One of the tastiest entrecotes I've ever had. Perfectly medium-rare!

The food was delicious. The appetizer and dessert were wonderful. My compliments to the service staff as well. Everything was perfect.

Friendly and very fast service. We were offered a drink on the house because we had to move a table due to a larger group of people arriving unexpectedly. Really great service from them. Definitely recommended if you want to get out and about for a relatively low price.

What a fantastic restaurant!! It was packed, so it was well-known. The food was superb, and the service was excellent. Alert and responsive.

We had a wonderful meal here. The prices are very reasonable. And there's a playground for children both inside and outside, which makes it even more enjoyable for parents. If we didn't live so far away, we would definitely come back more often.

This was fantastic! The service was super friendly. The game menu looked promising, and it proved to be absolutely spot on. Well-filled bowls of soup, and the main course was truly excellent. A generously sized plate with a generous piece of wild boar or venison. There was a wide variety of side dishes. The parsnip puree was delicious! And the desserts were also a feast for the eyes. Witte Wieven: a perfect ten!

The food is delicious, and the service is friendly. The park is a bit dated in some areas, but it still has its charm from years gone by. It's simply fun to visit with children or grandchildren.

Three people ate here. The waitress was very rushed, and perhaps because of that, one dish unfortunately came with the wrong sauce. We reluctantly returned the steak to the kitchen to be recooked. It wasn't very tender, but it was cooked well. Perhaps it was just cooked wrong. The portions weren't very generous. While we usually have leftovers, we now had empty plates. The tables by the window were very close together. Several tables were free, but guests were placed behind us (at their request), so we had to take turns getting off our chairs and then slide our chairs completely under the table to get to the table. That was very inconvenient.

Great food but if you don't like dirty cutlery and plates I wouldn't go here

The treatment was absolutely disgraceful. It was very busy, and if it takes a little longer, I don't mind. However, we requested a menu twice, but never received one. We looked at the menu online and indicated that we knew what we wanted to order. The staff told us this wasn't possible due to the crowd. We definitely won't be back.

Had a wonderful meal at De Witte Wieven in Lochem. A variety of meats, and for dessert, delicious apple strudel with vanilla sauce, ice cream, and whipped cream. I restrained myself from licking my plate. 😋😁👌

Lovely restaurant, delicious food, and friendly staff. The price is great. We don't have children ourselves, but it's also a great place for them to enjoy the outdoors. We always try different dishes, and everything is good, tasty, and fresh. The Kolde Wieven dessert is highly recommended. We'll keep coming back.

A positive experience! Friendly service, an extensive menu, and delicious food. The tables and chairs are comfortable, making it even more pleasant to sit inside. We were there for the first time and were so impressed that we immediately reserved a table for lunch with a friend a week later.

It's a nice place to visit with children/grandchildren. It does need some renovation here and there. We only had coffee and cake on the terrace, and that was fine.

We spent three days in Almen and were searching online for a restaurant that allowed dogs. That's how we found Witte Wieven. It's a shame we don't live nearby, because what a great concept with the play area, dogs are welcome, and you can enjoy delicious food, from pancakes to "drunken Achterhoeker" for dessert. If you're near Lochem, go there! We'll be wearing your T-shirt together, and anyone who asks what that is, we'll point you in the direction of us.

We used to come here, and it still has that old-fashioned charm. A lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and little kids can play there to their heart's content. Friendly and welcoming staff, and no one bothers you if you want to change seats. The food was delicious, too. Highly recommended.

I came here as a child over 30 years ago, because the Witte Wieven is really THE legend here in the area. Always fun with the shaking Witte Wief when you sat down on the bench, and the peeing Witte Wief hanging above you. Now it was all faded glory. All the Witte Wieven are broken and no longer as they used to be. The footbridge was not maintained and could not be walked on. Very unfortunate. You would expect them to maintain it to keep the legend alive. So a tip for the management; do something about it because. Especially if you call your restaurant that!

What a relaxing and nice place. It is not all super luxurious, but ideal for the children. Friendly staff and the food was also good.

Ordered 2 Schnitzels, 1 had shrunk to a very small circle, both were very soft 🥺. The fries were the last ones out of the bag, in our opinion, a lot of end pieces, a shame, it seemed like a nice restaurant.

Played midget golf on a newly constructed course. Nice, neat, good quality course. Recommended.

Something different than Scholten in Lochem. Texel alcohol free beer drunk because I was a driver. I read on the bottle that it was brewed in Den Bosch, why Texel?

Had a great birthday party, own tap, full fridge, tasty salads. Very nice surroundings, and laugh while playing midget golf!

