintain it to keep the legend alive. So a tip for the management; do something about it because. Especially if you call your restaurant that!

What a relaxing and nice place. It is not all super luxurious, but ideal for the children. Friendly staff and the food was also good.

Ordered 2 Schnitzels, 1 had shrunk to a very small circle, both were very soft 🥺. The fries were the last ones out of the bag, in our opinion, a lot of end pieces, a shame, it seemed like a nice restaurant.