Delicious food! Only took a bit long before we got the starter and my daughter's pancake was burnt but it was exchanged. I would definitely eat here again!

What a fantastic place for children and their parents, or grandparents! So much enjoyed the surroundings, everything there is to do (for young and old) and the food, which is, in a word, delicious!! Really, I have rarely eaten so well. A big 10.

Traditionally visited with the children, now with the grandchildren. Of course we ate something, the kids had frikadel. My own mustard soup, tasty, and carpaccio, also tasty, but the combination with capers does not appeal to me. So it was put aside.

Prima restaurant, vriendelijke bediening, uitgebreide menukaart. Ruim opgezet altijd fijn als je niet bijna bij de buren op schoot zit. Heerlijke zeebaars filet gegeten mooi op de huid gebakken. En dit alles voor een heel redelijke prijs.

We had a staff outing there. A buffet + ghost tour 👍🏼 These were both really tasty and fun. The buffet was really fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. We asked for a doggy bag, because there was so much left and we thought it would be a shame to throw it away, but this was also possible and was no problem. Really great 👍🏼. Very customer friendly. The ghost tour was also creepy in the dark and very fun to experience. It is definitely recommended for both young and old.

Eten prima, maar de hygiëne is ver te zoeken!! Heel erg vies (wolken stof in speelruimte en vastgeplakte kauwgom op de grond) , toiletten vies en buiten erg rommelig en slecht onderhouden. Kinderen kunnen hier echt ziek van worden terwijl het juist zo'n fijne plek voor kinderen zou kunnen zijn! Doe hier iets mee...

Delicious food with children and grandchildren. It was busy and the service was fast. However, attention was always paid to the various tables to inquire whether everything was in order and whether any additions or drinks were needed.

On May 25, 2024, we informally commemorated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother here with the whole family, who passed away suddenly on November 25, 2023 at the age of 91. The so-called VW room was reserved for us for this purpose and that was very pleasant. We had a delicious meal and it was very pleasant. And the service was also great. Restaurant and Spices de Witte Wieven is a real returner and highly recommended. Family Heddema and family van der Wijden. And yesterday we had another intimate family dinner. It was delicious as usual.

A bad experience, lukewarm pancake, plain with containers of loose bacon, mushrooms and grated cheese, I don't like savory and got jam as an alternative and the pancake cost 11 euros 85. No disabled toilet, very heavy doors. The only positive thing was the service was nice. This was the first and last time for me, what a mockery

The food was delicious. The service is friendly and pleasant. One negative point...many of the seats of the upholstered chairs were very stained....a pity

Today I was there with my family and our children. We were not treated nicely at all by the owner. She was disrespectful and discriminatory and we were watched all the time and even counted how many children we had. The owner complained about children running in the restaurant. We choose to go there so that our children and us adults can have an enjoyable day. There is an indoor playground and an outdoor playground. So it makes sense that our children have to go in and out of the restaurant to be able to play in both places. After disrespectful communication towards us, we asked for the bill. My son, who was left behind, was asked if he speaks Dutch. There was also discrimination. My children were born and raised Dutch and if that is not the case then this is certainly not acceptable. It's a shame that this is still happening in 2024.

Today we were with family at the Witte Wieven. Where we have enjoyed coming for years, but after today I will advise everyone not to eat/drink here anymore. I was asked for a cookie by my 5 year old nephew who had dropped his cookie. Then the owner came to demand the 'fallen cake' back in order to give another cake. She first wanted to see proof that the cookie had really fallen. We indicate that it was cleared up by the waitress. And then the conversation took a different turn. There was a silly discussion about a dropped cookie. We remained polite and asked if she really meant this. What she then suddenly started talking about was that 'our 5 children were all running through the restaurant'. She should have reported this earlier and she did not do so. Then we go inside to pick up the children so we can leave, and we hear them talking about us. They are challenged about this and try to discuss it again. Have a nice day and we walk to the play area and walk back into the restaurant and we hear them say the following: “Nothing to do with such people.” Excuse me! This goes too far, there was no professionalism at all from the owner and we really saw this as discrimination! To prevent things from getting out of hand, such people paid for their table and we left, never to go to such a negative, discriminatory, unprofessional place again. The guts…..

Lots of choice of delicious dishes. Perfect for children who can play here and we can enjoy it on the terrace, where we were helped quickly and friendly. In short, enjoy yourself at the Witte Wieven!

What a beautiful thing! No reservation, but we were made very welcome. We opted for a place on the terrace. Friendly and efficient hostesses. Delicious food, well seasoned and very generous portions. Oh yes, and a beautiful playground for children.
